The story of the Tower of Babel took place around 1000 BCE. According to the story, before this time all of man spoke the same language for there was only one. Not until God's punishment on us for the construction of the tower were different languages created. Unfortunately, this story is far from accurate. Sumerian writings date back as far as 3200 BCE, hieroglyphs of Egypt date back to about 3100 BCE, Proto-Sinaitic script dates back to 1500 BCE, Sanskrit dates back to 1700BCE (possibly more) and Chinese was developed prior to 1200 BCE. Clearly mankind did not speak one language prior to 1000 BCE. What's the explanation given for this discrepancy? more

Resolved Question: Polynesians did have a ancient writing system from my research, your thoughts?

European history has refused to listen to ancient Polynesian history passed on from many generations and concluded their own theory based on some what similar DNA that traces our migration from southeast Asia. However, from my research Rapa Nui (Easter Island) have found ancient scripts that date back as far as good knows when. Those scripts (ancient writings) found on Easter island called "RongoRongo" have the same exact matches of one of the oldest and perhaps first sophisticated civilizations ever discovered, "Indus Valley". Our history books fail to acknowledge our connection. The Indus Valley is many many miles from Polynesia and we can finally argue that Polynesians are indigenous to the south pacific and Migrated outwards to colonize South East Asia. These ancient scripts found in Easter Island (Polynesia) and Indus Valley out date any artifacts in South East Asia. So therefore we can debunk the theory of Polynesians coming from Southeast Asia and argue that Polynesians came from the Pacific and migrated towards Southeast Asia (the other way around). I just debunked those theories that mainstream archeologist claim.. Your thoughts? more

Hiya, I'm a new to writing, and I would like some opinions on my writings. All of the people that I ask seem to be a little biased, since their friends and family members. Now, I'm new, so don't be too harsh...;] This is a fanfiction that I'm working on. Tell me what you think and what I should do to improve! Imagine being a fifteen year old on summer break. Your daily routine would be that you get up, you get dressed, gorge yourself on sugar loaded crap cereal, and sit yourself in front of the TV and watch, but not really watch. Instead of paying attention to the script and the actors before you, your mind wanders. And wanders, and wanders… and wanders. My mind wandered too, but not in the same way yours did. I didn’t adjust my body if the chair was uncomfortable. I just lay there, day after day, week after week, month after month, and even year after year. Hi. My name’s Andre Griffin, and I’m not like you. Well, yeah, I’m a fifteen year old guy, but I don’t get up and watch millions of three color pixels to entertain myself the way you do. An Edict was issued that any one in possession of these Gospels will be put to death. In 383 C.E., the Pope secured a copy of the Gospel of Barnabas and kept it in his private library. In the fourth year of Emperor Zeno (478 C.E. ), the remains of Barnabas were discovered and there was found on his breast a copy of the Gospel of Barnabas written by his own hand. (Acia Sanctorum Boland Junii Tom II, Pages 422 and 450. Antwerp 1698) . The famous Vulgate Bible appears to be based on this Gospel. Pope Sixtus (1585-90) had a friend, Fra Marino. He found the Gospel of Barnabas in the private library of the Pope. Fra Marino was interested because he had read the writings of Iranaeus where Barnabas had been profusely quoted. The Italian manuscript passed through different hands till it reached "a person of great name and authority" in Amsterdam, "who during his life time was often heard to put a high value to this piece". After his death it came in the possession of J. E. Cramer, a Councillor of the King of Prussia. In 1713 Cramer presented this manuscript to the famous connoisseur of books, Prince Eugene of Savoy. In 1738 along with the library of the Prince it found its way into Hofbibliothek in Vienna. There it now rests. Toland, in his "Miscellaneous Works" (published posthumously in 1747), in Vol. I, page 380, mentions that the Gospel of Barnabas was still extant. In Chapter XV he refers to the Glasian Decree of 496 C.E. where "Evangelium Barnabe" is included in the list of forbidden books. Prior to that it had been forbidden by Pope Innocent in 465 C.E. and by the Decree of the Western Churches in 382 C.E. Barnabas is also mentioned in the Stichometry of Nicephorus Serial No. 3, Epistle of Barnabas . . . Lines 1, 300. Then again in the list of Sixty Books Serial No. 17. Travels and teaching of the Apostles. Serial No. 18. Epistle of Barnabas. Serial No. 24. Gospel According to Barnabas. A Greek version of the Gospel of Barnabas is also found in a solitary fragment. The rest is burnt. The Latin text was translated into English by Mr. and Mrs. Ragg and was printed at the Clarendon Press in Oxford. It was published by the Oxford University Press in 1907. This English translation mysteriously disappeared from the market. Two copies of this translation are known to exist, one in the British Museum and the other in the Library of the Congress, Washington, DC. Resolved Question: Speaking of faith & homosexuality...?

A really cool, close friend of mine has been going thru a bit of a spiritual crisis. Lately, though, she's found spiritual comfort in biblical script & modern Christian writings. That's all fine, I gather, because I suppose we're all looking for inner peace. However, this new found guidance has also caused her some new inner conflict because she's gay and, as she's discovered, "the Bible says homosexuality is wrong". So now she's torn about being true to her new found faith & true to what her heart tells her. Personally, though I'm straight, I don't agree with that schtick about homosexuality being wrong. As a counter, I could point to Biblical passages that would make the average person do a double take & let out a "What the..??? That's not right!!" but I don't want to stomp all over a general belief that's bringing her comfort. So I'm curious to know from any of the glbt community, with strong beliefs in Christianity, as to how you accomodate what you are with a faith whose majority of followers would condemn you for being gay? I told my friend God loves her, and designed her the way she is; and that she's not alone in going through this. Your thoughts? more

Resolved Question: If you could redub a poorly dubbed anime series to make it better, what would it be and who would be cast?

I'll go first so you'd get how it works I'd redub Pokemon. Bring back all the main voice actors from the 4kids dub, and since times have changed I'd put back their original Japanese names and Japanese writings everywhere, re-record some scenes that were changed for political correctness but now make no difference. But this would be mainly for the first movie as it was butchered to death, put back the Mewtwo Origin story, remove the stupid 'fighting is wrong' moral since that wasn't in the Japanese version. Then completely skip ALL filler arcs such as the Orange and Master Quest series. I'd change the script where filler materials are mentioned. Add occasional swearing, no further than the word 'damn'. And put all but one of the banned episodes back in and all cut scenes back in. And finally, while keeping the English names of the Pokemon, I would change some of their voices, like make Growlithe sound like a real dog instead of a guy making a complete moron by pretending to be a dog. And Meowths would have normal meows. more

This sound, familiar to those in the neighboring rooms, was heard about 20 times a day. Andrew Phillips, a man of great importance in the writing community, had just finished his third round of cleaning which was ironic sine this apartment was in tip top shape for the next two years. Dust bunnies didn’t dare entering his apartment for they knew they’d be reduced to nothing from the 24/7 sweeping. Cockroaches and other household insects didn’t bother visiting since nothing in the apartment attracted their attention. As you may have already figured out, Andrew Phillips was a clean freak. This mans appearance was very peculiar. He was tall, not too tall, with brown hair sprinkled with hints of gray. His eyes were small but were colored with the brightest of blues. He was the only man I have ever seen, in all my years of traveling, who has stayed in the same apartment for duration of ten years. Scientifically speaking, he has automysophobia, a fear of being dirty, unclean, or smelling bad, and agoraphobia, fear of being in crowds, public places, or open areas. All his everyday needs were shipped to his house. Not one envelope has he received which doesn’t contain a check or a bill. His food supplies and cleaning products are delivered daily and pushed through a slot which is under the mail slot; both specially designed and made for him when he moved in. Now on this particular day, after Mr. Phillips finished his daily cleaning routine, he sat down and started writing. He was now on the third chapter of his sequel. His books are read by children and adults, satisfying and interesting to both generations. So just as Mr. Phillips was to start typing, Ding! The doorbell rang indicating that the mail man has come to bring his mails. Mr. Phillips didn’t bother replying or opening the door for every mail man or delivery man in the city, maybe even the state, knew that Mr. Phillips is afraid of germs and wouldn’t open the door. The mail man then simply dropped the mail into a slot and his footsteps drifted away. Mr. Phillips calmly walked up to the door and picked his mail up. He calmly sifted through it recognizing every single one simply by its texture, all of them but one. This one felt unfamiliar in his fingers. He pulled this envelope out and stared at it. It was an envelope in an elegant color of dull green with shiny golden writings in script. All Mr. Phillips read was the part that said to whom it was addressed, Mr. Thompson. This was enough to shock him. The letter fell from his hand and onto the floor with a thud. “Who could be writing to me?” he questioned aloud. He thought to himself and answered, “Unless… Unless it is one of those envious authors trying to kill me so that they will get all the fame and adoration! Someone is out to get me! I bet this envelope holds a teeming army of germs which will murder me the instant I open it!” The creativity and imagination of authors can sometimes be a handful. He then ran for his life as if the germs might break open the seal of the letter and attack him. He ran as fast as he could but was stopped by a wall. He smacked into it and fell to the ground unconscious with a loud thud. I zoomed around trying to get a better look of the letter which lay near his feet. The letter said: To Mr. Phillips Class of 94 Norcom High 25th Reunion “Oh well. Time to spy on someone else.” I then thought. This was a very entertaining event for us flies but we have more important things to do like feast on delicious decaying fruits. I flew across the room, behind the fridge, and through the hole to the outside world to hoping I wasn’t too late for this yummy brown apple. Hopefully he’ll wake up in a few hours and notice the letter isn’t really from a jealous author out to kill him but actually and invitation from his old school for a reunion. more

I'd say that Hollywood's mains problems are their loss market and piracy. On one hand, Hollywood has suffered loss developing their own films industries. They spent a lot at these companies. And on the other hand, piracy is not beginning friendly to Hollywood. Piracy has reduced sales at the Hollywood's great market. Now it’s mainly based on DVD and ticket sales. (Here the end of the first writing) **************************************… I think that the main reason for copying movies illeally is the high costs of the cinemas. However , it's not the only reason, there are more that are of a heavy weighty. We must consider several points. First, as I have said before, the high cost of the cinemas. Many families are starting to get tired of these costs. The tickets for children are all around €5,00 and for adults, near € 8,00. For a family that have to feed many mouth , an offer like download films free , it's more profitable than to empty their pockets. Second, the insecure about if it will be a good film. In the recent years, Hollywood has starting to release new trilogy movies looking for profit and success as it was to “Lord of the rings". Unfortunately, any of the movies released were successful. People starting to complain about these expenses and they opted to download films were better that to pay a ticket and get disappointed of the movie. In conclusion, I think the mains reasons of piracy are the high cost of the cinemas and the quality, script of the new movies. Much better stay at home and to not pay anything for watching a film. I really poured out so sorry if it's long. Although, I feel better just letting it all out. Thanks for reading. Ok, you ever had one of those times where it seems like the worst things that can happen in your life just all chose that one time to take place? Things have dragged since sumemr started. I set a goal to make 2k for my school shopping before school starts, it's gonna' be my snr year. I wanted to transfer to a new school and the school I'm going to is filled with competition so I have to work extra hard. Let me just stop cause I'm starting tot sound like a shallow minded pathetic excuse for a teeneager. So, my pathetic excuse for a part time job isn't cutting me too much hours; don't ask me why? I probably just got dropped from my summer school that I was using to make up 2 credits: missed 3days already due to lack of transportation. Now missing these 2 credits might mean I have to go to school again after my snr year for a tri to make them up. which means I can't fail any classes next year. Now, I'm left with no money in my bank account. I have many things I have to fix before school starts so let me just list them... 1. My dad just told us our tennants are moving out of one of our houses and we're gonna' be moving in since he likes it better than the one we're living in. The neighborhood we're going has all my friends and people from my school which means people coming over which I can't allow cause all that's in my room is a mattress that I'm taller than horizontally, an old pillow and another hard platform that the matress lays on. For the pc geeks, it has 256mb of ddr (not even ddr1) pc133mhz of RAM. it has a crappy 1ghz intel pentium with a crappy stock cooler. It has 30gb of hdd space. Um...what else it has no video card and it's about ready to die. It's an old dell optiplex gx150. SO I NEED A NEW PC. 3. So after the 3rd try i finally passed my written test so i now have my permit. My dad had gotten me a toyota but i couldnt drive it yet and my sister's infiniti was having some problems so she started driving my car, i just decided she should have it since a 92 camry isn't really my kinda' car. Well now the infiniti still isn't fixed. I need 600$ to fix the body and buy a new body kit. I need to change the paint job and there're some other things that need to be done. It might just cost $1500 in total. 4. I need my school shopping. Yup. Everyone else is going summer shopping but I said skip it since I'm kinda' broke. I'm so out of clothes that I'm starting to wear a pair of jeans twice in a week. And clothes are expensive these days and shoes so that's gonna' cost me a lot. Well that about explains everything. I've produced a lot of beats and i've been working on different various writings. I'm actually a really well advance writer and I do a lot of writing in my free time. I have a dell inspiron 1501, its running windows xp. I recently recovered it by using the back up disk, all my writings and my music and my videos were safe, but for some reason it wouldn't let me pick up on the sims 2 games where I left off, it wouldn't even run them. I then purchased nortan antivirus, i figured there must be a virus on here that isn't letting it run properly. It won't all me to install aim, internet explorer (im using safari), it let me install yahoo messanger though, it won't let me update my java on here, and it won't let me install my computer games. Every time it starts up my norton comes up and it comes up with a box that says "dell resource cd" and it says "preparing to install" im not sure what though, and then it comes up with a message of "the install script engine is missing from this machine if available please run ISscript.msi, or contact your support personal for further assistence" what does that mean? how do I run ISscript.msi?? How do I fix this? Is this what's causing my computer not to be able to install the things listed above? more

The greek word they use to translate cross is Stauros and through my studies and reliable literature and translators of ancient scripts and writings indicate very much or almost completely that the original context or meaning of this word was just a pole or upright stake. It was much later after the time of the apostles that the word was defined as a stake with a cross piece. Also the Cross has been used as a symbol of religious worship long before christianity in places such as India, Syria, Persia and Egypt. Crosses were used to identify the Babylonian Sun God and were seen on coins of ancient rome with Julius Caesar and Augustus which ruled before Rome adopted christianity. The book "A Short History of Sex-Worship" Notes that "Various figures of crosses are found everywhere on Egyptian monuments and tombs and are considered by many authorities as symbolical either of the phallus [a representation of the male sex organ] or of coition... In Egyptian tombs the cux ansata [cross with a circle or handle on top] is found side by side with the phallus." So it is fairly clear to me that Christendom adopted this symbol like all the other nations throughout history. Resolved Question: Please tell me what you think of my observations of Islam?

I converted to Islam a few years ago. I think I had a special opportunity to see what Islam really is, from the inside(an opportunity that born-muslims, and outsiders never had). I say born-muslims because, mostly, they are taught from birth that nothing is true except Islam, and all of its teachings. Which is brainwashing. And outsiders just cannot view Islam from the inside. Islam is a great religion, great teachings for the most-part, interesting views, and good morals. But one thing, one thing that stood out about it, is that Islam strikes fear into its followers to submit to Islam, not God. The Qur'an tells Muslims to disown their children if they convert away from Islam. The Qur'an says that converting from Islam is an unforgivable sin and one will spend eternity in Hell for committing it. Many other things like this appear frequently in the Qur'an. These things made me think that Islam is only aimed at power in numbers. And regardless of what muslims say, the Qur'an has many contradictions, just as every other religion. Also if you look at the way the Qur'an is written, it seems to be more like a collection of writings, not one whole book. I mean that it is not in any order whatsoever, just a jumble of scripts. The prophet Mohammad spent many of time on Trade Caravan routes, which he heard many stories(ie. religious stories). So my question is, what do you think about my observations? I am thinking of writing a short story or script for a play based on this idea: Suppose you played a flirtatious stunt on a guy. The guy sees you all the time at the library and keeps looking at you but does not say anything. You get irritated because he does not come right out and say he likes you. Some of your friends know the guy so you get together and think up a stunt where you shake the man’s a long time and will not let go when he tries to pull away. You’re not supposed to tell him the real reason why you’re shaking his hand so you make up a reason. Your friends tell you the man likes to see women wear their shirts tucked in and long sleeves either pushed up or rolled up will compliment the handshake. The man will definitely learn his lesson if you shake his hand wearing that type of outfit. Knowing this is fictional, how would you perform this stunt/joke? #1: How would you introduce yourself and what would you talk about? #2: How long would you shake his hand and how would you react when he tried to pull away? #3: What type of outfit would you wear, in as much detail as possible? Resolved Question: HELP..............please?

okay so I have been posting here about my youngest son...17, after my dad died..2 yrs back..he totally changed...became agnostic, started acting rude, unapreciative...lying etc. yesterday I find burned toothpicks in his room...and today I find some writings in some very weird script that I dont recognize...its not japanese...and its not hebrew...or aramaic..but, it kind of looks like it might be close to something like that... anyways, one of the writings depicts pictures (he drew this) of stick people on is man one is woman...and the man is killing the woman with an arrow through the heart,....and there are writings togo with each picture. I also talked with him last night..he broke down and cried but then everything back to normal abnorm. I found some things he had written about too much being on him or he feels like he is falling apart...along with how he hates us all for crying over my dad dying. 1. any ideas as to what this writing might be so that I can translate it.? 2.2....should I get him a psyche evaluation...my maternal side has a lot of mental illness..thanks patriot and Patricia for your concern but I was deemed perfectly sane in 1989 by the psychiatrists at Oakland county Psychiactric hospital after I had an emotional breakdown and tried to kill myself....but thanks more

im writiing a script and its about a girl who talks to the camera as if the camera is a person she also shares her emotion to the camera... so out of these which one would it be..... Interior monologue: This is where the actor speaks as if to himself or herself. It is introspective and reveals the inner motives to the audience. This is also a common device in stream of consciousness writings. It's a rough idea, so bear with me. Just tell me what you think, if you have an suggestions. A man (John) is sent to the hospital. His fiancé (Karen) and his best friend (Jim) come to visit him a lot. The doctor says Jon will be fine, but Jim, who has been after Karen, tells her otherwise and she leaves John to be with his Jim. John becomes depressed and starts writing about the hospital. Slowly over time he starts to lose sanity as the drugs affect his mind. He begins to lose sense of who he is and what is going on as he stays longer. He loses his memory and refers back to the writings to see who he is. As he stays longer, Jim and Karen get married and come back to visit them. John doesn’t remember ever going out with Karen, and congratulates the two. However, upon reading some of his writings shortly afterward, he sees her name and starts to recollect. As he comes out of his stupor, he loses even more sanity as he realizes how much he’s lost in the hospital.Possible ending: John finally gets out and tries to get Karen back, but she has fallen in love with Jim. John confronts Jim and tries to kill him for lying to Karen about his condition. Possible ending 2: John doesn’t recover because he loses the will to live. Jim and Karen come to visit him, but it hurts John so much that he doesn’t want to talk to anyone again. He stops caring and dies alone. I reread it, and realized that writing a plot summary at 3 in the morning while in the hospital on drugs is probably not the best of ideas, but you give two months of writer's block time to sit and it'll drive ya crazy. Resolved Question: How to make a yes/no agreement box on a webpage using html or similar script.?

Okay, so I've made a personal blog in which I write my true feelings about things, a journal if you will. I'm going to be very careful with who I give the url to, but I still want visitors to have to click a confidentiality confirmation box before they can read my writings. I've seen such things done before, so I know it's possible. I don't want a new window (like a pop-up) to open #1 because that would be annoying, and #2 because a pop-up blocker would swallow it up without their agreement. What I'm thinking about is maybe an image that covers most (if not all) of the page which contains the information on the confidentiality agreement and a yes and no area to click on. If "yes", then it will close the image and display the rest of the webpage behind it. If "no", then it will redirect them to, say, www.google.com. I know that this will be a complicated script, but if someone can help me create it, then I would greatly appreciate it. This is the last step for my site. Thanks more
