Hello, I am 17 years old and wish to try make a ptc site but dont know the first thing about ftp hosting and such. I know its possible to get a free ftp host and web creator but do not understand how to create a ptc website. I also have a pretty much zero budget for this project but I have seen some free basic ptc scripts about. The question is "How does Shakespeare create tension in Romeo and Julie In the script of Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare conveys a lot of tension building devices and techniques, from imagery to puns. Particularly in act 3 scene 1 in which two respected and powerful characters tragically lose their lives. This scene is also where this play unfortunately turns from romance to tragedy and everything starts to spiral out of control, therefore I can closely relate this part of the play to the word “However” as until then everything there have been no major problems. I also think due to the tragedy has been fore coming for years due to the Capulet and Montague family feud. Tybalt also shares his name with a cat or feline this can be associated with the fact that he has a very aggressive, dominant and sort of sly personality as it is like he is living up to and taking the characteristics of his name. He is also quite a troublesome character that likes to cause drama. At one point he addresses Romeo “Boy” this insult belittles Romeo in turn the audience expect him to react, it also strengthens the audience’s impressions of Tybalts personality. Tybalts insults are particularly good at creating tension as he is insulting someone who has an equal amount of power as him so they should be treating each other with respect and by not doing this the audience think they will have a fight also at the beginning he is in another dispute which ends in a fight so the audience know he’s capable of it. Mercutio name is similar to mercurial which means to be quick and changeable in temperament which he shows by stopping being a joker and turning hostile when Tybalt approaches. He is also an effective source of tension as he has a very determined and persistent personality and he is also very respected and liked by all the other characters and when confronted by Tybalt it is although he doesn’t want to lose his pride, therefore when asked to leave or go and sort it out calmly without violence by his friend Benvolio he responds “Men’s eyes were made to look, and let them gaze; I will not budge for any mans pleasure, I.” In modern English this roughly means “let them watch, I won’t stop just because they’re watching me” this quote is a good creator of tension as we also know that Tybalt will not back down either so can for see a fight. Benvolio which means is also similar to benevolent which means to be kind, however unlike Tybalt and Mercutio he does not create tension through hostility he creates it through trying to stop avoid the fight as when he says “I pray thee, good Mercutio, let's retire: The day is hot, the Capulet’s abroad, And, if we meet, we shall not scape a brawl; For now, these hot days, is the mad blood stirring.” The audience instantly start to visualize a fight happening very soon also by intervening whilst Mercutio and Tybalt are arguing makes them look weak. Romeo is the final character I think creates tension as when he approaches Tybalt you know there is going to be trouble as he is out looking specifically for Romeo. When Romeo backs away and refuses a fight this also makes them look weak and Mercutio feels humiliated as he has already said Romeo will not back down from you and will fight you. Dramatic irony is another device used to create tension, it occurs when Romeo enters the scene to see Mercutio and Tybalt disputing after Romeo and Juliet has just been married when he tries to calm down the situation he gets attacked by Tybalt as he’s being attacked he claims “and so good Capulet which name I tender and dearly as my own be satisfied” this means he also loves the Capulet’s as much as his own family which makes all the characters on stage surprised and disgusted however we already know why Also previously in the play when Tybalt see’s Romeo at the Capulet party he vows to himself “I will withdraw, but this intrusion shall Now seeming sweet convert to bitter gall.” Which mean “I will leave him and why he’s here he will think he has got away with it but eventually I will get revenge” more

I grew up in a catholic family (also baptized), but religion has played such a minimal part in my life. I choose not to follow a single religion (such as christianity), for one reason only: What makes christianity "more correct" than any other religion other groups choose to follow??? Just because you were born into a christian family means you are a christian??? that's messed up. Although I don't believe in the Christian God (and genesis) etc.... I believe that there is a master creator (a different "god") out there... one that created the universe, and the science which allowed our universe to naturally create itself. Personally...(and i don't mean to offend anyone by saying this)...I don't understand how somebody can believe in a story like the creation story in the bible. It sounds like a far-fetched cover-up to mislead insecure people into believing that they are going to heaven when they die...almost as a way to cope with a fear of death and "eternal nothingness" (thats the best way i can describe it). How was the earth created in 7 days? that's not scientifically possible. How was a woman created out of a man's rib? That's not possible either. Or was it just a miracle? ...like everything else that can be scientifically proven wrong. This is not to say I don't believe in Jesus and the morals one can learn from his life. I often enjoy reading verses in the bible to learn how to be a better person. I also read buddhist scripts for the same reason. I've never really disscussed my beliefs with anyone, nor have i spent a lot of time in church. So can someone explain to me where I stand "religious-wise"? THANKS... more

Voting Question: Can anyone give me a SIMPLE explanation about buttons in Flash MX?

I've been at a loss with buttons in Flash MX...I know you have to use action scripts to do this stuff (Yes, i'm a n00b at Flash. I literally just got it yesterday.) but it's just too hard! I'm wondering if I should only have 1 frame for the main menu. But I have music playing also, but only for the main page, but it stops on the 10th frame when I click the button...help?? Kinda hard, I am a die-hard WWE fan but in my opinon it take awhile to type up the script and crap, but I had the following feuds in place: 1. R-Truth(face) vs John Cena(heel) over the IC Championship on Smackdown Premise: Truth is having an special interview with Matt S. on Raw about his life and his rapping career and how it shoot off, then John attacks him from behind turning heel. 3. Alright so im in secondary 4 (grade 10) and i live in quebec, canada. i only have secondary 4 and 5 left before going to college. Seeing that this year is important I am starting to freak out over it, and for me this is big because I am the biggest slacker in school possible....well now you can call me an EX- slacker. Anyways i want to go into the video game industry, somewhere along the feilds of computer engineer, video game developer or programmer. I know i need to get straight A's in science and mathematics, but other than that i amcompletely lost. Can someone tell me what else i need to study to later have a successful career. I would like to know what schools are good for me, preferably somewhere near where i live, but seeing that most schools are in the U.S. I dont mind them being there...as long as it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to go there. And in those schools what courses are needed. Also if there is anyhting i could read or watch on my spare time to advance my learning, such as books on scripting or videos on how to make a game would be greatly appreciated. I am currently watching the videos from XNA Creators Club on how to make a 2D game with C#. Resolved Question: C&A: Does it discourage you from pursuing a series if the characters are aware that they're animated?

When the charcaters of the series are given full wareness that they're animated, or awareness that they were drawn by the author and they give obvious hints or they make references to it, for example, in the middle of the episode theres a conversation between two of the characters in the series, one of them asks "What episode are we in right now?", the other one responds by saying "I believe this is Episode 15", or if one of the characters asks "What happened to your face?", and the other one replys by saying "thats simply the way I was drawn in this scene". Just a couple of examples of the characters having a sort of "Awareness" of not bieng real. Does this sort of discourage you from continuing the series? Does the series seem less believable to you when this happens? Bonus: 1)When the creator of the series writes the script so the characters reference his/her name and gives credit to thier name, does it give you a message about the personality of the person that created it? 2)Do you think every animated character should always be oblivious to wether they're animated or not? 3)Do you think the characters knowing that thier animated raises the comedy aspect of the series?, do you really believe its all that funny? Pre-script: Yeah, this is long, feel free to answer some other question, but I beseech you, if you know anything about MC5... one, I feel sorry for you for ever getting involved for it, and sorry that your brain works in a way that can understand this program, and two, please help me figure this out! Okay, so I got this great new music program. Music Creator 5. First of all, I have to set up tons of settings like midi controllers and sound output settings that no normal human being would understand. Next I have to register my product so that it doesn't count as a 30 day trial. I went to the website and put in all of my info, pressed register and it gave me some error message I didn't understand. So I went back and tried again and it said that my software was already registered. Well THREE days went by and I didn't get an e-mail with the code I was supposed to put into the program. (Eventually I contacted them and a couple of days later they gave me one, seeming to dodge the issue of their piece of crap website) So I start using it, and I decide, "I think I'll take the time to read the instructions and get to know the program better, as it does seem pretty complicated." I open up the instructions, and I read step one... Press File, Open... then it explains how to use this unnecessary EXTRA navigation menu that jumps you between dimensions that are completely disconnected from your hard drive, giving you absolutely no idea what folder you're in. Luckily that was the easy part. It said to go to a folder and click on a certain demo project. Well that demo project doesn't exist on this planet. So now the instructions are useless. I try to go about it on my own, but the program's freaking possessed! I've learned how to make it do what it's SUPPOSED to do, but it doesn't do what it's SUPPOSED to do. I play notes (ONE AT A TIME WITH MY MOUSE, SINCE THAT'S ALL I CAN DO) and adjust them for tempo, etc. Then I play the song, and it sounds okay... I add another instrument and the whole thing is ruined. I play the song one time and it sounds okay, I play it again and some of the notes just don't even play! I play it again and DIFFERENT notes don't play! I start pushing buttons, and I see one that says "Freeze Synth" whatever that means. It sounded safe enough. Well, that turned the midi tones into an audio sound clip. That's what I wanted to do at the end! It makes all of the tones stable so that notes don't get skipped! So that's good news. I press undo to go back to editing them, and NOW instrument 1 is echoing. For no reason! I didn't click anything different, but now it's ECHOING! And instrument 2 is just picking random notes to go up an octave. For example if the notes go 1,2,3 it'll show it playing 1,2,3, but out of the speakers you hear 1,2,9! I tried fixing the first instrument's echoes by pushing the "Input Echo" button... Well when you push that button, depending on the circumstances, it will toggle between "Auto-thru", "On", or "Off"... But you never know when it'll ONLY toggle bettween "On" and "Off" or "Auto-thru" and "On"! Well this time I couldn't turn it off because the buttons do different things every time I press them. Oh, and finally, as I'm playing music, one key at a time, sometimes it'll just run away without me, holding down the note I just tapped once... and then I'll push again assuming it's stuck, and instead of stopping playing the note, it plays a different note on the other end of the freaking keyboard on and on forever! So, my questions are: 1. How on earth do I turn off this crazy echo thing? 2. How do I get these tracks to play the same way each time, and to play the way I arranged them in the first place? more

Ok, prior to my first question which asked if it would be possible to host a website at home. Many people said it wouldn't be safe. AND I THINK THATS SOME BULL SH*T! Ok now I've figured that one of my favorite idols, Tom Fulp (creator of Newgrounds.com) had hosted his website in his own basement when he was younger. I don't see any difference from his idea to mine hosting mine at home... I'm very sorry, but the thing is, I don't trust hosting companies. The website I have in mind for hosting is kind of a personal business I have planned (Php scripted, databased, joomla, etc...). Kind of like myspace or youtube. I'm afraid that if I host it on some company, they might crash or something and all of the website's data might be lost. If anything I'd rather do it the way Tom Fulp did. Here is my silly hypothesis of the day, I believe that existence is infinite, and it is beyond (our) creator if he exists, and within his own world/dimension he is limited by rules made by an even greater creator, and this pattern continues forever. But one of the profits of the Light realm sense the on coming danger in the near future. so they to prevent this from happening they released the beast code name A-sa _A.K.A_ (A Shadow Abomination). and lured him to the Realm of the Living and Sealed him inside of a 5 year old boy for 11 Years. With that time the Light's also created a watcher to hold the beast power at bay. I need a script what will have a button on a page what creates a text document file in a specific folder of the web server, And a code generator what randomally generates a code of numbers and letters (about a length of 5 or 6), And the generated code will be the name of the .txt file.
