i know if you just compare sun signs Virgo / Sagittarius have difficulty, but that is only one small aspect of a greater whole. she is Virgo type 2 and i am a Sagittarius type 2 . anyways here is our charts. keep in mind the whole chart and not just sun signs since just making a descion on just sun signs alone tends to not get the whole picture , and is sort of like looking at the world through a pin sized hole. Resolved Question: Best exposure for taking photos of planets?

I want to take pictures of the planets Venus, Mars, and Saturn alignment. I have a decent point and shoot digital camera. There is a setting where you can manually set the shutter speed and aperture. I'm not really sure what setting it should be on. The instructions say the shutter speed can go from 30 to 1/2,000 seconds and the aperture from F3.5 to or F8.0 with the zoom set to the w side. And F4.4 or F10 with the zoom set to the T side. If you have experience with this, help would be appreciated. Thanks. more

Resolved Question: Visit the Planets..is it too dark to See?

Most pictures we have seen of the planets in our solar system are simply computer drawings. Real images of planets past Mars are fuzzy and dark. Certain Nebulae are so dark that we have to combine many photos of the nebula to get a visible image. Basically many nebulae are invisible to our naked eye or they are simply very hard to see If I were to fly to Jupiter or Saturn would I be able to see them with my naked eye or would I fly right into them and not see anything. Would the Great Red Spot rip me to shreds before I saw any red? more

I know that there are a few pictures of nebulae and galaxies that are computer enhanced compositions of the visible and non-visible light spectrum but how about pictures of Jupiter or Saturn and etc? Resolved Question: What is the best telescope I can get?

I am 13 years old. I have been interested in Astronomy since I was 9 or 10 years old. I have been using binoculars to study the night sky on a regular basis for about 6 months now and I want a telescope. A good telescope in the 100$-350$ range. I would prefer that it was a refractor telescope that comes with a steady stand. I usually look at Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, and the Moon. I will occasionally look at stars and nebulae. I would also like to be able to take pictures of the night sky with it. Please give me a link of where to buy it.I no longer want to take pictures with it. I simply want to enjoy the planets and the stars. Keep in mind that I am a 13-year-old, so don't give me a super complicated telescope.It's summer and there has never been an astronomy club at the Jr. High. So don't mention clubs, evem though I wish that I was in one. more

I would like to ask for informations about taking good pictures of planets - I have tried to take pictures of Saturn and of Jupiter, but I have not suceeded taking good close up pictures of these planets , that I can see other amateur astronomers are doing. Resolved Question: Early astrologers didn't use the now known outer planets in forming definitions?

A contact starred a question earlier and then mentioned it on the "astronomy" section. I answered the question in both sections (astrology and astronomy), and some of the other questions here caught my attention. I'm hoping for a serious answer, since most questions seem to involve which sign is prettier or more intelligent. Early astrologers didn't use the now known outer planets in forming definitions, and many of those interpretations were based without knowledge of the influence of the unknown planets. Does astrology still use those same interpretations, or have the meanings been adjusted and amended? For instance, if interpretations about Mars square Jupiter were formed without understanding that the person may have also had Mars in aspect to Saturn, or Jupiter in aspect to Saturn, can the older interpretations be correct? It seems to me that all the interpretations should been redone. Has there been a process by which someone went over many charts in history to see if interpretations for then known planets were correct? I don't see how an ancient Mars conjunct Jupiter interpretation can be correct if those persons also had Mars or Jupiter in aspect to unknown planets, for instance Uranus or Neptune. I CAN see how the new outer planet interpretations would tend to be accurate, since the big picture would contain more data for review. Understand please that my question is if the ancient interpretations defined by then known planets are still used, and can they possibly be accurate? I hope this question will not be taken other than the spirit in which it is asked. In my home country, astrology is accepted by many as truth, so I am familiar with some of the basics.I understand that is how most of my peers think. Resolved Question: How can I print out a photo to frame?

There's this one picture online (photo of Saturn taken by Cassini: 2766 × 1364 resolution) on the NASA website and elsewhere that I would like to get printed out professionally into a photo to frame for my mother's birthday. O.k i made a few pictures of a female samurai, a Shinto priestess, Sailor Pluto, Death (grim reaper) and me just for fun then i had an idea for a manga. Death asks me to go to the past in Japan (feudal Japan maybe? around the 17th century) to take care of some person (kill) so that my life would be perfect or better than it already is. Pluto in her eternal Outfit, doesn't like Death's plan, since he really wants to take over the past and future. ok i walk around wondering where i am, bump into the priestess named Hana Fujo (blossom, the female shaman/ miko Google Translated so yea ><) become friends, walk around looking for the the certain person Death wants dead, i don't tell Hana about Death. k they run into the female samurai named Tsuki Hikari (moon light, right?) the 2 freak out, talk to Tsuki about the mission, she agrees to help, they don't know that she's a female until she tells them, friendship filler, Death and Pluto start to talk to me separately like in 1 scene Death says stuff like "hurry up! times running out!, n Pluto will show up not knowing death was there saying stuff like, don't do it, don't trust him blabla... trio meet up with Pluto as a solid human being, Death appears, grabs Tsuki, he tells them his plans, need kill Tsuki, other 3 girls battle, Tsuki breaks her leg (XD) fight filler, death gets sent to a world by Pluto's father (Chronos isn't it?), Pluto tells death that he'll be replaced by Sailor Saturn, farewells happen, pluto n me go back to the future, nothing had changed, Pluto gives me a small key saying use it wisely or I'll screw up the future. does what she says, meet my friends again, happy end. i like the plot sorta...makes no kind of scince though...i suck at summaries... and want to make and publish the manga and/or post it online, but i think it's to much like InuYasha i added Pluto in it because i usually do it hen i make something about time travel unless its sci-fi manga/novel. more

Voting Question: How do i get better images from my telescope?

Basically i have one of these... http://www.celestron.com/c3/product.php?ProdID=5 I have had success with getting awesome images of the moon, and i take pictures of them by shoving my digital camera down the lens (lol) and can just about (and i mean just about) get jupiter or saturn and mars, however they are like dots, the only reason i know its them is 1.I use planetarium software on laptop as a guide, and 2. When I say 'bad' I don't mean like terrible... but they aren't as crystal clear as some of the images we have of Earth? Probes such as New Horizons have been passed Saturn so why can't they get some good quality snap shots of them on the way past. What is stopping NASA from taking high-quality video or taking pictures of other planets in our solar system? I met up with someone who wanted to sell their 93 saturn sc. Its a 4 cylinder which means great on gas! It's in ok shape body wise but I'm not so sure otherwise. Mechanically its been worked on my different people and the mileage is unknown. When we took it for a drive, it seemed...alright but sort of iffy. On the other hand, I have the opportunity to meet with someone who has a 95 ford thunderbird. She says it runs perfectly but has a front suspension problem (ball joint). Besides that the body looks good in the picture. It is a V8 though, which means it will suck down gas. It does however only have 85000 miles which is great for only $1200 (which is what she wants for it). My gut feeling, although I haven't seen it in person yet, is to get the thunderbird but I can't make up my mind. Any suggestions to which one I should buy? more

One time when I picked up the argument he said that sometimes he thinks I just love arguing with him. I was like "huh?". In reality I feel like I constantly have to defend myself being involved in some battle the purpose and goal of which I do not understand. Then off public he'd write notes to me saying how he is sorry, that he didn't mean to be so brash. One time after another particularly aggressive attack, he brought an item over that was incidentally related to my hobby. He said it was up for grabs in front of several people. I took it of course, but felt like it was some kind of "don't be angry at me, oh and this is not a gift" gift. I've also noted a weird trend of him bringing up activities I am interested in in a conversation and asserting his own interest in the same thing. For example, suddenly I find out that he watches aerial skiing too. Somehow he knows I listen to a relatively unknown band that I never told him or any of his acquaintances about. He read all of its lyrics and quoted them back to me. I am not sure if this is also his weird way of making up, demonstrating that we have similar interests. But after apologies he goes back to saying the same hurtful things, so now I am really doubting his sincerity. I typically try to counter him diplomatically without being mean, use cool logic and try not to incite any further emotions in him. 98% of time I find having to restrain myself, but a few times I gave in and hurt him back. Last time I did it back to him in public he disappeared for a week, then came back and then tried attacking the project he thought I really invested my heart and mind into. But missed, so all he got was yet another nice diplomatic response. Meanwhile I assessed what I had done and I felt guilty for being so cruel to him that time. Resolved Question: When a planet "transits" a house in natal chart..how can look to see which areas of life are MOST affected?

what is the technique here? please explain and describe best you can if have a , as an example, Saturn transiting 10th house...and trining Jupiter on cusp of 6th-7th house..while Sextiling Ascendant...how would you go about interpreting the AREAS of life most affected by this particular transit? would you place more priority on Saturn transiting the 10th house (therefore 10th house area of life)..Jupiter on cusp of 7th (areas concerned with Descendant) ..Ascendant..house being ruled by Saturn, house being ruled by Jupiter, or house ruler of Rising sign and all the planets aspected to it? if this one,,which planets aspecting the house ruler would be most involved and would THEIR areas of chart be affected or part of the picture? how can you place priority in interpreting a time period for a transit? please explain thanks for your answers! more

Resolved Question: I have a 1997 Saturn SL2 5-speed. When I put it in gear it won't move. More details in section below.?

I was making a left hand turn and kind of clutched hard into first gear to beat out the traffic coming up the road. In the middle of the turn the car stopped accelerating and the engine would only just rev while in gear. I was later able to check the shift linkage when somebody came to pick me up (I originally thought the linkage between either the clutch or the shifter had broken. However, upon inspection, the shifter linkage seem to be moving properly as it was moved through the different gears. When the car is parked, if the car is put into first gear and the clutch is let out, the car just idles, when it should stall without pressing the accelerator. I personally the the the clutch is shot, but I swear I heard something go underneath the car and smack the underside toward the back when this happened. As always, any advice is greatly appreciated as I am out of ride until I can properly get it fixed. Thanks Can provide pictures if needed, but the car is not home, so it will take a while to get back to the car to take pictures.@mike I did try other gears including reverse, same result. Prior to this, the tranny had been making a little bit of noise when the clutch was engaged, but went away when I pushed in on the clutch pedal (effectively disengaging it from the engine). I really noticed nothing major prior to this, to predict it was going to happen.Upon further examining the vehicle, I noticed that when I put the car in gear, the speedometer went up to ~12mph. After looking under the hood at the drive axles, I noticed one of them spinning. Seems I sheered it in half, the car is fixed now. more
