Resolved Question: Can the race of a person (i.e black, white, asian etc) be identified by blood or other bodily fluids/tissues?
If a scientist were to have only blood or tissue (not skin) or some other organ or piece of the body, are there any tests that could be done to identify the race of the person? Is this even feasible? If so, what kind of tests would need to be performed? moreResolved Question: How do you kill a fish?
I am asking this because I had caught a bluegill fishing and he swallowed my hook. Well... what I mean is that there was only a small piece of my lure in view in the fish's mouth (and it was a very small hook.) After about 5 minutes I got the hook out but I think I tore one of his organs. After that, I was pretty sure he was suffering so I just wanted to put him out of his misery and just kill him swiftly with my fillet knife. but didn't know how. And BTW: The poor bluegill is now in heaven after being eaten by some dark figure in the water after he made a break for it. (I believe it was a bass.) moreResolved Question: What causes foul smelling male reproductive organs?
My boyfriend's penis smells terrible. I know for a fact, he doesn't have any STDs, but maybe his medication causes it to smell the way it does. He seems to wash well down there and though he is not circumsized, he is hygenic. Sometimes, he has pieces of kleenex stuck to his foreskin but he picks it off. I don't even want to put my face anywhere near there, but I'd like to smell decent after coitus. What is causing the foul smell in his semen? moreResolved Question: What are the side effects of replacing one's vital organs with Reese's Pieces?

I mean sliced instantly by some insanely powerful and fast laser from the middle on the top of your head down to your sexual organ. So that there would be 2 pretty much identical pieces. Now I know you'd be dead almost right away but the 2 pieces would still have some blood flowing thru them for a moment and I heard that the two brain sides are quite independent and I even read about some stories of people living with only half of their brain (although don't know if that's true). But in any case, what I am wondering is, for that instant (maybe even a couple seconds) would your concsioussness divide into 2? Almost like there is now 2 human beings (even if for an instant). What do you people think? moreResolved Question: I Need Classical Suggestions?

Okay so to be honest, I am starting to get annoyed and worried about all these food recalls that have been happening lately. I know they have happened in the past...(Menu Foods), but I didn't think it would start to affect some of the dog food brands that I have fed my dogs in the past. Two that have been posted on here and that I have become aware of are Nature's Variety and Merrick. However, I am not sure if it is the dry food or the canned, or both...I am going to believe it would be the canned food, but anyways... I want to know more about feeding raw. I however, don't know if I am committed to going FULLY raw. A breeder that I know who breeds champion Dogue de Bordeaux's and Neapolitan Mastiffs feeds her dogs TOTW dog food, I believe the Pacific Stream as it has a lower protein amount, and raw. Can you feed a high quality kibble but incorporate raw food as well? If so, what raw meats can I look at purchasing. Would it be worthwhile for me to buy a box of frozen chicken breasts, and other meats like pork and ground beef? Or should I look at trying to locate a local butcher who can provide me with all the end cuts and left over pieces of meat as well as any organ meat? (I don't have a local butcher, but I am sure I could be in contact with one). I know feeding raw with kibble kind of defeats the whole purpose of getting away from commercialized dog food, and defeats my "I don't feel safe feeding this food", but I feel that feeding kibble WITH raw would help stretch out my food, and help me to not have to purchase so much meat. Or is feeding raw and kibble not recommended at all? Is it unsafe? Also...if someone could show me one of their dog's 'daily menus'. What in a typical day would your dog normally get to eat? As well...any sources of information..books I can look up, websites, etc would also be helpful in steering me in the right direction! Sorry for the long question...hope some of this made sense...thanks to all who answer with knowledge about this topic.Add: I didn't mention but I currently feed TOTW High Prairie formula.*HUGE SIGH* People who know NOTHING about raw feeding, even LESS than I do lol, DO NOT answer this question!!!! moreResolved Question: Creationists Why is your god so lacking in imagination ?
you believe he created humans as a distinct creature special and in the image of himself but we share the same basic organs muscles and skeleton as most other animals especially the mammals and primates. Why would such a wonderful powerful all knowing god reuse so many bits and pieces from "lower" animals to make his perfect man and woman ? It just does not make sense ! moreVoting Question: LGBT folks: A question thats a matter of life and death:?
I assume you've heard of the Islamic SHARIA LAW. This is the law that governs anyone who professes the religion "of peace", Islam. My question is this: How many of you advocate or promote the idea of Sharia Law in America?? The reason I ask is because so many liberals and left-wingers side with muslims, some because they think that by appeasing them they won't get their neighborhoods blown up or thrown into a riot, and some because they think that whatever the ACLU does surely must be the right thing to do, and social justice has a strangle-hold on America right now, just as political correctness does. Unfortunately, both appeasing radical muslims AND political correctness will end up getting us all killed; but I digress: As gays, bisexuals, transgenders, etc, what do you think the end-result would be if we were to allow sharia law in America. Think its not possible? A judge in New Jersey just heard a case of a vicious rape of a muslim woman by her husband. The Judge decided that because the husband was Islamic and is governed by Sharia Law where he comes from, he has every right to force his wife to have sex with him, quote, "even if its on the hump of a camel". She must sacrifice herself to sexual intercourse and whatever else he desires (sexually) regardless of her state of mind, her physical condition, or any circumstance. In short, she is a total and absolute sexual slave, period. So think again if you believe groups like the ACLU are looking out for any person's best interest in America. Why should YOU care about this? Well, because Sharia Law says much, much more than just to subject women to a life worse than any dog in america: Sharia ALSO HAS SOME NICE PLANS FOR YOU FOLKS, LIKE THESE: Are you a lesbian? You will be stripped, buried to your waist, head covered with a white sheet, and then stoned to death. Your own family MUST participate in the stoning, including any children you might have from age 3 and up. Takes all the fun out of "getting stoned", ya know?? Are you a gay man? Oh goodie: you will be stripped and hanged by the neck until dead, not for stealing or for murder, but only for your sexual preferences. "Hang 'em High" isn't just a movie title anymore. Are you safe because you are bisexual or transgendered? Hardly. Men will still be hung and women will still be stoned, but the only difference is that you will be humiliated by gang-rape before-hand. Think of it as a going-away orgy of sorts. If you ever listened to one piece of common sense in your whole life, PLEASE, TO MY FRIENDS ON THE LEFT, listen to this: We have a huge problem right now in America that extends far beyond the economy or our differences in whats moral: the truth is that we have muslim and other groups in America who hate this Country and want to bring us DOWN. Groups like ISNA, CAIR and others are unindicted co-conspirators in funding of HAMAS AND HEZBOLLAH. These muslim groups are here in America to divide us and turn us into an Islamic Nation. They are working our own laws and freedoms/rights against us ALL. Do not think that they will somehow be on your side because they HATE YOU MOST OF ALL: YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO ALLAH. Do you honestly think that abortion clinics will still be operating? There WON'T BE ANY ABORTIONS, AT ALL....NOT EVEN FOR RAPE OR INCEST. And you feminists out there: Do you honestly think you will be making demand after demand? You'll be lucky if you're allowed to speak AT ALL. You will be treated like a vaginaa because thats all they believe that you are: a walking sexual organ. You whine and complain about being equal with men, but you'll be lucky if you're equal to a dog if not lower. The only reason muslim women in America don't experience these things IS BECAUSE THEY LIVE IN AMERICA., but if America is gone, so are all the rights and freedoms we have. Let a feminist speak and her tongue will be cut out of her mouth. Even with our laws in America we still have over 200 BEHEADINGS OF MUSLIM WOMEN IN THE PAST 22 MONTHS BY MUSLIM HUSBANDS, oh...i correct myself - one was run over by her muslim husband in the car, over and over again until she bled to death on the street. STOP ALLOWING GROUPS LIKE THE ACLU TO CATER TO THESE MUSLIM GROUPS. STOP ALLOWING PEOPLE TO GET VOTED INTO OFFICE WHEN THEY ARE ADVOCATES OF SHARIA LAW!! ELENA KAGAN IS AN ADVOCATE OF IT AND NOW WE HAVE HER ON THE SUPREME COURT FOR GODS SAKE. WAKE UP PEOPLE. So again, my question is this: how many of you promote or advocate muslim groups who follow Sharia Law??? If you do, as an LGBT, WHY do you??EDIT: FIRST, THANKS TO ALL WHO ANSWERED. Second, it may be alot to read, but its important for my gay friends to understand that when you go along with those who advocate and appease and brown-nose, quite frankly - supporters of Islamic Sharia Law (AND YES KAGAN IS AN ADVOCATE OF IT), then you are literally shooting yourselves in the foot and making for dangerous circumstances. DO NOT THINK that because you have a large gay lobby that you would be immune when some of these crazy far-left ideals come to reality. Time to think about it with some common sense, or just pretend life is all rosey and fine......your choice. moreResolved Question: Does anyone know what piece of music this is?
Although I am a lover of classical music, I truly have not been able to find what piece this is. It is a piece sung by a boy choir accompanied by an organ and it most likely seems to be in an European language. The link for it is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUUeIXmFia8&fmt=18 . If you could please help me with this inquiry I will be very grateful, thank you. moreResolved Question: Pharm. D, can anyone proof-read my admissions essay for Pharmacy school?
I distinctly remember my work on an assignment for an eighth grade science class as having a profound influence on my decision to pursue pharmaceutical studies. The assignment required us to peruse a number of medical professions listed in our class textbook, and to choose one that interested us. As I sat there, flipping through the pages of my textbook half-heartedly, trying to choose a career that would more satisfy the requirements of the assignment than truly spark any personal career interests, I came across a section on the field of pharmacy. Several pieces of information presented in the section immediately caught my attention. The principle goal of pharmaceutical care is to achieve positive outcomes from the use of medication that improves patients’ quality of life. Additionally though, the informational section claimed that aspiring pharmacists needed to be strong in math and science, both areas in that arise my interest. And so, while not expecting any sincere career interests to come about as a result of this simple homework assignment, this unforeseen coalescence of my interests and abilities made me genuinely excited about the prospects of pursuing a career in pharmacy. Currently, I am a junior in college, and embody the same excitements and reservations about working in the pharmaceutical industry. I believe that Pharmacists are the key players in the future of healthcare because they have greater expertise in medicines than any other health profession. For almost four years I have been working as a pharmacy technician at Walgreens, which has been instrumental in preparing me for the practical application of pharmaceutical knowledge. At Walgreens pharmacy we view ourselves as a team because we are all committed to a common purpose of ensuring help to our costumers and I want to join with others who desire the same profession to help make a difference in our future. Working as a Pharmacist Technician was not the only experience I possess, I also volunteer at Barnes Jewish hospital and am the vice president of both the biology and pre-pharmacy clubs. I have always been the type of person who enjoys learning and is never tired to gasp at discovering new things that evoke my wonder and admiration. In the pre-pharmacy courses I took to get ready for the Pharm. D program, I was ecstatic about organic chemistry, although it was the most challenging subject that kept me in the library constantly, learning about various mechanisms and the various ways to drawl chemical structures, it brought forth curiosity. Furthermore, I was enthralled with anatomy and found myself absorbed by all the remarkable factssuch as, the names of bones and muscles, systems and processes, glands and organs, abnormalities and diseases. These subjects, in addition to the other courses I took left me eager to learn more, and antsy to join other students who embody the same dreams. Just like Abraham Lincoln once said, “Determine that the thing can and shall be done, and then we shall find the way,” I too am determined to accomplish my deepest goals. I possess self-motivation, to me anything is achievable with hard work, and I know that I have the commitment, enthusiasm, and motivation that are required to see the realization my deepest aspirations. I am more than ready to take the next step towards that goal: taking the classes necessary for pharmaceutical accreditation at a challenging and respectable collegiate institution. moreResolved Question: Why is it considered selfish that when I die I don't want my body mutilated by organ donation?
Why is so selfish to believe that death is natural and maybe the person that needs an extra organ that it is there time to pass as well then to have my corpse cut into pieces and given away to other people that I do not know and do not like or care about. I would only donate my organs to my children or grandchildren. Why do people see mutilating the dead as a good thing? What ever happened to respecting the dead and allowing them to rest in peace? When I grow older I plan to die at home and after my body has been sitting for several hours my family can bring me to the morgue. No I do not believe in organ transplant to extend my life. Yeah I take medication because I know it messes up your kidneys and livers. No reason to feel like $hit when you can posion your liver and kidneys. moreResolved Question: For dog owners who feed Prey Model Raw?
So, I have just recently(literally today) put my two dogs on this food. They are very happy as far as I can tell. I just have a few questions. How do you measure your food? We have no way of measuring, so I kind of guestimated the amount to give them. I gave them a little more if they looked hungry(looking for food), but now they seem content. I'll have a scale by Monday(maybe even tomorrow, after the morning). Do you have any good tricks as to how to get the meat/bone/organs at least closely to the amount? I have a whole chicken and I fed our chihuahua a chicken wing, couple small cuts of beef(only enough to fit in the palm of my hand), and a small, palm-sized piece of liver(we don't have any other organs for now - getting some tomorrow). My wolf mix(weighs 73lbs, overweight) got larger bits of beef, a little bit of chicken meat and bone, and a larger piece of liver(about the size of a small/medium sized fist). Tomorrow in the morning, they are getting one pig's foot(the chihuahua's is only a small piece), the same amount of liver, and probably chicken meat. Do you think I should also feed some beef? Like I said, I'll get a scale soon, this is just an estimation. I'll be able to give them the proper amount tomorrow for dinner, or Monay for dinner. The wolf mix gets 22.4 ounces a day, 11ounces per meal. The chihuahua gets 3.64 ounces a day, 2 ounces per meal.@Lily: They are only dangerous when cooked. That's the only reason they splinter.@Lily: They are only dangerous when cooked. That's the only reason they splinter.@Cuddles: That's great that I could make you laugh. At least my dogs who are chewing on raw bones won't have stinky breath from that crappy canned food. And your canned food probably has more salmanella in it that one slice of this meat. @Everyone who was helpful: Thank you :) And I will be buying a scale VERY soon. I have more beef than chicken, but I guess I'll have to buy another one because it's not gonna last three weeks XD Again, thanks for the help :) moreResolved Question: How is my story and what should happen next?
Chapter 1 (Creation) In the beginning there was naught but darkness but then the supreme Lord emerged forth with his angels and by his power from out the darkness he created light. He took the light and molded it into a sphere called "Zan" and then he created a bowl and positioned it within the sphere. We call this bowl "Rifigtus" The bottom of Rifigtus was just sand and the sides of Rifigtus were jade and lo there was no water for sustenance of life so the supreme God pressed his finger and plunged it through the sand at the bottom of Rifigtus forming a pit and out of that pit came water. 700 years passed before Rifigtus became half full with water and when it did the supreme God plucked a hair from his head and inserted it into the pit blocking off the water. Now this ocean which filled Rifigtus was called "Donwaie" Then the supreme God took mud from the bottom of the sea in his two hands and blew upon them causing them to solidify and it became soil and he placed these pieces of soil upon the surface of Donwaie and ordered 70,000 angels each to hold them up to prevent them from falling into Donwaie. But in the process of placing the two Islands upon the surface of Donwaie a piece fell off into Donwaie and so the supreme Lord sent the Archangel Yineean to retreive the Island and carry it back to the surface which took 200 years and when Yineean emerged from out of Donwaie the supreme Lord then sent 70,000 angels to carry this Island to prevent it from once again falling into the waters of Donwaie Yineean then returned to the Lord and stood next to his throne chanting constantly praises of his Lord and asked him "Lord what shall the names of these Islands be ?" and the supreme Lord replied "The name of the first which fell upon Donwaie shall be called "Tinsya" and the second that fell shall be called "Gitnsa" and the third shall be called "Regini" meaning "Immersed in Water" for that Island was immersed in the waters of Donwaie. Chapter Two (Tinceraus and Vicifera) Vegetation then began to grow on the face of the Regini and this vegetation spoke and it's pain and pleasure was manifest and the supreme Lord willed that the vegetation grow legas and arms and all the organs of the human body and after a period 77 days the first man Tincearaus evolved fully and seeing that he needed a mate he caused that on the Island of Tinsya a blade of grass grow to the size of a woman and develop the features of one and after a period 77 days Vicifera the first woman came into being. moreResolved Question: Is it okay to swallow sugar cane?
I bought sugarcane today and I am wondering if it ok to swallow the wood. Not a giant piece, but like a splinter of it. I think i cut it right and i was chewing on it, and I may have swallowed a small particle and is this bad? If it is, why? What will happen? I know if you swallow wood, it can puncture an organ, but is this the same thing? moreResolved Question: do you believe there is a life force connecting us to everything else thats anywhere?
have you ever thought of what the subconscious mind truly is ? how its just.. oblivious, but at the same time controls everything we do from the shadows, and knows us better than we in our "awoken" state think we do. or maybe it is out present state that is truly oblivious.. yeah, but i got to thinking, that it wasnt simply a collection of all our past experiences, that is was also .. oh damn, this i so hard to explain. ... i believe there is force that combines everything together. that ever single piece of everything has a life, like a universal life line.. and the universe as a whole is one gigantic living organism. and every galaxy is like one of the organs. and i think that the "mind"of the universe is simply subconscious. like that of a plant. so if an entire race of life was to be destroyed, it would be like this organism would get a small wound, and of course even the smallest paper cuts piss us off. so it may cause a slight imbalance in the "nerves" of this subconscious being. i have a really hard time formulating sentences out of my thoughts. im not sure if you can comprehend this the way i see it in my head. but do you believe as insignificant as the human race may seem in this never ending expansion of the universe, there is a life force connecting us to everything else thats anywhere?but god is supposed to be this completely conscious force that we can communicate to by simply speaking. im literally thinking of more like an energy force... well, god? hmm... i guess there could be one. moreResolved Question: Can I sub boneless chicken breasts in a recipe that calls for a whole chicken?
If so how do I do it? This is the recipe that I'm making Thai Lime Roast Chicken Ingredients: •SERVES 4 + (Depending on the size of Your Chicken) •1 medium (approx. 4 lbs, or 2 kg.) whole chicken (thawed if using frozen) •LIME MARINADE/SAUCE: •1/2 cup lime juice •1/4 cup rice vinegar, OR substitute regular white or apple cider vinegar •1/3 cup fish sauce (available in tall bottles at Asian/Chinese food stores) •1/2 cup loosely packed brown sugar •7-8 cloves garlic, minced, OR 1 Tbsp. bottled pureed garlic •1-2 fresh red chilies, minced, OR 1 tsp. dried cayenne pepper (omit for a very mild lime sauce) •To Serve: •3 sliced spring onions (scallions) •optional: lime wedges Preparation: 1.Preheat oven to 325 degrees 2.Open the cavity of the chicken and discard any inner organs (or reserve them for making chicken stock, as desired). Rinse the chicken and pat dry. Place in a deep roasting pan or casserole dish, one that has a lid high enough that it won't touch the top of the chicken. 3.Place marinade/sauce ingredients in a sauce pan and stir over medium-high heat until it reaches a light boil and sugar dissolves. Reduce to minimum, stirring occasionally for several minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly. 4.Remove from heat. Pour 1/3 of this sauce over the chicken. Thoroughly coat the chicken with the sauce by spooning it over (you can also use your hands if the sauce has cooled enough). Cover the remaining sauce for use later. 5.Now add 1/4 cup water to the bottom of the roasting pan. Cover and place chicken in preheated oven. 6.Allow to slow roast for 1 hour, then remove from oven. Use a ladle to spoon juices from the bottom of the pan over the chicken. Return to the oven for 1 more hour. 7.Remove from oven and spoon 2-3 more Tbsp. of the lime marinade/sauce you reserved earlier over chicken. There should be adequate moisture (juices) in the bottom of the roasting pan - if not, add 1/4 cup water. Tip: the sauce may have become thick by this time (almost like syrup) - this is fine. It will "melt" when it touches the hot flesh of the chicken. 8.Uncover chicken and increase heat to 375 to 400 degrees (gas mark 5-6). Return chicken (uncovered) to roast another 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until skin has turned golden-brown and the chicken is well done (if your chicken is larger than 4 lbs, it may require a little longer). Check on it occasionally to ensure it isn't over-browning. 9.Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly. Meanwhile, using a ladle, scoop out 1/3 cup of the juices from the bottom of the roasting pan and add to the reserved lime sauce. Place over medium heat, stirring occasionally until sauce is warm. 10.Taste-test the lime sauce, adding a little more sugar, if desired, or a little more fish sauce if not salty enough. Add more fresh minced chili or cayenne pepper if more spice is desired. 11.There are several ways to serve this dish. First, you can place the whole chicken on a platter (Thanksgiving style), and either pour the sauce over, or serve it on the side (instead of gravy). OR, place chicken on a chopping board, and chop it into pieces (as shown). Place the pieces on a serving platter. Pour sauce over, then top with sliced spring onions. I had my gallbladder out 5 days ago the suppose to be easy way and I am having lots of pain and am so worried. I have called the doc 2 times already, they wont give me an appointment to come in sooner and they keep telling me its normal to feel like this. I am just on here trying to see if anyone has felt this way after gallbladder surgery? I have been all over the net and there are only negative things there and its making me so depressed. I am having pain on my right side of tummy, on the right side itself and around to the back. Grant it is not as bad as an gallbladder attack its still pretty bad. It feels like a stabbing and sometimes like a pulling pain. It used to be only when I moved (trying to get get up or sit down) but now it does it even when I am not moving. I am taking pain medication but it does not help much, It feels like someone is there is pulling on my organ like weighing it down or something. Please anyone ever had this when they had theres out? I do feel better with each passing day so thats a plus but everyone made this sound like a piece of cake but its not for me. One more thing, I have been sitting so much not trying to be funny but my butt hurts, it feels like its kind of raw or something and starts burning so bad that I have to move to make it stop, on the cheeks part. Anyone have that and if so what did you do to help it? I could barley sleep last night. Thanks so much!No I did not have any tubes, I had 2 stones and sludge in the gallbladder. I had 2 extreme attacks 1 year apart and several mini ones but did not know it was my gallbladder. Thanks for the answers.Oh and I am 28 years old.I tried to go on the site you provided however there it only shows me options for buying pain medication. this is the third time ive put his up cuz people didn't answer my other ones and i know the longer its up there the less people will answer. so whenever i write and post if this good, i seem to get lots of issues with readers about my dialogue. please tell me how to improve. i don't care if you're supposed to write for yourself, if you're going to write and print it for people to read. you gotta care about the readers. if you're writing for yourself, why not just keep it in your head instead. here's part of my piece. the plot is more interesting later. also the reason the way of speaking is kinda weird is that i want the english to be kinda old fahioned but i want the speaker to be speaking casually. What a bothersome task. Having to find things good enough for his taste is really troubling. Long travels and everything. "So, what do you want this time?" "Oh. I don't care, it's my mother that wants me to get married so badly, and you know it. I haven’t met a single girl who wishes to learn things enough to be decently intelligent. I'll have smart and pretty maybe someone dark-haired this time. That beaver-toothed blondie still chills me quite a bit.” Oh great, this one’s fast and I get my friend here. “Oh, Luka, you chose the wrong regulations. I can have this girl here in less than a day.” He raised an eyebrow. “She doesn’t already have a mate?” I shook my head. “And she’ll come willingly?” I shuddered at the idea of what would happen to me if I finished this task. “Well………..” “Audun! I charged toward him and squeezed the life out of him. “El, my waist is hugging my internal organs.” he pointed toward the area of my hug. I let go, “Sorry. But where in the world have you been these last weeks?!” “Oh, here, there.” he answered I glared at him until he began to become uncomfortable. “At the castle?” i asked “Uh. Maybe.” he replied. Again. What business does he have there anyway? How irritating it is that he won’t tell me. “And what were you doing there?” “Shall I show you?” I looked at him with an why-are-you-letting-me-now stare. “Well, um, you’ll see when we get there. Larissa, we’ll be leaving for a while, I told you about it?” Audun shouted to Larissa. Larissa, the tavern owner, nodded then went back to warning the new dishwasher about breaking dishes. At the mention of her, I remembered I was supposed to be serving guests, not talking to my best friend. I was stuck between finding out about Audun’s mysterious job and doing my job. My loyalty to Larissa won over. Maybe all the customers crowding around me yelling for ale helped with that. “Audun, I have to get back to work. Show me later.” “Sorry Els, you have to come with me now.” He waved his forearm and a group of palace guards came out. They grabbed my arms and bound my hands. I launched a kick a one of them. It hit him in the sensitives. He made an odd noise and curled up in a sort of protective turtle form. I struggled to get free from my holder, but his grip was like stone. I started screaming, then my noise was muffled as he stuffed a rag in my mouth. He flipped me onto his broad shoulder, signaled to his companions and strode out the tavern with me squirming, and kicking furiously against his back. When we reached the horses tied out outside, a different guard muttered something about how the feisty girlies were always so annoying, reached into his pants pocket, pulled out a wet hankerchief, and shoved it at my nose. It smelled odd. I felt my head droop. Black fog started clouding my vision. My last thought was that Audun was going to get murdered when i wake up. moreResolved Question: Can u pls give me some tips for feeding a raw diet?
I'm currently feeding my boys (American Pit Bull Terrier and a Yorkie mix) Blue Buffalo but I want to start adding raw food to their diet. I've asked this question before and I've followed some of the suggestions but they both ended up having really bad diarrhea(I was told it they got bones and organs id avoid this, but it happened anyways with the bones and organs) can I please have some more advice on feeding them raw food? I started with chicken and they both really enjoyed it. The problem is the Pit didn't fully chew the bones so he'd end up pooping out whole chunks of bones or throwing up whole pieces of bones. If I subtracted the bones from the diet would it matter? I would also feed them brown rice vegetables and raw chicken everyother day. BTW: they always get the rice and vege mixture in their food, id just subtract the bb dry and give the rice and chickedn mixture moreResolved Question: Thinking about the raw food diet... What else do I need to know?
After reading about the raw food diet and looking into it more, I think I'm going to talk to my grandparents. So far, I know that you need meat, bones, and organs. I also know that they have to be given to in a certain amount of each. I also know that asking a vet wouldn't matter, since they don't study nutrition much in college. I have two dogs. A 70lbs wolf mix, and a less than 5lbs chihuahua, and I plan on feeding them both the raw food diet. I already know that they eat raw food anyways, because I've seen them eating a rabbit, a rat, and a bird that my wolf mix killed. I feed them both Blue Buffalo right now, and I know that that is a good dog food, but I think a more natural diet would be better. I've read reviews, and seen that people have seen improvement in their dog's energy and overall health. I just want to know every piece of information I possibly can, so I can present my grandparents with the facts. Also, Blue Buffalo is about $45 for a large bag. The bags last about, eh, a month and a half, give or take. How much would the raw diet cost us monthly? Basically, the dog food is, like, $100 a month.I just read that online book, and now I am definitely getting my grandparents to get it. I cannot believe how in danger my dogs are. I didn't even know they could live well into their 20's! No doubt in my mind: I'm switching to raw food for our dogs. moreVoting Question: How gross is your Driver's Ed class... do they make you watch gory videos?
In mine they keep showing all these people beaten up by car accidents. They show flabs of skin hanging off the doors, blood and guts lying across the ground, like people's stomachs and other organs, and people with pieces of their bodies missing. Like there was one guy with a big chunk taken out of his face. He looked like Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight, and another with a chunk taken out of his chest. I am getting tired of this and I am finding it too disturbing to handle anymore. moreResolved Question: Can you help me analyze the Mansell masterpiece?
The class assignment is to choose a composition with an ostinato bass and analyze it in terms of form, harmony, and counterpoint. Everyone else is doing either the Bach organ passacaglia or Dido's aria, and I want to do something different. I selected Mansell's Requiem for a Dream: http://miserableatbest.blogspot.com/2010/01/lux-aeterna-from-requiem-for-dream.html Form: The composition is clearly a theme and variations, with the variations beginning on measures 5, 9, 13, 17, 21, 25, 27, 31, and a coda on measure 35. With each variation ending on the dominant, this is clearly a case of continuous variations as opposed to sectional variations. In the variations beginning at measures 17, 21. and 31, Mansell works a subtle twist on tradition by varying the ostinato but leaving the treble voice the same. With the variations inserted at measures 25 and 27, we see somewhat of an AABA structure. On pages 105-109 of Form in Tonal Music, Douglass M. Green discusses ways in which a composer could arrange the sections in a series of variations. He lists rhythmic crescendo, grouping, logical scheme, increasing complexity, and contrast. The best of these choices would be either rhythmic crescendo or increasing complexity. Harmony: What impresses me about the piece is the composer's marvellous use of the submediant chord and the second inversion of the tonic. Counterpoint: Notice the contrary motion between the bass and the treble. Also, notice the extra ostinato added as a third voice in the theme and the second variation. Never since the Baroque Era have we seen such exquisite contrapuntal craftsmanship. I hope that the professor will be impressed not only with my analysis, but with my choice of such an excellent musical composition. Is there anything else you can add? moreResolved Question: can ya help me remember this movie?

Hi I am from India. My sister got married in 2008. In between she got pregnant first time in november 2008 and at that time she heard a shocking news and the next day the baby was aborted which was three weeks old. Second time she was pregnant in 2009 which was four weeks old and at that time she had a severe stomach pain. So we went to a nearby doctor she scanned the baby using an scanner device through the her organ and said there is a chance that baby is trying to come out. Again the next day the small piece in a kidney shape came out in toilet. At this time she had a general checkup where doctor said she dont have any problems with uterus. Next in last year she had a cyst in her vagina which was operated and then she was feeling well. Till yesterday she was around 10 weeks pregnant. While taking bath yesterday she fell down in bathroom. Since she was pregnant we took her to hospital and the doctor said baby stopped growing in eight weeks and there is no heart beat. That is, there no growth after eight weeks where actually it is ten week now. So they asked her to abort this. Really she is mentally depressed and we do not know where is the problem. Kindly let us know where could be the problem and what would be wrong. What kind of tests to performed? Is there any chance of infertility. A fellow church organist and I are considering doing a "Halloween Concert" on the pipe organ and piano to raise money to restore the Steinway Piano at our church. We're looking for some fun suggestions for Halloween appropriate pieces. Doesn't absolutely have to be classical. (Nothing too too crazy difficult though - we'll have to learn all these in addition to the mountains of music we learn for church each week! LOL) We're both fairly proficient players. Hey all, my girlfriend and I (yes are are lesbians) are having some problems. I don’t want to make this into a novel so I will try and keep this as short as possible. Recently, she has been going through hell. She even had to switch out of school because it was so unhealthy for her. Her former friend had started doing pot, and when my girlfriend found out she tried to get her friend to stop. And it didn’t work. Said friend decided to stalk her on the internet (with minions) and torment the hell out of her on formspring, facebook, and other places. In school, too. With their whispering, their lies…I did what I could to keep her from falling apart. I could only do so much. When things took a turn for the worst, she had to be hospitalized. I visited her when I could; called her when I could despite her father's gaze burning holes into my back. Anywho, she was in a program for a while to finish up school work and stuff and another program which was therapy. She has always been a depressed person, much like me, so I can understand how hard it is. When we first got together, I was going through tough moments too. I tried to…off myself several times and she stopped me. She healed me. She saved me. At that time, we also had a lot in common. Yet, that was a few years ago. Now…not so much. She doesn’t really pursue her interests as much as before, the mutual ones we had and others. I know what depression does to you. It sucks up all of your energy no matter how much sleep you have gotten and it robs you of all motivation to do anything except feel miserable. Even so, no matter how depressed I am I always hold onto the things that inspire me. They keep me alive. Still, even knowing this I feel that we no longer have anything in common (and have for a while). We did in the beginning but at this point things have been a little…iffy. We used to love writing together, watching the l word & south of nowhere, listening to metal bands…stuff like that. I love her so much, more than anything and I know she loves me. I realize what we have is rare, special and these minor missing pieces still eat away at my very core. I have tried to tell her about the lack of interests and fun we used to have which cause her to freak out and blame it on the depression. I have tried to get her to watch movies that we both used to like sit still. I get it, I totally get it. Depression fucks with you and your head and who you are. I know I should be a better girlfriend and make some sort of attempt to ignore these things that bother me because obviously she doesn’t anything else to feel guilty about. That, and her father literally hates me; he suspects I am using her because of my own depression, but only thinks so because he does not know me. Know what we are about. He always always makes assumptions. So, what do I do? How do I bring this up without her falling to pieces? She is rather fragile right now and I have no desire to undo all of her current progress with these stupid insecurities. It is just that I have never had this problem before with…any of my girlfriends in the past and I can only do so much. I’m thinking we may need time apart so she can heal without my emotional baggage weighing her down and yet I fear my absence will do more harm than good. Once…she told me I was the closest person she ever had in her life. I told her that I could relate because I felt the same about her. I still do. My girlfriend has been with my through hell and back which makes me hate myself for thinking this way. I can’t help it. I love her so much; I have been in love with her ever since we first met and now this. Its killing me big time. Organ by organ. Any advice…any advice at all will help. Sorry for the novel, I know I promised that I wouldn’t write one but all of this sort of just wrote itself :P moreResolved Question: help... some problems off my homeowrork that i couldnt understand..?

I have a very poor relationship with my mother. Lately she hasn't been in good health, and from what I hear from my sisters, she's planning to move to a retirement village or assisted living. Growing up, when things were slightly better, a few items were promised to me by my parents, and they told me they were in the will. One of them was a reed organ, and they were storing it in the garage and it was deteriorating. I demanded several years ago that they give it to me now if it means so little to them. They brought it to me, I have since restored it, and I treasure it. When I was a teen, I restored a Franklin stove that we used to heat the add-on family room, that I know is now in the garage rusting again, but is also supposed to come to me because of my connection to it. Finally, also when I was a teen, my mother and I went to an estate auction and she bought a piece of fine art by Max Karp. This was the last thing to which I had a connection, and she said it would be willed to me, and there's a sticker on the back saying so. Coming back to present day, and being on the outs, I'm afraid that as my sisters pack up her house, they will have a garage sale and despite what might have my name on it, since I'm not helping and not contributing to the care and feeding of mother, they will get rid of it. For someone, it will be one of those awesome bargains because I don't think they have any idea what it is. We bought it for $300, if I recall, but looking around on the net equivalent Max Karp pieces are going for $7,500 and up! And I don't want to warn them about the value, because they will try to claim it for themselves, or convince mom not to give it to me because of the way things are now. Since my father died a couple of years ago, I have no reason to see the woman, and it's unlikely I will ever again. The piece reminds me of better days, which is why it's important to me. Not because of its value. The same with the organ, and I kind of feel the same about the stove (but it's big, heavy, and not that pretty). There was a time we got along and we had fun at the auction. So the question is, how can I get it now without them getting rid of it out of spite not knowing what it is, and without betraying its value? moreResolved Question: How can I sand very small wood details?
I'm trying to sand down a very old organ. Although it has been fairly easy to sand the larger pieces, there is a good deal of intricate woodwork that is too small to get sandpaper into. Particularly difficult are a series of very small rings that look a little like this: / \ | | | | \ / How can I sand the inside of those rings? I've tried just sticking the sandpaper on in there, but when I do that I can't apply the needed pressure. Thanks! moreVoting Question: which synthesizer should i buy?
I have 6 synthesizers: A Korg Z1, a Yamaha EX7, a Virus Rack, an E-mu organ simulator rack, a Novation A-Station, a Kurzweil K2000 rack. Considering my budget I have almost everything I need to produce the music I want to. However, the K2000 rack has some minor problems but is still about the best-sounding piece of gear I own. Next in line is the Korg Z1. It is an AWESOME keyboard. Truly amazing and capable beyond the imagination sometimes. However, the Z1 doesn't always support the kind of music I do very well. At times it does, but my music is more like a mix of funk, jazz, classic progressive rock and disco. I feel that this music is best supported by traditional instruments (bass guitar, stratocaster, analog synthesizer, 12-string, B-3 organ). The Z1 is too "different" too fit in sometimes. And the Kurzweil rack has problems. I am thinking of selling my Kurzweil rack and my Z1 keyboard and buying either the keyboard version of the Kurzweil or maybe even a classic Roland D-50 or Juno. The Yamaha EX7 is my main synth by the way and is my "lower". Z1 is my "upper". What would you replace the Z1 with? I don't want to spend more than about $500. Generally I am looking for something that does very well with analog synth sounds. It would be nice to have some overlap with the EX7 but it doesn't have to. I'm even thinking of a Korg MS2000 or Oberheim OB-12 or Alesis Ion. moreResolved Question: Can anyone tell me what my dream meant?
Okay, so I've had this dream, and it's really odd and i have no idea why my mind would ever come up with it, so any help, suggestions or ideas would be extremely helpful. So basically, I'd swallowed a bee, I have no idea how I managed to swallow it, or how I knew it was a bee and not a wasp or a fly, but whatever, I knew it was a bee. It's flying around inside me, and I can hear every now and again the buzzing stops, and for some reason I believe that's when the bee is flying through my organs. I'm unsure whether to try and deal with it myself, or call my mum, who can maybe get a doctor. I decide there's nothing a doctor can do for me and calling my mum would be embarrassing, how would I explain I swallowed a bee?? So I try to cough it up, it gets stuck at the back of my throat and then breaks apart into small pieces which are all in my mouth, even though it's in tiny pieces, I can still hear the buzzing. (I know, it made me feel sick too) Then I wake up. What the hell?! Can anyone give me any idea why I had this dream, or what it means? Thanks! There's this specific song that I heard while browsing around a few days ago, but it's long since gone from my internet history. It started out with just one stop out, on one note, sounding almost as if the organist was testing the sound before he started playing. Searching the same song from different players showed that that was what was written. Anyways, it slowly grew until it was blaring the final note with all the stops out. I think it was by Liszt, and I think it was under 5 or 10 minutes, but I'm not entirely sure. Any help? moreResolved Question: What is your favorite piece of music involving the organ?

I'm looking for the name of a certain art piece. I saw a picture of it in a book a year or so ago and wanted to look it up but can't remember the title of the piece or the artist. It was a piece made of oysters (the meat) that were opened and pinned to a wall, they *ahem* it was a feminist piece and the oysters in the art and looked like feminine organs. The piece itself was interesting in it's use of oysters as a medium, so I would like to know more about it if anyone know of it or something like it. I think its style was either Dadaism, Pop, or conceptual; but I can't remember. Thank you for any help you can give me. I know it's not a lot to go off of, but any assistance would be wonderful. Here's a mock up made in MS paint of an oyster, though it doesn't look like an oyster. Hello, I'm 18 and I have been curious about something for sometime. I was born without one of my kidneys. I know that your adrenal glands rest on top of your kidneys, but I have a few concerns. One, since I am missing a kidney am I also missing an adrenal gland? Two, if my other adrenal gland formed is it just free-floating (I of course don't mean moving from place to place throughout my body) unattached to any organ? And lastly, how does adrenalin enter the bloodstream, is it through the kidneys, or by other means? I have been trying to research this on the internet, but it just keeps bringing up how to control panic attacks, and other information useless to my concerns. I am looking for an educated answer, preferably a doctor, but anyone who knows what their talking about would be fine. I just don't want a bunch of high school students who have no clue what their talking about to just piece random bits of information from google concerning my question together in hopes of the best answer. Thank youTo my knowledge, there is a complete absence of one of my kidneys. The other compensated for this by almost doubling in size, working just as well, if not better, than two normal kidneys (it is truly incredible what the human body is capable of). Do the adrenal glans form at the same time as the kidneys? If so could it be possible that one of my adrenal glands is substantially larger than normal? Also, I do understand that I will have to get referred to someone by my family doctor, I was just trying to understand the basics of my situation. moreResolved Question: Question concerning Organ, anybody creative?

They were prescribed for my other cat for a short while he ha sn;t taken them for quite some time..I could use all the help I can get so long as it is sensible...I did go out if my way to make her feel at home she even slept with me and when she woke up she was ok, then an hour later she started that growling again and spitting at me and if I get close to her she comes after me...I did set her up in my bedroom with a litter box and water, I bring her food morning, Noon & Night, I have a fan in there and a window cracked because it is cool out now and I have a radio on with mellow music no singing to calm her...I figure Maybe 2 weeks of this might make her comfy. Now there is another issues I sit for a brother & sister pair every evening and the girl thinks I am her mommy, and there has been a lot of Jealously, I got this girl cat for my cat for company....He doesn't seem that upset with the new cat as the new cat is with miy cat. I have this box made of imported mahogany. It's about 2' x 8" x 8" approximate size. On top are 37 aluminum pieces that look like electromagnetic valves. On one side are 37 push-rods that go inside the box and operate little accordion-style boxes. I've been told it's around 100 years old. Could it be worth much? Where would I sell it or sell the parts? moreResolved Question: What are some pieces similar harmonically to this (link included)...?

I'm not seeking more organ music, just a piece (written for anything) similar harmonically. It's in the classical music section because the piece is obviously very classically inspired. moreResolved Question: From where can I get ringtone of the music is played in the background in the movie "wake up sid"?

.....let him disown himself and pick up his torture stake and continually follow me. Here is some facts about it being a cross or torture stake ) Sex worship is indicated by the Egyptian cross, the crux ansata. This symbol represents the male and female sex organs united, thus constituting the key of life. On one wall appears a picture of a god holding a cross to signify that he is giving Pharaoh life. Interestingly, Syrians visiting Egypt nearly 2,000 years before the Common Era were wearing crosses similar to those of today. That the cross was passed on to the apostate Egyptian Christians is evident from their tombstones dating from the fifth to the ninth centuries of our Common Era. The beautiful Phoenician ivories bear unmistakable traces of Egyptian influence. Clothing, head cloths, gods and the cross of Egypt were passed on to the Phoenicians. Additionally, they had the sacred pole, a religious symbol of the male sex organ. But, even worse, the Phoenicians practiced the depraved religion centered around the fertility god Baal. It involved abhorrent rites of child sacrifice, the babies’ ashes being placed in cinerary urns. The cross did not become popular as a symbol in Christendom until the fourth century C.E., when Roman emperor Constantine adopted the labarum, a flag bearing the symbol [Artwork—Greek character]. However, this represented, not Jesus’ death stake, but the Greek letters khi (X) and hro (P) one atop the other. Many began to view this symbol as depicting the first two letters of the Greek word for Christ (XRistos). The Greek word rendered “cross” in many modern Bible versions is stau·ros′. In classical Greek, this word meant merely an upright stake, or pale. Later it also came to be used for an execution stake having a crosspiece. The Imperial Bible-Dictionary acknowledges this, saying: “The Greek word for cross, [stau·ros′], properly signified a stake, an upright pole, or piece of paling, on which anything might be hung, or which might be used in impaling [fencing in] a piece of ground. . . . Even amongst the Romans the crux (from which our cross is derived) appears to have been originally an upright pole.”—Edited by P. Fairbairn (London, 1874), Vol. I, p. 376. In connection with the execution of God’s Son? It is noteworthy that the Bible also uses the word xy′lon to identify the device used. A Greek-English Lexicon, by Liddell and Scott, defines this as meaning: “Wood cut and ready for use, firewood, timber, etc. . . . piece of wood, log, beam, post . . . cudgel, club . . . stake on which criminals were impaled . . . of live wood, tree.” It also says “in NT, of the cross,” and cites Acts 5:30 and 10:39 as examples. (Oxford, 1968, pp. 1191, 1192) However, in those verses KJ, RS, JB, and Dy translate xy′lon as “tree.” (Compare this rendering with Galatians 3:13; Deuteronomy 21:22, 23.) The book The Non-Christian Cross, by J. D. Parsons (London, 1896), says: “There is not a single sentence in any of the numerous writings forming the New Testament, which, in the original Greek, bears even indirect evidence to the effect that the stauros used in the case of Jesus was other than an ordinary stauros; much less to the effect that it consisted, not of one piece of timber, but of two pieces nailed together in the form of a cross. . . . It is not a little misleading upon the part of our teachers to translate the word stauros as ‘cross’ when rendering the Greek documents of the Church into our native tongue, and to support that action by putting ‘cross’ in our lexicons as the meaning of stauros without carefully explaining that that was at any rate not the primary meaning of the word in the days of the Apostles, did not become its primary signification till long afterwards, and became so then, if at all, only because, despite the absence of corroborative evidence, it was for some reason or other assumed that the particular stauros upon which Jesus was executed had that particular shape.”—Pp. 23, 24; see also The Companion Bible (London, 1885), Appendix No. 162. Thus the weight of the evidence indicates that Jesus died on an upright stake and not on the traditional cross. With research of documented prof why do the clergy teach that Jesus died on a cross that is in truth a pagan symbol for sex worship? Why do the people follow this false belief when there is prof that is overwhelming that their Savior didn't die on this pagan symbol?Alaric ??? Reread, nowhere is there referenceJesus couldof died on a pagan sex symbol.RevDr ??? Only man refers to the cross, this is a pagan sex symbol & the symbol for the pagan sun god Tau. You need to research scripture not man made doctrines(2 Tim 4:3-4)Ernie ???? What? Did they turn the channel knob on the cross from sex worship to the death of Christ? Tau the sun god's symbol is the cross, maybe it was on that channel.Graham It means mans salvation, Christ died for all mankind, being hung on a sex symbol is a false teaching. Gen 3:15 the first prophecy says that this would happen, I don't think our God would use a pagan sex symbol or the symbol of the pagan sun god as place his Son would die on, do you? moreResolved Question: what organ would digest crust from a piece of pizza?

Hi everyone I am a broke joke some would say. I make less than I need to pay my bills. I am not lazy in any way at all. In fact I work two and sometimes three different jobs at a time. Yet I feel I am in need of seeing a psychiatrist that I can't afford. The biggest problem I have that makes my life hard is my brain runs a million miles an hour. Then I have chest pains that have not stopped for over 12 years now. I just keep moving forward as though nothing is wrong but I know I can't continue to do this for long. The constant thinking has effected my ability to sleep along with my ability to listen, learn, and remember things. My way of thinking is so fast I jump from one thing to another, I change hobbies as fast as I change cloths. I'm not bad at any of these hobbies, but I tend to get bored very easily. I have tried everything I can think of and nothing allows my brain to rest. Many friends of mine and people around me tell me that this is a gift more than a curse but I disagree. I am told I am very smart and I do learn extremely fast but my interest is very short. This has prevented me from ever finishing college because I change my objects to often. The lack of sleep use to not bother me. I use to be fine if I could just get 5 or 6 hours a night. Now even 8 or 9 hours of sleep is not enough. When I think back about the complexity of my dreams even I am fascinated at the details. I always just thought maybe the fact I am a artist I was very visual but sometimes its beyond that. My daydreaming and my dreams are far to detailed. My brain seems to work so hard to put every last detail in. The grains of dirt on a sidewalk, the reflections on glass and water, the rust on certain metals and signs. The rip in a piece of paper. Everything is so clear so detailed down to the tiniest particle. One year I took a interest in studying human anatomy for a few months. After a few short months I had no choice but the stop. The more I started to learn of the human organs, veins, bones and all the great parts and pieces of our body the more I started to see this everywhere. When I would get cut or break something I could see it's every detail in my mind from the skin and tissues to the effect of the injury. When I would receive a shot I would see this chemical entering my veins and traveling through me. From the point of injection through the limbs, the heart, organs and so on. I feel my brain over working so much has ruined my life. I can't sit back and enjoy the simple things I see others enjoy. I just want to have a normal life. The ability to learn one skill and master it like everyone else. Yet my attention is quickly drawn away by interest of other things every few seconds. I can't even look at a simple wall in a house without visualizing its every detail. The texture under the paint. The paper holding the compressed Sheetrock together. The screws holding the sheet to the wall. The wood structure framed behind the walls. The insulation that is between the wood structure. The electric line of Romex running through its drilled rough holds and into the box which it is connected to the outlet. It all blows my mind. I fear if I continue to learn (Which I can't stop) in time I will truly go crazy. At this point in life I feel it will be to late for help. I really don't know what to do anymore. Anything you can suggest to help is greatly appreciated. Thank You for your time. You should see my vision just pushing this continue button. For those of you who want to blame drugs for this weird post. I tried drugs at a few times in my teen years which nothing helped and I have taken no drugs since then. moreTop Organ Pieces Links
