Applying for an Ancestry visa, I'm Australian but can get British citizenship because of my dad. When I get to the type of visa, purpose of application and type of application questions..What do I choose if applying for an Ancestry visa? There is no option for that. Under 'other', I can put 'commonwealth citizen', but later the choice of commonwealth country does not include the UK. If I put 'settlement', I have to choose one of the options like dependent, wife, husband, things like that. So what do I choose for an Ancestry visa? moreOpen Question: Can a US citizen and a Canadian citizen who are married, who are having a baby in CA travel back and forth?

I have been a permanent resident of Canada for 13 years, I am currently 18 and want to apply for citizenship. Previously, my parents would not allow me to become a citizen because i held a Chinese citizenship and they do not allow dual citizenships, so my parents never became a citizen, thus i could not because I was under aged. Now that I'm 18, i want to apply because I've lived here since i was 5 and I'm as Canadian as it gets and i just don't feel like having a Chinese citizenship will ever benefit me, I don't plan to go live in China and I am not Chinese in any way, other than the fact it is my ethnicity. I feel like I would have a false identity if I remained a Chinese citizen because i was brought up and raised differently than someone who was raised in China, and I feel I have a Canadian identity rather than a Chinese one. Plus I will be graduating high school in a few months and i would like to take a gap year, to travel, volunteer/work abroad and such. But having a Chinese citizenship will be such a hassle because i would have to apply for all these visas and with a Canadian citizenship i do not need to for most countries. I understand that the citizenship process takes 8-12 months, so will the process interfere with my travels? because i only have a year off for gap year and i would like to travel as much as possible. Or should i just remain a Chinese citizen until after gap year and after i start university? because i would like to work abroad and such when I am in university and having a Chinese citizenship will be a disadvantage to those that do :( please help me and give me suggestions or opinions on what i should do! thanks! moreOpen Question: Missing Travel Receipt for Small Company?

Corporation abuse, career damage and consequences I have been sent to work in the US under a certain type of Visa (executive). However, internally I was not an executive as it was described in the visa petition. I only found out this 1 year later when I had to go through my yearly evaluation and my title was different. I touched this subject with HR but I saw they were like "Ok, the company gives you an international opportunity in the US and you care about this Visa/tittle detail?". I felt like if I continued to push this I was going to be "out of the picture", probably shipped back to my country and I feel my career would be severely damaged. What to do? I am afraid immigration will not be happy that I have not told them this but immigration cannot help me when I am back to my country now. moreOpen Question: Can F-1 visa holder get married and applying Canadian PR card?

I would love some advice on immigration to America being a UK Citizen only working out here. I do not have a skill just managed to find a health care assistant job in a hospital, which requires no formal qualifications just a little experience working in hospitals. My main concern is once my working visa has expired as I have no degree or formal qualifications will America not allow me to stay and carry on working in America even if I am engaged to an American? I would appreciate any feedback, also anyone who has had a similar experience, can the country deny you the right to be with your fiancé once you get married? Will they say I have to go back and work in my own country, etc etc. I'm just a normal person who met a guy and does not want to be separated from him, so evidentially living and working in America with my to be husband is what if want.
