I'm applying for my first UK adult passport. I have had one before that I think was a child one, I got it at 13 and it expired a few months ago (I'm 18 now) From the leaflet it says you have to send off your old passport if you're renewing which I am but that you don't need to send it off if it's your first British passport, does this mean first adult passport?? I can't work out if I need to send my expired child passport off or if I should be sending off my birth certificate instead, I'd rather not send my passport off unless I absolutely have to due to the fact it's my only form of ID. more

Hi there, I am desperate to get back home to Australia. I was born in England and moved over there with my parents at 5 years old. I stayed there until I was 11 and returned to the U.K with my family. I stayed there long enough to gain citizenship and became an Australian citizen. As far as I know I can just book a flight and move back there without hassle although I do need to renew my Australian passport before I travel. I am now 20 years old and what I need help with is guidance how to get back over there with my english wife and daughter aged 18 months. I have heard that I can apply for my daughters citizenship through decent of myself but I have no idea if this is true and no idea how to go about it. This isn't a standard imagination process as I am already an Australian citizen so I would of thought it would be a lot easier. How do I get my wife citizenship? I am looking for a step by step guide, something I can plan with to get back over there. Should I become qualified before I move or should it not matter, just carry on as I am now and start fresh over there, I know I should take some savings over there to start up accommodation. any help would be very much appreciated as I would like to move back as soon as we can. I'm 15 and have to renew my passport for when I go to America in December but I'm a little unclear about hair and make-up rules. I have what you might call 'emo' hair - dyed black (original colour is medium brown), side fringe, layers etc. Would I be allowed to style my hair normally or do I have to clip my fringe back? Someone else told me that you have to show your ears as well but I don't know if this is true. I wear quite a lot of eyeliner as well but not enough to make me unrecognisable... just enough to make my eyes stand out a bit more. My best friend has bought me an amazing once in a lifetime birthday present. She has bought me a 4 day spa break at a luxury hotel in Italy. We will be flying First Class and she has booked the Presidential Suite and it all just looks amazing. I haven't had a holiday in the last few years, and because I don't go on holiday often, I haven't renewed my passport because I had other things to pay for, it wasn't top of my list. About two years ago my husband had an invite from some friends who live in France, and we didn't end up going because I didn't have my passport and I didn't get an emergency one. But it was an open invite and the time kind of came and went and we didn't end up going. He is now being a complete dick about my friend getting me this incredible present. He's being funny about the fact I'm going away for a few days even though I don't ever go away or do anything fun. He's being a dick about the fact I didn't get my passport renewed in time to go see his friend's in France. I'm just tired of everything being a fcking issue, I work hard. I keep the house clean. I cook every night. I don't go out often. I'm a good wife and mother and I'm fed up of being in a dull marriage and then being given the silent treatment because someone's doing something nice for me. Am I being a dick? more

Ok so myself and two friends are going on holiday at the end of july, and one of my friends needs to renew her passport heres the story: Shes 23yrs old and has currently had a childs passport which ran out a couple of years ago, i asked at the post office and they said she would just need to apply for a renewl adult passport on the form and get her photos and form signed. This is all good and well. She is getting that sorted next week but can she fast track the application for this and pay extra or can she only get it done by check and send at the post office, she wants it asap so to avoid waiting around as it takes up to 3wks + so can she go to the passport office and get it there and then for a renewl from a childs to an adults?Sorry forgot to mention we live in the UK more

My friends Mum has offered to pay for me to go on holiday with them for a week abroad. The thing is I don't have a passport. I don't have a lot of money ever, so my Nanan has offered to buy me one for my birthday. It costs around £80 and and give me £20 to get what I want. I appreciate this but as someone with hardly any money, and I can't get a job because of college, I have a whole list of things I need . My shoes are nearly worn out, I need some new clothes that fit me and some general stuff too. I know a passport lasts 10 years but I've been a few places when I was 11-14ish. There's only one place that I want to go now and I won't be able to afford it for a long while. I'd rather see more of my own country, go to London or something. I know you can do it through deed poll but it seems like a long process, and i'm a very impatient guy., the only reason i want it done asap is because my dads last name sounds.. well ridiculously foreign and i often wonder if it effects my employability when it comes to looking for jobs, that and i would very much prefer to have my mother's last name for personal reasons as well. i've heard you can go down to the register office or the city hall where you were born and they can change your name for you then and there, but i just wonder how much it costs... thank youplease don't answer by deed poll because i'm looking for a faster alternative haha :) more
