I'd really like a tankini, but I cant find anywhere that sells ones I like! Help? Im curvy, but NOT plus size. Im about a 13 in jeans. moreOpen Question: different types of bikes?
Hi I'm looking to buy a bike, mainly for the purpose of getting around my college campus. It has mostly paved roads and brick roads. I'm not sure what kind of bike to get. I understand that mountain bikes are probably best for doing ly.everything, including trails, which I do go on occasionally. My biggest question is if a road bike would be a good option. I'm not really sure what a road bike is, but from what I know it has a lighter frame, and thinner wheels? Do these thinner wheels get punctured easily/ need more of a maintenance? I'm just looking for something light and small and comfortable to go around in. (Cruisers look comfy, but are a little more chunky/ heavy then I would like) I'm looking at ads on craigslist etc. Is there anything I should be aware of while shopping online? I don't know about sizes either, but I know I'm on the short side (5'4 tall) How does this one look? http://florida.freecycleshopper.com/bicycles/ladies-free-spirit-24----15-speed.html It's rather cheap, which is why I'm doubting the quality of it...plus I haven't heard of the brand Thanks in advance! moreOpen Question: What are some good places to shop online?
I have very ecclectic tastes and love goofy little things like cupcake scarves and dinosaur necklaces, but I also like serious, practical things, well-fitted dresses and shirts and jackets. I do not like paying too much. ^^ Where are some good places that you all shop? Btw, I'm also plus-size, so if anyone knows any good places to get plus-sized clothes which are cute and reasonably priced that'd be awesome too ^^ moreOpen Question: What is a good SUV comparison shopping site or forum?
I am looking to buy a Jeep Cherokee-sized SUV in the coming months. I live in a big town so most of the time it will be on good roads, but it will see a fair bit of off road use and on skiing resorts. I need to be able to compare reliability, price (probably used), as well as gas mileage. Plus real reviews by real people, ideally. What's a good resource to go to? moreResolved Question: Why is my mom so cheap?
yesterday when we went school supply shopping at walmart, it cost 80 $ for school supplies for me and my brother. and she didn't want to buy other stuff that i needed cause it was expensive, so i paid for it with my own money. And now she's like "80 $ is too much money for school supplies for two people" WTF? thats hardly anything, and plus shes saying that shes going to take back some stuff, like duotangs, when i NEED them for school. And when i keep on asking her to get new clothes, she keeps on saying no. and she did buy me a 30$ pair of pants from american eagle, and shes's making me pay her back! she's making me pay her back for EVERYTHING that shes supposed to buy me. and i don't have that much money either, cause I'm only 14 and can't get a real job, so i do a fricken paper route, which hardly pays. And she won't take my back to school shopping for new clothes, which i am in desperate need of, cause i dropped a few pants size ( i went from a size 5 to a size 2) and NOTHING fits me.And when we do go she will probably just make me pay for all of my stuff.. And when it comes to my older brother and younger sister, she buys them EVERYTHING they want. And when she told me that she didn't have 14$ to buy me a binder, she went out and bought my brother a pair of 100$ shoes....WTF? and she buys my sister and brother everything they want, but when it comes to me... And i have talked to her and asked her, and she just says that money is tight right now, if money was so tight, then how come she can buy my brother and sister expensive clothes, video games, and other things? but when it comes to me, money just seem's to be "Tight" ?sorry it's so long...sorry it's so long...do i seem spoiled? i said 80$ for TWO people's worth or school supplies, that include's two sets of pencils, eraser, pens, paper, binders, dividers, felts, pencil crayons, rulers, math set, and waay more. And trust me, i know spoiled kids, And i am NOTHING like them, i do chores, practically buy my own things, in fact my brother and sister don't even do any chores, i do all of them. moreResolved Question: what should i buy for back to school? I am in the process of losing weight I have gone from a size 16 to a size 12 in 9 weeks. I still have 36 more pounds to lose to be at my goal of a healthy BMI. I plan to reach this goal by January or February of 2011. Every year our family takes a trip to Florida in May. I have always been uncomfortable in bathing suits usually wearing a dress over my suit all day. I have been looking online and every store seems to be clearencing out there swimwear at super low prices. I really would like to be in a bikini for our Florida trip this next summer as I am only 21 and haven't been able to wear one since I was like 14. I want to take my mom shopping for something to wear to my wedding. She's a size 26, and not used to dressing up. Any tips on a good store near Des Moines? moreResolved Question: Which commuter/town bike should I get?
I am looking at getting a new bike and live where there are lots of hills. I would be using this bike not only in my bus & bike commute to and from work, but also for shopping as there are various places I could bike to and/or from where I would like to be able to buy more than merely what I can fit in my backpack. I am open to purchasing Racks/Baskets if needed to achieve this. I would also like the bike to be very sturdy. http://bicyclecentreseverett.com/ I'm currently looking at Commuter/Town Bikes for Women at the above site. However I am torn between a couple. Bike 1: http://bicyclecentreseverett.com/product/10-trek-allant-wsd-49001-1.htm I like this one because it is light and even has a front rack which I am sure will come in handy since I like to bike to and/or from stores. It also has the 21 Speeds that I will require with the hills. Bike 2: http://bicyclecentreseverett.com/product/10-trek-atwood-wsd-59662-1.htm This bike is also being considered. I know it's a heavier frame but wouldn't that make it more durable? Plus I could put a basket on the front that might be even better than the rack on the first bike since I would be doing grocery shopping. It is a 21 speed, so it's pretty much in the same thing but heavier. I could probably manage getting it on the bike racks since my upper arms are fairly strong. It is when I must lift something and carry it around that I have a problem. Now, those are the two that I'm really favoring, since they both have the 21 speeds however I am also interested in disc brakes since my area does get a good deal of rain, even in the summer. Bike 3: http://bicyclecentreseverett.com/product/10-trek-atwood-wsd-59662-1.htm This bike has the Disc Brakes that I am fairly interested in having, however it is only an eight speed, so I am not sure how I would feel about that going up and down hills. It also has a belt drive instead of using a conventional chain drive, which is probably a plus, since there is an issue with dirt, mud, and other grime from the road much of the year. Last but not least there is Bike 4: http://bicyclecentreseverett.com/product/globe-womens-haul-2-60101-1.htm Bike 4 is more expensive than Bike 3, uses a chain like most bikes but has the nice sized rack in the rear instead of a smaller rack in the front, and it has some really nice extras such as a front and rear light and a bell. The first and second bikes are the most affordable. I could either one of them in the space of a month, and have cash for little extras that I know I will want and use. However, the only thing that unsettles me are the brakes since I do ride every day, rain or shine, unless I am too sick to work. Likewise, both the Cost and the lack of a wider range of gear combinations are issues for me with the more expensive bikes. At the same time, Winter is coming quickly and I doubt my area will have sunny skies for much longer. Input would be greatly appreciated and the best input will be rewarded. moreVoting Question: Final wedding day look. please, please, please help?? (pics)?

hey, recently i got a pair of robos, to go with my 2 syrians, and i thought that i would get them a "proper" cage for my birthday. well, they are in a large plastic box - they are very happy btw. well ventilated aswell. so i thought...a fishtank...or a proper hamster cage. some pics. Hagen LivingWorld Small Pet Home Exercise Dome (THE HAMSTER CAGE) Pros - Very big, similar size to rat cage (my syrians are in one each), looks very nice, not tacky, and comes with accessories, and they can climb the bars. but idunno if they're climbers. maybe more "diggers"... cons - not sure about wooden floors - may have to give layer or two of non toxic clear paint, so they dont pee straight onto the wood and it would be easier to clean. they are not chewers. they are escape artists lol :L so am worried about bars. it says "suitable for adult dwarf hamsters"...well for a start robos are the smallest of hamsters. secondly they are not the first pair of robos im gonna get in my life. and its not as sturdy and good as a rat cage, yet same price!, price is ridiculous. £50. but if its better for the hamsters... and of course, a pic of it... http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/rodents/cages/hamster_mouse_cages/hamster_cages/40877#more Fish Tank (the one i'd buy if i got one) pros - very easy to see and take photos of them - considering they're robos and i will not be handling them nearly as much as my syrians, easy to clean, impossible to escape out of. i can pile up woodshavings so they can dig and burrow. they love doing that. saves me getting a "digging tower" (by trixie if u dunno what it is) cons - cannot climb bars - but i dunno if they actually like it, since they've been in a glass tank in pets at home, then bought home and put in a plastic box. hmm... ..... and not as big as the hamster cage. expensive for a fish tank. £33!!! not including the mesh lid which i'll have to buy to keep them in it.... and is heavy. no handles to carry. and more difficult to clean out as is heavy. with the hamster cage the whole like cage lifts up so you just empty the base. oh, some pics - http://www.petsathome.com/shop/aquarium-by-clearseal-(available-in-store-only)-36345 if you go on the size select thing its the second one in the list, i think it says 30x15x12. big enough. and i dont wanna go any bigger because its longer - and i've no room at all for any longer!! So... i'm stuck. i've pros and cons for both!! and yes, i have considered a gerbil cage but bars of gerbil cage way too big for robos and they'd escape. plus gerbil cage even heavier, and i've run out of room lol - 3 cages!!! please dont say "fish tank" becuz its cheaper, or "hamster cage" cus it says the word "hamster" on it therefore its suitable, and a fishtank is not suitable because its not ddesigned for hamsters, its designed for fish, cus thats not true. and give reasons for your answer :) thanks oh - an idea of what the finished fish tank would look like... and its the fish tank i would get if i got a fish tank lol... this. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290464269242&_trksid=p2759.l1259 cool, huh? and yeah, i'm not gonna get that wooden top. they sell mesh ones too :)ok - i haven't made myself clear enough - i have no rats. lol. i have 2 syrian hamsters, they are in a rat cage EACH lol, they've hardly even met XD the 2 robos arre going in the cage :) moreVoting Question: Where can plus size teen guys shop?

I'm also kind of overweight and sometimes fit into plus sizes. if anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it!also, NO SHOPPING ONLINE. we dont have a credit card. moreResolved Question: I need help picking my etsy shop name!!!?
My goal is to sell my Native American type items. I make mukluks, moccasins, headbands, dream catchers, shields, and tribal style jewelry. All my items are quality and legit since I'm Native American and actually part of a tribe. My items mostly appeal to young adults and teenagers. However, I will be trying to sell children's size mukluks and moccasins. I was think something typical like "The Red Condor" but I found out "The Red Condor" name is already taken by an anti-virus software company. Plus the name seems kinda manly-man and I am aiming for a younger crowd. I was also thinking of names that used my tribe's name but I thought that might upset them since the shop would have to represent the tribe which isn't my intention. So yahoo-ians I am asking for some creative help. Please help me brain storm some really RAD names I could use for my etsy shop. Remember, the name has to be unisex, young, hip, but not hippie-ish. Do you think you can handle that? moreVoting Question: How can i tell my mom that i want to model?
Im very very close to my mom. She's more like a sister, were that close. She acts like my mom too though also. She's very protective of me and she wouldn't go on living if anything happened to me. When she was younger she had a lot of people coming up to her when she was out with her friends asking if she would model for them. After she had my brother, she put on a LOT of weight. I mean a lot. She went from 10 st 1 to 19 st 8. She was a size 20. She walked into a plus size shop and she was well over plus size and she even got asked then if she would go for a casting. They say beauty runs in our family. We all have a uniqueness. My great auntie won a glamour and beauty competition in Italy in the 1950's. My other great auntie was on magazine covers. (Only once, she quit) and my mom kept getting asked. My brother is becoming a model. He's 6 ft 4. He's slim, he has a nice face, hair and a uniqueness to him and he has got the personality to get him far. He's doing it to help him out because he has no money. My mom never took them modelling offers. People say i look exactly like her when she was younger so i must look okay, even though its not about looks. But she rejected them because she could of never of afforded the photo shoots and being taken around anywhere. Also when she had my and my brother and married my dad, she was tied down to be a housewife. But she said that she wants the best for us. I just want to do it as like a thing. I want a different job when im older. A proper one like in textiles of being a teacher or something like that. But how can i tell her? I tell her everything else. I like to avoid sensitive things though like boys or talking about sex because i feel uncomfortable with her about it because she takes the mickey. I've hinted about it but she's never taken it to heart.im 5 ft 6, aged 14. Im still growing. I've grown a lot in the past few months. Im a size 8 - 10. (UK Dress size that is) moreResolved Question: What's a good bargain shop in NYC/NJ?
What are the pros and cons of shops such as Loehman's, Filene's basement, Ross? All of them seem to advertise bargains in shopping for known brands. What's the best store in terms of variety? What are the condition of products, are they packaged like they would originally be at a department store? What's the biggest but quality bargain you've bought? What's the best store for plus size? moreVoting Question: am i too fat to shop at hollisters?

Two days ago the pain started in my lower stomach, I felt 'uncomfortable' most of the morning, but as the day progressed it became a dull ache/pain that started to spread down to my hips.At first I thought I was suffering from constipation but I have now managed to sort that problem out, With no relief to my pain what so ever. yesterday morning when I woke up the pain had gone, and I had pretty much forgotten all about it. I went out shopping (and driving) most of the day, And then after getting home and sitting down the pain started again Not so much in my stomach area, but around my pelvic/hip bones. It almost feels as if the baby is sat in the middle of my pelvis pushing it open. When i woke up this morning I had the pain instantly, and Have had it all day at work. Alot of people at work say it could be my ligaments stretching to prepare for the labour, Does anyone think this sounds right? I have a 6 year old son and I cant ever remember feeling pain like this when i was carrying him, If I was further gone I would possibly be thinking this was the start of labour, As I don't actually know what early labour feels like as I never went into labour with my son.He was 11days overdue and they did a C.section as he was too big for me too give birth too naturally. If it makes any difference at all, I am usually active all day anyway (I work on my feet walking 8 hours a day 5 days a week, Plus the normal house hold tasks ect) And I have had a very text book pregnancy, No problems what so ever. No bleeding in the slightest, No problems with blood pressure, baby's size or growth the only 'problem' i have had was that i wasn't eating enough early on and had ketones, but im more than making up for it now! lol I asked this question yesterday and only got 1 answer, I would like a few answers to compare :) moreVoting Question: what to wear with a black dress?

My sister is the dream (preppy, hyper,) daughter. Now she has a great body figure and mine...got some chunk but its not like BAD BAD. So she went to all the name brand stores (Hollister) of which i CANNOT stand.I got zip. so i was sitting outside A.E and she sits down and says in a snotty voice: "Why dont you have anything? This is the only day were going to be shopping! Your so ungrateful!" And then i say "well im not feeling all that confident and i highly doubt i can fit into those clothes in there." then she says "well they have Plus sizes and if you want to fit into smaller clothes your going to have to get smaller." now at this point i start to cry (like i am now) and she starts to comfort me because if mom sees me crying we cant shop anymore. Un great ful little B. so that's my whole say, my style is kinda the "scene skater-ish Eclectic" style and i my favorite store is Journeys ^__^ if they sold pants there my life would be so simple! So Thanks for letting me vent and rant! If this makes any sense to you guys.... PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! I need a PLUS size dress form -- adjustable - from a Canadian company. I have done a lot of online shopping, and have seen many from USA, but I want to buy from Canada, shipped from Canada. BONUS if I can find one locally (I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia) moreVoting Question: Why don't they have plus sized clothing in normal sizes too?
I shop at Kohls and was just looking through their online collection. I saw these really cute hoodies and I click on them and it only goes from 1x and up! A lot of the plus sized clothing is so much prettier than a lot of the normal clothing... I usually wear a medium, so it's not like the plus sized clothing would fit me. Any advice? :\Oh and I should mention, most of the time, the models for the plus size clothing are NOT plus sized... moreResolved Question: Where can I find a plus-size (women's) suit in New York City?

i am not really focusing on how much it will cost but i am really getting frustrated because im not fat enough to fit in plus size clothing stores... but im not thin enough to fit in stores that it seems most my peers seem to shop at either. it seems that the only stores that will fit me is ann taylor type stores but it also seems to be meant for 30 year olds and up. the problem with my body is i have 38DDD for boobs, a stomach that is "thick" ( so not flat ) but not huge or super flabby, arms that arnt big nor twiggy, and my legs seem to be on the lesser end of what would be thunder thighs. so basically i fit into bras at lane bryant, but when i wear there shirts...their smallest size is way too big on me and their jeans are too loose and long but when i shop at american eagle my boobs tend to stop me from wearing a shirt there because inorder for me to get a shirt to cover my boobs, itll be a tent on the rest of my body ( i hope this makes sense) right now i fit into size 10 jeans from american eagle but keep in mind they also stretch one size up. in particular i am looking for shirts. i live in massachusetts but can also order stuff online. also im 5'2 so im not tall. i need something age appropriate so any suggestions would be great and please dont put me down or anything... i dnt need that crap... i just need some answers i am looking for store names or websites i could go to thanks keep in mind my style is NOT preppy... i just used AE as a example. i like a variety of styles but please NO MAJOR PREPPY LOOKs. moreVoting Question: Plus Size punk rock/emo/scene stores?
im a plus size in shirts and pants reason;; Height so im a XXL or more ( i like bagginess <-- a new word) in pants im a 18 or 19. my style is well like the title a lot of punk rock and a few sceneish <- with i guess makes it a preppy style for the emo thing. but do you know any good online or mall stores? i shop at aeropostale, thrift stores <- for vintage shirts, hot topic, american eagle outfitters, jcpenny, wet seal and torrid. if any of you can make a cute outfit please do :] thanks moreResolved Question: Would I qualify for a breast reduction?
I am 16 years old, and I know that most and almost all breast reductions require you to be at least 18. But I am a 36DDD, yes 3 Ds and I just turned 16 at the end of June. Big breasts run in my dad's side of the family, and it looks like I got that gene. This is such a problem for me because I am an avid tennis player, and I have to wear a binding sports bra that I can hardly breathe in, and it still hurts to run. Also in my high school I'm constantly having to go up and down stairs and I cannot run up them with the average speed and enthusiasm of a teenager, I have to take them slow or my breasts kills me. I feels like someone tied 5 pound weights to my chest, which obviously in very painful. Between all of that I also have the common problem of finding clothing. I'm only going to be a junior this year, and I would love to participate in my schools dances and every girl wants to go to prom but it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find a cute dress that will fit my chest. The same thing applies with bathing suits. Unfortunately being a 36 I can't shop at most plus sized stores such as lane Bryant because the smallest size they offer is a 38. In addition to all of this it is also emotionally tormenting because my family teases me all the time about how big they are. I mean of course they come in handy sometimes, but overall they just tear me down, quite literally. So if anyone can help me, especially if you yourself have gone through or is close to someone who has gone through a breast reduction surgery it will be GREATLY appreciated. moreVoting Question: if there was a plus-size store for evening gowns would you shop there?
SPECIFICALLY, WOMEN AGE 20-40 prices ranging around Nordstroms moreVoting Question: Looking For Mall Stores for A Girl Who Is Slightly Overweight?
I want to go shopping for some trendy and classy clothes for the new school year. I am a 16 year old black girl and I have problems looking for clothes because of my size. I'm definitely not huge but I am slightly overweight. I weigh 190 lbs but I'm 5'10 or 5'll in height so I guess I would be considered "big-boned". I've already heard of stores like Torrid, Old Navy, Debs, and Lane Bryant but I don't have those stores at my local mall. So could you please give me other mall stores that would carry clothes that size me. I'm probably a size 15/17 in Juniors. I think that Junior Plus sizes would fit me but I could go a little smaller as well Please no online sites moreResolved Question: What is the perfect weight?
I am always being told that I am way too skinny... I know that I am, but I'm trying to be a model. I know what the chances are, but I have had photo shoots done. They went very well! I've modeled for local fashion shops, bands, some magazines, and I've done several fashion shows. If I do become a size 8 and weigh 120 - 130 I'll be a "plus size" model. I really don't want to be one. I am not really starving myself... I hardly feel hungry. I having around 800 - 900 calories per day, along with vitamins. I know it is under the normal calorie intake for girls/women my age, but it is what I need to do. Anyway, I am 20 years old, I weigh 106 pounds/48.6 kilograms and I am 5 ft. 8 in. I'm a size 2-4/32-34 and my my measurements are bust 33, waist 23, hips 35. Should I stop trying to reach my gaol and listen to them? Even if it could hurt me and make me unhappy? I am happy being this way and I'm happy that I've been able to do this. I really don't want to stop. Some women would kill to do some of the stuff I have been able to do. Really what should I do? moreTop Plus Size Shopping Links
