Resolved Question: How can I find goth clothes in oman? (Arab country)?
I live in an arab country and there is nothing in the shops that I like. Does anyone know where I can find some gothic clothes? The online shops are very expensive. Or tips on how to create my own clothes.People don't care what you wear here as long as it covers your shoulder and your knees. Also the heat doesn't bother me moreOpen Question: How much do you have to tip?? How much is a good/bad tip?
I've been reading things online about how people get upset if someone is a lousy tipper. What does that mean? If I go to a restruant, I'll leave maybe $3 to $5, is that a bad tip? When I go to a boba or coffee shop, I want to tip but I usually don't. How much could I tip without anyone eyerolling about it later? If I were waiting on someone, sure a tip would be nice, I wouldn't complain over a $2 buck tip, it's better than nothing. Why do some people get upset over that? I don't get out much so maybe that explains my ignorance... and maybe some people don't always have the extra $5 or more to spare on a tip moreResolved Question: Septum piercing tips?
I'm going to do it myself either way so please do not flame or tell me not to because I know the dangers and consistences of doing it, thank you. Since that is out of the way now, I'm going to pierce my septum myself because 1, I'm under aged and I cannot get pierced without a parents consent 2, my mother totally hates facial piercings and won't allow me to get one done. Yeah I know I shouldn't go against my mothers wishes and I could loose her trust if she ever finds out but I really want this piercing and I'm determined to do it to the best of my ability. Since I am under aged I do NOT have a credit card so therefore I cannot purchase needles online so I'm going to purchase a 16g needle from the store, preferably Wal-Mart. Yes I'm going to do the whole burn and boil sterling method which I know isn't the cleanest but its better then nothing. I plan on purchasing a septum crescent from a local piercing shop to put in once I've pierced it because I like the way they look. I want to pre-pair myself the best I can for this so does anyone have any tips on cleaning/placement and better equipment a 14 year old can purchase. moreResolved Question: Mass Gainer help please!?

(pics)?
I'm really pissed off right now. At my school, our dress code for shorts is that they have to be no shorter than your finger tips. This sucks for me since I have really large hands (like literately twice the size of most girls my age) and pretty long arms as well. So this means I have to wear shorts as long as soccer shorts in order for me to "pass" the code. Butwith other girls, they can wear regular length shorts and get away with it because they are shorter!! It sucks. So I was back to school shopping online looking for a nice length shorts. Do you think these are long enough? http://www.roxy.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3996344&clickid=cart moreResolved Question: How to shop on Amazon.com?

I am starting community college this semester and I am taking 3 online classes at Wake Tech. The campus is located a few minutes up the street from my house and I was thinking about hanging out and doing some online work in the student lounges sometimes to try and meet some new people (particularly gay). The problem is.... Is this the best way to meet new people? We do not have a lgbt club or gay alliance organization set up so it makes it a little more difficult. What is the best way I can approach and meet some new people that are particularly gay at my community college? Most people hangout in either the cafe, library, coffee shop, or the lounge. My plan was to sit in one of these areas sometimes with my laptop and catch up on some work. However in attempting this I do not want to look like a loner. In doing this.... How do I go about meeting people (particularly gay)? Most times when people are in these areas they're busy on their phone, laptop, ipod and do not pay much attention to others. Is it possible to meet someone without interrupting them and particularly being weird and random? Please help me and be very detailed and specific in response. Anything helps! I really need some tips and some suggestions. I will check this often and give credit to the best reply! :) moreResolved Question: How can you personalise your clothes? ..tips please. :)?

I'm considering buying clothing online due to the lack of selection in my city. I would probably buy from Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, A&F, Holister, etc, and I have a few questions. 1. What is the general cost for shipping? 2. If I don't like my purchase, can I return it? 3. If so, do I still have to pay for the shipping (both ways)? 4. Can I return clearance items? I was at the pet shop the other day and there was this beautiful gray parrot with a red tail (it was a small fluff for a tail though). They had him in smallest cage they had but large enough he could hold onto the bars with his feet. He just looked so cooped up though. Well I saw him and he was squawking at me so I instantly came over. He was adorable. The parrot started showing off. It was really cute. (I think he was showing off anyway). He would spread his wings and look at me (he didn't look menacing when he did it) and he was just showing me his wings sort of. I stuck my finger to the bar and he moved over there and actually licked my finger and rubbed his beak up on the tip of my finger. It was adorable. I asked the people how long they had, had him and they said over a year! He was $600 though. I will be getting a job soon and my mom is putting my in online schooling so I will be able to do my school work as I please and will only be working for so many hours a day once I get a job (which I will) because it will be a part time job. I will have plenty of time on my hands and I really just need an affectionate animal that will adore me like I adore it. When I get the money should I go back and buy the parrot or is it useless because the parrot won't remember me? It just seemed like I bonded with the animal.I can do research on birds and the type of bird and the only way to get experience with birds is to get one. I know you aren't trying to be rude but it sort of feels that way. I am just asking if I should get it, not reasons why I shouldn't. I have a lot of spare time and yes I can be very stupid but I have owned exotic pets before. Please do not underestimate me.I don't mind vet bills either. It really doesn't bother me.Their budgies were in aquariums lol..it just didn't look right...@mroof: no that is actually the nicest way to explain things. I am getting a part time job, my parents have never had to foot a bill for any pet I have ever had. I have always done it myself. I have owned many exotic pets in the past mostly to nurture back to health and release (So yea they were wild) . I do plan to further consider it before I do anything yet and yes I have added up the costs just to get the bird as well. I am reading up on it right now. I am pretty sure you don't know me and what sort of animals I have handled and yes I have handled parrots before, ones that haven't had attention in years. There is a difference between constantly handling parrots and owning them though which is why I vividly described the experience.I am going to be homeschooled so the parrot could definately have more than two hours of my undivided attention -_-. I don't have a lot of friends and I only hang out with them once a month. There aren't a lot of other things I do....My dad is paying for me to be do online schooling because he is paranoid. He won't do anything for my pets but I let him handle the school stuff. There aren't really a lot of things I want and I will probably take a certain amount out of my paycheck and put it back for the bird IF i get it.I also know parrots live a long time. My friend has three parrots who I handle quite frequently (again I know it is not the same as owning one).I know i was extremely stupid for sticking my hand in the cage. I am 16 what do you expect. I've stuck my hand in a hole in the wall to catch a snake before and I tend to forget to think. It happens...Ok thanks. I will probably go back and ask a couple questions. Again I may or may NOT buy this bird. don't get onto me about wanting to buy the bird -_-. I have never said i am going to, just asking if i should. I have handled birds before and I have said it was very stupid of me to stick my finger in the cage. Please stop harrassing me about it. -_-. I am 16. Chill out.I never said I was going to buy it, again. I never said i would get it because I feel bad for it or because it was cute. There is more to a pet than that and I am not that shallow or petty so stop assuming because I am 16 I don't understand. I don't buy things because they are cute or because I feel bad for them. I buy things I want in my life and that I can love unconditionally. I am sorry I am not the 16 year olds you know. That is just how it is.I actually have to have noise to sleep. -_- My parents have a room far away from my room anyway. It's not like I haven't thought about smaller birds either. And I am not saying your answer isn't anything for me to think about. I have a lot to think considering your answer and other answers on here. My only issue is you were suggesting I was saying I only wanted it because "I felt bad for it" or because it was "cute" and it's just not the type of person I am. You are also underestimating my issue. I can't fall asleep unless the nosie level in my house is LOUD. I might start out smaller like other people suggested and call someone about the poor bird. Your answer is super helpful and I will consider everything you have told me very very carefully. I thank you for your answer and I appreciate the advice. Please don't tell me I don't know what commitment a parrot takes. -_- You don't know. I will take your advice very seriously though, thank you so much.Btw I would love a pet unconditionally even if it didn't love me back. I've been through it before.I've handled birds before but I refer to them as exotic pets as they are not something a person would typically own. moreResolved Question: Back to school fashions? Help!!!!!?
Ok I'm 5'2 1/2 Skin: Medium Dark. I'm in middle school going to 7th grade. I like dressing kind of like a mini beyonce. Like this for fall: http://photos.posh24.com/p/420253/l/beyonce/beyonce_stealing_fashion_tips.jpg Not like in heels but boots no heel o them and flats. I need shirts. I just got my computer back from a repair shop (for the 3rd time) and when I hooked the monitor up it auto-configured for the proper settings. For some reason though when it displays a page it is too large. I have to keep scrolling horizontally, and I'm not sure what settings are messed up. A more detailed description is that everything is large, but the text (font) is proportional. When I first go online yahoo will display whole screen without me have to scroll sideways. Once I click from there though everything else I have to scroll sideways...ex- I have to scroll sideways to bring the sign in boxes on myspace into view. Hardware and Settings: I went to desktop and I tried to see if I could see anything obvious but I am not sure and I don't want to compound the error when I don't know what I'm doing. (I think the dpl is off) The current setting under properties on the desktop are: Screen Resolution= 800*600 Color Quality= 32bit Anyways the monitor is a HPw19e (Plug and Play)- I hope this is enough? on a Nvidia GeForce 6250LE Clicking on Advanced features under Color Management the DPI setting is on Normal Size (96DPI) I think this needs to be set on Large Size (120 DPI)- but once again this is just a guesstimate for me, I don't have a clue. If there is any other info I didn't include please just let me know. And thank you for any tips or suggestions anyone can pass on to me. A virus got my computer and it took six months before I could afford to get it looked at and I used other computers around the house - I was kinda hoping when I got it hooked back up the first time it'd would be like putting on a pair of well broken in shoes but between this and the repair place I keep coming up with stones.Um - I tried that and now everything is very tiny (lol- I'm starting to feel like Alice in Wonderland) I TRIED looking to see if it's a widescreen but I COULD NOT find that info under properties and I'm not sure where else it's at. I do believe it's 19 in.. This computer came in a box and as long as they work I usually don't care about this stuff... So uh- no more scrolling sideways on the other pages but now I need a microscope! :) moreResolved Question: WHY WAS MY QUESTION ERASED!!!!?

I am 17 years old and a senior in high school. I am looking for my first 'real' job, and today I sent in an online application to Juicy Couture. I would LOVE to work there, more then anything. I don't have any experience in retail, but today I was shopping at buckle, and I told a store clerk about how I want to work at juicy. She told me that one of her best friends is the manager there, and how they need someone to work in the back room. I do have experience in stocking items, so I thought I was a little qualified. How do you think I could land this job? I am thinking tomorrow I will call them and ask if the manager will be in today, and if she is I will go in and personally introduce myself and hand her my application and resume. What else should I say?? I am so new at this stuff does anybody have any tips!!? moreResolved Question: Where can I find inexpensive furniture (online or at furniture stores North Carolina)?
My boyfriend and I are moving into our first apartment together in less than two weeks and have searched all over the web for nice but inexpensive furniture. We are moving to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and we're planning to visit the Goodwill stores in the area once we arrive. I've searched IKEA, Walmart, and Target, but I know that there has to be more out there. Because we are signing a 6-month lease upon arrival (in case we find that we can afford a nicer apartment), we aren't willing to invest more than necessary in our living room and bedroom sets. However, we would still like for our furniture and accompanying pieces to match and have a more modern look. If you have been in a similar situation, please share any tips or shopping centers that proved to be particularly helpful. Thanks! :-) moreResolved Question: Sewing/creating a pattern for a graduation & evening dress?
I will be an 18 year old (female) high school senior this fall. I have an event in early March that requires formal gowns (a graduation type ceremony). I have been looking forward to this for years-especially "picking out the perfect dress" as I don't do prom. I will most likely use the dress for my official graduation in May as well (and hopefully at dances during college, etc.). Anyway. I've been very disappointed with the selection of dresses I've seen both online and in stores, so I've decided to shoot for the stars. I have looked at some Vogue (and Simplicity, Butterick, McCalls) patterns, but am not quite satisfied-if nothing works, I'll go Vogue. My "stars" are high: I want to work together a few patterns. Better yet, I want to work together a few PHOTOS for which there are no (accessible) patterns, create a pattern, and sew my version of the Cinderella dress every little girl dreams of. I have access to a few very advanced ladies who sew clothing all the time-which I will be using, because although I started sewing at 11, I mostly quilt. Which is the reason I am using August to decide, create, and finalize all patterns, measurements, supplies, and fabric ordering, etc. Then use Sept.-Jan. to slowly make it to perfection. So, the question is: Does anyone have any real rock solid tips about creating evening gown (floor length) patterns? Can one create their own pattern? I'm 5'2" and between 100-110lbs. What is the best fabric for evening gowns, or does it depend on the pattern (satin, silk? I heard silk is never used)? Does anyone have a favorite book or recommendation to learn pattern creation and special occasion sewing techniques? What shop - online or off- have you found provides the best quality material for these dresses? Any other tips, guidelines, references will be GREATLY appreciated! I apologize for this being so long, thank you if you took the time to scan it! I'm just so excited, nervous, and desiring it to pan out! _____________________________________________________________________ Oh-type of dress: Evening gown. Floor length. Medium green (rare, I know-but my eyes are a brilliant green), blue, or lavender. Contains that popular shirring around the waist and hips. Tight on top, but with a form of sleeves. Hits where the breast bone starts (in line with the armpit/end of shoulders) (I'm petite, so I can't go low...cause I have nothing to support me down there, in all honesty.:P). Flowing out from thighs, meant for heels, possible slide slit. Back- doesn't matter- low, strappy, gathered-just a few inches above waist. _________________________________________________________________________ I've gathered hundreds of photos. Hi, i just recently started looking at clothes on yesstyle and i decided to do some research on it before considering buying anything from there. its related to yesasia so think it is reliable (correct me if im wrong) but then again ive never shopped online before. i hear that its a little bit expensive but it depends on the brand. plus i dont have a KSSN so i cant buy it cheaper from any other sites. [if you know any sites that can ship to canada please tell me!] 1) so what are your fave girl brands? 2) also how much is shipping (i think its 150+ and its free right)? 3) do you pay before or after you get your package? 4) if an item you order is out of stock do you get you money back? 5) any tips for buying on the site? 6) is it safe to use debit on yesstyle or is credit card better? 7) i hear things about how it takes a while for the site to get it and then they send it to you, so if they said youd get it in like 2 days would that start after the site got the clothes from the store? (does that even make sense) also anything i should now about buying online in general? (cuz like i said ive never shopped online before, my parents arent really computer ppl so they dont trust it, but my sis will be old enough to get a credit card soon so ill just help her build credit lol) moreResolved Question: how to save money on back to school clothes?

I got my first iguana, RIco, a couple of weeks ago from an exotic pet shop near where i live. Rico was the largest of the iguana's for sale, he seemed much older than the babies who were only a few inches long without counting their tail length. His fingers on his hands seem like they are deformed somehow, they were like that when we got him. We have a cage that is easily twice his length long including his tail. We have a heat lamp on one side of his cage and a UVB light as well. we feed him every morning, either kale or mustard greens. He has two sources of clean water. A big peice of driftwood for climbing, a few rocks, and two bamboo sticks that are stuck along his cage but kept low to the ground so he can't climb to high near the heat lamp. His cage is kept between 80-95 degrees at all times and we try and keep his cage with the uvb on for 12 hours and off during the night. He has become more active and gained weight sense we got him, but he still seems fairly inactive. I try and handle him daily and he like to be hand fed. I've read ton's of information on the internet, but I am still concerned that I am not doing enough sense he is my first igauna. I only want what is best for him and any tips would be greatly appreciated. I do have a rig between a humidifier and his cage so we can keep his environment a little humid. and we are using a thin type of mulch, which the pet store has suggested, but I have heard that astro turf is better, but I'm not convinced as only one of the online sources I've read had suggested that moreResolved Question: please help jean problems!! im desperate?

I bought an iphone 4 from the Orange shop and they said they had activated the sim etc. This was yesterday. I charged it up and today I finally got around to trying to use it to make calls. I had synced it with itunes as it says to in the tip booklet I havent been able to get online with it and, when i dialed a number, it didnt ring but instead i got a series of options (a voice telling me if i want to register for my group or want to register ten or more phones press one, if i want any other talk plan press 2, if i am a small business press 3, and if i dont have a touchpad telephone stay on the line) Is this normal? I was under the assumption that the phone would already be activated and ready to go, and my talk plan was detailed in the contract. Do I have to press one of these options and speak to an adviser, or is it just taking a long time to activate? Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is the first time i have got a contract phone and so it isnt going well! moreResolved Question: Do you have any experience?

I have recently gotten over a serious illness and as a result I am going to treat myself to a whole new wardrobe so I can really feel good about myself. However, since I am neither skinny nor tall I would like some tips and advice on what clothes would look amazing. Okay so I am: - 27 years old, so I want something funky but not 'teen' clothes. - 5 foot tall (short hehe) - 'vital stats' are 38 (F) bust, 33 inch waist and 40 inch hips (basically dress/top size 16, jean size 14) and a 28 inch leg. - I have quite chunky legs and don't like my arms much so I would like things to flatter these. Please don't tell me to diet, as I am under doctor's orders to not diet for a few months so I want to feel good about myself the size and shape that I am. I basically have a very prominent 'hourglass' figure, but wearing a belt to show off this waist I have simply makes my bust and hips look massive, but if I wear loose clothes I tend to look like a balloon. What I am after is tips to balance this out. I do not like too much emphasis on my bust, as I want my whole figure to be appreciated, not just my cleavage. I am willing to buy from overseas so if you can think of good online clothing stores I can shop at please let me know! Thank you! :) moreResolved Question: can i order a bb gun from america?
I want to get the We Hi Capa 5.1 Dragon but its sold out on all the online shops in UK, except for ones where you need a UKARA License. I found this gun on Amazon.com but im not sure if there are any laws against that gun on the UK (it is not brightly coloured, made of metal, does not have a bright orange tip and looks like a real gun). Can someone please tell me if it is legal in the UK without any type of License? moreWelcome to Online Shopping Tips News
