Open Question: What are some good brands for Translucent powder?

I've been looking online because I've had no luck at Chemists/drug stores or department stores. I'm wanting a translucent that's as transparent as possible, Matte (strictly no shimmer or glitter), no sunscreen and preferably compact (but it's okay if it's not). Just a basic matte translucent to set foundation! So far I've looked up Mac, Coastal scents and a couple other cosmetic sites, but I'm kinda over it and need some advice please! Thanks in advance! Open Question: How do I post a negative review of an online store? I can't find a forum in which to do so.?

I recently purchased a dress from Shoplulla.com. I was excited about the dress, but much to my disappointment when I received it the fit was all wrong. I promptly packaged it up, called Shoplulla and got an RA# and returned the package. Three weeks went by and I never received a credit back on my credit card. I called Shoplulla two days ago to check on the status of my return and explained that I had not yet received a credit back. The woman I spoke to was nice and said she would look into it and call me back. I received a voicemail last night that she checked and they had, in fact, received the package - but, it had not yet been processed. She had it processed and informed me that a credit was issued and I should be all set. Then, today I received another call from her. She said that they had issued the credit, but after closer inspection of the dress it was clear that it had been worn. (I will lay my hand on the Bible I did not wear this dress!!). She was completely rude and said, "We are in the business of selling clothing; not renting it." I cannot even tell you how offended I was. She then asked me never to purchase from them again, which will not be a problem. I will never purchase from them again after being treated so incredibly rudely. I told her emphatically that I did not wear the dress and she said, "Then someone else must have because there is a throw up stain on the front of it." What????!!!!! Perhaps someone from their returns department took it out for a night on the town. Maybe that's why there was a three week hold up on the return. I have no idea, but I am so angry at the way the conversation went. Does anybody know how I can post this as a review for their business? I cannot find online where I can give them a review. I would strongly discourage anyone to purchase from them. Thanks for your help. more

Resolved Question: What's a good store I can find fashionable, but warm womens jackets?

It feels like fall where I live, so I'm starting to look for some FASHIONABLE (meaning no Northface, Columbia, REI, etc.) warm jackets. I'm in my early twenties. PLEASE NO: Macys, Nordstroms, Sears, JCPenny's, Hollisters (Abercromie's, Aero's etc.), or Forever 21's. I don't like the looks of stores like Hollister and I've already checked the other 4 department stores. Any other suggestions? It can be an online site, but it has to be based in the United States. Thanks! more

Resolved Question: Is this acne or something else? (pictures)?

This is my 4th year of having this. It has never completely gone away on my chin. It looks like it is gone sometimes but you can still see it. I've used a lot of acne products to try and get rid of it and I looked online for natural solutions to get rid of acne and I found "Tea Tree" with get rid of your acne overnight. I couldn't find it in the store, so I got a "Burt Bee's Natural Acne Solution" that contains Tea Tree. I've been using it for several days now and nothing has happened. I'm really stressed out and I just want this to go away. The pictures that are given are the only places I've ever really had it. Except I have something similar looking on the palm of my hand. I really want to see a dermatologist.. but I'm afraid they're gonna be too expensive. So I have three questions here: #1: Is this acne? #2: Will tea tree really get rid of my acne, if so where can I find it? (If in a store, what department of the store) #3: How much does it usually cost for a dermalogist appointment? Pictures (I took ones from yesterday and ones from today) Yesterday: http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i71/kaneischampion/GEDC0050.jpg http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i71/kaneischampion/GEDC0051.jpg http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i71/kaneischampion/GEDC0052.jpg Today (literally just taken): http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i71/kaneischampion/GEDC0053.jpg http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i71/kaneischampion/GEDC0054.jpg http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i71/kaneischampion/GEDC0055.jpg http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i71/kaneischampion/GEDC0059.jpg http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i71/kaneischampion/GEDC0060.jpg P.S. My chin itches a lot. The stuff on the palm of my hand itches really bad too. I went to a doctor when it use to be on my fingers and all he said was that I have sensitive skin. There has to be something for it then. Is there any possibility that what is on my face is the same thing that's on the palm of my hand. (The stuff on my hands never really goes away either..) Thank you so much for your help. It's not dry skin, trust me. If you saw it in person you'd get a better image. more

ok i work at walmart, my job is to stock milk eggs and other dairy products, my department manger works the morning shift and im a closer so i really dont have any supervision. i have to solve problems on my own many times (i graduated high school 2 years ago) lots of customers have been asking me if the eggs are safe to eat and i tell them no cases have been reported in texas so were ok, well the first case broke out in texas today where im from so now i cant say that. i have gone and asked two of my support managers if i should take any brands off the shelf but they seem to brush it off and treat it like no big deal (my store has not been doing LOTS of things by the book lately) im hoping now that a case has been confirmed in texas they will do more for the safety of the people but somehow i dont think they will. im the first person customers ask however if the eggs are safe to eat so i did some research online and found the brands that are not safe. i plan on printing a list and showing it to customers but i might get in trouble with management and my mother and i are the only ones paying the bills, we dont receive any food stamps or stuff just medical help. how should i deal with this? any advice would help. Resolved Question: Guys especially....I need your help..please! Girls you can answer too.?

So last week I had this guy i kinda like from work take me home. He's cute, sweet and said that he's into a lot the same things I'm into: poetry, yoga. He was really bummed out that he couldn't go to my backyard volleyball party that I invited him to. There was one time that I was looking for him in the lumber aisle at work and he was walking toward me from the other end of the store and then he just suggested that he walk with me to the break room. He's so adorable. Anyway, that night he mentioned he had to go to this social at the college he just got into. (This college is one that I helped him to decide to go to...and also one that I went to...and also one that I live down the street from.) Keep in mind its like 10 o'clock at night. So about 10 minutes later I call him in his department and I say would you do me a HUGE favor? And he says "sure lay it on me" (in his hot to death voice) and I ask him since he's going about 2 blocks away from my house would he drop me off at home? He says he would. So we go home right. He's a bit shy and we talk about his school schedule and how I was expecting him to say no when I asked him if he liked poetry. He says he likes it and writes a little bit himself but would never perform. ANd I say that I write just a little bit. And he slightly teases me when I say "just a little bit." Then he drops me off and I give him a hug and his hugs are so the best. That night I sent him an email with an abstract poem about Morning (nothing flirtatious or about love or anything weird like that.) and asked what he thought of it. Ok so advance to my dilemma. The next day I had a break at the same time he had lunch but he was on the phone. So I just kinda waived and tapped him on the shoulder and said hi. I went to go talk to my mom-like coworker and we got invested in the conversation. I noticed him get off his phone maybe 5 minutes before I had to go. But I was helping my coworker figure out how to use her phone. All the while, I am still noticing him fan through a magazine. And now its time for me to go so I say "See ya later Alex" and kinda grab his shoulder on the way out. I don't know if I should've sat down and talked to him and been late from my break. Or if I should've cut my mom-like coworker off to go talk to him. But now its been 6 days since my email to him. And he has not replied. I know it was the first week of school and he had a lot going on over the weekend. So he could be busy. But this was a Facebook email I sent him and I know he's been online because he commented on a few mutual friends status'. I sent a follow up email last night (yesterday was Day 5 with no reply.) I explained the situation and said I got distracted and couldn't talk to him. I kept it light and airy. Asked him about school and said I just thought I'd pop in for a moment and see how your week is going. I said see you this weekend and left it as that. Hopefully he responds to this one. IF not then I don't know what to do on Sunday. I'm not sure if I offended him or not but any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks! more

I wanted to buy a linen suit for summer job interviews. I tried Macy's and JCPenney, but each place has like 1 linen suit in the entire women's suit department. Where else can I try that has variety? I'd rather go to a brick-and-morter store (not online). more

Voting Question: Should I stop looking for full-time work and wait the economy out?

I've been underemployed for over a year now. When I am not working an evening shift as a part-time sales person at a department store, I spend my nights looking at online jobsites, writing cover letters, and applying and applying for full- and part-time jobs. Recently I've been feeling discouraged because despite my four-year college degree and a decade's worth of experience as an editor, I can't get a second part-time job at Macy's, the Container Store, or Whole Foods. When I apply for full-time positions that are related to publishing/communications, I feel that I am less desirable as an employee because I've been underemployed for so long. I'm not sure how to address that in my cover letter, if at all. Is it better to just stop looking for a second part-time job or a full-time one and wait things out? more

Resolved Question: Gold star charm (where to buy)?

I've been looking all over craft stores and department stores with a jewelry section for a gold star charm or necklace, and can't find any. I want something from an actual store as opposed to buying online. It doesn't have to be great quality because it's for a doll. It just has to be a small, solid star that's colored gold that has a hole for a small chain. So far I've tried Icing, Claire's, Michael's, Target, K-Mart and Kohl's. Voting Question: Where can I find this? Ten pts. best answer.?

I fell in love with the perfume Guess by Marciano for Women Perfume. I absolutely love it, but the price is a little high for what I would like to spend. I believe that it is $50.00 for the fragrance, however I am hoping to not pay that much. I was hoping that there was a printable instore coupon that doesn't expire until or after August 13th, 2010. I am purchasing this perfume in Macy's department store, NOT online. So I would need a valid, printable instore coupon for either discounts or whatever on a Macy's Fragrance OR for the specific fragrance that I plan to be getting (Guess by Marciano.) Could anyone please give me the direct link to the printable macy's coupon for a discount on fragrances. OR an actualy discount for the specific perfume that I like. THANKYOU. more

Resolved Question: LANCOME TEINT IDOLE FRESH WEAR FOUNDATION SIZE PLEASE?

so i have looked EVERYWHERE for the size of this product but it is literally NOWHERE. I checked sephora's site. I checked Lancome's site. I checked various department stores' sites. I even went through Michelle Phan's videos where she uses this product to look at a close up of the bottle and the size isn't even on the actual bottle!!!!! I am trying to compare products and I really need to know the size!! you know in ounces....like every other foundation I have seen online and in real life! thanks in advanced. more

Resolved Question: What is a good substitute for Max Factor Pan Stik?

I'd like to find an alternative or a substitute for Max Factor's Pan Stik. They no longer are going to be distributing it in the US. And ordering it online with shipping and tax makes it expensive. I'd like to find one that is NOT in a department store like Shiseido but a cheaper alternative I can get at Wal Mart or Target etc. Thank you more

Resolved Question: Job situation making me angry! HELP!?

I'm 15, turning 16 later in the year and I've been applying to places, with no luck. The problem for me is that I don't know where to apply. I've applied to places I want to work, but so far no luck. I know, being 15, there isn't much options, and not many employers will hire you at 15 unless they're desperate for work. I know being in the middle of August, there isn't much chance to get a summer job, but I'm looking for a job all year round. I actually have two questions: 1. Is there a greater/better chance of me getting a job once I turn 16? 2. Is it bad for me not to get a job at 15? I always worry because most people I know who are 15 have jobs (they don't work many hours). Thats another thing. It pisses me off seeing someone get a job by asking. If they tried before and failed then I'm fine with it, but I'm talking about someone who never tried, and figures they should ask someone to do it for them. People who don't feel like applying, and just want to get in the easy way. I hate people like that! Because people who've been trying and failing deserve jobs more than the person who just wants someone to do it for them. ARGH!!! Also: Don't say work online, or any fast food places. Try to mention either grocery stores, or department stores. Typical restaurants are fine, but no fast food. more

Resolved Question: Know anything that might help?

I want to get a job when I turn 14 soon. I don't know many places that hire at 14 (all I know is Taco Bell, McDonalds, and Baskin Robbins). Would it be up to the store manager to decide wether or not to hire someone? I really wanna work at Best Buy, but you can't apply online until you're 16. I know a lot about all of the technology they have there (I could literally work in ANY department there). Anybody got any tips to get hired? more

Resolved Question: Why are men's pant sizes so much more organized than women's?

I get so irritated at the fact that when I go shopping, I can vary in size from store to store, brand to brand, but when I buy pants for my husband, he doesn't even have to try them on because men's sizes are based on the actual inches of the waist band. WHY on earth don't manufacturer's of women's clothing do the same thing? I know they'd get more business from me! Shopping wouldn't be as frustrating in the store, and I would buy more online. As it stands now, I don't buy clothing from department stores' websites because if I buy it and it doesn't fit, I still have to pay shipping at most places. But I can buy pants for my husband online and it's a sure fit. Why can't they just make it easy and size women's clothing by the inches of the waistband too????? more

Resolved Question: Stores that I can find shoes like these?

I really love these shoes, but not so much that they're online. Do you know any stores where I can find these shoes for preferably $50 or less? I'm going school shopping in a week at a mall with stores like Charlotte Russe, American Eagle, Forever 21, department stores like Nordstrom and Macy's, and more than enough shoe stores. If there's actually no stores that you know would have these shoes, I'll just have to check at all the shoe stores, hah. Please&&Thanks! :) http://www.famousfootwear.com/Shopping/ProductDetails.aspx?p=91156&pg=1021607 more

Resolved Question: Rutgers textbook lookup?

I do not have any idea how to find my textbooks at Rutgers. I am enrolled as a grad student in the fall in the MSW program. I have signed up for my courses and this online textbook search just makes absolutely no sense to me. I went to the website-- http://newark-rutgers.bncollege.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/TBWizardView?catalogId=10001&storeId=30058&langId=-1 After selecting FALL 2010 for term, the rest of the lines just give me a jumble of number. The department does not have a NUMBER to my knowledge, nor do the classes I've signed up for. If anyone else goes to or has gone to Rutgers and can give me seriously specific instructions for doing this it'd be appreciated. I even tried going back to the site where I signed up for classes and this just makes noooo sense to me. No numbers there either. Please help!!!whoops wrong website-- http://rutgers.bncollege.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/TBWizardView?catalogId=10001&storeId=58552&langId=-1 more

Voting Question: Where to buy Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Perfume?

I feel in love with this scent but ouch didn't like the department store $85 pricetag. I've been looking around online for a better bargin, but I'm weary as reviews here and there complain about getting fakes or the scent not lasting long. Like when I pulled it up on Amazon, there were multiple reviews seemingly from tons of different sellers which confused me as I had thought you'd simply buy the product and amazon sent the same one to everyone. Any sellers/places online that someone can recommend to me that you've had good luck with? Also I notice they all say EDT, the eue de toilet or something like that. Do they even make a regular straight up Perfume or are they all the EDT? And what's the difference really? more

Resolved Question: How old is too old for the junior's department?

What department do 22 or 23 yr old girls usually shop in for clothes? I am 22 and most of the clothes I like are in the juniors department. I am a college student, and I'm trying to find some good outfits for the fall semester that are not too young or old for my age. It just seems that I am in between the juniors and misses departments. I look young for my age, but some of my relatives make me fell like i'm getting too old to shop in the junior's department. At what age do girls usually stop shopping in the juniors department and start buying "women's" or "misses" clothing? Also, does anyone know of any online clothing stores that carry clothes that would look right for my age group? Thanks for any answers! more

Voting Question: Job help and advice for teen?

I will be 16 in a couple of months. I already have a job babysitting for my aunt but when school starts back i will need another job since i babysit in the morning. I would like to already have a job for when school starts back before school actually starts back. Can you apply somewhere that hires 16 year olds right before you turn 16? If so are they still likely to hire you? What are some things you can do to make yourself more likely to get the job? I really need a real job to buy things i want my aunt only pays me 20 dollars a day to babysit for 12 hours. I really wanna start saving up money for college and maybe a car. I can't really get money from my parents and i like to be as independent as i can at my age, I have asked many questions about how to look for jobs online in my area(LaGrange, Georgia) but i just get comments about getting an online job (which i don't want!) or comments that don't help me at all or that have absolutely nothing to do with the question. People have also told me to look at snagajob.com which doesn't help me very much. I would love to work somewhere at the mall maybe or some kind of department store. I don't really wanna work at a food place but will if i had no other option. I really need as much help and advice any one can give please help!I also have a work permit. Can that help me? more
