My boyfriend, daughter, and I currently live in a two bedroom apartment. My boyfriend works full time at an okay job, he is currently taking some online college courses to get a better degree. I am starting cosmetology school next Tuesday. My school is monday through friday from 9-5, because of this I am choosing not to work so I can still spend some time with my daughter. It will take me 13 months to finish school. I know that my boyfriend will be able to pay rent, get groceries, pay for daycare, we will just have to cut back on eating out, shopping, and he will not be able to put very much of his paycheck in savings. so, here is my question... Should we continue living in the apartment while I am going to school or should we move back in with his parents (they have a large house that we have been invited to stay at while I attend school) We would not have to pay rent, we would have to pay very little in groceries, We are getting married in sept 2011 and would love to buy a house around then too. So, should we move back in with his parents for a year to save for our wedding and a house? or should we keep living on our own being independent? this all sounds kind of silly after writing it, we should probably save money huh? what do you think? more

Hi I'm looking to buy a bike, mainly for the purpose of getting around my college campus. It has mostly paved roads and brick roads. I'm not sure what kind of bike to get. I understand that mountain bikes are probably best for doing ly.everything, including trails, which I do go on occasionally. My biggest question is if a road bike would be a good option. I'm not really sure what a road bike is, but from what I know it has a lighter frame, and thinner wheels? Do these thinner wheels get punctured easily/ need more of a maintenance? I'm just looking for something light and small and comfortable to go around in. (Cruisers look comfy, but are a little more chunky/ heavy then I would like) I'm looking at ads on craigslist etc. Is there anything I should be aware of while shopping online? This was online only. Original price for the pants I bought was $98.50, with 40% off and free shipping (since I spend more than $50, shipping is free) came to $64 with tax. This is a slim fit, made from wool and is tailored. I definitely wanted the slim fit. I know you can get dress pants for $35 from Macy's, with a brand like maybe Alfani, but I've noticed at Macy's designer pants like Kenneth Cole, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren, dress pants usually cost around at least $55. So I'm guessing the deal I got is good? It might be slightly high, since prices in BR never are on sale, I think the deal is good. Should get the pants within about 2 weeks time. more

Open Question: Septum piercing tips?

I'm going to do it myself either way so please do not flame or tell me not to because I know the dangers and consistences of doing it, thank you. Since that is out of the way now, I'm going to pierce my septum myself because 1, I'm under aged and I cannot get pierced without a parents consent 2, my mother totally hates facial piercings and won't allow me to get one done. Hi, Im 14. My brother is 19. Ever since he was around 15/16 i've gotten so close with him. Every time saw him i was his shadow. I followed him everywhere. My dad sometimes likes his girlfriends company. So on a friday (my dad's only day with me) He goes off with his girlfriend leaving me and my brother to ourselves. He was diagnosed with Asbergus Syndrome when he was 11. He was in hospital twice for a reason i can't bear to say over the internet. It wasn't a illness though, he did it to himself. Ever since he's been around 17, he moved into my dad's house. Me and my mom were lucky if we saw him 2 times a week. Then it grew less and less. I always saw him on a friday at dad's but for a while earlier this year i stopped coming. He came back to my moms on Tuesday Night. (He's usually horrible to us. He likes to drink, i think he gets hangovers and because he's got asbergus, he don't get much sleep) He was lovely to us. Last friday at my dad's they all went to the pub. Im used to that now. They do like to drink. I don't. Im not like that person. Everyone was playing pool with my brother until he sat down with my dad's girlfriends daughter talking. (she knows his friends ect) Then they all moved away. My dad went off a ditched us so me and my brother were left. I don't know if it was the whiskys he was drinking, but he really confided in me. I felt closer to him that i did in a long time. Then i went to bed. He went on the computer til 4 in the morning. I didn't see him then until Tuesday. On wednesday he even came round our grandma's. He think she's crazy because she has a mental illness. She can't see us because she's sensitive to smells. (she thinks she is) But my grandad is very ill in hospital and she needs shopping and grandad needs things from home. My grandad has been in hospital for 2 weeks. I've been everyday to the hospital but my brother has only been once. Fair enough my brother has been ill. He always is. He has 2 dislocated knee caps. Broken 7 ribs. Broken his foot. But my brother still walks. He takes pain killers, that's something amazing. Im proud of him for what ever he succeeds at. He got good grades at school. He made some very close friends. He sent my mom a text this morning saying that he felt estranged from us. His close friend has moved away. His friend who is like a brother to him as i am a sister is moving. They are his only friends now. He lost the others because of my dad's girlfriend's daughter. He's worried about grandad. ( I went to the hospital yesterday. My mom keeps looking up online educating herself and after the condition my grandad has they say he has 5 years to live) My grandad realised that yesterday and when we were about to leave, he started to cry. It broke my heart and im not close to my grandad. He said that he needs help and he misses me and my mom and his only friends are going away. Im worried what do i do?my dad works nights, so he wasn't there this morning when he sent the text to my mom. The text was at 3 in the morning. We were all fast asleep. My mom asked my dad is he was alright because it was late getting back but he said that he spoke to him and they're having lunch and talking about it later. My mom has invited herself. She's more bothered about my brother. She's been through most with him. But My family are alcoholics. My mom's side(im always with this side) don't drink. Only a few a year, they aren't botherd. My brother and my dad are like camels. Drinking alcohol all the time. The once it added up to around 55 cans of alcohol and 2 glasses of wine inbetween 3. That's a lot more

Open Question: 2005 ford Escape, no start at first, now has no power and is misfiring?

We took it to a local shop and the computer read that two coil packs were bad and we have an inake leak. The car is not drivable because it has no power. I was reading about this problem online and alot of the same cars with the same issues need a new computer. How can i tell if that is something that we need. If we needed a new computer would it have showed up that 2 coil packs were bad? The guy took out one of the bad coil packs and there was no change but when he took out a good one there was a change. The only light that is on is the check engine light and it is steadly on. I also was told that if it was the computer all of my lights would be on. Is that true? I dont know what we should do go to the dealer or local shop? I think the local shop would be cheaper but is it the best? If we change out the coils and that does not fix the problem and it is the computer will we have to buy more coils and a new computer? Any help please it is looking like a lot of money that we just dont have right now. But i want my car fixed right. Also, the car was running fine 8 hours eariler and then i go out to take my kids to school and it would crank but die with in a few seconds. My husband came home and got it to run but now it is skipping( i guess because of the bad coils). I just really wanted to know if it could still be the computer? Will the dealship be able to tell me right away that the computer is bad?My husband changed the one coil pack that was bad on the front and there was no change. My boyfriend is 19 and I'm 18. We're both in college and have been dating for over a year and a half. His mother has never liked and seems to think I'm trying to replace her in his life. The boyfriend and I went on several weekend trips this summer, which given that he's 19 shouldn't be a huge deal. His Momma wasn't pleased with the idea, but she eventually gave in and let it go. We figured that maybe she was finally realizing that he's growing up and away, like all children are supposed to. However, with back to school looming, the leash is getting shorter and shorter. It all started the other night: His whole family was at a family friend's house. I'm generally invited when they go because I'm good friends with the family friend's sons. Wow, that's a confusing sentence. Anyway, Momma got a little tipsy and started spouting off about "biotches who steal sons away from their parents and never let them talk to them again." She said she wished she had a daughter (she has two sons, BF is the older) because "a daughter is a daughter for life, a son is a son until he chooses a wife" and how "girlfriends never realize that it's the mother who raised them and she just gets to reap the benefits." This was all in front of me, I was sitting right next to her at the table. It all seemed quite pointed, given that I'm BF's first girlfriend and his younger brother has yet to have one. Just today, Boyfriend let her know that he was going to the mall with me to pick out some new clothes for school. She began to make an issue out of how the clothes we buy together never seem to fit him. The only clothes we have ever bought together are a pair of nice khaki Dockers that are, as far as I can tell, the best fitting pants he has. Then she went on about how I spend money carelessly and make him spend more that he should. His father asked him why he couldn't just go shopping with his mother, and he responded by asking why he couldn't just go with me. His dad said "Because your mother is paying" and BF responded "Well, then I can just pay." He told them we had dinner plans and he had to leave. When we got back tonight, he told her he didn't buy anything, just tried things one, because we could get better discounts online. She asked where he was buying from, and he told her American Eagle. She's strictly a Kohl's/Walmart person. She rolled her eyes and said something about how it was too expensive, especially with shipping. I let her know that they had a promotion where if you spent $75+ you got free shipping, that the clothes were buy 1 get 1 half off, and we had a 20% off coupon on top of it. She just responded "And what can you get for $75 from there? Jean and a T-shirt? I want to see these clothes before you order them." Not that it should matter, but he's getting 2 pairs of jeans, 2 t-shirts, 2 polos, and a formal button-up for $123, which seems more than reasonable to both of us, especially if he's spending his own money. Honestly, in the past few weeks she's gotten even more overbearing and possessive, referring to him as "my son" constantly. We head back to college on Friday, and I'm counting the minutes. I just don't know what to do about her anymore? He's going to be 20 in a month, and she's only pushing him away and making his frustrated with all the babying she's doing. Is there any way I can tell her that she's pushing him away without risking even more of her ire? more

Open Question: Need Help with Cyberlink PowerDirector and Kworld Video Capturing Device?

Hi. Can you help my little brother solve his problem with Cyberlink PowerDirector? Thanks! "I have a video capturing device that I'm trying to use to record gameplay footage in good quality so that I can post it online. The device I'm using is the Kworld DVD Maker. When you use the display screen, you turn the console on and start playing the game on full-screen on the computer monitor. When I first got the device, I got a software disc that gave me a video recording software called Cyberlink PowerDirector Version 5. It has worked reliably with good quality up until recently, when the quality began to get messy for some as of yet unknown. Basically, the recording screen (in Cyberlink PowerDirector) is pixelated and messy, and when I record, the video is minimized (it's surrounded by a black box) and in bad quality. We've speculated that the problem may not be Cyberlink PowerDirector, but the device. The device doesn't actually run through the computer; it shows up on the monitor when you connect a video game console to the device, but apparently does not go through the computer. The whole mess is technical and confusing. I was just wondering if someone has had a similar problem with either the video capturing device or Cyberlink PowerDirector, or at least recognizes the kind of problem, and knows a solution to the problem. i love road biking and love going fast! but as soon as i get a flat i am doomed because i just can't do the install of a new tube and all that. on a mountain bike sure its easy but on a road bike its definitely more difficult i screwed up my hand once trying to replace it. anyways i went to bike shop today and guy recommended to me either get MEGA TUBE which is a lot thicker than ur normal bike tube or get mr tuffys tire liner. OR get BOTH and my tires will be bulletproof! lol. anyways it sounds good since a flat tire is my worst enemy but i read around online that it kinda weighs the bike down? will i really go that much slower? is it worth it? tell me ur thoughts/experiences/etc i wanna hear from you guys! more

So I met this guy online, we sent messages to each other for a while and then we started talking on the phone. After he asked me if we could meet face to face, so we went to this coffee shop, and we talked for more than two hours, he was asking me a lot of questions and he seemed very interested in knowing me better. After, he even walked me back to my car. He was very sweet and seemed nice and happy . I thought this first date went very well. So this happened 4 days ago. Age: 19 Height: 5.6ft Weight: 9 stone It is recommend for my size to weight about 10.3 stone - I don't want to get such weight because it is recommended for my height (I know I may still be growing, not for much longer tho) I want to get this weight, because I don't feel well when I see myself in the mirror at times and it is really hard for me to gain weight, always been a skinny guy, its my structure. Skinny arms and legs, and my ribs are so visible - It just upsets me at times really =( I do some gym and try eat as many calories a day as possible and I like fruit, such as bananas because they are rich in protein - I normally have 2 bananas and whole milk mixed together, blend it and have it for breakfast, with some cereals or coffee later on. Like most people, I have 3 meals a day too, but I can never eat much - I kinda get to the bit where I feel well, not to where you completely full. Cant do it, and since I have constipation - It becomes real hard at times with the intestines... (Talk about imperfection) I have a lot of fibre in my diet, since it helps with this problem. I cant stand fat food, such as bacon, pork, lamb, and all them kind of foods that have massive amounts of fat in it. So it is really hard with all this to gain proper weight... So, I'm trying to put on weight with a supplement because I believe it works, but I want to buy something good - Because of what I've heard, these supplements later in life can give you health problems and was told to buy something good and that is not too bad for your health... Overall it is a bit confusing for me. So I'm asking help for someone who has experience or knows well about health what would recommend to me. (Please, don't tell me to eat more than usual, because it is what my doctor told me already, but it isn't easy for a guy like me to eat so much) I need a good answer please, don't just answer the question on title - I'd like someone to take the time to read the info... I love clothes that run in these veins, and can usually afford to spring for items that sell in each of these stores. Lately, however, I've become more politically aware of causes UO supports or at least donates to, and of scandals surrounding AA's CEO, not to mention the fact that they're now a penny stock. Can you recommend any similar stores with better management and perhaps lower prices? I may still shop a little at each store (especially if AA goes out of business soon, the sales will be "killer"), but would like to have some other pieces to mix in.
