Open Question: what are the possible team building games and activities? any site for this one?
can you suggest? many thanks :) moreOpen Question: Confused... Depressed... Any advice?
I'm kind of at a loss these days... I feel like every time I start making personal progress with myself, I tear myself back down. I just got back from Hawaii, had a great vacation out there, went with a guy friend of mine that I've always had a secret crush on. He's straight so I'm not dumb enough to make a move on it or anything, and I'm kind of involved with a girl right now anyway (not dating but we're intimate frequently) I have experimented with homosexuality in the past (dated a guy for 2 years) but he's the only guy I've ever done anything with. I've been with plenty of women through the years, and dated 3 or 4 in long term relationships. I find my self constantly questioning myself, my sexuality, and my values in life. I don't know what my deal is, I have plenty of potential and I've built myself up from nothing since childhood. My family is poor and uneducated, kinda goes hand in hand with growing up in redneck South Carolina. But I'm fairly intelligent, I'm trilingual, in good shape, relatively good looking, have plenty of hobbies, a lot of friends, and a good job. But it seems like no matter what I do I'm not happy with myself. Sleep is an issue for me too, not that i have nightmares in the sense that I'm frightened, but my dreams are often times disturbing. Whether because of violence that I or my 'character' (so to speak) perpetrates or this odd recurring dream that I've had for years, since childhood. If not the dreams then I lie in bed for hours often until the first hints of dawn are creeping over the horizon before I finally succumb to the waiting, yet elusive clutches of sleep. I dated a guy, and found myself fantisizing about women. I date women and find myself fantasizing about men. I get a good job and wish I did something else for a living. I do all these activities, camping, mountain climbing, surfing, going clubbing, video games, disk golf, and am on a local kickball team. I try and keep myself active and socialize and have fun. But even on the best of days for me, I find myself looking in the mirror when I get home and wishing I were somebody else, or even more often, wishing I was no one at all. That I could just go to sleep and never ever wake back up again. Sometimes I question the importance of anything at all, especially myself. moreOpen Question: Any fun team building activities/ice breakers for a department leisure trip?
I'm organizing a leisure trip for my department at work, approximately 35 people, for team building purposes. Can anyone suggest any fun activities and games? moreVoting Question: Dance Team, team building activities!?
So I'm auditioning to be a dance officer for next year, and we're supposed to come up with ideas. I personally would really like to focus on bringing the team even closer together as a family, and making everyone feel really loved and welcome. I already have a lot of ideas, like a sleepover and such, but they want us to come up with over 21 new ideas, so I thought I'd see if anyone in the huge world wide web has more experience or better ideas. Also fundraiser ideas, cute show themes or anything that you have done or seen done with dance/drill teams that really improved the team as a whole would be greatly appreciated! :) thanks moreResolved Question: Atheists, did you know about "the god module"? It was discovered in 1997!!!?
"SCIENTISTS believe they have discovered a "God module" in the brain which could be responsible for man's evolutionary instinct to believe in religion. A study of epileptics who are known to have profoundly spiritual experiences has located a circuit of nerves in the front of the brain which appears to become electrically active when they think about God. The scientists said that although the research and its conclusions are preliminary, initial results suggest that the phenomenon of religious belief is "hard-wired" into the brain. Epileptic patients who suffer from seizures of the brain's frontal lobe said they frequently experience intense mystical episodes and often become obsessed with religious spirituality. A team of neuroscientists from the University of California at San Diego said the most intriguing explanation is that the seizure causes an overstimulation of the nerves in a part of the brain dubbed the "God module". "There may be dedicated neural machinery in the temporal lobes concerned with religion. This may have evolved to impose order and stability on society," the team reported at a conference last week. The results indicate that whether a person believes in a religion or even in God may depend on how enhanced is this part of the brain's electrical circuitry, the scientists said. Dr Vilayanur Ramachandran, head of the research team, said the study involved comparing epileptic patients with normal people and a group who said they were intensely religious. Electrical monitors on their skin a standard test for activity in the brain's temporal lobes showed that the epileptics and the deeply religious displayed a similar response when shown words invoking spiritual belief. Evolutionary scientists have suggested that belief in God, which is a common trait found in human societies around the world and throughout history, may be built into the brain's complex electrical circuitry as a Darwinian adaptation to encourage co-operation between individuals. If the research is correct and a "God module" exists, then it might suggest that individuals who are atheists could have a differently configured neural circuit. "Having a god spot in our brain does not mean that god does exist. moreVoting Question: All you Buddhists, globalist "live in harmony" drones, and humanists, is this what you had in mind?
In January of this year, President Barrack Obama, the professed “leader” of the free world, signed Executive Order 13528. This order, which establishes a “Council of Governors,” these appointed directly by the president, is for the expressed purpose of building a national/domestic police partnership. The opening statement of this order reads: “By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including section 1822 of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2008 (Public Law 110-181), and in order to strengthen further the partnership between the Federal Government and State governments to protect our Nation and its people and property,” it is hereby ordered as follows: This executive order was issued for one purpose only, and that is to build a “legal” partnership between the federal government’s national military force and the domestic police state so that they become one and the same. But in reality, this “partnership” would be controlled by the executive branch of the federal government; this being the most dangerous kind of fascism. Nothing could be more treacherous or more of a threat to liberty than for one man, the president of this now “United State,” to have the power to control and use in domestic matters the entire federal military, the National Guard, the Reserves, the Coast Guard and all state police organizations. This would effectively give the president the power to establish Martial Law over the entire country at any given time of his choosing. One reading of Section 2 of this order which outlines the functions should be enough to scare the living daylights out of even the most strident supporter of government. It says: Sec. 2. Functions. The Council shall meet at the call of the Secretary of Defense or the Co-Chairs of the Council to exchange views, information, or advice with the Secretary of Defense; the Secretary of Homeland Security; the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism; the Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement; the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Americas' Security Affairs; the Commander, United States Northern Command; the Chief, National Guard Bureau; the Commandant of the Coast Guard; and other appropriate officials of the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense, and appropriate officials of other executive departments or agencies as may be designated by the Secretary of Defense or the Secretary of Homeland Security. Such views, information, or advice shall concern: (a) matters involving the National Guard of the various States; (b) homeland defense; (c) civil support; (d) synchronization and integration of State and Federal military activities in the United States; and (e) other matters of mutual interest pertaining to National Guard, homeland defense, and civil support activities. Besides the fact that virtually every major agency of force, both federal and domestic, is listed here, the one standout is the inclusion of the United States Northern Command or “NORTHCOM.” On October 1st, 2008, the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team, an elite combat squad returning from Iraq, became the first active-duty military unit to be dedicated and deployed for domestic duties. They are under direct control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of NORTHCOM. In addition, 20,000 more federal troops are to be added before 2011. Of course, this violates the Posse Comitatus Act and the original Insurrection Act; those two acts that forbid the federal government from using the military for domestic law enforcement, but since when has the constitution or written law ever stopped this out-of-control government from doing as it pleases? Any restriction on the use of federal troops in domestic affairs however, has now basically been rendered moot. That is due to new wording in the Insurrection Act that allows for federal intervention in cases of “natural disaster, epidemic, or other serious public health emergency, terrorist attack or incident, or other condition.” This is simply an open-ended invitation for the feds to be able to implement Martial Law any time and any place and for any reason they choose. moreResolved Question: give a name of my company?
the work of the company will be 1. Adventure Trip arrange 2. outdoor skill development 3.arranging outdoor event 4. Team Building activity moreResolved Question: Which summer camp would you rather go to?
If you're too old for summer camp, which one would you be a counselor at or send your kid to? Camp 1: Lasts 5 days and owns 1000 acres of land. No electronics allowed-the only electricity the kids would have access to the whole week would be light switches and flashlights. The camp would be in a state park somewhere-so basically it's a large clearing in a forest, and the activities would consist of partially games in the woods, as well as arts and crafts, orienteering, (Proper use of maps and compasses) foxfire (how to build fires and such) horseback riding, and once that week they would go to a beach on a lake. They would do a lot of outside things that week, and the things they did inside would be productive. There would be a dance in the dining hall at the end of the week. Camp 2: Would last 2 weeks and own even more land than camp 1-about 1200 acres. Some electronics would be allowed-you could bring your ipod and stuff but you couldn't bring it to activities, because stuff gets lost or stolen like that. They still wouldn't watch TV, and this one would also be in the woods, but they'd do less woodsy stuff. The activities would be more team building things, (trust falls, or another activity would be to lay a 2 by 4 board across a couple of cinder blocks, split the cabin in half and have one team stand on one end and have the other stand on the other end, and they would have to get their team down to the opposite end without touching the ground etc. etc.) There would be things like a zip line and blob (blob is when you have one person sitting on a big blow up blob thing and one person sat on it while several people jumped on the other side, causing the person on the other end to go flying) and several different kinds of boating, like canoeing, kayaking and sailing. This would be in mountainous territory so there would also be hiking. Camp 3: Lasts all summer. Electronics are allowed. This camp would only own about 640 acres (one square mile) Because it would be more inside stuff. It would be almost like a camp for those of you who do not like to get dirty. The outdoor activities would be swimming and non-muddy sports, the ones played on a court like basketball and tennis and rollerblading.) Inside would be arts and crafts, cooking, you could learn skills such as child care or salesmanship but you would have fun doing it, and the oldest kids at the camp would ba allowed to take part in a counselor for a day program, where they get to work in the kitchen, help with campers and stuff like that. This one would also have a dance at the end of the session, Which camp would you like to go to, and why? For me, camp 2. moreResolved Question: sports participants interview please read?

I walk into the cramped, crowded and bright cabin and I'm immediately intoxicated with the smell of cheap perfume and bug spray. The peppy cries of camp cheers and fake smiles of camp counselors are giving me a headache. I hold my heavy Adidas sports bag over my shoulder and uncomfortably shift from foot to foot, not wanting to look up. I finally tilt my head upwards and see a dorky looking Girl with a bad perm and way too many friendship bracelets staring at me. "Hi! My name is Jenny. I'm your camp counselor!" She gushes, flashing me a crooked smile. She seems nice enough, but fake. I can see right through people, and she is being nice because she has to be, not because she necessarily wants to be. "Oh, um, hi. My name is Juliana." I unsurely murmur, and I'm getting butterflies. Not the happy kind you get when you're about to go on stage during your school play or when you see the cute guy you like, the nauseating kind you get when you're about to do something you dont want to do. "That's great! Why don't you go find a bunk bed. They're going fast so choose one asap! Then we're going to go do team building activities and play soccer." Jenny says, flashing me another one of her ugly-toothed grins. I get a tinge of guilt for being shallow, but I ignore it. I'm not here because I want to be, so why should I be happy about it? Ignoring Jenny, I put my bag on a lower bunk, and start to unpack. Everyone seems to be cliquing up except for me, exchaning how-was-your-years and i'm-so-excited-to-play-volleyball-and-swim-in-the-lakes. After an endless string of bad news, perhaps, the auto industry was not dead yet. On paper it looked like a good deal for everyone. Fiat would return to the US market and sell its popular 500 (Cinquecentro), Chrysler would acquire a line of cars that consumers might actually buy, and tens of thousands of workers would keep their jobs. But the real prize might just be Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat and now CEO of FiatChrysler. When he first became CEO of Fiat in 2004, Marchionne inherited a company on the brink of failure. It manufactured a lackluster product line and had suffered more than $12 billion in losses over the previous five years. To transform the company he embarked on several strategic and operational projects. He fired senior managers, upended a bloated bureaucracy, and brought a team of young aggressive managers on board. Then, he reviewed all projects and killed those that could not pass the market test. And he hired new designers, and demanded a portfolio of exciting projects that would bring customers back to dealer showrooms. In less than three years he succeeded in one of the most impressive turnarounds in automotive history. Now, as part of his plan to grow Fiat into a global compe moreResolved Question: Do you think this is fair faith leaders say illegal immigrants living in the US is not a crime?
Syracuse, NY -- The civil rights team of the Alliance of Communities Transforming Syracuse plans a prayer vigil Tuesday to urge Sen. Charles E. Schumer to pursue “compassionate, comprehensive immigration reform.” Participants at the vigil, scheduled for noon Tuesday at the James M. Hanley Federal Building, will ask Schumer to seek reforms that will keep families together, support worker rights and open a path so that 12 million illegal immigrants the group says is now living in the United States can seek citizenship without admitting to a crime for being undocumented. Such reforms also should emphasize law enforcement activities “that focus on true threats to national security and public safety,” ACTS officials said in a news release. The group will recommend House Resolution 4321 , which includes those principles, during a visit to Schumer’s office after the vigil, said Mike Hungerford, speaking for ACTS’ Civil Rights for Immigrants Team. Schumer, D-NY and chair of the Senate Immigration subcommittee, advocates reforms that would tighten borders, turn the flow of illegal immigration to legal entry, discourage employment of illegal aliens, and require them to quickly register with the government and begin seeking legal status and citizenship..http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2010/02/interfaith_group_acts_syracuse.html Do you think this is fair faith leaders ask illegal immigrants the group says is now living in the United States can seek citizenship without admitting to a crime for being undocumented ? moreResolved Question: How good of a college could I get into with these scores/rank/activities?

Nothing wrong with the American people getting a win. How about the minority opposition party leading by example from the rear? The Tea Party people have been screaming about transparency, yet it is not part of any ‘Purity Test’ or principles or platform of theirs. Demonstrate to the American people what transparency is and what it can be. Walk the talk. All those screeching for more transparency than introduced so far should demand it from the areas they control and use that example to promote the transparency agenda. Much stronger & more positive action than Sarah Palin prohibiting the press from her events/speeches. -E-mails from the Palin administration are being withheld from the public and the governor is citing executive privilege," reported Alaska TV station KTUU -Wrote the Anchorage Daily News, "Palin promised her pipeline contract negotiations would be open and transparent -- although the meetings starting today won't be…" -“She’s also been criticized by the local semiweekly newspaper for a new policy requiring department heads to get the mayor’s approval before talking to reporters," the Anchorage Daily News noted. The current administration has started with some good steps towards transparency, but it’s not there yet. Let the opposition set the tone – lead by example – benefit the American people – audition for their jobs – validate their complaints. Earn those cush salaries while many America’s wish for jibs so they could WORK! You know, walk some of that personal responsibility talk by setting the tone, instead of just hypocritical carping. And it doesn’t even involve a felony. If doing the right thing, or serving in a positive way offends their sensibilities they could think of it as ‘shaming’ the current administration into even more transparency or building an election argument based on action rather than lies. And the worst that could happen – a win for the American people – delivered by….. What do ya think? Senator Obama – doing transparency before transparency was cool - & before Tea Pots had spouts. When will the Tea Party begin with the transparency? Or even suggest it to their leaders? Maybe even get transparent on their funding by lobbyists? Maybe even more transparent than ….the ‘C’ Street Family! Or James O’Keefe. Now that might be found credible. moreVoting Question: Opinion on writing piece please?
I have to do a writing piece for school called what prejudice means to me and need opinions on my paper... enjoy! or not i guess..... What Prejudice Means to Me In the society that we live in now, prejudice seems outdated and faraway. In reality, this is not the case. Some people still judge others before really getting to know them based on a disability they may have or even their physical appearance. For instance, a person could be judged on the color of their skin. Though all variations of skin color are widely accepted nowadays, there are still people who do not share this acceptance. All degrees of this are wrong and show how awful it is to think this way. When my mother was in high school, she loved to run. There was a track team at her school, but only boys were on it. Shortly before this problem came up, a law called Title IX was passed that stated "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance...." When she demanded that she be put on the team, the track coach could not deny her of the privilege. Because my mother was the only female on the team, the coach forgot to let her into the showers or include her in meetings sometimes, but she hung on. The next year, her school hired a track coach for the girl’s team (she happened to be the male coach’s wife), and many more girls joined the team. This is the story of one women’s perseverance. “Let us all hope that the dark clouds of racial prejudice will soon pass away, and that in some not too distant tomorrow the radiant stars of love and brotherhood will shine over our great nation with all their scintillating beauty.” - Martin Luther King Jr. This quote from Martin Luther King Jr. is not only truly inspiring but also downright true. Director of the Program xx KTH December 18, 2009 Dear Sir or Madam: I have been at my last year of school at American University in Bulgaria, with a major of Business Administration. During my studies majority of the courses were focused on the main challenges and concerns related to the successful global functioning of organizations, critical skills needed to properly start and manage ventures and analytical tools and models used in problem solving. My undergraduate education at American University in Bulgaria has not only given me a certain set of valuable skills but has also helped me to understand my academic strengths and weaknesses and my fields of interest. While taking a course of Marketing I received a deep insight into creating, developing and assessing projects. Besides studying the theory, I had to create a product which would be innovative and successful on global market, evaluating all the advantages of disadvantages in terms of cultural aspects, geographical location, customer demand in particular region and many other crucial factors which help to determine the successful realization of the product. Operational Supply Management was the other useful courses where I acquired the necessary skills to start and manage projects following the key management concept of planning, organizing , leading and controlling. My study abroad experience at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky has given me additional knowledge in my field and has made my communication skills more effective. Taking such courses as Management Science and Management helped me to understand how important it is for the company to be more innovative and entrepreneurial. I acquired necessary skills of how these invention can properly function, how they can be managed and how they can be realized within specific organization. In addition to that, frequent work in groups for creating a project have built good team work understanding and involvement I believe that possession of such critical skills an effective communication, creativity and collaboration can qualify me as a candidate to your program. I am someone who is able to learn quickly and adapt to new environments and perform under pressure. I love to be challenged, to explore new ideas, I am always eager to learn and engage in several activities, which helps me to manage my time more efficiently and be more productive. Furthermore, studying in American University in Bulgaria gave me sufficient amount of quantitative knowledge and assisted in developing my analytical thinking skills needed to properly analyze and assess innovative projects. After completing the Master`s Programme my goal is to start my career in one of the innovative companies, where I will be able to utilize my practical and theoretical knowledge to attain the prosperity of organization. With education in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, I will gain a relevant knowledge of innovation and entrepreneurship combined with strong real world experience that will help me to build my further development as innovation leader and provide with a basis for the start-up of my own business venture . The 1st Stadium to host a Super Bowl in cold weather(Without a roof of course) Youe thoughts on this & do you think it will happen?-> Jets, Giants want new home to host 2014 Super Bowl EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP)—The Giants and Jets want to bring the Super Bowl to their new stadium in New Jersey in 2014. After receiving approval from a league committee to bid on an NFL title game, the teams announced on Thursday that they will submit a proposal to host what would be a cold weather title game in four years. The new 82,500-seat stadium is scheduled to open next year. The NFL owners’ Super Bowl Advisory Committee allowed the bid despite the traditional requirement that host regions have a minimum temperature of 50 degrees or indoor stadiums. The advisory committee gave approval with the understanding that the bid represents a unique, once-only circumstance to celebrate the new stadium and the great heritage of the NFL in the New York region. The New Meadowlands Stadium Company, which is building the new stadium, has to submit a preliminary proposal to the NFL by April 1. The winning bid will be announced at the end of May. “It’s time for the biggest game in football to be played on the biggest stage in the world,” Jets owner Woody Johnson and Giants co-owner Jonathan Tisch said in a joint statement as chairmen of the bid committee. “We are confident that the appeal and prestige of the New York City metropolitan region, coupled with the innovative capabilities of our brand-new state-of-the-art facility, can provide a unique and exciting experience for the teams and fans, as well as the entire league and the sport of football. “And, of course, we would love to bring the Super Bowl and its significant economic benefits to New York and northern New Jersey,” they added. A New York/New Jersey Super Bowl would generate hundreds of millions of dollars in economic activity, and serve as a major boost for the area, creating hundreds of jobs related to staging the game, the teams said. So my AP Microeconomics teacher spreads so much bull that I sometimes get allergic and have to sneeze. At the beginning of the year, he told us that was a sub 4 mile runner which was good enough to make on the U.S. Olympic Team but he had to go to Vietnam instead. In Vietnam, he got shot 9 times and once in his forehead but the bullet somehow ricocheted. Everyone in his squad was dead except for him. This guy was about to shoot him but my he (my teacher) took out an American Express card and told him that he will give him his money if he spared his life. As he reached for the card, he kicked off his knee cap and then grabbed his gun and shot him. A while later, he explained that what you wear matters a lot in business. He had a $3000 suit and he looked like he owned the building and then he walked out with a $10 million contract. After that he renovated a $1 million mansion and sold it for $10 million and he also owns about 7 houses which he sold for a profit when the prices went up. Anyways, his class his complete bull and everyone says the same after class ends. I fear that I will score a 1 and fail the AP exam just because he sucks at teaching. Today he gave us a quiz and we used the book/notes/partners and he gave us all of the answers and a bonus answer for extra points. He gives everyone 100s for useless activities and he completely disobeys the late policy at my school. I turned in a project that was over a month late and got full credit. We took a real test one day with questions that he pulled from college classes and the class average was an F, no one knew shit. Parker “Where is he?” Camera pans around a group of people standing in a hallway. The hallway is dimly lit. None look to happy. Cooper “Forty Five minuets late on the first day. Can’t be a good sign.” Today standing in the hallway of a building, stood James Fletcher’s new team. James was an interrogator, an expert in his line of study. He hand picked his own team of protégées, four, fine men and women. The only problem was, he was no where to be found. Duncan “Maybe he forgot.” Parker “I’m leaving if he is not here in 10 minuets.” Cooper digs in his pocket for his phone. “Does anyone have his number?” They all shake their heads no. Cooper “I heard he’s like, really old… maybe that’s why he is late.” Scott looks doubtfully at Cooper. “He is not a dinosaur.” Parker “Have you ever met him?” Scotts face is an obvious no. He looks worried. “No, Have you?” Parker frowns. “This could be bad.” The team stands quietly. Suddenly a man comes striding calmly down the hallway. His brown hair is cut short and bright blue eyes dance down the hallway, he’s tall and carries himself proudly. He flashes a smile at the team when he gets near. Fletcher “What did I miss?” Parker not realizing that his boss is standing in front of him. “Nothing. The old man isn’t here yet.” Fletcher “On the contrary, He is standing right in front of you.” Fletcher has dark blue jeans on, and a black stylish trench coat. He continues to stare at David Parker… waiting. Cooper speaks first. “You’re late.” Fletcher Sarcastic “Maybe you’re early.” Cooper pulls his eyebrows together. Fletcher grabs the metal door knob next to him and goes to open it. Scott. “Actually. My clock says you are exactly Fifty one minuets late.” He adjusts his wrist watch and looks proud of him self. Fletcher turns around and gives him an odd look. Fletcher “May I see it?” He holds out his hand, and Scott gives it to him. He turns over the electronic watch in his hands, looking at it carefully. Scott “It cost me a fortune! Not only can it tell time, it is a recorder, stop watch, and a compass.” Fletcher “Wow, mine doesn’t even work.” Doesn’t offer further explanation. Fletcher opens the door next to him and steps inside. The team follows him inside; a metal table is inside with five chairs around it is positioned in the middle of the room. The room is painted black with no windows but the two way glass. In the corner of the room a small desk with a wheelie chair, is pushed up against the wall. On the desk is a large stack of papers and small models of luxury cars. The team takes their places and stare up at Fletcher. Fletcher “So, what do you know about me?” Silence. Fletcher (Cond't) “What do you want to know about me?” Parker “Where did you graduate University?” Fletcher “I haven’t.” Parker “You’re joking.” Fletcher Sarcastic.
