Open Question: My cousin and most of my friends like my crush?

Warning: This is going to be very very long, so please, if you dont want to answer just leave thanks. [This is about my cousin] Me and my cousin go to the same school. (she came in this year, i was in this school last year). She came from this really really rich private school. I trusted her in everything, i told her everything too. But then whatever i do at school, she tells her mom (her mom and dad divorced), her mom tells my grandma and then my grandma tells my dad. she tells stuff like: I dont eat my lunch(cause i dont have the time to, but then i do when i get home) I buy other people lunch (They pay me back) I got told off at school (cause of her not doing her work and im the group leader) I really hate it cause everyone calls us 'the twins' (we look nothing alike). She always sticks with me and she keeps calling me fat, ugly, dandruff girl (she has wayyy more than me lmao) and other names. I sit next to my crush(my left) and she sits on my right. Everytime he talks to me she always goes like "Oh christina stop flirting...." or "ooooooooo Christina and -------" My cousin is better at everything compared to me, everyone compares us including our teacher. I think she's trying to get my jealous cause she always says stuff like "------ keeps staring at me, i feel so awkward" and "He talk to me!! OMFG OMFG OMFG" (btw my other friend says that my crush really hates her.... So what should i do with her? [This is about my FRIENDS] Yeah i know, my crush is very popular between asian girls in my class. 3 of my other friends like my crush. One keeps smiling and flirting with him by touching his hair, poking him, slapping him ont he back and laughing at EVERYTHING he says. One keeps looking at him no matter what he does and everytime she mentions his name...lol but i find it funny how we sit in a straight row. Its like this. Crush>me>cousin>friend A>Friend B. What should i do with my friends? Oh someone please help me...10 points :) more

Resolved Question: So what did you make of our "Prime Minister" in the Labour leader debate yesterday?

What an arrogant, clueless hypocrite David Milliband was!! Trying to mimmick Tony Blair in his voice and mannerisms, did not offer one constructive thing about how he would change the party for the better or the country. The only thing he rambled on about was I am Milliband, worship me, the Tories are bad, immigration rocks! and lets tax and SPEND!!!! Good God what the hell is he going to do once in number 10!!! If the guy was remotely like Tony Blair I could in someway accept him, but no, a patronising hypocrite who walks into number 10 purely because of the colour of his Rosette!!Yes he will, Once our coalition splits, Simon Hughes who god knows why he is a Lib Dem when he is clearly Labour takes over the Libs will straight away form a pact with Labour. The immigrants, dole dossers will all vote Labour. Rumour also has it, Milliband is to give Free membership to all Polish residents!! A good Million extra votes there!! more

Resolved Question: Can you tell "False" reality from "Fact"?

Edward Bernays, the American nephew of Sigmund Freud, is said to have invented modern propaganda. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Bernays During the First World War, he was one of a group of influential liberals who mounted a secret government campaign to persuade reluctant Americans to send an army to the bloodbath in Europe. In his book Propaganda, published in 1928, Bernays wrote that the “intelligent manipulation of the organised habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society”, and that the manipulators “constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power in our country”. Instead of propaganda, he coined the euphemism “public relations” (PR). http://www.prwatch.org/prwissues/1999Q2/bernays.html The American tobacco industry hired Bernays to convince women that they should smoke in public. By associating smoking with women’s liberation, he made cigarettes “torches of freedom.” http://www.criticalthink.info/webindex/bernays.htm Bernays was no rabid right-winger. He was an elitist liberal who believed that “engineering public consent” was for the greater good. This could be achieved by the creation of “false realities” which then became “news events”. Here are examples of how it is done these days. False reality: The last US combat troops have left Iraq “as promised, on schedule”, according to President Barack Obama. The TV news has been filled with cinematic images of the “last US soldiers”, silhouetted against the dawn light, crossing the border into Kuwait. Fact: They have not left. At least 50,000 troops will continue to operate from 94 bases. American air assaults are unchanged, as are special forces’ assassinations. The number of “military contractors” is 100,000 and rising. Most Iraqi oil is now under direct foreign control. False reality: It is not known how many Iraqis have died. They are “countless”, or maybe “in the tens of thousands”. Fact: As a direct consequence of the Anglo-American-led invasion, a million Iraqis have died. This figure, from Opinion Research Business, follows peer-reviewed research by Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC, whose methods were secretly affirmed as “best practice” and “robust” by the Blair government’s chief scientific adviser. This is rarely reported or presented to “charming” American generals. Neither is the dispossession of four million Iraqis, the malnourishment of most Iraqi children, the epidemic of mental illness, or the poisoning of the environment. False reality: The British economy has a deficit of billions which must be reduced with cuts in public services and regressive taxation, in a spirit of “we’re all in this together”. Fact: We are not in this together. What is remarkable about this PR triumph is that only 18 months ago, the diametric opposite filled TV screens and front pages. Then, in a state of shock, truth became unavoidable, if briefly. The Wall Street and City of London trough was on full view for the first time, along with the venality of once-celebrated snouts. Billions in public money went to inept and crooked organisations known as banks, which were spared debt liability by their Labour government sponsors. Within a year, record profits and personal bonuses were posted and the “black hole” was no longer the responsibility of the banks, whose debt is to be paid by those not in any way responsible: the public. The received media wisdom of this “necessity” is now a chorus, from the BBC to the Sun. A masterstroke, Bernays would surely say. False reality: Ed Miliband offers a “genuine alternative” as leader of the Labour Party. Fact: Miliband, like his brother and almost all those standing for the Labour leadership, is immersed in the effluent of New Labour. As a New Labour MP and minister, he did not refuse to serve under Blair or to speak out against Labour’s persistent warmongering. He now calls the invasion of Iraq a “profound mistake.” Calling it a mistake insults the memory and the dead. It was a crime, of which the evidence is voluminous. He has nothing new to say about the other colonial wars, none of them mistakes. Neither has he demanded basic social justice – that those who caused the recession clear up the mess and that Britain’s fabulously rich corporate minority be taxed seriously. The good news is that false realities often fail when the public trusts its own critical intelligence. Two classified documents recently released express the CIA’s concern that the populations of European countries, which oppose their governments’ war policies, are not succumbing to the usual propaganda spun through the media. For the rulers of the world, this is a conundrum, because their unaccountable power rests on the false reality that no popular resistance works. Or does it? Your thoughts,.... more

Resolved Question: Is Hugo Chavez really a good role model for Americans?

I thought he was a vile, dictatorial Communist but after watching a damning article on Glenn Beck last night it appears the American Government seems to think that way? Do Americans really think that way? Sorry I forgot the manic woman who made that speech name but she scared the crap outta me!! Reminds me of a female David Milliband!! Resolved Question: Has Gordon Brown just become an easy target?

I know he made plenty of serious errors as PM/Chancellor, but is it fair he has become the whipping boy for every Dave, Ed and Tony? Tony's admissions make me sick, considering he was adamant they had a harmonious working relationship. And the Labour leader candidates are no better - all are now bemoaning Brown with mucho gusto. Is Brown getting the stick for all of Labour's errors in the last 13 years, or does he deserve all the stick? more

Resolved Question: What do you think of my atheistic synopsis of life and Jesus alike?

There have been many alike who are assassinated because the primitively evolved ego is still evolving and so is man. Unfortunately there is just as much good or benefit to evolve out of the same amount of quantifiable badness that occurs in life. This badness leaders inflict upon our selves for the greater good. So historically people who mean well who gain too much following and therefore power are assassinated for the greater good/advancement of man kind. Of course one of them has to be the greatest and martyred. Here is an axiom or paradigm for you: As cave men did we struggle to even contemplate our existence as we looked to the stars barely literate and utter the word Goh! Goh! which became GOD. Oh it must be GOD! Primitively evolved ego blames god and the devil and puts everything in little boxes in the mind in order to recognize and relate to them. This weakness exploited by others for purposes of social division, avarice greed and power over others as we beat our chests in satisfaction. The hunt was successful today! le Panacea/the cure all for all, Our Secret Weapon, axiomatic system from which we can produce logical coherent conclusion and paradigms, In traditional logic, an axiom or postulate is a proposition that is not proved or demonstrated but considered to be either self-evident, or subject to necessary decision. Therefore, its truth is taken for granted, and serves as a starting point for deducing and inferring other (theory dependent) truths. The key aspect of our humanity seems to be our morals and beliefs. The ability to change, adapt, and create the ability to carry out a coherent logical conclusion. This is one factor that allows us to change ourselves and adapt to a changing world. To construct and stabilize our morals we must begin with some principles held as axioms and logically derive from those axioms conclusions which become our morals. Our ability to radically change ourselves and our original axiomatic belief system accounts for the other half of our ability to change, adapt, and create. We have advanced so far in terms of knowledge, society, and technology. Yet there is still so much more to create and discover. What will propel us is ultimately our humanity. And we have seen that stability and change make us human. In this yin-yang sort of duality, these two aspects of our nature–the desire for tradition and stability and the excitement brought on by radical revolution–synergistically combine to form what we call humanity and human nature. We have discovered our secret weapon: two conflicting yet supporting principles that guide our ever-shifting path into the future. In terms of God I think it's very interesting that creationism, (a consequence of the evolving ego) has produced a mental mechanism that can often forgive us for what ever we do, and also creates a solution to what we can't explain. In my opinion we are a very counter productive and self destructive species which still struggles to break the mold of mindless facile and frivolous cultural perpetuation as a result of many given leader types or peerage consumed with avarice, falsely empowering ones self and self preservation. This behavior and moral standards learned and then perpetuated pervasively throughout any given culture. E.G. exploitation of the weak or primitively evolved ego, the sinister inciting coups and the best products that can possibly benefit man kind are not brought to market because the don't make enough profit. Wealth is power and can influence government policy, the cultural foundations of which will typically be built upon the exploitation of others as one capitulates to avarice thoughts and feelings ultimately aspiring to self preserve and acquire power. These standards are set thus learned and perpetuated down through the hierarchical ranks of any given culture. Rotten peerage = rotten culture. No one asks to be born here and no one asks to leave. more

Resolved Question: Name my characters? Slasher movie esque story.?

It's for a slasher. Nothing groundbreaking. Nothing new. I'm just fitting the slasher movie formula because I feel like writing and I can't focus on my other more serious project right now. But yeah :3 Anyway, the characters. Chara 1. _____ Cunningham. He's a boy, somewhere between the ages of 17 and 20, caucasian and lean, but somewhat toned. He has average features and a laid back personality, but at times can be a bully and take things too far. He's single, but looking to score with one of the girls over the weekend. He isn't rich, but his parents are fairly well off, upper middle class I guess. He isn't the leader of any clique or group, but being the wealthier one of his friends, most finance related responsibilities fall on him. He buys pot and alcohol for his friends, but doesn't seem to mind. Chara 2. ____ _____ between the ages of 18 and 20. Somewhat muscular, not ripped or athletic but considerably more toned than the other guys at the weekend retreat. Either Puerto Rican, Italian of some South American background, only ancestral however, he's an American through and through. He has a penchant for aviator sunglasses and he's the "second in command" of the group. He's dating Chara 5. It's an on-off relationship and they break up alot, but they are currently together. Chara 3. ___ ___, Mixed race African-American and Caucasian. Between the age of 18 and 20. Average build, not lean like Chara 1 but not as toned as Chara 2. Character is a pothead and a stoner, more so than the others who do it recreationally. Character is the comic relief of the group as he hopelessly tries to get the girl and is obviously surpassed by the other guys. Characters main reason for being within the group is he is the only one who has his own car *some of the others can drive, but need to resort to using their parents cars with permission*. Somewhat goofy and can take things too far, likes to joke about. Chara 4. ___ ___ age 18 to 20, leader of the gang. Caucasian with auburn hair and an Irish-American heritage. Fairly handsome, but not striking. He has a somewhat jerky arrogance about him that unless your a friend, will make you feel unwelcome and threatened. A complete frat boy type, with the exception he's not in University, he likes drinking games and sexist jokes and whilst a good friend, is a complete asshole. Chara 5. ___ ____ age 18 to 20, caucasian. An average framed girl (a healthy weight, not curvy or slender) whos mildly buxom and has an attractive face. Dating Chara 2., they have a frictional on-off relationship and break up often for petty reasons, but are currently back together. She was never a beauty queen, head cheerleader or most popular girl at high school, but was still fairly popular for whatever reason. She's into fashion (whats trendy and whatnot, instead of the high end fashion magazines, designers and garments) and likes to be treated well, whilst she isn't spoiled, she is always aware of when and where her boyfriend takes her for granted. Chara 6. ___ ____ easily the most stable/neutral of the three girls, between the age of 18 and 20 and some mild trace of ethnicity that gives her tanned/bronzed skin. Maybe Italian or Hispanic? Mildly attractive, but somewhat plain and with an slim, lithe figure. She likes to keep her hair its natural colour and whilst not a vegan or a naturist, has something to say about the climate and whatnot. She can be bitchy at times, but is by far the nicest of the three girls. She's a close friend of Chara 1. as they used to be best friends in childhood, so she isn't particuarly close to any of the other characters. She's sensible, but does know how to have a good time. Chara 7. ____ _____ aged 18 to 20, caucasian. Has a strong crush on both Chara 2. and Chara 4. but only because their status/looks. She can be bitchy at times, but Chara 5. is by far the cruelest of the girls (not to suggest she's malicious). Not really a bimbo and is fairly sure of herself and somewhat intelligent, but can't hold her drink and loves getting drunk. She's promiscuous and often talks about sex either shocking or humouring whoever is with her. She's generally more accepting of Chara 6.'s induction into the group rather than Chara 5.'s.Well of course I have the stereotypes down, its a slasher, duh. > >' And as for the whole black community thing, every character in this a pothead. Did people throw a shit fit when the only black and asian castmembers in the crappy Friday 13th remake were drug addicts? No. Get over yourself! Like I said it wasn't a serious project, so stop trying to make me sound like the pulsating blemish of the writing world. And yes CHARA short for character, most writers shortern words to save time. Shows how much you know. more

Resolved Question: I just read some article called 'Obama not worried by Muslim rumours'?

http://news.uk.msn.com/world/articles.aspx?cp-documentid=154530845 I always hear about people who think the president is a Muslim... and I was just wondering what was the big deal if he is a Muslim? Doesn't anyone think this is slightly unfair? People seem to attack him for being a Muslim (even if he is not)... as if its a bad thing. Obama says he is Christian.. i don't really mind what relgion he is.. just how come people have to make a big deal of it as if it WOULD be an awful thing is he was? People also complain about the fact that he might not have been born in America... and what the hell does that matter? Just because you are born on a different part of the planet... does that mean you shouldn't be allowed to be a leader? Does this really all matter as long as he is a good president? (I can't say if he is because i don't know) I mean George Bush was born in America and Christian, right.. and he wasn't exactly the greatest leader....o_0 This is just kind of confusing and makes me angry =_= I'm only a teenager.. I don't know that much about politics tbh, but how adults accuse Obama of being a different religion or not being born in America is just immature and embarrassing :/ doesnt anyone else think its stupid or am I the only one seeing abit of sense?@ John Doe- yes I understand it would be awful if he had lied about it.... but the question was asked once, and it was answered (no im not a muslim)... and now people just CONTINUE to accuse him or say he is a religion which he already answered he is not! That tells me that people clearly have a problem with him if he was a Muslim or Islam... because otherwise they wouldn't keep bringing it up. its just weird o_0 more

Resolved Question: Though on the impossible side, wouldn't this seem like a great idea?

If everyone in the horse section got together to write a horse book. We would all have something different to write such as: Someone will have illnesses Someone will have injuries Someone will have tack And what we do is figure out who will write what and then once certain pages are done we email them to the leader (who will print out the pages and send off the book to get published) and then the book will be put together and sent off. Also because there are so many of us we could take photos of our own horses to put in the book instead of getting a photographer and stables to take photos of. Even though this is an impossible idea is it a good one?And we would take photos of our fields, poisouness plants, brushes, mucking out tools, label a picture of the horse, the quick release knot in easy to follow step by step guides and so on.yeah, there would be so much information. I am always trying to find a good book about horses but can never find a decent one. I thought of this idea then but its impossible. :'(and the money from the book could go to a horse charity!and people could only write in it if they have level 4 or more and have at least 456 best answers. That way it can be troll free.We will just leave it to the proffesionals but I agree it would be funOr the top contributers could look through it at the end but its still impossible.I love melody- If your answers are good then you can write it but we are disscussing the impossible- Im only level 2 he he :P but I would happily put the book together.BQ: Could you reccomend any good horse books as in horses in general that has bits about horses, care, breeds and so on? more

Resolved Question: We are brought up to believe in santa, we are brought up to believe in god, we can read about then both?

and we eventually get told the trutth about santa and then we still get told god exists, with absolutely no proof whatsoever . no one can ever prove the existence, but we can continually see that science proves religion wrong, yet some people continue to believe it. Religion was invented to put us all into line, and be good boys and girls, and it worked to all the leaders, that of course changed it to how they wanted their people to behave So my question is, why do people really think we are that important, that we are more important than any other animal on this planet, and that we go on to someplace else when we die. For gods sake, we all need to grow up and realise we are no more important to nature than an ant more

Voting Question: Wouldn't it be better if the labour party just gave up on finding a new leader and just disbanded or something?

I mean the english labour part to be specific. Does anyone else think it would be actually be a good thing is they just, disbanded or something? From all I have seen I don't think they have done much good at all in the past 13 years or so. In the past I think they were ok but not as they are now. I also think that in the past the conservatives were just pretty much a greedy bunch who just wanted the best for the richer people, but that now they are a lot better under david cameron. As for the lib dems I'm not sure, but I think they have some ok policies and some dodgy ones. I also think that this coalition we have now is probably the best thing we can have, with the best bits or the tories and the best of the lib dems. However in my opinion labour have just brought everything downhill and these past 13 years have just been a waste of time with about 80% of everything they did just being negative and would be better if undone. I don't understand whats so good about them and all their weird policies all I have seen is a lot of bad and not enough good (for all its worth) come out of them i'm 17 so they've been pretty much all ive seen during my life. However now I just happen to read things in the papers that are being done by the coalition and its pretty much all good stuff, some you might class as a bit suckish, but for a good outcome, but overall yeah, I think this coalition is just blindingly much better!! Handing it all back to labour seems to me like.. giving a half-decent painting to a 3 year old to finish or something, just undoing all the work, you get my drift there.hmm maybe we should give the lib dems a chance. left wing/ right wing.. logically it seems that somewhere in the middle would be the best?hmm yeah, fair point about the papers, I might of got a bit biased because I used to read the express a bit (but stopped because it's stupid over-sensationalised headlines always sounded great then dissapointed me -especially all the cure for cancer stuff etc) Now i just read general news mainly off the internet, and watch bbc news sometimes..mac the knife, I do have a job!! and it took me absolutley ages to find it, even though it is only a minimum wage one which ok, at least it isn't even less that £3.57... and I kind of blame labour for it being so hard for me to find one anyway. Also it looked like the NHS was failing anyway, I don't really understand why any part of this country was running short of money and beginning to fall apart when we have really high taxes anyway. I'm just saying.. surely it should be a brilliant NHS to be honest, with all that money. more

Resolved Question: help me please!! I'm Italian and i'm not good in English!!?

Read the story about King Arthur and answer these questions: 1. When did the legends about King Arthur begin to appear? 2. Where was King Arthur born? 3. What was his father’s name? 4. Who brought him up? 5. How old was he when he became king? 6. What was the name of his magic sword? 7. Where did he live with his wife Guinevere? 28 8. Can you name some of his famous knights? 9. How did they spend their time? 10. Why did King Arthur go to Rome? 11. Did he really die in the battle against his nephew Mordred? 12. Do you like this kind of stories? What is your favourite type of books (or films)? The legends of King Arthur began to appear in the twelfth century, and it is possible that they are based on a Celtic leader in the fifth or sixth century who defended his country against Saxon invasion. King Arthur was the son of Pendragon, and was born in Tintagel in Cornwall. He was brought up by Merlin, an old Celtic magician, and became king of Britain when he was fifteen. He proved his right to be king when he managed to pull a sword from a rock. He had to fight many lords, and when, with Merlin’s help, he defeated them, he received the magic sword Exca1ibur from the Lady of the Lake. He married Guinevere and lived in a caste at Camelot. His knights sat at a round table so that they were all equal since nobody was sitting at the head of the table. Many of the stories in the legends are about the adventures of the knights, among them Lancelot, Perceval, Gawain, and Galahad. They spent their time hunting wild pigs, having feasts, and singing ballads. They often had to kill dragons and giants. At all times they behaved very correctly, with respect, honour, and compassion. Arthur went to Rome to fight the emperor, Lucius, and he left his kingdorn in the hands of his nephew, Mordred. As he was entering Rome, Arthur learned that Mordred had taken control of the kingdom and had captured Guinevere. He came back to England and defeated his nephew, but in the battle was seriously wounded. Arthur told Sir Belvedere, the last surviving knight, to throw Exca1ibur into the water of a lake. He did this, and the sword was caught by a hand which came out of the water and then took the sword below the surface. Arthur was then taken to the Isle of Avalon to get better. We understand that he did not die, but Iives on and will return when his country needs him. The legend says that the following verse is written on his tomb: HIC IACET ARTURUS REX QUONDAM REXQUE FUTURUS (HERE LIES ARTHUR, THE ONCE AND FUTURE KING) more

Resolved Question: Senior Republican party figure reveals that he is gay and pledges to fight for same-sex marriage?

Ken Mehlman, a key leader in the Bush-era Republican party has suddenly come out as gay and pledges to fight for same-sex marriage. After heading a Republican party that was openly hostile to the civil rights of gay and lesbian Americans, the former Republican party chairman and Bush aide Ken Mehlman has stepped out of the closet. So he was happy to go along with the gay-bashing while it suited his purposes and has now left the beltway to use his political contacts working for a private equity firm. One of the reasons George W Bush was re-elected president was because the homophobic masses in Middle America were mobilised to vote against the same-sex marriage measures which mysteriously appeared on many ballots (and which, of course, kept SSM illegal). Though it does leave me puzzled - people near the apex of power use the better part of their political life demolishing basic human rights of others. Am I obliged to embrace his courageous out coming? The Nazi leaders with the same disposition as Ken Mehlman – are they entitled to the same gracious compassion? http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/richard-adams-blog/2010/aug/26/ken-mehlman-gay-marriage-republican more

Resolved Question: JWs and the KIT and NWT?

WT 15 Nov 1969 p696 tells us that the KIT can serve as a safeguard against error in these days when many religious leaders are teaching twisted things, even twisting the written Word of God...by going to the KIT of the Greek Scriptures a student can go to the original bible text.... I notice that Revelation 3v14 in the KIT reads 'beginning of the creation OF God' yet in NWT reads 'beginning of the creation BY God'. 1 Cor10v4 reads 'WAS the Christ' in the KIT but reads 'MEANT the Christ' in NWT. 1John 4v2 KIT reads 'the Spirit of God' NWT reads 'inspired expression from God' If the WT tell you the KIT is the translation that 'safeguards against error in these days' and that by going to the KIT 'a student can go to the original bible text' would it not be better to rely on that rather than the clearly mis-translated NWT?angelmus - I do admit I myself typed it with a capital 'S' and you are correct the KIT is not a capital 's'. Apologies, I guess it is habit as I refer to the Spirit of God with a capital S. However, you have not really answered my question and if you would like to by edit that would be super xCaliforniamama, I am not sure how you consider my question to be 'negative'. Perhaps you can elaborate? If you want something positive about the JWs I would say most of them are sincere kind and helpful people - however, being any or all of those things alone will not save us!barenosh and Abernathy - it is not ME saying that the KIT is the best bible to safeguard against errors its the WATCHTOWER ORG, just in case you did not get the jist of my Q. x more

Resolved Question: My friend is being really 'off' with me, and i don't know why?

We had a shopping trip planned for next week with about 4 other people, but i dropped out because i haven't got a lot of money, and as soon as i started to imply i wouldn't be able to go, she started being off with me. I'm really paranoid they have a message going on facebook and are backstabbing, but i don't really know what i've done. We got exam results last week, and everyone asked what eachother got, and i did a little better than most of them - but they asked, so are they annoyed about that. I really can't think of anything else i could have possibly done. This friend of mine by the way, is the ring leader of my group, and im the only one that normally stands up to her, if that helps. Sometimes she makes comments about my appearance - not very nice ones, and i've put it down to jealousy. Could that be what it is? Cause it's pretty pathetic, and im getting close to snapping! Thanks. x more

Resolved Question: Americans who oppose the New York mosque are ignorant, bigoted and short-sighted in their views. True/false?

If people are serious about defeating terrorism, then people should support efforts by any Muslim/Christian/Jewish/whatever religious/non-religious group that wishes to defeat elements of EXTREMISM and HATE in this world. Muslims were victims of the 9/11 terrorists too (many American Muslims died at Ground Zero). In fact, Muslim people all around the world are victims of Al-Qaeda (in terms of the negative image they brought upon Islam) and America's invasion of foreign nations (hundreds of thousands of civilians killed ever since 9/11). The leader of the Islamic Center near Ground Zero is actually someone who tells Muslims overseas about "how good and tolerant America is towards Islam" but Americans themselves are not showing any love, even here on Yahoo Answers. I don't think this is a proud moment for America at all.Sophie - I can enjoy whatever I please. I'm not Muslim, but I know that Muslims are free to have their mosques in London - even near the locations of the terrorist bombings here - because Londoners are not as stupid as to equate the whole religion with those few terrorists. Looks like the message behind the Statue of Liberty is not meant for all Americans. Felonious M - That's only because of the ignorant, bigoted and short-sighted Americans who turn it into an issue. Ray Here - The point is, why would Americans think the mosque is offensive in the first place? Surely they're equating the 9/11 terrorists with Muslims as a whole. George S - True, and those Muslims you're referring to are the same with these Americans; ignorant, bigoted, short-sighted. SMSmith500 - Do a real survey, & you'll know that there are MANY churches in Muslim countries too. Do you even know how many Muslim countries there are in this world? BTW, 9/11 was not an attack from a Muslim COUNTRY. Check your facts.Husker Fan Man - Terrorists (idiots) who say they do things "in the name of a religion" is not the same as "everyone who believes in that religion". The building was bought the right way, and it wasn't stolen. You say liberal idiots make you sick. To me, idiots make me sick, no matter if they're liberals or conservatives. John D - Clearly you're ignorant, bigoted and short-sighted. I have many Muslim friends who don't accept those type of teachings. Your version of Islam is similar to Al-Qaeda's version of America. By the way, there are hundreds of mosques (prayer centers) in New York already, even before 9/11. Don't you see you're just being used by your politicians and their lobby groups?GSWModerator - Please check your facts. Despite the big deal among the American public, the mosque (or "prayer center") isn't even at Ground Zero! Even if it were at Ground Zero and was just occupying a building that's already there, why should you dump the American Muslims who pray in that mosque (prayer center) into the same category as the WTC terrorists and the ignorant & short-sighted Muslims who celebrated when the Pentagon was attacked?Mechanic - Your response is a clear example of the ignorance and bigotry around us. First, it's NOT a monument! It's just a normal building where Muslims pray in it. Secondly, those Muslims are NOT the terrorists, so your analogy of one's brother being killed and the killer pissing on his grave is the WRONG analogy. The correct analogy to illustrate YOUR attitude would be this:- "Just because a woman killed your brother, you're not allowing any women to attend your brother's funeral, even your brother's girlfriend won't be allowed". That's how you're reacting to these American Muslims who just bought a normal building to pray in.RONC - You're a BNP member, and you're speaking on behalf of Londoners who actually rejected BNP? Funny. Jesse5370 (this dude sent me a vulgar private message complete with a threat) - If you think violence can actually solve anything, then you're just letting terrorism and extremism win the day. I'm not surprised.John D - Please re-read what you wrote in your second paragraph. It IS a bigoted view and a generalization of Muslims. Old scriptures like the Islamic Koran, the Christian Bible and the Jewish Tanakh should never be taken literally. At least that's what religious Muslim, Christian and Jewish people have been telling me. I've travelled the world and involved myself in many different cultures out there, John, so you don't need to patronize me on that. There are MANY Muslims I know who have distanced themselves from the nutters, so I think you should probably get to know more of them before you point fingers and bomb their villages.Busybob - The terrorists of 9/11 have NOTHING to do with the mosque. Doesn't it occur to you that American Muslims are EQUALLY angry and upset with the terrorists of 9/11? They were killed by the terrorists too! Al-Qaeda is NOT the organization that bought the building. Are you saying that all the other mosques (Muslim prayer centers) in New York and USA should be demolished because of 9/11? That's exactly what the terrorists want Westerners to do - When more and more Westerners hate and isolate Muslims in general, then Osama and terrorist groups would get more support. Think about it. Rustykid - I would support anyone who says that Islam should evolve, just like Christianity and Judaism had already evolved. Islamic terrorism today is like the wars and bloodshed caused by Christianity's and Judaism's past. The thing is, how do we respond to it? By generalizing and stereotyping all Muslims? By fueling further prejudice? By killing their fellow Muslims who had nothing to do with 9/11?John D - Yes, this could turn out into a definitional debate on the word "bigot". If one checks out the various meanings of the word, one would realize it doesn't necessarily refer to a person who shuts out EVERY other point of view. A person with strong prejudice against another group/race/religion can also be termed a bigot. To me, the generalization and stereotyping of Muslims (or people of other religions) can only come from ignorant bigots, but of course, my strong language can be turned down a notch, as pointed out by another answerer. Once again, it's within your 2nd paragraph where I see the prejudice, generalization and stereotyping words from you. BusyBob - Of course you did not say anything about demolishing the hundreds of mosques that are already in NY and USA. I asked that question because I was trying to find the relation between mosques and your mentioning of NY and USA in your sentence. Perhaps you meant my main question should be more specific about which NY mosque? more

Resolved Question: Aren't EU grants just recycled taxpayer's money anyway?

So, our leaders from the UK go cap in hand to Brussels, after paying in more than £50 billion every year for our membership, a couple of billion of it then drops off the table and onto the floor and they say "oh you can have that to fund your projects". Worthwhile projects such as tthe Eden Project, in Cornwall, the Millennium Bridge, in Gateshead, and the redevelopment of Liverpool’s King’s Dock. But wouldn't it have been a good idea to just keep the £50 billion in the 1st place and fund things directly, and say "stuff you E - U"? Or are the posh jobs in Brussels that have been promised to our current and previous leaders just too tempting for us to turn our backs on the EU? Your thoughts please....... PEACE.Little old man - thanks for the lecture, but how did we EVER survive before we joined I wonder. Don't fall for that pro EU BS either. They said we wouldn't have any more wars in Europe, yet Bosnia and Serbia kicked off! And others! They said we cannot survive without being fully paid up EU member, but other European countries that aren't in it survive and are doing very nicely thanks.Thaila, what British goods are you talking about exactly. Resolved Question: Why do the British seem to have a high sense of entitlement in general?

I know the Brits take every chance to criticize the U.S. military, and virtually anything to do with the U.S. government, calling it incompetent and what not, for example. They also like to criticize anything about the U.S. They seem to be living in the past when the inhumane and uncivilized British Empire was still around, but those days are gone and they no longer are the superpower in the world. The British look down on Americans, but we are the wealthier, more powerful, and many people would agree, better looking, people. I don't think the British should even bother voting, as their political parties are both moving to the center and their leaders do what our president wants, anyway. Their politics is no more organized that what we have over here; their PM is a Barack Obama wannabe and their Chancellor of the Exchequer looks like he is a 18th French aristocrat with a powdered face. I would like to remind those people who think we are so incompetent it was the British MI5 and MI6 that produced Soviet double agents that stole American secrets, most notably ones about our nuclear program, and fed them to the Soviets. Those people tricked their own superiors in the MI5 and MI6, while the CIA knew there were moles in those agencies and had a good idea who they were, but those people's superiors would not buy it. The reason why the Soviets obtained a hydrogen bomb so early is because of British turncoats like Kim Philby, while the CIA got pissed (rightfully so) and started to re-examine its relationship with British intelligence. The CIA is still the most advanced and most competent intelligence agency in the world. There are the stereotypes about American obesity and intelligence, but I could give you stereotypes about British teeth and homosexuality (many British men come across as being homosexual to many people).Maybe we should have just let Britain to fend for themselves against the Nazis during World War II and let that miserable island sink into the Atlantic. The British fended for themselves with American supplies going into the country. Had that not happened, the Nazis would have bombed Britain into the ocean.I could cite stories about Indians living in shacks and wearing rags for clothes in that "glorious" Empire, while the British upper-crust just sat there in that same region and drank and played polo in their fancy clothes, but that may be lost on everyone.Had the Japanese not attacked Pearl Harbor, we would have stayed out of the war. Nobody in this country cared if Hitler conquered Europe.I don't know what is worse, being chubby or having women who look like they descend from frogs and guys from horses.Pat: you're retarded. We were in Iraq on a humanitarian mission and now almost all of our troops are gone from the country. So why would our troops dress in rags?paul s: I would like to remind you that the British MI6 tried to assassinate President Nasser of Egypt almost as many times, but they didn't have the balls to follow through completely on any of those occasions. And they wanted to do stupid things like poisoning his chocolate. And the U.S. will never be a province of China. They would have to force us militarily to accept their rule, but we could simply stop trade with them, which would crash their economy.ALAN: have you ever heard of a British fellow by the name of Lord Amherst? Let me tell you about how wonderful he was: the Native Americans were giving him and his troops a hard time, so what did he do? He had smallpox used against him because he couldn't defeat them militarily. more

Resolved Question: Dog Walking Troubles?

I have a one-year-old female English Bull Terrier named Lily. I got her on saturday afternoon, and I took her down to my friends house, which is along our street, through another, down the main street, through a couple more and you're there. She was fine; a bit slow and cautious, but fine. It's a fair old walk, too. So anyway, i brought her back, and she was more confident as we took the same route. So the next day i walked her i got her to the top of the street, and she didn't want to go any further (standing with her head down, tail between her legs, crying). So i took her home, and a couple of hours later me and my brother took her up the path near our house that leads to the front street. She was slow, but steady. We took her round and down into the street, and home. She didn't fuss, cry or bark her first night. She was as good as gold. And then the other morning, i took her out. I eventually got her to the other side of the road, where she did her business and i picked it up, but i had to drag her (literally) around the corner to the dog bin. I brought her home, and she was alright. That was about 8:30 AM. At about half 12, my friend came around. We walked her up the street with some difficulty, and she did her business once again. Between us, we managed to get her up a long stretch of street, and over near a field of horses (she was quite eager to see the horses). Then she wouldn't budge. So we took her back, and she was pulling on the leader like mad. She ws sticking her head through the fence to see a little labrador pup in the garden, and had a good sniff of a passing collie. But every walk i've taken her on since she stopped, and wouldn't budge. It's not easy trying to drag an English Bull, trust me. I'll drag her so far, speak sternly to her, try and encourage her, but it does no good. i just look like an idiot. the only way she'll move is if i take her back. treats didn't even work. Sometimes i can get her right around the block, but most times she won't move on our street. i'm so irritated with her sometimes, and i just wish i could get it through to her to shift, but speaking to her does no good, and i wouldn't dream of hitting her; physical abuse is utterly no way to go about anything. Her previous owner didn't mention anything about her not liking walks (he's a very good friend, and he told us everything about her). So i was wondering if there are any Bull Terrier owners out there, or indeed anyone who is well versed in walking stubborn dogs (Lily is sporadically stuborn, shes okay then shes not, and its not medical. Her pads are fine, as is her stomach, back, etc) who may have had this problem. I've tried her favorite toy and treats - to no avail. Should i just drag her and not look back, and make her come? Will that teach her? Please help! (Civil answers only, please) more

Resolved Question: Does the media have a massive influence on society?

I personally feel that it does, and I seek to attain a better insight. My reason for believing it does is that the newspapers all write in a bias, rather than objective way, about news and events. I don't know if its done in such a way to appeal to their target market (their customers), or whether the papers are written in such a way to achieve a higher purpose, or both. In the UK, our new "coalition government" is still in its teething stages but it seems like the newspapers are reflective of what this new government stands for. All of a sudden, there is this "uproar" about the numbers on welfare / benefits. I've read a few newspapers today and they all attack people in benefits at some point, and some of them make it their main story. I believe this is to soften the blow when our so-called coalition government phases out the benefits system. After all, there has never been such focus placed on the numbers on benefits in previous years. It would seem like the media can be used as a political tool for social reform. I'll tell you a secret, I live in Northern Ireland. And ever since the leaders of the two contesting groups agreed to try to reach some sort of an agreement, the news stations and papers have flamed any action taken by either side, and crime has dropped substantially. Such action was widely accepted as part of our heritage, culture and lives, even though the majority detested it; and this has changed thanks in part by the media. The wasting young men in our society used to commit crimes because it was the "cool to be bad", but now that we've had a major paradigm shift such crimes aren't as common as no one wants to be hated by the masses. And as for the papers, why do they broadly state that all claimants are "Workshy" and never express that there are individuals out there who need such a system to survive? more

Resolved Question: do you treat your wife the same as muslim men do,read on?

1.Make her feel secure; (sakina- tranquillity) QUIT BEING AGGRESSIVE 2. When you go home say 'Assalmualikum.' It kicks the shaitaan out of your home! 3. Prophet (saw) described the wife as a fragile vessel and said to take care of this vessel that’s fragile. Remember that there is goodness in this vessel so treat it gently. 4. When you advise her, do so in privacy, in a peaceful environment. NOT IN PUBLIC as it’s a type of slandering. 5. Be generous to your wife- it keeps her LOVED 6. Move and let her have your seat. It will warm her heart. 7. AVIOD ANGER. HOW? Keep your wudu at all times. Prophet saw said if your angry, sit down, if you’re sitting, then lie down. Follow the sunnah! 8. Look good and smell great for your wife. IT keeps the LOVE! 9. Don’t be rigid. It will break you. Prophet (saw) said 'I am the best amongst you and I am the best to my wife'. Being rigid and harsh will not bring you close to Allah and neither does it make you more of a man. 10. Listen to your wife-BE a GOOD LISTENER 11. YES to flattering NO to arguing. Arguing is like poison in a marriage. Al zawai said 'When Allah (swt) wants evil for people He will leave them to argue amongst themselves'. 12.. Prophet (saw) said to call your wives with the best name, any name she loves to hear. Prophet (saw) called Aisha 'ya Aish' as an endearment. 13. Give her a pleasant surprise. I.e. if she loves watermelon, bring her one out of the blue. It will grow the love in her heart. 14. Preserve your tongue! Prophet (saw) said the tongue will throw people in the hell fire so watch what you say and how you say it! 15. All of us have shortcoming. Accept her shortcoming and Allah (swt) will put barakh in your marriage. 16. TELL her you appreciate her. SHOW her you appreciate her.. 17. Encourage her to keep good relation with her relative, her mum and dad etc. 18. Speak with her with a topic of HER interest. 19. In front of her relative praise her. Confirm/ realise that she is wonderful, and that she is a good person in front of her family. 20. Give each other gifts. You will love each other more. Prophet (saw) said gifts increases love. 21. Get rid of the routine once in a while, surprise her with something, it will get rid of the rust and polish it! 22. Husnul zaan- We have a demand from Allah (swt) that we have to think good of people. Think good of your spouse. 23. Ignore some of her mistakes- pretend you did not see/hear some of her small mistakes. It was a practise of Ali (RA). It’s like putting a hole in your memory. Don’t save it in your memory! 24. Increase the drops of patience, especially when she is pregnant or when she is on her monthly period. 25. Expect and respect her jealousy. Even Aisha (ra) used to get jealous. 26. Be humble. If your profession is good, respect that she is looking after your children, she is much more than you, she is the leader at home, her strength is your strength, and her success is your successes. 27. Don't put your friends above your wife. 28. Help your wife at home. Prophet (saw) used to help his wives at home and he was the best of creation. He used to sew his own clothes. 29. Help her respect your parents, you can’t force her to love them, but she can be helped to gradually love them. 30. Show your wife she is the ideal wife. 31. Remember your wife in your duaas. It will increase the love and protect it. 32. Leave the past. It brings nothing but pain and grief. It’s not your business. The past is for Allah (swt). 33. Don't try to show her that you are doing her a favour by doing something, like buying food for the house, because in reality we are the courier of sustenance, not the providers, as Allah is the provider. It’s also a way of being humble and thankful to Allah (swt) 34. Shaitaan is your enemy, not your wife. Sometime when husband and wife are talking a fight breaks out, then shaitaan is present there as a third person so he is the real enemy. It is not enough to hate the shaitaan, but you have to see him as an enemy as Allah has commanded. Shaitaan loves divorce. HE comes everyday and sits office and asks the devils what they have done, some say i have made a person steal, or i have made someone drink etc. And one devil will say i have made a man divorce his wife, and he is crowned as the one who has done the best job. 35. Take the food and put it in her mouth. Prophet (saw) taught us this. It’s a blessing. The food doesn’t just go to her stomach, but straight to her heart. It increases the love and mercy between you. 36. Protect your wife from the evil of the shaitaan and mankind. She is like a precious pearl that needs protecting from the envy of human devils and shitaan. 37. Show her your smile. Smile at your wife. IT’S A CHARITY. 38. Small problems/ challenges can become a big problem. Or if there is small thing she didn't like and y more

I have neen a class leader for long time and made good performance in sports) and work(not with same company but with same career), a snug income and stable home country(I am happy I always have place to come back). I love tradition and people with traditional ideas. But of course I know there are things need to be changed/modified in the world(I am not a such morron person) and understand those who may need to change better for her/his life. But when we change someone's life better, sometimes I can't be positive for someone who blames on what I am doing TO MAKE HER/HIS LIFE BETTER, because that is unfair and; I do not deserve it simply. Voting Question: unfair business practices and defamation?

I work at the head office for a relatively recently established franchise based organisation. The business pakage we offer is genuinely much much better than any of our competitors, and our initial franchise fee to join the network is less than half the price of the market leader, AND, inspite of this, our monthly managment fees are cheaper than theirs, and the products supplied by us to our franchisees are significantly better than that of the market leader, despite being a third of the price. We have begun to take up a significant part of the market share as a result (though we are still a relatively small company, with only 50 franchises, to our competitors 300). However, over the course of the last year, we have been the victim oof an ongoing slander campaign. Our franchisees are consistently being contacted by a now ex franchisee, and being encouraged to refuse to pay their managment fees and cry misrepresentation. The ex franchisee in question has been arriving out open days to harrass and deter potential new franchisees, and published vast amounts of libelous information on the internet, claiming that 70% of our franchises fail (inspite of actually havin one of the best failre rates in the industry, at around 12%), as well as numerous other untrue and defamatory statements about the products and equipment we use. WE believe the ex-franchisee in question is being funded to do so by our competitors - he was seen speaking with the managment around a week after leaving our network, and has consistently devoted all of his time for almost a year and a half now, to harming our brandname - frequently travelling hundreds of miles to sabotage open days and spending hours on the phone each week harrassing our franchisees in the process, despite apparently having no income. The damage done to our business is epic, and we are now on the verge of bankruptcy and don't have the funding to pursue ex-fran in question. Resolved Question: I need help with some name choices?

Okay, I have four characters that are without a name at this moment, and these people, let's call them NoName1 NoName2 NoName3 and NoName4. Their names are very important, and I'm having trouble with writing and figuring one out, when their personalities vary and are quite different. Well, at least I think so. Let's say No name 1 and 2 are twins (girls), except one has green eyes and the other has blue eyes. The only difference between them. They have long straight black hair, a pale complexion and their an average height. No name 1 has green eyes, she is a happy, unpredictable person who can make anyone smile with just a silly comment, and her twin is the one who has blue eyes, she is a quiet one who loves to read but a wild streak of anger. If you get what I mean, so one is loud and weird, and the other is quiet and angry, maybe brooding. No name 3 is a girl too, she has blonde hair that frames her face with pretty curls, she has wide brown eyes, a creamy complexion and she is quite tall. She's the protective one who would die for any of her friends and she's obviously extremely loyal and only believes things if she see's them. She's level-headed and easily the leader of this group. No name 4 is a boy, except he's gay. He has dark brown hair and dark skin, like a russet colour, he has big storm coloured eyes and he's average height, he's the smart one, and a goofy idiot when it comes to grumpy friends. He is easily upset and is smart when it comes to fashion, and loves to shop. He's empathatic and can easily relate and understand peoples problems. Now, I have no clue what names to decide on, and I really need your help.. Please :)? I appreciate your help, and sorry if the descriptions aren't really good, I'm not good at describing people and their looks, thanks for your help people! xx. more

Resolved Question: What makes a good manager?

I've just been given a promotion to manager of twenty men. My boss expects me to knock them into shape which I am perfectly ok with. The problem is the two biggest piss takers are the bosses brother in-law and his best friend. The brother in-law is also a very good friend of mine. The men have got into the habit of knocking off early and doing as little as possible because they are mobile and hard to keep track of. How would you deal with the two ring leaders because once I have dealt with them the rest will be easy? more

Resolved Question: 17 year old urinated on and humiliated online by the Green Brigade?

Should this facist, racist and biggoted left wing political group be banned from Celtic Park for good? Their leader sat on a forum giving abuse to a young man who was urinated on by one of the Green Brigade, and all the rest found it not disgusting but hilarious. The young man was at the game with his father before a man pulled this sick stunt. The rest of the Green Brigade attacked the young boy verbally, all because he had the audacity to complain about being sodomised in a public football ground. Is this the sort of singing section Celtic want in their grounds, one who condone disgusting behaviour on young men? Celtic have moved fans away from their section to accomodate them and ignore their purely political ramblings despite the club's social charter saying politics is not welcome at Celtic Park. Should the Green Brigade be banned from the stadium? Links to forum posts: http://i.imgur.com/qbChx.gif http://i.imgur.com/b7zV8.gifGio, this is their leader condoning a boy being sodomised. If you want to defend that behaviour thats up to you.The links are images, you have to click them then enlarge them in your browser by clicking on them.Dude a number of them on the forum seemed to gain much pleasure from the incident so i believe the term i have used is correct. more

Resolved Question: Is it weird to be American and be a royalist who dislikes the American form of democracy?

I wouldn't mind seeing a system of official nobility arise in the United States and believe that constitutional monarchy is superior to the American form of democracy. I guess I am biased because I descend from a whole line of British kings up to Charles II and countless nobles, whose descendants eventually came to the U.S., but if there were an emperor in charge of the U.S., I wouldn't go against him. I hate disorder and mob rule above most other things and like powerful rulers; one of my favorite foreign leaders from modern history is the Shah of Iran. The Shah led Iran to prosperity and created a great amount of stability in the Middle East and Jimmy Carter was a disgrace not to back him up by sending U.S. troops and/or CIA agents to fight the Islamic crazies who now control Iran. I think that the French Revolution and the subsequent execution of the French royal family by a group of crazy peasants was one of the worst events to happen in the last 500 years; it makes me dislike the American form of government even more because the leaders of the French Revolution claimed to be continuing what the Americans started. If I lived during the American Revolution, I would have been one of the countless Loyalists in the colonies and supported King George III- he treated Americans much better than he did his own countrymen and I wouldn't have wanted to associate myself with the ragtag peasants and farmers with pitchforks who called themselves Patriots. more

Resolved Question: How can muslims cut through the tape that Mohammad pasted and still make islam a religion of inspiration?

Using Mohammad as the leader of islam does them no good when one reads about his unholy lifestyle in the koran and hadith. But how can intelligent muslims work through this mess and still change islam to be an inspiration ? How and what should they be doing in order to achieve this goal? more

Resolved Question: Why don't so-called peaceful Muslims stop all the radical Muslims from ruining their religion?

If my family was famous, let's call me the Donatelli's, and our family has thousands of people and were spread around the globe. But every week, every day, somewhere, some Donatelli blew up a building, killed some innocent people at random, beheaded people, planned suicide bombings, hijacked planes, etc. in the name of our Donatelli name, then all the rest of us good Donatelli's would do all that we can to stop these evil bastards from killing and ruining our good name. Especially if it is only a small % of Donatelli's, as peaceful Muslims say the radicals are. So my question is why don't all these good Muslims do more to root out the evil ones if, in fact, they really disagree with what the radicals are doing? They can easily see that an inman or sheikh is evil by the hatred they preach. That's where almost all of it begins, from the wicked leader. I believe the evidence shows that most of the Muslims secretly must approve of what their warrior brothers are doing terrorizing the world in the name of Islam because they too want Islam to take over the world. Otherwise, they are the weakest and most passive of all people on this earth for allowing their religion to be turned into satan. Or maybe it just is from satan, as the evidence would indicate. more

Resolved Question: Is this story too much like Twilight and all the other vampire/werewolf novels out there?

Title: Quicksilver Plot: Quentin Striker is devastated when he return to his family home from work as a city guard to find his parents and younger sister murdered by werewolves. In fact, the majority of villagers at his hometown are also dead: slain by the blood-thirsty shape-changers. In a fit of rage, Quentin vows to the werewolf who killed his family and embarks on a quest of revenge. However, the only way to kill a werewolf is by shooting him or her between the eyes with an arrow made of Quicksilver. And the only genuine Quicksilver left in the entire world is in the possession of a hibernating Dragon, who may be more harm than good if awakened. But it seems as if his fate is doomed, for along the way he is forced into an uneasy alliance with the werewolf who killed his family. To make matters worse, he fell in love with her before he learned her myriad of dark secrets... ==========================> Well, that's about it. By the way, the werewolf girl was forced to kill Quentin's family so that he would go on a quest to find the Quicksilver. Then the werewolf leader could steal it from him and destroy it so that none of their kind are destroyed by it. Because it is made with magical properties so that if it is shot just in the dead center of a solar eclipse, the entire race connected to the victim getting killed will be destroyed. But the Quicksilver arrow has to be shot just at a speficic moment when the sun is covered by the moon. Also, the werewolf woman didn't want to kill his family as she wants nothing more than to become a human. That was why she signed up for the raiding missions, so that she could find a way to become fully human. I won't tell you everything but that also involves the solar eclipse. Well, what do you think? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton in advance! P.S. There are no Vampires, only werewolves. I may introduce the typical races such as Elves, Dwarves, and Goblins too; but there aren't any Vamps. more

Resolved Question: What sort of Labour Prime Minister will we have? (UK)?

I think it is fair to say that whoever wins the Labour Leadership race will be PM in the next few years but what can we expect. I honestly dont know much about the Millibands, I only know how millitant Ed Balls is. I doubt Diane Abbot will get in. What will the country be like, Will it be back to the scrounger culture of Blair and Brown years, will the new Labour PM sign us to the Euro? What sort of Labour Party will we have, will it be Old Labour, "Death to the rich" and council houses for all!! or will New New Labour come into power. Please no answers, "Better than the Tories" as Im not asking that, im asking what can we expect from the Next "New" Labour Party and its Leader. Effectively it is a vote for PM in September. more

Resolved Question: Am i being Narrow Minded?

So i don't know the full story on why Hitler was such a bastard but this guy is summit else! Read the comments and tell if I'm being narrow minded if i am tell me why. (p.s i got angry with the guy and told him he needed to be put away because he agreed with Hitler) futbolangel02 @SinclairisCool Why are you bashing Hitler? America and the British have murdered way more humans than Hitler ever did. Hitler just didn't want the Jews to take over. If someone came to takeover your country you would have done the same thing he did if you were a good leader. Ever wonder what the Jews did that was so bad that made Hitler not like them? SinclairisCool @futbolangel02 Why am i bashing Hitler? 1-He invaded Poland and killed hundreds apon thousands of Polish people because he "didn't like them" 2- He ordered the building of and murdering of millions of: Jewish, black and gay people again because he didn't like them. I don't know what it was that pissed Hitler off so much that he decided the "white race" needed to be "cleansed of it's impurities" (Jews gays and blacks) He was a sick man. If you agree with him, you need to put away. PERMANENTLY. futbolangel02 @SinclairisCool You don't know what I agree with. I proposed a question to point out that you probably didn't have the entire story and it turns out that you don't. You need to check yourself thinking you have some authority to suggest that I need to be put away. You are sickly misinformed if you think you have that power. I think you are narrow minded for closing the book on Hitler without investigating further. Shows low intellect. @futbolangel02 Oh my god, i just can't believe you. im finished. If he reply's what should i say? When i say he "didn't like them" what that is meant to say is that he HATED them. why? i don't know more
