Resolved Question: Why does President Obama embrace the most hated leaders?

Castro, Chavez, Brown, Mandela and soon Milliband. All very dangerous Communists who have rocked the world, caused unimaginable peril in their homeleand but yet Obama greets them with a "Yo Bro" High 5 and a hug! What next? Stalin statues erected in Washington, Pardons for Pol Pot!! Very scary!! However we have a Jewish, Marxist Leader David Milliband coming in soon. So Im sure he will give Obama a good run for his money!! more

Resolved Question: What do you think of my atheistic synopsis of life and Jesus alike?

There have been many alike who are assassinated because the primitively evolved ego is still evolving and so is man. Unfortunately there is just as much good or benefit to evolve out of the same amount of quantifiable badness that occurs in life. This badness leaders inflict upon our selves for the greater good. So historically people who mean well who gain too much following and therefore power are assassinated for the greater good/advancement of man kind. Of course one of them has to be the greatest and martyred. Here is an axiom or paradigm for you: As cave men did we struggle to even contemplate our existence as we looked to the stars barely literate and utter the word Goh! Goh! which became GOD. Oh it must be GOD! Primitively evolved ego blames god and the devil and puts everything in little boxes in the mind in order to recognize and relate to them. This weakness exploited by others for purposes of social division, avarice greed and power over others as we beat our chests in satisfaction. The hunt was successful today! le Panacea/the cure all for all, Our Secret Weapon, axiomatic system from which we can produce logical coherent conclusion and paradigms, In traditional logic, an axiom or postulate is a proposition that is not proved or demonstrated but considered to be either self-evident, or subject to necessary decision. Therefore, its truth is taken for granted, and serves as a starting point for deducing and inferring other (theory dependent) truths. The key aspect of our humanity seems to be our morals and beliefs. The ability to change, adapt, and create the ability to carry out a coherent logical conclusion. This is one factor that allows us to change ourselves and adapt to a changing world. To construct and stabilize our morals we must begin with some principles held as axioms and logically derive from those axioms conclusions which become our morals. Our ability to radically change ourselves and our original axiomatic belief system accounts for the other half of our ability to change, adapt, and create. We have advanced so far in terms of knowledge, society, and technology. Yet there is still so much more to create and discover. What will propel us is ultimately our humanity. And we have seen that stability and change make us human. In this yin-yang sort of duality, these two aspects of our nature–the desire for tradition and stability and the excitement brought on by radical revolution–synergistically combine to form what we call humanity and human nature. We have discovered our secret weapon: two conflicting yet supporting principles that guide our ever-shifting path into the future. In terms of God I think it's very interesting that creationism, (a consequence of the evolving ego) has produced a mental mechanism that can often forgive us for what ever we do, and also creates a solution to what we can't explain. In my opinion we are a very counter productive and self destructive species which still struggles to break the mold of mindless facile and frivolous cultural perpetuation as a result of many given leader types or peerage consumed with avarice, falsely empowering ones self and self preservation. This behavior and moral standards learned and then perpetuated pervasively throughout any given culture. E.G. exploitation of the weak or primitively evolved ego, the sinister inciting coups and the best products that can possibly benefit man kind are not brought to market because the don't make enough profit. Wealth is power and can influence government policy, the cultural foundations of which will typically be built upon the exploitation of others as one capitulates to avarice thoughts and feelings ultimately aspiring to self preserve and acquire power. These standards are set thus learned and perpetuated down through the hierarchical ranks of any given culture. Rotten peerage = rotten culture. No one asks to be born here and no one asks to leave. more

Resolved Question: Name my characters? Slasher movie esque story.?

It's for a slasher. Nothing groundbreaking. Nothing new. I'm just fitting the slasher movie formula because I feel like writing and I can't focus on my other more serious project right now. But yeah :3 Anyway, the characters. Chara 1. _____ Cunningham. He's a boy, somewhere between the ages of 17 and 20, caucasian and lean, but somewhat toned. He has average features and a laid back personality, but at times can be a bully and take things too far. He's single, but looking to score with one of the girls over the weekend. He isn't rich, but his parents are fairly well off, upper middle class I guess. He isn't the leader of any clique or group, but being the wealthier one of his friends, most finance related responsibilities fall on him. He buys pot and alcohol for his friends, but doesn't seem to mind. Chara 2. ____ _____ between the ages of 18 and 20. Somewhat muscular, not ripped or athletic but considerably more toned than the other guys at the weekend retreat. Either Puerto Rican, Italian of some South American background, only ancestral however, he's an American through and through. He has a penchant for aviator sunglasses and he's the "second in command" of the group. He's dating Chara 5. It's an on-off relationship and they break up alot, but they are currently together. Chara 3. ___ ___, Mixed race African-American and Caucasian. Between the age of 18 and 20. Average build, not lean like Chara 1 but not as toned as Chara 2. Character is a pothead and a stoner, more so than the others who do it recreationally. Character is the comic relief of the group as he hopelessly tries to get the girl and is obviously surpassed by the other guys. Characters main reason for being within the group is he is the only one who has his own car *some of the others can drive, but need to resort to using their parents cars with permission*. Somewhat goofy and can take things too far, likes to joke about. Chara 4. ___ ___ age 18 to 20, leader of the gang. Caucasian with auburn hair and an Irish-American heritage. Fairly handsome, but not striking. He has a somewhat jerky arrogance about him that unless your a friend, will make you feel unwelcome and threatened. A complete frat boy type, with the exception he's not in University, he likes drinking games and sexist jokes and whilst a good friend, is a complete asshole. Chara 5. ___ ____ age 18 to 20, caucasian. An average framed girl (a healthy weight, not curvy or slender) whos mildly buxom and has an attractive face. Dating Chara 2., they have a frictional on-off relationship and break up often for petty reasons, but are currently back together. She was never a beauty queen, head cheerleader or most popular girl at high school, but was still fairly popular for whatever reason. She's into fashion (whats trendy and whatnot, instead of the high end fashion magazines, designers and garments) and likes to be treated well, whilst she isn't spoiled, she is always aware of when and where her boyfriend takes her for granted. Chara 6. ___ ____ easily the most stable/neutral of the three girls, between the age of 18 and 20 and some mild trace of ethnicity that gives her tanned/bronzed skin. Maybe Italian or Hispanic? Mildly attractive, but somewhat plain and with an slim, lithe figure. She likes to keep her hair its natural colour and whilst not a vegan or a naturist, has something to say about the climate and whatnot. She can be bitchy at times, but is by far the nicest of the three girls. She's a close friend of Chara 1. as they used to be best friends in childhood, so she isn't particuarly close to any of the other characters. She's sensible, but does know how to have a good time. Chara 7. ____ _____ aged 18 to 20, caucasian. Has a strong crush on both Chara 2. and Chara 4. but only because their status/looks. She can be bitchy at times, but Chara 5. is by far the cruelest of the girls (not to suggest she's malicious). Not really a bimbo and is fairly sure of herself and somewhat intelligent, but can't hold her drink and loves getting drunk. She's promiscuous and often talks about sex either shocking or humouring whoever is with her. She's generally more accepting of Chara 6.'s induction into the group rather than Chara 5.'s.Well of course I have the stereotypes down, its a slasher, duh. > >' And as for the whole black community thing, every character in this a pothead. Did people throw a shit fit when the only black and asian castmembers in the crappy Friday 13th remake were drug addicts? No. Get over yourself! Like I said it wasn't a serious project, so stop trying to make me sound like the pulsating blemish of the writing world. And yes CHARA short for character, most writers shortern words to save time. Shows how much you know. more

Resolved Question: Though on the impossible side, wouldn't this seem like a great idea?

If everyone in the horse section got together to write a horse book. We would all have something different to write such as: Someone will have illnesses Someone will have injuries Someone will have tack And what we do is figure out who will write what and then once certain pages are done we email them to the leader (who will print out the pages and send off the book to get published) and then the book will be put together and sent off. Also because there are so many of us we could take photos of our own horses to put in the book instead of getting a photographer and stables to take photos of. Even though this is an impossible idea is it a good one?And we would take photos of our fields, poisouness plants, brushes, mucking out tools, label a picture of the horse, the quick release knot in easy to follow step by step guides and so on.yeah, there would be so much information. I am always trying to find a good book about horses but can never find a decent one. I thought of this idea then but its impossible. :'(and the money from the book could go to a horse charity!and people could only write in it if they have level 4 or more and have at least 456 best answers. That way it can be troll free.We will just leave it to the proffesionals but I agree it would be funOr the top contributers could look through it at the end but its still impossible.I love melody- If your answers are good then you can write it but we are disscussing the impossible- Im only level 2 he he :P but I would happily put the book together.BQ: Could you reccomend any good horse books as in horses in general that has bits about horses, care, breeds and so on? more

Resolved Question: help me please!! I'm Italian and i'm not good in English!!?

Read the story about King Arthur and answer these questions: 1. When did the legends about King Arthur begin to appear? 2. Where was King Arthur born? 3. What was his father’s name? 4. Who brought him up? 5. How old was he when he became king? 6. What was the name of his magic sword? 7. Where did he live with his wife Guinevere? 28 8. Can you name some of his famous knights? 9. How did they spend their time? 10. Why did King Arthur go to Rome? 11. Did he really die in the battle against his nephew Mordred? 12. Do you like this kind of stories? What is your favourite type of books (or films)? The legends of King Arthur began to appear in the twelfth century, and it is possible that they are based on a Celtic leader in the fifth or sixth century who defended his country against Saxon invasion. King Arthur was the son of Pendragon, and was born in Tintagel in Cornwall. He was brought up by Merlin, an old Celtic magician, and became king of Britain when he was fifteen. He proved his right to be king when he managed to pull a sword from a rock. He had to fight many lords, and when, with Merlin’s help, he defeated them, he received the magic sword Exca1ibur from the Lady of the Lake. He married Guinevere and lived in a caste at Camelot. His knights sat at a round table so that they were all equal since nobody was sitting at the head of the table. Many of the stories in the legends are about the adventures of the knights, among them Lancelot, Perceval, Gawain, and Galahad. They spent their time hunting wild pigs, having feasts, and singing ballads. They often had to kill dragons and giants. At all times they behaved very correctly, with respect, honour, and compassion. Arthur went to Rome to fight the emperor, Lucius, and he left his kingdorn in the hands of his nephew, Mordred. As he was entering Rome, Arthur learned that Mordred had taken control of the kingdom and had captured Guinevere. He came back to England and defeated his nephew, but in the battle was seriously wounded. Arthur told Sir Belvedere, the last surviving knight, to throw Exca1ibur into the water of a lake. He did this, and the sword was caught by a hand which came out of the water and then took the sword below the surface. Arthur was then taken to the Isle of Avalon to get better. We understand that he did not die, but Iives on and will return when his country needs him. The legend says that the following verse is written on his tomb: HIC IACET ARTURUS REX QUONDAM REXQUE FUTURUS (HERE LIES ARTHUR, THE ONCE AND FUTURE KING) more

Resolved Question: Dog Walking Troubles?

I have a one-year-old female English Bull Terrier named Lily. I got her on saturday afternoon, and I took her down to my friends house, which is along our street, through another, down the main street, through a couple more and you're there. She was fine; a bit slow and cautious, but fine. It's a fair old walk, too. So anyway, i brought her back, and she was more confident as we took the same route. So the next day i walked her i got her to the top of the street, and she didn't want to go any further (standing with her head down, tail between her legs, crying). So i took her home, and a couple of hours later me and my brother took her up the path near our house that leads to the front street. She was slow, but steady. We took her round and down into the street, and home. She didn't fuss, cry or bark her first night. She was as good as gold. And then the other morning, i took her out. I eventually got her to the other side of the road, where she did her business and i picked it up, but i had to drag her (literally) around the corner to the dog bin. I brought her home, and she was alright. That was about 8:30 AM. At about half 12, my friend came around. We walked her up the street with some difficulty, and she did her business once again. Between us, we managed to get her up a long stretch of street, and over near a field of horses (she was quite eager to see the horses). Then she wouldn't budge. So we took her back, and she was pulling on the leader like mad. She ws sticking her head through the fence to see a little labrador pup in the garden, and had a good sniff of a passing collie. But every walk i've taken her on since she stopped, and wouldn't budge. It's not easy trying to drag an English Bull, trust me. I'll drag her so far, speak sternly to her, try and encourage her, but it does no good. i just look like an idiot. the only way she'll move is if i take her back. treats didn't even work. Sometimes i can get her right around the block, but most times she won't move on our street. i'm so irritated with her sometimes, and i just wish i could get it through to her to shift, but speaking to her does no good, and i wouldn't dream of hitting her; physical abuse is utterly no way to go about anything. Her previous owner didn't mention anything about her not liking walks (he's a very good friend, and he told us everything about her). So i was wondering if there are any Bull Terrier owners out there, or indeed anyone who is well versed in walking stubborn dogs (Lily is sporadically stuborn, shes okay then shes not, and its not medical. Her pads are fine, as is her stomach, back, etc) who may have had this problem. I've tried her favorite toy and treats - to no avail. Should i just drag her and not look back, and make her come? Will that teach her? Please help! (Civil answers only, please) more

Resolved Question: do you treat your wife the same as muslim men do,read on?

1.Make her feel secure; (sakina- tranquillity) QUIT BEING AGGRESSIVE 2. When you go home say 'Assalmualikum.' It kicks the shaitaan out of your home! 3. Prophet (saw) described the wife as a fragile vessel and said to take care of this vessel that’s fragile. Remember that there is goodness in this vessel so treat it gently. 4. When you advise her, do so in privacy, in a peaceful environment. NOT IN PUBLIC as it’s a type of slandering. 5. Be generous to your wife- it keeps her LOVED 6. Move and let her have your seat. It will warm her heart. 7. AVIOD ANGER. HOW? Keep your wudu at all times. Prophet saw said if your angry, sit down, if you’re sitting, then lie down. Follow the sunnah! 8. Look good and smell great for your wife. IT keeps the LOVE! 9. Don’t be rigid. It will break you. Prophet (saw) said 'I am the best amongst you and I am the best to my wife'. Being rigid and harsh will not bring you close to Allah and neither does it make you more of a man. 10. Listen to your wife-BE a GOOD LISTENER 11. YES to flattering NO to arguing. Arguing is like poison in a marriage. Al zawai said 'When Allah (swt) wants evil for people He will leave them to argue amongst themselves'. 12.. Prophet (saw) said to call your wives with the best name, any name she loves to hear. Prophet (saw) called Aisha 'ya Aish' as an endearment. 13. Give her a pleasant surprise. I.e. if she loves watermelon, bring her one out of the blue. It will grow the love in her heart. 14. Preserve your tongue! Prophet (saw) said the tongue will throw people in the hell fire so watch what you say and how you say it! 15. All of us have shortcoming. Accept her shortcoming and Allah (swt) will put barakh in your marriage. 16. TELL her you appreciate her. SHOW her you appreciate her.. 17. Encourage her to keep good relation with her relative, her mum and dad etc. 18. Speak with her with a topic of HER interest. 19. In front of her relative praise her. Confirm/ realise that she is wonderful, and that she is a good person in front of her family. 20. Give each other gifts. You will love each other more. Prophet (saw) said gifts increases love. 21. Get rid of the routine once in a while, surprise her with something, it will get rid of the rust and polish it! 22. Husnul zaan- We have a demand from Allah (swt) that we have to think good of people. Think good of your spouse. 23. Ignore some of her mistakes- pretend you did not see/hear some of her small mistakes. It was a practise of Ali (RA). It’s like putting a hole in your memory. Don’t save it in your memory! 24. Increase the drops of patience, especially when she is pregnant or when she is on her monthly period. 25. Expect and respect her jealousy. Even Aisha (ra) used to get jealous. 26. Be humble. If your profession is good, respect that she is looking after your children, she is much more than you, she is the leader at home, her strength is your strength, and her success is your successes. 27. Don't put your friends above your wife. 28. Help your wife at home. Prophet (saw) used to help his wives at home and he was the best of creation. He used to sew his own clothes. 29. Help her respect your parents, you can’t force her to love them, but she can be helped to gradually love them. 30. Show your wife she is the ideal wife. 31. Remember your wife in your duaas. It will increase the love and protect it. 32. Leave the past. It brings nothing but pain and grief. It’s not your business. The past is for Allah (swt). 33. Don't try to show her that you are doing her a favour by doing something, like buying food for the house, because in reality we are the courier of sustenance, not the providers, as Allah is the provider. It’s also a way of being humble and thankful to Allah (swt) 34. Shaitaan is your enemy, not your wife. Sometime when husband and wife are talking a fight breaks out, then shaitaan is present there as a third person so he is the real enemy. It is not enough to hate the shaitaan, but you have to see him as an enemy as Allah has commanded. Shaitaan loves divorce. HE comes everyday and sits office and asks the devils what they have done, some say i have made a person steal, or i have made someone drink etc. And one devil will say i have made a man divorce his wife, and he is crowned as the one who has done the best job. 35. Take the food and put it in her mouth. Prophet (saw) taught us this. It’s a blessing. The food doesn’t just go to her stomach, but straight to her heart. It increases the love and mercy between you. 36. Protect your wife from the evil of the shaitaan and mankind. She is like a precious pearl that needs protecting from the envy of human devils and shitaan. 37. Show her your smile. Smile at your wife. IT’S A CHARITY. 38. Small problems/ challenges can become a big problem. Or if there is small thing she didn't like and y more

Resolved Question: What makes a good manager?

I've just been given a promotion to manager of twenty men. My boss expects me to knock them into shape which I am perfectly ok with. The problem is the two biggest piss takers are the bosses brother in-law and his best friend. The brother in-law is also a very good friend of mine. The men have got into the habit of knocking off early and doing as little as possible because they are mobile and hard to keep track of. How would you deal with the two ring leaders because once I have dealt with them the rest will be easy? more

Resolved Question: Is this story too much like Twilight and all the other vampire/werewolf novels out there?

Title: Quicksilver Plot: Quentin Striker is devastated when he return to his family home from work as a city guard to find his parents and younger sister murdered by werewolves. In fact, the majority of villagers at his hometown are also dead: slain by the blood-thirsty shape-changers. In a fit of rage, Quentin vows to the werewolf who killed his family and embarks on a quest of revenge. However, the only way to kill a werewolf is by shooting him or her between the eyes with an arrow made of Quicksilver. And the only genuine Quicksilver left in the entire world is in the possession of a hibernating Dragon, who may be more harm than good if awakened. But it seems as if his fate is doomed, for along the way he is forced into an uneasy alliance with the werewolf who killed his family. To make matters worse, he fell in love with her before he learned her myriad of dark secrets... ==========================> Well, that's about it. By the way, the werewolf girl was forced to kill Quentin's family so that he would go on a quest to find the Quicksilver. Then the werewolf leader could steal it from him and destroy it so that none of their kind are destroyed by it. Because it is made with magical properties so that if it is shot just in the dead center of a solar eclipse, the entire race connected to the victim getting killed will be destroyed. But the Quicksilver arrow has to be shot just at a speficic moment when the sun is covered by the moon. Also, the werewolf woman didn't want to kill his family as she wants nothing more than to become a human. That was why she signed up for the raiding missions, so that she could find a way to become fully human. I won't tell you everything but that also involves the solar eclipse. Well, what do you think? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton in advance! P.S. There are no Vampires, only werewolves. I may introduce the typical races such as Elves, Dwarves, and Goblins too; but there aren't any Vamps. more

What sort of Labour Party will we have, will it be Old Labour, "Death to the rich" and council houses for all!! or will New New Labour come into power. Please no answers, "Better than the Tories" as Im not asking that, im asking what can we expect from the Next "New" Labour Party and its Leader. Effectively it is a vote for PM in September. more

Resolved Question: NAMES FOR A BOOK...SOUND GOOD?

Ok so im writing a story about a girl and her followers...its a clique story. I got so intrigued by the books by Lisi Harrison that i decided to write my own (for fun). Please don't say this is dumb, because witing is my passion, so if you say that, then it just makes me feel stupid. Ok, so descriptions: Alpha: Tiffany Waters Pin straight blonde hair with brown eyes. She is very tan and wears all designer clothes. She is tall, about 5 ft 9 but has gorgeous legs. She has kind of a temper sometimes, but it blows off becuase of shopping. That is her anger cure Beta: Bethany Richards Dirty blonde wavy beach curls. She has sand colored skin and two dimples on her cheeks with some small little light brown freckles. She is the only one brave enough to correct Tiffany, but often times, Bethany is right. Taylor does get annoyed at Bethany sometimes, but only because they know each other so well, and correct every mistake each other makes. Followers: Taylor Sullivan, Brooke Gershwin, and Elle Mastin Taylor Sullivan has short, clean cut (died) dark brown chocolate colored hair. Had glasses but wears contacts. She has fair skin and beautiful brown eyes. She recently gained a lot of weight and lost it all, so is currently very skinny but has a large bust. Brooke Gershwin has shoulder length blonde wavy hair. She is your typical dumb blonde. She is really funny becuase she's completely clueless. She has light blue eyes that are like the sea, and has a mischevious look to her. She's very pretty. Elle Mastin has golden colored hair. She is the only one Tiffany really feels is a threat to her alphaship. She used to be an alpha in a clique at her old school and so she has smart, fresh ideas when Tiffany's go old. Tiffany is worried Elle will try to start her own clique--which she does later in the book, but it doesnt go as planned--so she does everything possible to keep Elle below her alpha level. There is one girl on prove-ation. This means that the clique thinks that she would do good in the clique, but for a period--of proving herself worthy--she has tests of fashion, strength, and leadership. Prove-ation lasts six months for her, and if the clique feels like she proved herself enough, she will join the clique. If not, she goes away. Girl on proveation: Lyra Keller Lyra just moved from New Zealand, but are cute clothes and a cool accent enough to let her in the clique? She has really tan skin, because the hole in the ozone layer is right above New Zealand, so when she moved to the upper east side on NY, she tanned like crazy in america. She has died dark red hair and a gorgeous smile. She gets lots of cute guys becuase of her accent and her interesting choice of clothing. She chooses really hip clothes, and sometimes really unhip clothes, but makes them work either way. Here is tiffanys story: Tiffany was an alpha in a clique in seventh grade. They called themselves TNT because of their names: Tiffany, Natalia, and Taylor. Tiffany was the gorgeous alpha who was a leader to everyone and got all the boys. Natalia was the beta who was the smart one. She had her great ideas, and was a beautiful brunette who had a boyfriend back home where she used to live, in France. Taylor was the follower. She copied everything Natalia said and did, but she didn’t dare ever copy Tiffany. They were the coolest clique at their middle school, Terry Prep, but everything changed when Natalia moved away halfway through the year. Her father got a job back in France, and her and her whole family moved away, and TNT slowly lost touch. Taylor was left to fend for herself and put on a lot of weight, and became a nerd. Tiffany, longing for a clique again, befriended two semi-cool people (Bethany and Brooke). She did their makeup and told them all her hair tricks and bought them outfits and gave them tips on how to make their legs longer and things like that. Tiffany rose to the top, with her new beta, Bethany, and a less clingy follower than Taylor, Brooke. They called themselves ToB. The T stood for Tiffany and the B stood for Bethany and Brooke. The ‘o’ was just there to make it sound better. That was in eighth grade. Then a girl named Elle Mastin moved from Alabama in ninth grade. She was way cooler than Tiffany, so Tiffany befriended her and made Elle live by her rules so she wouldn’t ever outdo her again. She was afraid of Elle sometimes, but that only happened whenever Elle had her smart/funny/gorgeous moment, and outdid Tiffany once again. They called themselves the fab four. Taylor got so jealous of all the awesome girls in the cool clique and she lost all the weight. She read, like, 50 magazines to get all the new fashions and style tips. She was really pretty and had very large breasts, because she put so much fat on them and then lost all the rest of her body’s weight. They looked way larger now that she was skinny. Taylor begged Tiffany to let her back in, and after a couple months on “prove-ation” she finally proved herself worthy of being in Tiffany’s presence. They called themselves the fab five. 1_WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT? 2_SHOULD LYRA BE LET IN THE CLIQUE? 3_ANY IDEAS FOR GOOD THINGS TO HAPPEN IN THE BOOK? 4_TIFFANY MEETS THIS GUY IN ABERCROMBIE, THE WHOLE CLIQUE CALLES HIM THE ABERCROMBIE GUY (lol) WHAT SHOULD HIS NAME BE? 5_ WHAT ARE NAMES OF OTHER GUYS TO DATE THE OTHER GIRLS IN THE CLIQUE? 6_WHAT SHOULD THE SCHOOL THE GIRLS GO TO BE CALLED? 7_WHAT SHOULD THEIR BROTHER SCHOOL FOR BOYS BE CALLED? 8_SOUND OKAY? Thank you so much! Luv yall!!! I really need the help, im stuck on a writers block rite now. THANKS SO MUCH!No i didnt mean a title, i meant names of people. Do they sound good? And, a title could be helpful too :) Luv y'all! more

Resolved Question: Is President Obama a better manager than he is a leader?

A president has to be both a manager and a leader ,but its their leadership qualities for which they are remembered. Will President Obama be remembered for his management ,or his leadership, of the country?Q: "Managership" is about competency, efficiency and organisation. "Leadership" entails more subtle qualities than these. Leaders not only set the course to be taken, but endgender trust ,support, and even love, in those they lead. In war ,it has been said that managers are necessary ,but leaders essential . That is ,many generals are good at getting men and material ready for battle ,but you really want a general with leadership qualities to fight it for you more

Resolved Question: A lot to talk/discuss - so I'll make his one short and quick folks ?

This season ought to be an interesting and exciting one. Chelsea only JUST pipped United to the title last year - yeah it really was too feckin close, 1 point is all they won it by in the end, which shows just how close Sir Alex came to winning the clubs 19th league title, and 4th consecutive title in the clubs history. Over the 38 games, they are still the team alongside Chelsea to beat. The team that will stay VERY close to both these guys is a maturing Arsenal side, which has only gotten better each year but still found wanting short. Question is, even if Arsene Wengers boy's improve from last year - will it be enough to overhaul Chelsea or United , will it be good enough to steal the title on the final day ? i have my doubts - that doesn't mean to say they're not a good side, they're still perhaps the 3rd best side in the prem. Manchester City will a side to watch this year - Mancini will be tested in his first full season in charge, will he do the unthinkable and land the premiership title in the first year ??? doubtful. He's no Mourinho thats for sure - but he is his own man, and we'll learn what Mancini is capable of for sure next season. god this is getting longer than I thought ! ^_^ I feel 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th spots will be fiercely contested and expect a big points margin between 3rd and 4th at the end of this season. This makes Roy's job even harder than ever. Do we have the strength in depth at Liverpool to finish 4th or higher (which I somehow doubt he'll do in his 1st full season in charge, not with the current squad and not without strengthening it) this season ? do we ? One thing is certain - It'll be contested again I feel by Chelsea and United, and if either of these two 'slip up' or have a really bad string of results - i fear the leader will 'race away' with the title, be it United or Chelsea. There is no room for error or slip ups - Fergie knows this, this is why I'm tipping Manchester United to win the premiership this season - and consquently, breaking out 18 titles in the top flight rec...but only just, and only just by 1. need to win 3 more Champions Leagues to break out '5 times' rec btw....so no pressure there then lol. ^_^ I'd like to pay tribute to Ryan Giggs, who will turn 37 sometime this season....and who was exemplary last season and the one before, and state that even though I'm a Liverpool fan - he has been the best player to play in the EPL since its inception. Closely followed by Shearer, Fowler, Bergkamp, Henry, Cantona, Klinsman, Keane... lol Hats off to the lad - Hes been an inspiration to me personally - and he played for the team I dislike the most lol. C. Man U 2. Chelsea 3. Arsenal 4. Liverpool 5. Man City (sorry guys...) 6. Spurs all the best MR ANFIELD ACES ~ " the peoples choice " ~" As for Giggs, what can I say that hasn't already been said? The man is pure class and a tribute to the sport. " couldn't agree with you more m8.lol @ Blue pride the only reason you won titles was cos of Romans Money plus Jose Mourinho's arrival. look forward to seeing how abra's money buys you 5 european cups, 3 Uefa Cups and another 14 league titles lol good luck mate. 50 years remember, your club went 50 years without a league title after 1954/55... more

Resolved Question: Do you think these poems are any good?

I'm 18 and I write poetry a lot, usually just if a topic comes to me, and I wrote one of these a few months ago, the other in about 10 minutes yesterday. I just wanted to seee what other people thought of them, please let me know =) thanks. x Boats lay lifeless on the docks, While the sun is hinged upon the restless rocks. Your feet are betrayed, by the darkness they surrender, Yet your mind is the true, offensive offender. You run with a spring, in your stride; Over the bay, onto the over side. Where you meet your demons and your angels, Who portray a paradise you have never seen, And their leader offers you sumptuous temptation, As the doctor shows you his cantankerous creation You see in the red, red eyes, which he cowers behind That there is a vast chasm of land that he is determined to find. So you find a lifeless boat, and steer yourself home, You wash up on a deserted painting, heartless and alone. But you cannot cry for help, or release your fears, Because they stole your conscience and dried all your tears. So you stumble on, through wilderness and heartbreak, Spotting those lovers who are true, and those who are fake. When you return, to the Garden once more, You find that one, your love, the one you adore Then your tears begin to flow, like an oceans taps that have at last been released But your eyes glaze over and you realise, you are deceased. You reach out your hand, but the devil pulls you back in, Caught in a limbo land, you chose to find your love, and therefore; you chose sin. And as you breathe your last breath On this Earth. You see a sparkle appear, through your pearl dazzled eyes, And you see redemption, Being stolen, By a group of vicious lies He smiles with glee, As he sails out to see, And promises to protect heaven, Earth, you and me. And as you see your lover, through the Devil’s eyes, Love is in death...and now you realise. Now here comes one last revolution, Maybe we’ll die, or maybe we’ll find the solution. Mother hanging over life, Hold my hand, and cut me with a knife. The blood drops once, the blood fills my eyes, When thy pass, I may regret my lies It hurts to break, from the string that attaches me, But breaking the cord, allows my soul to be free How you hear my heart, Begin to Beat Stop to Break. I look for the light, through the trodden mist, But the thorns are sharp, how they cut my fist. Am I of worth to those who bestow me? Break, broken, eaten by the sea. We emerge from the caves, You break into life, and dash through the waves. How we grow like the roses, And how we strike model’s poses Walk with the men, Walk like the women Fall into their arms, and hope for the best. Burnt by the embers His eyes flash through, all he remembers Can you see the light, Do we feel the might, When it feels like were falling down Will you, put up a fight? more

Resolved Question: What about this Bret Hart heel turn?(involves HHH)?

Bret Hart is the leader of the Nexus and will turn heel. They will make the match an elimination match and Bret will leave John Cena for Nexus. Just think, Nexus attacked Vince and Hart has a long stemming rivalry the the McMahons and the wwe. He could be using nexus to avenge the montreal screwjob and take revenge on the entire WWE. And that could be a great way for HHH to make a return as a face and destroy Nexus and Bret Hart at Survivor Series since he is McMahon's son in law and has a history with Bret. Vince will come out at the end of survivor series laughing and Bret will be gone for good, and Vince will finish what he started with the montreal screwjob. more

Voting Question: What do you think of the Poem i Wrote?

Poem 1 Lying in bed looking into space. What am I really doing in this place? Am I being punished 4 the things I have done in my past? But my real thought is how long this pain will last. I’m trying 2 close the door on the mistakes so nobody can see, Now sat up thinking about the man I want to be. A positive leader I say in my heart, But I do not know where to start. I look to my friends and family ….. But all I hear is silence, So this time I get on my knees and pray for God to help, So I can begin to build my new self. Thanks to anyone with any feedback (Positive or negative) I dont know if this poem is good or not i normally just write when i am bored more

Resolved Question: This women is driving me nuts!!!!!?

Ok, im 24 and work in a office with about 12 other women. Its a great job and not to brag, i am good at it. 11 of us are all best friends and get on really well. However, there is 1 women who I can confidently say I HATE. She has only been at the office for a year & half and is CRAP at her job, we've actually had complaints about her from head-office they've said that she is rude with customers and doesn't achieve any goals that she is set. She is about 46 years old. She constantly makes snide bitchy comments. The other day it was just me and her at the table and she said ''you smell bad, its putting me off my sandwich''. I was shocked. Luckily a few friends from across the room heard it. (for the record I do not smell- as I always wash and buy quality perfumes and deodorants). She is about 6 stone over-weight and vulgar (she does sickening burps with her mouth wide open- they stink!). I do not have anything against anyone, I am free spirited and friendly person, but oh my God she is sooooooo common it makes me cringe; when she talks its half cockney and half god knows what. She also talks down to people. This 'woman' got me so mad at the office last thursday that I didn't go into work on the friday. Everyone else on our floor hates her, but its us two that clash the most. Unfortunately my team-leader who is also hated is starting to become mates with her, so she is very little help. Ive requested that I move table and as a result I have been allocated a new seat at the opposite end of the room. I still know that she will wind me up. SHE is a bulldozer in a china shop. Any advise? Revenge tactics are welcome, lol. more

Voting Question: Where should i take my plot from here?

Hi, Basically, im in the process of planning and writing my first novel. Its set in 1970's London and is about 2 families competing for a monopoly in the drugs business. The family that holds the molopoly at the moment is arranging his next shipment and the other family wants to intercept it as a direct challenge to their empire. However, they dont want their own men to do it to give their identity away. The protagonists of the story are a group of 4 burglars who hijack trucks and intercept cargo. Unfortunately for them they hijacked a truck that belonged to the family that wishes to take the monopoly. The family arranges for a girl to lure the leader of the gang to the family house. She does successfully. The head of the family gives him an ultimatum, that his life and the lives of his friends will be spared and they will be paid 10 million pounds to intercept the next shipment from the largest family. Obviously he has to accept. Now, this is where im not sure where to take the plot. I have arranged for the gang leader to contact an independent dealer called ' Nico the Serb '. The protagonist contacts him secretly in order to arrange some sort of insurance in case anything goes wrong, and of course, ultimately, revenge. Im really not sure where to take it now. Im not asking for someone to give me a complete ending, just a few ideas where i could take it, or any suggestions to make the storyline better. Thanks in advance for any help more

Resolved Question: are free masons wolfs in sheep's clothing?

it seem s on the surface they do a lot of good but the leaders of our countries are free mason's so one could only assume they have a hand in the way thing's are run yet every thing is a mess. our main structure's for the country are police, education, health, military, money(banks) etc.. police is a business now give them a crime they give you a crime n0 (no investigating) education is failing nation wide , health make fortune out of pharmaceuticals prescribing drugs far too easy( for money purposes, and military fighting wars we should not. A lot will say this has nothing to do with free masons but if all the leaders are openly a part of this group is their really no direction from them. more

Resolved Question: Im scared of religions?

I just know that if a person does bad he will be sent forever to hellfire, which is exactly what i fear of. I am a Muslim, i respect all Abrahamic Religions and have many friends of their kind. I follow Islamic beliefs (such as Muhammad was the last prophet and that i must circumcise....) but today i read something on the net that freaked the hell out of me: i found out that Muhammad was a false prophet but i dont believe it. And the bible says that false prophets must die and jews predicted the coming of a false prophet that has ''black magic or something'' and i fear that he is muhammad. Plus, all revelations must be given from god or else he must perish but Muhammad wrote the Quraan from Angel Gabriel not from God. I am truly scared of going to hell and i will not change religions because changing religions will send you to hell even if you converted to the true religion What i do to keep beleiving: - I always think, Abrahamic Religions: Islam, Judiasm, Christianity all believe in the same god so even if i was in an incorrect religion but i believe in God and worship him, i will be safe. Becuase Jews worship God, Muslims greatly worship God, Christians worship both God and Jesus - Since my childhood i have always been a good person and yet i still am (never drank alcohol ever, lie a real few times in my life, never seen pornography in about 8 years, never commited sexual acts except with my wife, profane occasionaly....). Now, let's pretend a person like me is in a wrong religion but performs these nice acts, he wouldnt be sent to hell would he? He would be sent to hell for helping others and being a perfect being? And let's pretend another person is in the true religion but has commited rape, murder, drug use, molestation, child abuse, torture, slavery, will he be sent to heaven? Just because he belongs to the right religion but is bad so he's sent to heaven? - The main objectiveto enter heaven is to worship god and accept him as your leader and most powerful. I think: As long as i believe and worship hs holiness, i will be safe. -Let's pretend Muhammad WAS a false prophet and was sent to hell, god wouldnt send his followers to hell too, it's not their fault. What do you guys think about this, im freaking my mind off more

Resolved Question: Do world leaders REALLY understand? Can you give critique please?

Wrong Decisions-This is maybe a little rage at the Tories, not specifically though(but i'm not willing for this to turn into a politics war ground) and also others in power, mis-using it. Free-verse if you don't mind. At the stand, all the right words are said to win over. What's gonna happen about the fragile environment and all those unknown "benefits" you'll introduce. But my good sir, where are those mandatory cuts? The words you said make up your throne of power and the lucrative promises made hold you steady. But your solution while money goes up in flames seems to be purging the poor so much more. Outside my house I see the lorries carrying timber, ironically after you said our woods need preserving. Well I must admit, my idea of preservation isn't sawdust dunes where once stalwart trees stood. I sympathise that money might be dwindling away, but in my mind I don't think the right option was to throw poor Mrs Gardner out of her comfort zone when cash may have been hard for her to obtain? And these promises kept under wraps for a surprise, I guess we see now a blanket was thrown over them. If unveiled when people were deciding who would rule, your block in the graph would have crumbled to nothing. Whilst you portray yourself as the savior of the dying day, we know it was you who delivered the fatal wounds. But now we're in the middle of the tunnel you led us through, so it seems that the true price of freedom will be debt.Deniability, hmm yes I agree...muchYeah that's exactly it Rosa, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer, why that is considered fair I don't know. more

Resolved Question: Question about the psychology of belief?

Do you think that some people are prone to believing,/atheism? It is well understood that some people have an ability to be (for example) a great pianist or have a natural ability to play music, rather like others who can combine words that make most say"Wow I could never have thought of that",others are natural leaders, but basically those who stand head and shoulders above others in a particular field seem to have an in built hard wired ability, This beggars the question are some people hard wired to either believe or to not believe, they can`t help it,we are a victim of our own physiological and psychological make up, Right so that`s going to upset a few who will say that some "born again" people have come to learn/accept their version of the truth,,however I know I what I believe and accept what I consider to be the truth based on ideologies that sit well with my way of thinking, Do we have a natural ability to become either devout or follow an atheist path?,we can`t help it,as I can`t help painting things others have no ability to do,are we hard wired ? Although these "hard wired" connections can be broken by a "revelation" (and I use that term loosely) to become the opposite,a bad person can convert to being a good person for example, So basically are we hard wired (to some extent) during our foetal growth,to be prone to being spiritual or not, I will post this question in other categories to gain opinions from as many as possible,, more

Voting Question: How can I perform My planner job better?

Started 6 months ago as project planner working in a corporate enviroments - The project a very complex, no two projects are ever the same. My job is to create and monitor plans for the entire project - I have no control over anything, but have bend to bosses and clients requirements for plans. The progress and information on the plan is a result of everyones input - getting progress is very difficult, and getting engineers to agree on the progress is more difficult, getting work lists is another challenge. Sometimes the information is very vague from engineers and they won't commit - The Management won't decide on we are going to start certain bits of work, or won't make decisions. I have to present plans to clients - but the my bosses shrink back, and point to me as it being my plan - yet I have not authority at all. The technical managers ask me for progress updates, you would have through they might know whats going on in their project. They attend the technical meetings - I am just on the administration - I don't get invited. Yet will this lack of info and indecision I am expected to create a plan. I think because its such a compex project the management are struggling to make plans and understand the project. Am I just making excuses, and is the way it is for everyone? Also to add to the we seem to have other planners who all work in different ways, we don't have a planning organisation to verify, support, and have a set of best practises, or a team leader who understands the job we do. Honestly it feels like I am running my own business rather than working in corporate enviroment. more

Resolved Question: why wont my Yashica T4 wind on?

My Yashica T4 has been loaded with a film which has advanced to frame number 1 and will now not advance any further although the shutter will still fire. A new battery has been placed in the camera alongside a new film, I have tried the reset method noted on page 64 of the T4 manual and this has made no difference. The camera is in good condition and the motor works as the film will advance to the first frame when the film is loaded so this is not an issue with the film leader, it will also rewind the film. Can anyone suggest what may be wrong with this camera? Please do not post answers if you don't know because the question then gets resolved with no actual answer. Thanks. more

Resolved Question: UK: Has David Miliband learnt a little too much from Tony Blair?

When David Miliband learns to use the words 'Clearly' and the phrases 'Y'know' and 'It's time to move on' will his training be complete? David Miliband on the Andrew Marr show this morning. I knew he was a Blairite but the machine gun delivery (so people can't get a word in edge ways) the hand gestures, the false smiles, the leaning forward, the condescending tone, the manic stare (already?) they're all there! Is he really Tony Blair Mk II - if he is how can that be a good thing for the Labour Party - didn't they want (to use Tony's phrase) to 'move on' from his reign as leader? more

Resolved Question: Diane Abbott's claim to the Labour leadership ..?

Diane Abbott is going around telling anyone that will listen that she entered the leadership race because she was approached by so many people that she felt that she had to put her name forward. http://www.tribunemagazine.co.uk/2010/05/31/diane-abbotts-statement/ However, to be included on the ballot paper each candidate needs 32 sitting MP's to nominate their choice for leader. Diane Abbott so far has just one so far. Let us say that she did in fact get onto the ballot paper ..... and consider her record over the last few years ..... would the Labour Party Conference really be daft enough to vote her in? Do you think that she would make a good leader of the opposition? more

Resolved Question: If the UK was to get rid of the Monarchy, who should be the first president of the UK?

I think the Queen has done a great job as head of state but can't see how the monarchy can continue since the head of state is also head of the Church of England which to me seems to be becoming irrelevant and Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Charles are all divorcees and I see the only way of getting people like The Duchess of York off the royal gravy train is to get rid of the monarchy. I don't hold out any hope William and Harry will be of much use as role models either. Wouldn't it show the UK in a better light if it was possible for someone from humble beginnings to become the nation's leader and for the people to have a say in who that leader is?In reply to William's fair point about the role of "defender of faiths", could that not also be seen as the monarchy trying to stay relevant and "embrace" other religions with whom the Church of England has traditionally opposed? I suspect it might be more to do with the monarchy trying to gold onto power"patroit" also raise the point "what would happen to the Prime Minister?" and one could argue having the british monarchy on top of the house of Lords and house of commons and the massive expense all that must entail, in times of cut backs, can we arrord that much unproductive and costly pomp, ceremony, expenses, security, banquets and so on? more

Resolved Question: musicans, please help someone in need?

i had many ideas to learn many instruments, i said keyboard and violin and flute and saxophone and mandolin and much much MUCH more than that. i bought an electric guitar and then i said i don't want to learn it and my dad got angry. im SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO passionate about music and please don't say that i don't like music, i like it so much. it is my life, it is my world and my home. i want to buy one more instrument but i don't want to cost my father more money, but i cant choose. some people say: look for the one that you are most comfortable with. when i feel that i am comfortable with one of the instruments, then i feel comfortable with another one (just like im losing my memory containing the love for the previous instrument). many people say that im good at keyboard, and i play little on keyboard (i just play the right hand) and i have perfect pitch (not TOO perfect) i can play some songs by hearing them. i played undertaker, titanic, power puff girls Z, loneliness from naruto and more, all by pitch. but when i feel that i should learn the keyboard, times come to me saying: the keyboard is not a good instrument, it don't have its own sound ( i don't feel that i have an identity plus i like to be unique) and in a band, the keyboard can be barely sounded in bands, they usually forget about keyboards. if i will play an instrument, i want to be the front man, the leader, the melodic. and i DON'T like piano. i like any genre of music, what matters me is the song, not the genre, plus i like ancient songs like indian, japanese and of course i like arabian because im arabian! the genres i like: rock, metal, arabian, indian, japanese, celtic, chinese, techno, trance and fusion. if you ask me, generally, i prefer an acoustic (not electric) instrument, that i can carry it outside home and play it in a garden or beach (but NOT acoustic guitar). and i don't prefer wind instruments because i have weak lungs. i cant try instruments to see which is better because the stores on our country don't let you try instruments. please tell me what do i need to do exactly to choose an instrument in a simple way. more

Resolved Question: what is the likely future of the UK and European economy for the next 5 - 10 years?

After the budget info on cuts being announced and a lot more on the Horizon likely to be coming in the near future. It's clear the Gov has on a damage limitation attitude to the economy for the next 5 years. unemployment is at 2.5 mill and is a lot higher when you think about the kids in education in school, collegee and uni, that graduate year on year putting more pressure on the jobs market and resources (with degree which increasingly mean less each year). Iv been looking for full time permanent work for 5 months and forced to take part time work (due to going travel and then coming back... if you want a stable future never live your dreams... and do not leave a full time job even if you hate it!) Most people I know have no idea what the solution is to the economy (maybe there isn't one) or they just don'tnt want to think about it as they fear losing their job and don't know what they would do. If people knew where the economy is gowing then we can plan for the future but no one is telling us. Ok job growth will happen in social care, education, medical docs/ nurses in the future but these jobs do not generate money they require it. Jobs that generate money for a country are those that make things in your bundarieses or in your land borders e.g. oil extraction, raw material extraction, manufacturing - cars, electrical goods, food etc. green energy? BUT WE DONT MAKE THESE THINGS ANY MORE!. One law I I thought could help solve the problem is: - The UK Invent a lot of products and is one of the world leaders, if we made it illegal to outsource anythe products division to outside countrie e.g. if the product is designed by a british citizen the product must be built here and marketed and sold from britain to the rest of the world acquiring the resources to make the product from abroad (if needed). good ensure job security in the UK and high employment, Bad - may force intelligent people to leave the UK and force the price of products up. So where do you think the UK and europe will be in 5 - 10 years how can we ensure our future for our growing population? more

Resolved Question: Is Barry Obama's response worse than Bush's response to Katrina?

Barry doesn't have a clue. Is he going to do anything? While he is sitting up at the White House searching for the teleprompter or a good advisor, our beaches, wild life, way of life, ocean, livelihood, environment, etc... is being destroyed. Yes, it is BP's responsibility (as he has loudly told us), but he is SUPPOSE to be our leader. When is he going to start leading? I think he needs to find that teleprompter, so he will know what to do. He could ask one of the idiots he has working with him. The problem is they don't know, and they don't care. When do you think he is going to figure it out? In the meantime, everything we know is being destroyed!!! Do something, anything. It's better than NOTHING. You Obama supporters....can you come up with another good excuse why your idiot hasn't done more?? I am disgusted!By the way, we can get over a hurricane because it will end. We will not be able to get over this for at least a century. FEMA is joke! That were a cluster **** during Katrina, and they are a cluster **** now. What we need is a leader!!!Well, half a century, but what damn difference does it make. We are in the present.John, I'm not going to take my medication. BARRY is the president. He is ultimatley responsible. If he doesn't know what to do, then he needs to find someone that does amongst the rest of the idiots that he has working for him . Where are you writing your intelligent answer from....New York? It's easy to say" just hold now" when we are the ones that are experiencing it. Yea, I'm mad. We need a leader not an imbecile. As far as Katrina is concerned JOHN, I experienced it. I'm experiencing this, too. Don't preach to me about what the hell you don't know. You're probably sitting up North somewhere preaching your BS. He's not a good leader, and there is nothing that you can say that can convince me otherwise. Smoke on that awhile. By the way, do you have a job? Probably you are a typical liberal democrat. Resolved Question: What gave Britain or the British people the right to control India?

I don't know much about this topic so I'm not sure if control is the right word but you know what I mean. In other words why did India or the Indian people let the British take control (if thats what they did) over India? Many people I've asked say that the British took control at will, they invaded India. But you see I don't think the British did take control over India by force because I cannot see how a civilized country such as Britain would take over a country by force. The Indian people or most of the Indian people would have allowed Britain to take over because it must have been advantageous for them (Indian people). The Indians must have got something and something really good out of it. so I'll go back to my original question who gave Britain the right to rule India? My guess is the Indian people themseleves and if thats the case what did the Indians get out of it or why did they do this. Of course the other alternative (what other people have been saying is right) is India did not give Britain the right to control India and Britain just invaded it by force. I can't see this happening for three reasons. The first reason being another country such as Germany, China or any other would look and say to themselves, "hang on a minute this really isn't fair, there's the Indian people minding their own business and living their own life in their own country and there's the Brits just going in doing what they want at the expense of the Indian people and of India itself. I think I'm going to send in my army and help the Indians out because this isn't fair. I'll also ask other world leaders to help support the Indian people". So this is the first reason. I'm sure another world leader or world leaders of other countries would not stand by and let Britain just do as they please. The second reason why I think Britain wouldn't have done this by force is the Indian people too have their own army and would have fought the Brits. And even if the Indians lost their battles the Indian people wouldn't simply sit back and say "oh ok you've defeated us so I'll guess we'll just have to do as you want and give all our taxes to you Brits. Come in my house and take what you want since there's nothing I can do as the Indian army have been defeated". Now you see thats just silly, the Indian people would have fought even after their Army was defeated. My third and most important reason is as I said Britain was a civilized country and the people that lived in it and governed it believed in free speech, democracy, human rights etc. So the British Prime Minister or the British Monarch were hardly likely to have attitude of doing what they want and to hell with everyone else. Look at it like this: Innocent Indian to Britsh PM: Excuse me Sir this is my country, I live in it and it has been built over hundreds of years by my forefathers. I don't want you to rule this country and I don't want to be ruled by you. I, along with other Indians, will elect who I want my country to be governed by so could you be on your way. PM or Queen to innocent Indian: Tough. I'll do what I want wether you like it or not because i have a bigger army and I'm better. If you want to try and stop me bring it on. Now you see that's unlikely. So if any can shed any light on this that would be good. Who gave the Britains the right to rule India? Please bear in mind I'm a layman so please don't use too much jargon. Thanks. more

Resolved Question: What title should I use?

Hello there, Considering the fact that so many novels (save The Lord of the Rings epic) have good old dragons and their haughty riders (besides Eragon...somewhat), I was thinking of writing a novel where dragons (by the way, a dragon's real name is Wyvern) are bad and the bane of humanity's existence. There will be no elves, dwarves, or faerie in this story. I may use Wizards and Witches, but for now I won't. The basic plot is bellow and I was wondering if you'd think I should write it. After the famous dragonslayer (name to be decided) stole into the lair of the kign and queen Wyvern and killed the queen, the king Wyvern got so angry that he used all his Wyvern magyk and transformed it into a curse upon the human race. It all happened so fast and the famous dragonslayer got killed as a result. The rest of the Wyverns (because their leaders were gone) fell into disaray. Most were killed by other knights, noblemen, barons, and the like. Some fled back to the far-off island where they came from. After many years, the Wyvern became a legend and a myth as they were never seen of nor heard of again in the realm. The people soon forgot all about the Wyvern and the curse from their king untilt he day the king of the land was killed by the poisoness bite of a huge, black snake. Dreadfully soon, thousands of people died to snake attacks. The kingdom fell into dissaray and chaos ruled. Into this scene of utter confussion and terror enters the hero of our story who's name is also to be decided as of yet. He is a knight who comes to the capital of the kingdom in search of adventure and a job. He gets both in a form that he had never expected. The queen of the kingdom was bitten by a Black Fang (as the snakes became called) but it was only a small scratch as the court wizard managed to destroy it before it got too far. Unfortunately, he used up all his powers and died, but not before uttering two words that sound like a name. The name is still to be decided but the common theory is that it will lead you to the place where the keystone lies in getting rid of the Wyvern's Curse. However, nobody wants to take up the quest because everyone fears they will die just like the wizard did and he was the most powerful man alive. When the hero of our story finds this out from the Lord Regent (the guy who takes over ruling the kingdom until the queen gets better), he agrees to hunt down the meaning of the name and find the cure to stopping the Wyvern's Curse. Well, that's all for now. I was thinking that the cure could lie in the sacrifice of a Wyvern during a Solar Eclipse in a certain ritual or something. Should he fall in love with the queen after being granted leave to see her state so that he gets a good idea of how bad the Curse really is? Also, what title should I use for the book if I write it. The options I had in mind are bellow... 1) The Wyvern's Curse 2) Black Fang 3) George's Dragon (I'm consdiering using this as a remake of Saint George and the Dragon) 4) Death Pact 5) Wyvern Quest 6) Trail of Blood 7) Apocalypse Point Thanks a ton for any ideas you have about the story and/or the title. Also, if you think of a title on your own, I'd be glad to hear it. Thanks again!! more

Voting Question: What will Gordon Brown do now?

Now that he has resigned as the labour leader. I found that to be very dramatic; on the other hand maybe he has had enough and has no energy left inside him. I did feel very sad for him when he came on tv yesterday standing next to his wife Sarah who looked visibly upset. I think a break will do him the world of good, and he can spend some quality time with his family.Yes, i did hear he wanted to do charity work. Well i think that is a good thing and will help to develop the image of the labour party. He needs to get his strength back. more

Resolved Question: should i trust this numerologists claiming to be able to help me?!?!?!?

Laurence, I have life altering news and information for you! I'm very concerned that you are not getting what you deserve from life. Instead of just focusing on the rich and famous people that take up so much of my time and attention, I am seeing a clear vision that my dedication should lie elsewhere, for those people have enough of everything. I have been on television and radio trying to assist as many people as possible, from religious leaders to politicians, so I am certain that you have heard of me or seen me. There is a strong desire for me to personally help people just like you. This is not only what I need to do but what I want to do! Visions constantly fill my head of the people I must assist, people just like you Laurence! The desire to help you is overwhelming. It is apparent to me that you are an amazingly good person. You have given so much of yourself to others and finally, after all this time, something better is coming to you! Looking at your chart, I know that you desperately need my guidance. It is now time for me to focus on your problems and YOUR problems only! You certainly aren't lacking in having wonderful goals, but is seems as though someone or something is always interfering with your progress. If you had a clear path to your success, there is no doubt you could go far! It concerns me because this particular situation or perhaps numerous bad situations are trapping you causing you to feel like you are at a dead end. Whether it is your relationship that is causing the problem, or a life that you feel is going nowhere fast, you are caught in a rut and feeling terribly unlucky which is paralyzing any attempt to progress. Like many people I help, you too are dwelling on the past and regretting opportunities that could have been. This is a detriment to you in trying to handle your problems of today. You look at others with envy that seem to have "it all." You think those with romance and riches are luckier than you. You are often wondering how you can catch the same streak of good luck that those you envy have found. Then there's the MONEY! If you only had a little help and a little luck then you'd have all the money you would ever want or need! What is worse than all of this is that you don't believe there is anyone whom you can turn to, much less trust, who truly understands what you are feeling and experiencing. Laurence, I completely and totally understand where you are coming from! The reason I understand is because I know you are experiencing a crisis in your life. I happen to realize that you are at a point in your life when things must change, or else! You see, together you and I can be a team. You CAN become one of those lucky people that you have envied all this time from afar. Your clouds can have a silver lining. You don't have to watch from the side lines any more. You too can have happier days just like the ones in your dreams. Knowing when opportunities occur and more importantly how to take full advantage of those opportunities is the key to luck and success! I, my friend, know just how to do that. Sure, you're thinking right this very minute that you have heard all this before because you have already received similar letters each month. There are pseudo psychics and astrologers claiming they can promise you everything but always delivering absolutely nothing. They truly have no idea what in the world they are talking about. The very situation you are in now proves that point exactly! You, my dear, have been let down far too many times. All you want is to not be fooled over and over again. You need to know that this time you WILL get everything you need to make the difference that you so much deserve in life. It is obvious to me that when you are truly in need of help, that is when you are the least willing and the least likely to ask for it. You desperately wish that those who care for you would know what you are thinking and feeling. You, however, choose to be strong and silent because you don't want to be a burden to those closest to you. What I see is that you have trusted the wrong people and now you are nowhere that you should be. You are unfortunately unable to see help when it presents itself to you. Isn't it time you stopped letting your last chance at happiness slip through your finger tips? I can see that you won't and can't let it happen again. Because I care about you, I sense what you are feeling, thinking, and going through. Many of my close friends were in the exact same position as you right this very minute! Not knowing their way to success, they too experienced despair and confusion. Just like you, they thought no one cared about them or the outcome of their lives. After asking for my help, I was able to show them the way from the depths of misery to the heights of the rich life. With my help and guidance, th more
