Open Question: How can I get my line in marching band straighter?

In my marching band, we have a line of eight people who NEED to dress it better. There are four veteran marchers (me, a clarinet, and two other flutes) in the back of the line, who dress it perfectly every time. However, the front of the line is comprised of three freshman clarinets (only one of whom understands what a straight line, or even being in time, means), and a VERY bad sophomore mellophone (this is his second year). I'm not on leadership, but my section leader is in my line. How can I or my section leader fix this line? It's the only bad one on the field. It's a fast part of the show (about 156 BPM), and it rotates in various directions for around 64 counts. Help! more

Open Question: Please read, if you have time. Criticism and praise appreciated, but criticism is more useful--->?

This is just a supplementary little side story I came up with so I could try to understand my characters a little better. It's not supposed to have a plot really, it's just mainly dialogue. If it's a little wordy, I wasn't writing for others' eyes, it was mainly for my benefit. I'd just like to know what you think, so when I work on the main story, I can apply your critique. Tired Bastian looked at me with tired eyes. “Alex, I can’t do this anymore. What we can do, well, it’s so little. I’m tired of being the privileged Prince. I’m tired of having more food and clothing than I know what to do with, when I’ve spent time in the Lesser City’s slums. I’m tired of being in charge. I’m tired of having to make decisions, Alex. What am I supposed to do when a man is brought to me on Trial Day for theft of food for his four year old daughter and pregnant wife? And yet the storekeeper he stole the food from is just as impoverished as he is. He needs the coin for his own family. “Alex, I had to judge him today. I had to fine the man who stole, when I wish I could have given him all the food in the kitchens, and given the storekeeper enough coin to keep his store going for another year. I feel like I’m not doing enough. I’m just so tired.” As usual, we were in my room. I was at my desk by the window, copying out maps. When Bastian had come in wearily and collapsed onto my bed, I had thought that maybe the late nights and long days were starting to catch up to him. Now I began to think that the irregular hours were the least of Bastian’s troubles. I set aside the map and looked at him, really looked at him. To my blind eye, he looked thinner than he used to. Good looking, of course. He always had been. But sharper around the cheekbones, bags under his eyes. His blue eyes were as stunning as they ever were, of course, but now they held a weariness and sadness they had never held before. And just his posture as he sat up communicated a bone-deep tiredness of the body and soul. I hadn’t noticed before, and I was ashamed. In my defense, Bastian was a very good actor. Around others, he appeared as fearless and capable as always. Alone with me now, though, he had let down his guard. And I could have kicked myself for not seeing already how worn out he was. That was just the physical aspect of it. With my Sight, I examined him. His aura, which was normally a soft glow of calming colors- blue, green, purple- was jagged. Flashes of energy spiked about his figure. I was alarmed. Bastian was at his breaking point, and I, his cousin, his oldest friend, his confidante in all things, hadn’t seen it. “Oh, Bastian,” I whispered. “I’m so sorry.” He glanced at me, surprised. “What are you sorry about? I’m the one who should be apologizing to you, griping about my life when I know I’m so well off.” He gave me a small smile. I could have cried. I left my desk and went to sit beside him on my bed as we had done as children. “Bastian, don’t you know that even you deserve a break? Your job is far from easy, and you need a rest.” He began to protest. I shook my head. “Damn it, Bastian. You’re the only hope our kingdom has. You can’t drive yourself into the ground like this. Mat and I, we have our talents. Aster has his. You, now you. You’re the leader. People will follow you wherever you go. I would. So won’t you please understand that you’re the kindest, most just Prince anyone could wish for? You may feel like you don’t do enough, but you do all you can. It’s all we can do, Bast.” He closed his eyes. “You flatter me.” “I don’t,” I snapped. “I mean every word I say.” I softened my tone as I continued, “Besides, don’t you know we’re in this together? Anytime it gets too much for you, you know that I’m here, and so is Mat. And Aster is only a ride away.” He nodded. “I know. But- I’m still tired.”EDIT: Sunpies, I know. :/ He does come across as Larry Sue-ish at times, which I've been trying to avoid like the plague in the actual main story. This is more for my own entertainment, and I indulged myself a bit. Bastian's main fault in the "novel", though, is propensity not to care about what the others think. This come of being royalty, I suppose, but he'll listen the others ideas out, then he'll go ahead and do whatever he thinks is best anyway... He also has another significant flaw, but it doesn't come into play until later in the story... (: more

Resolved Question: What do you think? of my story?

Plans for my life: get a million dollars, like that’s going to happen. My life started to be a disaster when all the adults and parents died out. It wasn’t very quiet, I mean. Kids were breaking into shop and hurting each other. It was terrible. I have to say, I was one of those people. I had to survive and not lot of kids went to the supermarket. Didn’t they know that game consoles and skimpy dresses are going to help them with the future years too come? I cut and died my hair and drew markings on my face. I grabbed one of my big bags and threw food, my tent and other essentials into it and then I was off. I figured the safest place to be would be the forest; the city would be filled with kids, trying to get their hands onto food. So I set off. It was scary at first, sleeping in a tent at night. The woods rustled and once or twice, I thought I heard voices but I was mistaken, I think I ended up in a casino when I was sick of the forest. I needed a tribe who knew what leadership and respect meant. Not those cannibals that thought of themselves as ‘leaders’ The casino was loud and people stared at me when I came in but soon they got back to their games. People were playing cards, roulette and other games. People had been gambling on cock fights, dog fights and even human fights outside and drunken girls and boys were laughing and singing loudly. I hadn’t been in the city for three months but in that time I stole books and learnt how to hunt and survival. It will be good to get my hands on some water, even if had to trade for it. I sat on the stool near the bar and leaned forward. My brown bangs fell in my eyes, shielding them from the outside but still allowing me to see. “What do ya’ want” the guy at the bar asked me. “Just water” I said still looking down. His eyes stared at me like I was crazy. My black eyes returned his gaze as I raised my head. A minute passed and we stared at each other until I got sick of it and raised my eyebrow “Is there a problem?” I asked. He reached under the counter and brought out a bottle of water. I reached in my bag to bring out something to trade with but the barman held his hand out. “You seem like a good kid, on the house” he pushed the bottle of water towards me and I bowed my head in thanks. I got off the stool and walked towards the door. That guy. Why did he act like an adult? I don’t know. He seemed nice enough. A set of hands wrapped round my waist and swung me around in a circle. A voice behind me laughed. “Cleo, what are you doing in a place like this, I thought you went all tree hugger on me.” I turned my head to face the person who had grabbed me. “Why, hello Arrow. Miss me?” his face spread into a grin and his white teeth gleamed. His red hair hung limply in his eyes, which were still blue. He had grown a lot taller and stronger than I last saw him though “You do remember me!” He swung me around again and then set me on my feet. He turned around to a group of guys who were laughing. “You owe me a drink Ace” a boy with blonde hair was sulking in the corner. He stuck his finger up at Arrow but Arrow just laughed. “That’s Ace, he can be a pain sometimes” I laughed. “Come on and meet them, they are really nice once you get to know them” He grabbed my hand and dragged me to the chairs they were all sitting in. Four guys sat on each chair. Ace was sulking but had moved closer. A guy with blue hair looked me up and down . "its rude to stare you know" i said to him smirking a little but still smiling. he leaned back against the chair and returned my smile. "okay so the guy with the blue hair is Tom, the guy with the dread locks is Rock , youve seen Ace and the guy with the black hair is Vic. Guys this is Cleo. I met her when she left" he smiled and i lifted my hand in a hi sorta way. "Why did you leave" The guy with the dreadlocks, Rock i think it was, asked. " i figured it would be the safest place. well i thought that then" I lifted the sleeve of my bright blue shirt and showed multiple scars.there was a long one streching from my wrist and then going up about 20cm. Arrow was inspecting them, looking worried "what bit you" Ace had moved closer , trying to get a good look at the scars. i shrugged my shoulders. "nothing, the Dreamers were in the forest, looking for some people to kill and eventually eat" i said with a disgusted look.it has no ending yet because i have not finished it yet. i just wanted to get your feedback on it so far more

Open Question: Jesus does not “ask” anyone to follow him. He calls all to follow?

I do not know to what degree or in what manner leaders of various religions call their hearers to follow them. My thoughts on this are influenced and shaped by Jesus, a Jew. He was born amongst them, in their culture, faith and country. When he began his teaching ministry, as is recorded, he shook those listeners in his presence. After reading a passage in the synagogue from Isaiah he proclaimed the scripture (commonly regarded by Jews as a messianic prophesy) was fulfilled in their presence, “today”. They were incensed. So, began a teaching ministry always at odds with the deep-rooted traditions which characterized Jewish faith, but always allied with Moses and the prophets. What soon became evident to all was Jesus was not just talking, but calling men to follow him. He made quite clear all were to count the cost before electing to follow after him because assuredly they would be cast out of the synagogues and despised by even their own family. No one was to be enticed or lured to follow him, but only as each became convicted of their own wretched sinful state and put their faith in the one who forgives sins were men to come to him. One of the early problems which arose in the church was in the apostles’ lifetime concerned Jews who had converted to become followers of Jesus. There were false teachers, both from within and without the church who began teaching two things. One: They (Jewish Christians) must keep the practice of circumcision. Two: They must keep the law. This is a classic predicament for novices and non-believers. Do I need to continue to keep my old faith practices? Should I continue to keep my old faith practices? Surely, it’s alright for me to continue to keep my old faith practices? There is an instance in the life of Jesus which speaks to this question. He had gone off to a separate place with three of his disciples. Suddenly, they saw him transfigured before their eyes speaking with Moses and Elijah. As Peter is at a loss to understand what he has just witnessed he speaks out: Let us build a tabernacle for you, Lord. One for Moses __. He is interrupted by a voice: “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.” The indelible lesson imprinted in the minds of Peter and the other apostles by this message was that commitment to Jesus as Lord and Savior was not something to be enhanced, touched up and made better by human additions however well-intentioned or whether it were Moses or any of the prophets. I am mindful Mary, the mother of Jesus is one who has been juxtaposed by many in the position of kind of honorable assistant and aide to Jesus. It is significant the words she spoke about Jesus and which were preserved by the Holy Spirit on the occasion of Jesus’ first miracle at Cana: Whatever he tells you to do, do it. Contrary to what some of my dear brethren speak, Jesus does not “ask” anyone to follow him. He calls all to follow. He tells his followers what to do, but before ever getting to that point one most “repent”, that is, “change one’s way of thinking” and be converted. Then, as a disciple, I do whatever he tells me to do. Christians, feel free to clarify: NO ATHEISTS ALLOWED please. more

Open Question: Chicago Bears QB Position?

I'm a Bears fan and honestly Cutler is not living up to the hype. I like him but nope he needs a kick up the ass and honestly I think Collins, Hanie and LeFevour are all decent QB's who honestly have shown that they can hold the team up to a possible Play Off run Cutler does not. Cutler is good but also lazy and not a real team leader. Collins I think honestly should start and that will force Cutler to train and play harder, faster, better and stronger. Collins a 16 year veteran would be good for the team. And who else thinks if we an fix the holes in the Offensive line we could be a viable Play Off team next year. Cutler - CMPATT YDS CMP%YPA LNG TD INT SACKRAT 3365553666 60.56.61 71 27 26 35 76.8 Collins - CMPATT YDS CMP%YPA LNG TD INT SACKRAT 1223144 52.26.26 46 0 0 2 71.6 Hanie - CMPATT YDS CMP%YPA LNG TD INT SACKRAT 3 711 42.91.57 5 0 1 0 10.7 LeFevour - CMPATT YDS CMP%YPA LNG TD INT SACKRA 3184563438 69.77.54 82 28 7 17 150.26 You look at those stats Cutler played all games 27 TD 26 INT, Collins only 3 and got 0 and 0, Hanie played minimal time got 0 and 1 and finally LeFevour who played in College Football with impressive 28 to 7 add a few interceptions minus a few TD because he isn't use to the NFL give him a few years he will be a very good QB I think make Collins starter put Cutler in 2nd LeFevour in 3rd and trade Hanie. Then next year put Cutler 1st, LeFevour 2nd and Collins 3rd. Finally drop Collins put Cutler 1st, LeFevour 2nd and a new drafted talented QB at 3rd. Years down the track LeFevour 1st, someone, someone. That is how it should work. more

Open Question: Is my essay grammatically correct? Also, what should I put for the last sentence or two?

Here's my essay! It has to be in business letter FORMAT but it's not a business letter, just simply about me! Is everything grammatically correct? (It's for English class) And what should I put for a closing? Thanks!: Dear Mrs. ***, My life was a lot easier when I didn’t have to be in charge of it. I cherished childhood as much as I possibly could because I knew that the sooner I grew up, the sooner I’d have to take more control! As a baby, I had a huge head of hair; an afro, I’d like to call it. I must say, I was a genius baby. I potty-trained myself, taught myself how to read, tied my shoes on my own and I put myself to bed at a reasonable time each night. My older cousin, who’s my sister’s age, used to call me Martha, like Martha Stewart, because I was so incredibly organized and self disciplined as I am now. Don’t get all caught up in my perfection, now. I had some flaws. My mom would always try to get me to say things, as any normal excited mom would. She’d say, “Mommy, Mike, Mickey, mine…” and other things beginning with ‘M’, all of which I could say perfectly fine. Then, she said my sister’s name, “Meaghan…” and my response would always be, “MMMBEAGHAN!” So, maybe I was a bit of a quirky baby, if that’s even possible. And if it is possible, that’s definitely carried on to now. My personality is something that’s pretty hard to describe, as it usually depends on the weather. On rainy days, I always want to stay inside in my pajamas and sleep. If it’s sunny, I typically want to be outside going places and doing things. Also, the slightest things can make me extremely mad, like when my room isn’t organized, and the smallest things, like glow sticks, can put me in the best mood ever. I absolutely love to hang out with my friends, because that’s where all the memories are made. I love to laugh, too, because it earns me some rock hard abs which seem to have mildly disappeared since my six year gymnastics career when I was younger. In my middle school life, I’ve been on Honor Roll, or High Honors, and Principals Citizenship every semester of every year. Last year, I was a proud member of NJHS and I was a yearbook editor with my best friend since kindergarten. As for the organization when I was young, I’m definitely still that way today. I always clean my room without being asked, and, man, should you see how organized my locker was last year. Now, I just hope this organization will help me in my future! I hope to maintain my grades at P********, while keeping organized so I can be as stress free as possible in my high school career. I’m extremely excited to meet more people than I have already who have the same interests as me and who I can count on for a lot of things. When I’m an adult, I really want to be a teacher or something else involving kids. When I babysit my neighbors, I absolutely love it. I love hearing their little stories about karate class, watching Phineas and Ferb with them, and painting their nails in whatever color they want. Also, I think I’m a good leader because I like being in charge and doing things the way I want to do them. I’m organized, so I’d have things very well planned out, and I have a soft spot for the adorable faces of toddlers with tons of energy. Finally, I’ve had plenty of role models to look up to. My 7th grade teacher, Mrs. ******, was my favorite ever. She made school fun, so we got a lot of information out of our lessons, and I honestly looked forward to going to school every single day. Sincerely, Emily M***** Please take some time to help me out! If you don't have time to help edit it then please try to help with a sentence to finish it. Thank you so much! more

Open Question: Isn't it time to stop the blaming Bush game?

People voted Obama in because he was suppose to be this amazing leader who was going to turn everything around. He clearly S*it the bed. A good leader can fix problems, not blame, blame, blame. If it was to much trouble to fix Bush's problems he should have pulled out of the election or stepped down by now. Obamas past experience as a community organizer is clearly not pullling its weight. Maybe they should let him organize the White House bingo night's, thats something he is used to doing from his community organizing days.g - No I do not think he can fix it in a week but its bee n78 weeks now. more

Open Question: Does Democracy Really Mesh With Today's Traditional Religions?

I mean personally i think that most Traditional Religions were built around someone who was supposedly appointed by God to teach people how to live & act. And that it is God not the people who appoints this person. And they reveal themselves to the people through their words & actions & are eventually followed. And God usually considers most people wicked so a system of leadership based on a majority vote would not be something that meshes with any Traditional idea of how God works. Does anybody else feel like the people who believe that Countries like the US were inspired by Traditional Religious ways of thinking are fooling themselves. I believe the US Government has much more in common with The Democracy of Athens 508 BC to 322 BC & The Republic of Rome 509 BC - 27 BC than it does any Biblical System of Government. I mean aren't guys like Socrates & Plato who were oponents of Democracy more in Line with Todays Traditional Religious Figures. And doesn't the mass of people who chose Barabas over Jesus & wanted Jesus crucified, show a better view of Democracy than the people who claim that there is no rift between a Democratic System of Government & the Way God is Portrayed in Todays Traditional Religions. Doesn't a Democracy mean the majority knows best? And it is best for the majority to lead or to choose a leader. When basicly all of Today's Traditional Religions when you really read say that the majority does not know best. And if you do agree, how is it that those who follow Traditional Religions & Read the Scriptures of these Religions don't seem to see the contradiction or paradox. I can understand the arguement that the World has moved away from Traditional Religion & this is what has resulted. That arguement makes sense. But the arguement that says that Democracy is built on Biblical Teachings or that wants to put a Traditional Religion behind one of our Current Systems of Government. I mean those just really don't seem to go together to me. And never have.Ollicopter: True. I never said the U.S. was a pure Democracy. But it still has more in common with The Athenian Democracy & The Roman Republic than it does with any System of Government that was supported by Today's Traditional Religions in my opinion.Ollicopter: Actually it's a Federal Republic. And has been more Federal ever since the End of the Civil War in my opinion. more

Open Question: Why is the USA's left-wing neighbour doing so much better?

Univeral healthcare, a very progressive tax system, same-sex marriage is legalised, and Canada's economy is doing exceptionally well, http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2012168540_canecon21.html ________________________ "The 20 world leaders at an economic summit in Toronto next weekend will find themselves in a country that has avoided a banking crisis, and where the economy grew at a 6.1 percent annual rate in the first three months of this year. The housing market is hot, and three-quarters of the 400,000 jobs lost in the recession have been recovered. The banks are stable because, in part, they're more regulated. As the United States and Europe loosened financial regulations over the past 15 years, Canada refused to do so. The banks also aren't as leveraged as their U.S. or European peers. There was no mortgage meltdown or subprime crisis in Canada. Banks don't package mortgages and sell them to the private market, so they need to be sure their borrowers can pay back the loans. "The rest of the world certainly thinks we're the model to follow," said Martin, who was prime minister from 2003 to 2006. "I've been asked by a lot of countries as to how to go about it." ________________________________ Why can't right wingers see that the USA should be left wing like Canada? more

Open Question: Do you think this is unfair?

I go to a Catholic co-ed school in Australia and we're about three quarters through the school year here (in Australia our school years go from late January-early February till late November to mid December). I'm in year 11 and we're due soon to take over the school leadership roles. We have four school houses for sports days and each house needs at least two captains since we'll be in year 12 and leaders of the school. We also have the pillars faith and service (all about the religious side of things), academic, cultural and something else which I've forgotten about. Not a huge amount of people have signed up for this and pretty much no-one has signed up for team captains (mostly about 25-30 out of 65 have signed up for a pillar a role or school head boy and girl so to speak). My school's really into how they look to others and things like that, they're really superficial and shallow so having all these house leaders etc makes them look good. Anyway the school RE (religious education which we HAVE to take all the way through) called the whole year level up to the biology lab and showed us this ten minute corny video on leadership. He then went to saying how leading the school was our responsibility and how we should have the confidence to lead the college and blah blah blah. It's not about confidence it's about making an educated decision about whether it's in our best interests. He said that we don't have to and we won't be forced but then he walks back to the front and starts yelling at us about leading the school because we have to and it's our job and we have no choice in the matter. He then threatened to make us stand in front of the whole school and explain why we don't want to lead, they're acting like this is the apocalypse. I felt like asking if he wanted to stand in front of the school and explain how we thought using temper and threats in order to get what he wants is right. But I kept my mouth shut because it just would've been too difficult because of getting yelled at, sent out, time outs etc. I grabbed some sign up sheets to sign up for one of the roles only I'm not sure I want to anymore because I don't want to be working for that when I was basically forced I want do my best and I don't want to work with people who use anger and threats in order to get what they want. It's not something I want to condone or stand for. But the main reason I don't to do it because we take the roles officially next year in year 12. Australian education is run state based so each state has slightly different requirements to graduate since I don't know which state I want to go to university I may have to do an extra subject because some other states stipulate it. My school also makes us take RE for one semester and there's the research project so I may be doing 6 full year subjects when I should be doing 4 and a half. The workload is massive and I have family commitments and flute also my schooling, flute and family come first over any leadership role. I have four options for what to study and each have TER scores of 60 and 80.8 (TER means year 12 marks) so I need to buckle down next year. Do you think what they're doing is fair and should I take the role? more

Open Question: Wal Mart Cashier Interview tomorrow - plus...?

Hello I had a couple of questions! Tomorrow I have a job interview at Wal-Mart as a cashier. They told me to go to the electronics and tell them you were there for an interview so I might be a cashier at the electronics (which would be awesome) I think! I have 4 years work experience at a restaurant and became a shift leader at age 15. I am 18 years old now and two days ago was hired at a factory folding rugs all day. However, I hate the factory job simply because I have to work 40 hours a week and go to college... which I can not handle! I explained to the lady who called me for the interview at Wal-Mart that I would only be able to work part time and she said that was perfectly okay! So my questions are like this 1.) Should I even tell them I am working at a factory job? I forgot to include that in my application. 2.) I quit my restaraunt job to get a job at the factory. Should I explain that to them or what? 3.) Is the interview hard? I live in a very small town and the Wal-Mart is pretty small as well. I'm a very friendly guy and can get along with good/bad customers all the same so I'm not worried about that. Any other info/help would be great! I am just in a predicament here!Oh ya... if I do get a job at Wal-Mart should I just quit my factory job or put in a two week notice? I really don't even want to work there anymore and I don't want to show up on the record either for having that job. more

Open Question: baseball stance/coach help?

might as well start with my stance. right now im in a closed stance (too closed for me).i feel absolutely no power from my hips, lose balance, head is pulled off the ball, my swing turns into a big uppercut and its just derailing my swing BIG TIME. none of these problems were with my old open stance. my coach (we'll get to that later) says i open up too quickly which i do understand (i was in an open stance before but i could read the pitch better) but this stance is gonna take me nowhere. apparently i have quick hands and quick bat speed (which i do see) and its all being taken away. so should i go slightly close, neutral or slightly open and also i need some drills to close up a bit more. i also need to read the pitch better too (which could be another reason why im opening up sooner). i know these problems but i just cant fix them im just not focusing enough. i feel im just looking at the ball and not seeing. any ways i can fix that? in a game i just cant hit a ball hard at all but off the tee or doing soft toss etc, i KILL the ball its a great feeling i wanna feel in the game. another reason could also be im in a fairly low level league with not the best pitching and i also wanna play at a much higher level. i know i have the tools and a high potential but i want RESULTS BADLY!!! moving on to issue #2. my coach (well usually my assistant coach) doesnt like me. he picks favorites when he is the head coach. my usual head coach is away and i love my head coach. calm, confident and a good teacher. he taught me to control my nervous emotions, played me at the positions i thrive at (SS, sometimes CF) and it really boosts my confidence. for example, im hard on myself a lot (thats always been me) and he sits down with me when i strike out or have a bad game and goes over what i did wrong and helps build my confidence. hes a great guy and really improved my game this year. cant say enough good things. but my assistant coach is nice and good when my head coach is there but when he isnt, he has to be the biggest confidence killer ever! he plays me at 3B (which im pretty bad at) and RF (which is like the position where u get punished at in my league) he gets over-excited and way to frustrated by being the head coach and gets to a point where he doesnt even know what hes talking about. he always thinks hes right so i cant convince him hes wrong. as i mentioned before he destroyed my swing and destroys my confidence right when i get it to a level where i like it. face it, i thrive on confidence. the mental game is based around confidence, concentration, composure, etc. as yogi berra said "baseball is 90% mental, other half is physical." he basically kills my confidence and composure (but i need to work on concentration any ideas?) and need help fast. ill say this in caps before any assumptions are made: I'M A TEAM PLAYER, HARDEST WORKER/MOST DETERMINATION/COMMITMENT/DEDICATION ON THE TEAM AND A PLAYER WHO LOVES GIVING OTHER KIDS ADVICE, in a way im a leader, but he doesnt notice any of this and still treats me like shit. its annoying im losing patience. my head coach realizes my goals which is great and i like him a lot. im complaining because hes gone for the rest of the season and i dont know how to handle it anymore. im thinking of skipping the rest of the games. what should i do??????? oh yes im 15 and desperate to fix my problems.lol i looked back at my question sorry for the long essay but these problems are really annoying and pissing me off more

Open Question: The Answer to all "Kobe or Lebron" questions?

I'm curious as to know why every1 comes to a conclusion that lefail is a better overall player based on stats Lebrons FG% is higher, but kobe is a better shooter...lebron just finishes @ the basket too often thas why his % is high. It took him 7 years of dunks n lay ups to average 50%...how embarrassing Just cuz lebrick's 3Pt% was equal to kobe's this season doesn't mean he's a better 3 pt shooter. Kobe shoots more 3s Just cuz lebrick averaged more assists it doesn't mean he's a better passer. Kobe can pass just as good. When kobe passes the ball the lakers are unstoppable Lebron is taller than kobe so ill give the edge to bron in rebounding. And he only averages a couple more rebounds cuz he's a stat padder (have you seen him going for a rebound? Hell run his teammates over if he has to.long as he gets his board). Kobe has 2 7footers who can rebound...kobe doesn't need to be averaging 6+ boards a game Lebron is not a better defender than kobe because he averaged more blocks...especially now that he's older kobe used to block yao ming on a daily basis lol Kobes FT% is higher. Kobe can: Shoot better post you up Guard you Drive Block Pass Rebound Shoot 3's Shoot Jumpers consistently Help defend Kobe Has: better ball handling Better footwork Clutch Mental toughness Passion for the game Leader Lebron can: Pass Rebound Block Shoot (inconsitent) Finish at the basket Help defend Lebron has: better dunks More speed More athletisim That's it There ya go ladies n gents, that's right kobe is a better player, kobe a more complete player & kobe is a better winner@fransisca that's why your azz blocked me. Cuz I'm always schoolin your azz whenever you talk about yur bf lebron. Can't handle facts can't ya? Yu hide and run away from a challenge instead of facing them JUST LIKE LEBRON. Email me I would love to embarrass you & turn you into a kobe nut rider lmfao! Faqqot more

Resolved Question: Does my book keep you on the edge of your seat so far?

Can someone please edit it for me? What's your impression upon reading it? Thanks. It wasn't until this moment, I realized everything was a mistake. The man pressed the gun to my shoulder; his bony fingers, poking through his leather gloves, motioned towards the trigger. Beads of sweat ran down my neck as I prayed this was only a nightmare and I would wake up in my bed sweating. This all started with a dream – rather, a nightmare. Or at least that's what I thought it was. Shy seventeen years of my life, I've gotten used to it by now. First, the mysterious figures seep through your room. You can't stop them, even though you've tried many times, because your paralyzed. You can't see because the blinding crystal light shines through your window, blowing up the lace curtains like Marilyn Monroe's infamous white dress. The tingle of electricity painfully shoots up your leg just before you black out, the only thing that can run is your mind. And when you awaken, the unforgettable experiments continue – except they're much worse than last time. Oh, and it get's better. These tests don't seem nearly as bad once you return home to find that no one believes your stories, and think you've pulled it out of a Science Fiction movie, or an xFiles episode. Sometimes they even assume you've escaped from a mental ward. Or on special occasions, all three. I always thought the hero was supposed to be saved in the end, but judging by his grip on the trigger, I was deadly wrong. ** Tendrils dangled in front of my cat-like, olive eyes as I placed a clip at the crown of my hair. The magenta bottle of hairspray was bitterly frigid as I gently grasped onto it. The handle left a sticky residue on my index finger as I pressed down, to keep my champagne colored locks in place. Unlike other people, I don't mind getting up for school in the morning. I find it fun to make myself look gorgeous, even though I'm usually shoved to the back of the room and not noticed. Either way, high school hasn't been that hellish thus far, so don't expect me to complain. This may seem odd, but I can't say that I dread going to school every week day. I'm not worried about getting a date for homecoming like most are. It was already set that one of the desperate jocks would ask me last minute because they were in the same boat as I was. Always a follower, not a leader, I've found that being best friends with the queen bee came in handy at times. Nobody crosses paths with me, which means no drama. Most of the time I'm dealing with Tiffany's problems. I'm usually ignored or treated like crap, but it's worth it – I get popularity, dates and people know who I am, all because I'm Tiffany Waterson's best friend.Awesome Person - Yes? ...Stella - Actually it's a sci-fi about an alien government conspiracy. Open Question: How can the American (and most of the Wests') system of government get any better?

I was born and raised in the US so I'm sure I have a strong US leaning bias. I don't see how a system of governance can get any better. This view is DEFINITELY not absolute, and I ask to gain insight. People in Government: The US is a Democratic Republic. Everyone of age is eligible to vote for people in government. The people in government come from the people themselves, as all citizens who meet certain requirements are eligible to run for office. Elections are very frequent, and there is a limit to the number of terms one can have. A representative can also be impeached and ousted prematurely. No permanent leaders = no incentive for oppression to remain in power. Law: All American citizens have fundamental rights that cannot be revoked. Freedom of speech, Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Religion, Freedom of ownership of private property. The law is very flexible, and reflects the wishes of the majority of the people. Justice: Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Nobody can be falsely imprisoned, and a sentencing requires concrete proof. Opportunity: Everyone has equal opportunities under the law. One reaps what one sows. Very flexible social and economic mobility. Everyone is entitled to primary education. Government regulations greatly reduce risk of exploiting the lower class. (This is as far as I know. There may be factual errors. If so, please correct me) more

Resolved Question: What do you think of my atheistic synopsis of life and Jesus alike?

There have been many alike who are assassinated because the primitively evolved ego is still evolving and so is man. Unfortunately there is just as much good or benefit to evolve out of the same amount of quantifiable badness that occurs in life. This badness leaders inflict upon our selves for the greater good. So historically people who mean well who gain too much following and therefore power are assassinated for the greater good/advancement of man kind. Of course one of them has to be the greatest and martyred. Here is an axiom or paradigm for you: As cave men did we struggle to even contemplate our existence as we looked to the stars barely literate and utter the word Goh! Goh! which became GOD. Oh it must be GOD! Primitively evolved ego blames god and the devil and puts everything in little boxes in the mind in order to recognize and relate to them. This weakness exploited by others for purposes of social division, avarice greed and power over others as we beat our chests in satisfaction. The hunt was successful today! le Panacea/the cure all for all, Our Secret Weapon, axiomatic system from which we can produce logical coherent conclusion and paradigms, In traditional logic, an axiom or postulate is a proposition that is not proved or demonstrated but considered to be either self-evident, or subject to necessary decision. Therefore, its truth is taken for granted, and serves as a starting point for deducing and inferring other (theory dependent) truths. The key aspect of our humanity seems to be our morals and beliefs. The ability to change, adapt, and create the ability to carry out a coherent logical conclusion. This is one factor that allows us to change ourselves and adapt to a changing world. To construct and stabilize our morals we must begin with some principles held as axioms and logically derive from those axioms conclusions which become our morals. Our ability to radically change ourselves and our original axiomatic belief system accounts for the other half of our ability to change, adapt, and create. We have advanced so far in terms of knowledge, society, and technology. Yet there is still so much more to create and discover. What will propel us is ultimately our humanity. And we have seen that stability and change make us human. In this yin-yang sort of duality, these two aspects of our nature–the desire for tradition and stability and the excitement brought on by radical revolution–synergistically combine to form what we call humanity and human nature. We have discovered our secret weapon: two conflicting yet supporting principles that guide our ever-shifting path into the future. In terms of God I think it's very interesting that creationism, (a consequence of the evolving ego) has produced a mental mechanism that can often forgive us for what ever we do, and also creates a solution to what we can't explain. In my opinion we are a very counter productive and self destructive species which still struggles to break the mold of mindless facile and frivolous cultural perpetuation as a result of many given leader types or peerage consumed with avarice, falsely empowering ones self and self preservation. This behavior and moral standards learned and then perpetuated pervasively throughout any given culture. E.G. exploitation of the weak or primitively evolved ego, the sinister inciting coups and the best products that can possibly benefit man kind are not brought to market because the don't make enough profit. Wealth is power and can influence government policy, the cultural foundations of which will typically be built upon the exploitation of others as one capitulates to avarice thoughts and feelings ultimately aspiring to self preserve and acquire power. These standards are set thus learned and perpetuated down through the hierarchical ranks of any given culture. Rotten peerage = rotten culture. No one asks to be born here and no one asks to leave. more

Resolved Question: How do I get out of feeling that I'm just here for the ride?

By no means am I contemplating suicide. I just want to clear that up before I begin. I always feel as though I'm just in life for the ride, and maybe that's the point of life, but I always feel like I'm just there, never really serving any particular purpose except to be a not-so-worthy competition to other people. I wouldn't call myself gorgeous, but I wouldn't call myself ugly, either, but my friends get all the attention from girls and boys, and I'm the one who sits in the corner and holds the drinks. I consider myself average-looking, and I've been told many times that I'm really nice, but people would only want to know me as a friend, and nothing more, which makes me believe that I have to be rude and reckless to get a boy to like me and acknowledge me. I know my niche is writing, but whenever I try to be as best as I can be at writing, there's always somebody there to cut me down like a tree, to make me feel like writing isn't my niche, to make me question whether or not it's what I'm destined to do. Maybe I try too hard to be number one -- I always submit my pieces to writing competitions, like one at my school, for example, where I came out in the bottom of the barrel, losing the top prizes to people who don't even like writing, while it's the one thing I can see myself doing for the rest of my life. I have never really won anything, either. I don't really expect to win things, because I'm not a competitive person, but I always feel like I want to be recognized for my writing or for some other attributes I have, and I always strive to get something that I really, truly want, but there's always somebody better than me, always someone who wants it more, always something standing in the way of being recognized or getting what I want. I tried out to be a peer leader at my school for my last year, and I lost the position to kids in my class who are, in my opinion, the worst role models, to people who get everything they want handed to them on a silver platter, to people who bullied me and my friends, to people who drink until they're so drunk that they pass out or hook up -- or worse -- with anybody on whom they can get their hands. Maybe I'm looking way too deep into this, but I always feel like whenever I want to be recognized, there's something or someone standing in the way and inhibiting my drive to be recognized, and it hurts me. Sometimes, like in the case of peer leaders, I found myself so upset by the decision that I began listing reasons why I'd be a better peer leader than the twelve who were chosen, and I'm not the kind of person to list the bads in people. I try to see the good in people, and sometimes I just get so upset by them doing better than me that I tend to do this. I'm seventeen, and I have my future ahead of me, and maybe what I'm feeling is a part of growing up, or maybe I'm just being self-absorbed and selfish, but this is all really bothering me. How can I get out of feeling this way? How do I get used to the fact that there will always be people better than me? Is this normal, or am I being selfish? If I'm being selfish, how can I get over this, because I hate feeling like I'm being selfish, but I don't know whether or not I'm being selfish? Does all this even make sense? ThanksI'm a male x more

Resolved Question: Was it my mother who borrowed the strategy from the Americans or the Americans who borrowed it from her?

Don't answer the question asked --- Answer the question you think they should have asked A frustrating strategy openly employed for decades by my mother and apparently the followers of political parties and their leaders along with a lot of the media personalities Who borrowed from whom ? Don't answer the question they asked ---- simply answer the question they should have asked and would have if they knew any betterIf you answer the question they asked they will naturally begin to build a premise out of the answer --- So don't answer the question answer a different one which will lead to the premise you wanted them to come to --- Control the premise which begins an idea which leads to a conclusion of the facts they gathered --- Answer only the questions which lead to the conclusion you wanted in the first place by answering the question they should have asked Really still --- Still works still fools you still makes you want to walk the way your being lead --- Do you still think this is effective and if so what does that say about you --- I mean the user is pretty friggin plain what about YOU what does it say when it still works ?Mr Nice guy I am a middle aged working class married person Bills and other adult scenario themes like late payments and interest charges are the majority of my life ---- Working to pay a collection of bills So I am not sure why you are suggesting the day to day slavery to me a person who clearly knows it is not a great life for anyone but thank god we are such a wealthy nation it doesn't suck either and there is a fair safety net that frankly I would be afraid of using because of the stories I hear about it on a weekly basis more

Resolved Question: If Bin Laden is captured/killed under Obama's term, who will be the first Conservative to give credit to Bush?

Just wondering who will be the first Conservative or Republican to give Bush the credit if Bin Laden is captured or killed. I already understand the formula of Con logic -- if something bad happened under Bush, blame Obama. If something good happened under Obama, give credit to Bush. Current recession that started in December 2007 under Bush? Blame Obama. Poor federal response to Hurricane Katrina? Obama's fault. Outing of CIA agent Valerian Plame? How the purposes were altered in the early years of settlement: When no gold was found it became more about finding/making other goods to send back toEngland and making a profit through trade. Chapter 3 1) a: Motivation for founding New England-- Pilgrims were seeking a place to escape from the religious persecution they had faced in Europe. Motivation for founding Middle colonies-- The Middle colonies were also founded for religous freedom as well as for an industry based economy. b: Religious and social composition of New England-- New England was very religously diverse. Religious and social composition of the Middle Colonies-- The Middle colonies were the most diverse of all of them supporting different religions as well as having Polish, English, Dutch, French and German influences. c: Political development of New England-- Leaders such as John Hancock, John Adams, and Samuel Adams came from the area. Political development of the Middle Colonies-- The Middle colonies were very focused on political equality. 2) Development of religious and political freedom in... a: Massachusetts-- Most established settlers were there in search of religious and political freedom. b: Rhode Island-- Rhode Island was founded by Roger Williams to be a place of religious and political freedom. c: New York-- Colonial new york had a royally appointed government so it was not very politically equal. d: Pennsylvania-- The people of the area strove for politcal and religious equality for everyone. 3) Characteristics of the early southern colonies that were generally absent in New England and Middle Colonies: Those who settled in the Southern colonies were generally there to make money though they also brought there families to live together on the plantation. They tended to be families that were there to practice their own religion and were searching for equality. 4) I would have preferred living in the Middle colonies because I would enjoy the vast amount of diversity in both religion and cultures and the large amount of close families that lived there. 5) Chapter 4 1) Comparing and contrasting the New England and Southern colonies... a:Economy--The New England colonies were mostly farming and fishing communites with some industry as well while the Southern colonies had almost entirely agricultural based economies. b:Geography and climate-- The New England colonies were generally hilly with rocky soil and a cold climate. The Southern colonies had a broad coastal region with lots of forest and a warm climate. c:Mortality rates-- approx. 40 for white males in the Southern colonies. d:Sex ratios-- The sex ratio in New England was about even as well as in the Southern colonies. e:Family relationships-- The family relationships in both colonies were stable. In the Southern colonies the men ran the plantation more. Conclusions: In the Southern colonies the people must have been very hardworking and spend much of their time taking care of the plantations, The people of the New England colonies spent alot of time focusing on family values. 2) Around the 1620s black slavery replaced indentured servitude because the settlers food the Africans as less than human so they had no problem not treating them decently or having their service be under any contract and having them in their service until death. Chapter 5 1) Traveling preachers and revivals caused the Great Awakening. A large amount of people converted religions and began attending church frequently. The ideas of the Great Awakening and the multiplication of different denominations popularized the concept of seperating church and state. 2) Religion related ideas were often taught in schools, and politicians were influenced by their religious ideas. 3) Between 1700 and 1750 differences in wealth and status diminished because one had very ample opportunity to move up on the social ladder and most people belonged to the same basic social class. Resolved Question: Is that nation between mexico and canada doomed because it sins against God?

Many have compared that nation to Babylon in the Bible. Ancient Babylon and king Nebuchadnezzar were known for their violence and brutality. In comparison, Babylon is characterized by fornication, covetousness (abundance of delicacies) and pride. Babylon does not describe only one nation, but God is showing the judgment coming to any nation that behaves like this proverbial Babylon. The nation has gone crazy over sex. It is stained with innocent blood of abortion and because few repent. Covetous people sit around and talk about what they “need.” They make lists of things they want to buy. They imagine themselves winning the lottery. They always want the next gadget that comes along. Numerous God hating judges and lawyers have just about ruined that nation between mexico and canada, for it seems everyone will tell a lie if necessary. Many people give idolization and glory and praise to just about everything under the sun, except the Lord God. Leaders being concerned with only money and ruining the country. Granted, the nation between canada and mexico is not the only sinful nation in the world, but every nation will be judged in their proper time as God decides. But as a 'world leader' surely it can do better. "A nation without God's guidance is a nation without order. Happy are those who keep God's law!" (proverbs 29:18) If you read the Bible you can see the traits of a sinful nation, and also what happens in a sinful nation. So what do you think... is the said nation doomed because it sins against the Almighty God?http://www.LittleScroll.comToke Lover - CANTHEIST: don't worry, theres more to what im doing here than meets the eye :D more

Open Question: UC Personal Statement...is mine any good?

----->Describe the world you come from - for example, your family, community, or school - and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations. English teachers preach that every aspect of life has to do with literature. Most teenagers can relate any situation to a song. We walk around with camera-enabled cell phones to capture things we find beautiful – our friends, scenic views, etc. Pictures are hung up in restaurants, hotels, and even restrooms, because they are meant to be admired. In essence, life is art. And I am the painter. My world is color. What is a world without people? Without my family, teachers, and church leaders, I would have no painting. They define my world. These people are the colors that are delicately brushed across my canvas. They complete my paintings. Without color, paintings wouldn’t really be paintings, would they? My parents started with nothing, and they want me to end with everything. I have a brother, one year older than myself, who simply does not care for school. My parents have two children though – so since one has already failed them, it’s up to me to earn a respectable name for the family. Oh, and my mother needs someone to brag about to her pompous doctor’s-wives-friends. Of course, I don’t work hard to impress the pretentious women my mother calls her friends. I work hard because I want to complete my masterpiece. My AP Calculus teacher is retiring at 31. Why? He wants to devote his life to mission work, teaching morals, and enriching the lives of those who need enrichment. He taught me that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. So if you don’t like my masterpiece, then that doesn’t mean someone else won’t. My AP Chemistry teacher is at school for 12 hours most days advising Mock Trial and Science Club, and tutoring students taking her rigorous course. Did I mention she has a family? From her, I learned dedication. I’m never going to stop working on my masterpiece. My church elders are the ones who know everything about me – from my toes to my face. They guide me spiritually and have taught me to have faith that however my final masterpiece turns out, it will be as perfect as can be. My whole life, I’ve been trying to make everything as perfect as possible – to surpass my own expectations. My world has taught me that even though I know exactly what I want my paintings to look like – it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll turn out that way. One of the greatest pieces of knowledge I’ve gained from my world is that life brings what it will. I can’t try to make a story of my life, I just have to live it, and the story will make itself. I’ve always dreamed big: I want to be a pediatric specialist, a restaurant owner, and a bestselling author. My dreams have everything to do with my world, and what people have taught me. And as for my aspirations? Well, I aspire to be an inspiration. I have a basic idea of what I want my story to look like, and if it’s not perfect, I won’t fret. My one criteria however, is that my masterpiece inspires. That is, after all, the most important component of a piece of artwork. I know it needs some editing, and I need to add a few points in there. Do you have any suggestions? more

Open Question: Im running for student body president this year.?

I go to a little catholic school, when it comes to writing my speech I can't think of anything to say about what my ideas are and what I will do for the school... I've never been in student council but this year i feel like I have a shot, I only have one opponent. I have raising money for the school to by new things. I just don't know what to say. Any suggestions? What I have so far is below. Hi, for those of you who don’t know me, my name is Kate and this year I’m running for head girl. I am in 8th grade and this is my last year here, and I plan to make the most of it. Student council is a great experience; it challenges you to be a leader while having fun. I am organized, responsible, and full of ideas. I get all a’s and b’s, so you wont have to worry about me being kicked off student council. This year’s theme is “Make a difference.” I think we could make a difference by starting out with the little things in life. A simple smile, a wave, a “Hi,” or “Good morning,” opening and holding the door for people who need help, or inviting people to play at recess could easily make someone’s day. Then we could have fund raisers, or do more activities as a school. more

Resolved Question: Name my characters? Slasher movie esque story.?

It's for a slasher. Nothing groundbreaking. Nothing new. I'm just fitting the slasher movie formula because I feel like writing and I can't focus on my other more serious project right now. But yeah :3 Anyway, the characters. Chara 1. _____ Cunningham. He's a boy, somewhere between the ages of 17 and 20, caucasian and lean, but somewhat toned. He has average features and a laid back personality, but at times can be a bully and take things too far. He's single, but looking to score with one of the girls over the weekend. He isn't rich, but his parents are fairly well off, upper middle class I guess. He isn't the leader of any clique or group, but being the wealthier one of his friends, most finance related responsibilities fall on him. He buys pot and alcohol for his friends, but doesn't seem to mind. Chara 2. ____ _____ between the ages of 18 and 20. Somewhat muscular, not ripped or athletic but considerably more toned than the other guys at the weekend retreat. Either Puerto Rican, Italian of some South American background, only ancestral however, he's an American through and through. He has a penchant for aviator sunglasses and he's the "second in command" of the group. He's dating Chara 5. It's an on-off relationship and they break up alot, but they are currently together. Chara 3. ___ ___, Mixed race African-American and Caucasian. Between the age of 18 and 20. Average build, not lean like Chara 1 but not as toned as Chara 2. Character is a pothead and a stoner, more so than the others who do it recreationally. Character is the comic relief of the group as he hopelessly tries to get the girl and is obviously surpassed by the other guys. Characters main reason for being within the group is he is the only one who has his own car *some of the others can drive, but need to resort to using their parents cars with permission*. Somewhat goofy and can take things too far, likes to joke about. Chara 4. ___ ___ age 18 to 20, leader of the gang. Caucasian with auburn hair and an Irish-American heritage. Fairly handsome, but not striking. He has a somewhat jerky arrogance about him that unless your a friend, will make you feel unwelcome and threatened. A complete frat boy type, with the exception he's not in University, he likes drinking games and sexist jokes and whilst a good friend, is a complete asshole. Chara 5. ___ ____ age 18 to 20, caucasian. An average framed girl (a healthy weight, not curvy or slender) whos mildly buxom and has an attractive face. Dating Chara 2., they have a frictional on-off relationship and break up often for petty reasons, but are currently back together. She was never a beauty queen, head cheerleader or most popular girl at high school, but was still fairly popular for whatever reason. She's into fashion (whats trendy and whatnot, instead of the high end fashion magazines, designers and garments) and likes to be treated well, whilst she isn't spoiled, she is always aware of when and where her boyfriend takes her for granted. Chara 6. ___ ____ easily the most stable/neutral of the three girls, between the age of 18 and 20 and some mild trace of ethnicity that gives her tanned/bronzed skin. Maybe Italian or Hispanic? Mildly attractive, but somewhat plain and with an slim, lithe figure. She likes to keep her hair its natural colour and whilst not a vegan or a naturist, has something to say about the climate and whatnot. She can be bitchy at times, but is by far the nicest of the three girls. She's a close friend of Chara 1. as they used to be best friends in childhood, so she isn't particuarly close to any of the other characters. She's sensible, but does know how to have a good time. Chara 7. ____ _____ aged 18 to 20, caucasian. Has a strong crush on both Chara 2. and Chara 4. but only because their status/looks. She can be bitchy at times, but Chara 5. is by far the cruelest of the girls (not to suggest she's malicious). Not really a bimbo and is fairly sure of herself and somewhat intelligent, but can't hold her drink and loves getting drunk. She's promiscuous and often talks about sex either shocking or humouring whoever is with her. She's generally more accepting of Chara 6.'s induction into the group rather than Chara 5.'s.Well of course I have the stereotypes down, its a slasher, duh. > >' And as for the whole black community thing, every character in this a pothead. Did people throw a shit fit when the only black and asian castmembers in the crappy Friday 13th remake were drug addicts? No. Get over yourself! Like I said it wasn't a serious project, so stop trying to make me sound like the pulsating blemish of the writing world. And yes CHARA short for character, most writers shortern words to save time. Shows how much you know. more

Open Question: I dont get why my old friend doesnt talk to me anymore?

When I was younger, like in Elementary school I was in this group of like 5girls including me. The kinda leader person was like my BESTFRIEND. I wasnt ever her BestFriend. Or mabey I was. She had another girl she liked better. But anyways. Our familes would get together. Then we started drifting...as we got older. Her and the other girl got closer&closer. But I dont think that has anything to do with what Im saying....Im off topic. Sorry. Okay, so now were in Middle School. In the 8th grade. She's popular, she is on the cheer team. All the others are too. They are all on Cheer&Dance. I kinda broke apart from them in 6th grade. Now Im really missing them. Or my so called 'BestFriend'. I dont wanna re-join there little group again or anything, but I want them to talk to me after school, or when they see me in the hallways. They dont though. SOMETIMES just SOMETIMES she might say "Hey" or "Hey Lindz!" in the hallway. She writes things about me being her bestfriend on facebook. Like on her profile, along with alot of other people. And of course Im near the bottom of the list. Her dad was over one night and he told me that she misses me. I dont know what he meant by that. Was he lying? She sure doesnt act like she misses me. I just dont get it. She doesnt even talk to me outside after school, when Im waiting for my mom to pick me up. She will be like standing off to the side of me, with all her buddies. I just stand there and sometimes pretend I dont see her or something, but sometimes I look back at her and watch her talk to her friends, and see if she notices me and says something to me. But she never does. She has like only once. We were like the only two people left. I know she sees me, like she does this alot, she looks in my eyes, and then she just kinda looks away. Or pretends she couldnt see me. Today in the hallway, she was passing me(alone)and she kinda waved, and gave me a wierd smile. Like the kinda smile you smile when your surrounded with people you dont really care for. Or something. Or a smile you would give somebody who is lower than you. Something like that. Its kinda hard to explain. I just want her to talk to me again. I really miss her. Does she miss me? Why is she acting this way? It really makes me sad. x'( more

Resolved Question: Feeling like an OUTSIDER! First day of Junior year... classes with a certain guy...need help!?

Okay. So I'm going to be completely honest right now. Please! I can really use some advice! So please take the time to read this. So, I'm a very unique 16 1/2 year old. I've liked this boy since I was in the 8th grade. I never really knew much about him then. I did think he was a little cute. But, since high school started, I learned SO much more about him! I found out he likes the same music I do. He plays guitar, and has a band. He seems like a pretty cool guy. Hes immature. (What guy in high school isn't). :) I myself have a VERY UNIQUE, individual style. But, how to describe it. Its sorta rocker, artsy, tough chick, with a little bit a punk. But.... See I've been going to a catholic (not forced, but encouraged), and I believe in just being yourself, no matter what that may be. Its funny I do not look the part of a typical "catholic school girl". I LOVE self-expression, piercings, tattoos.... you name it. Its just that. When I'm in school I feel I can't be THAT, I can't be MYSELF! Its a shame to same, but I feel SO out of place, and so different, and like I almost don't belong. I love when people just where whatever, and act however. But, in catholic school, well my school in particular, Its all about "image", and "presentation". Like your on a stage, or platform 24/7! And I'm against that! I just like to chill, and relax! I just feel like I' m NEVER COMFORTABLE in school. Everyone in my school acts the same, talks the same, eats that same thing (i'm a vegan by the way, long story). And there I am. Just ME! Most people that are going to answer this are probably older than me. You probably went through high school. So heres the real question. How can I get comfortable in school. I'm comfortable with myself. I don't believe thats the case at all. But, how do I get more comfortable IN school. Around my clone-like piers, uptight teachers, and looking-for-code-violators principal? And. Better yet... How do I get comfortable around this music lover, whom I'm afraid to talk to, and get very nervous around? It seems like I want everyone to like me. I want to make friends, and do have a few good ones, but don't have ANY classes with them. And NOW, have 3 classes with this guy! I feel like rebellious freak in a prestigious schools! Well.... I feel I sorta am! I want to be a LEADER, or someone that takes risks, when the truth is I DO. (Outside of school though). When I'm in school I feel like a FOLLOWER. (Its almost impossible not to when your in a catholic school). ANY ADVICE! I honestly am open-minded to hearing your thoughts... and can REALLY use some help! Thanks! more

Open Question: Should we Americans just try to forget that September 11th ever happened?

I live in a country where liberals tell me to play nice with the religion of the people who murdered my countrymen. They say "ohhhhh they aren't all like that!" Now they want to build that religion a place of worship not far from where those people fell. I'm a nice guy, but being nice has gone to far... Sometimes common sense has got to take over. Muslim men slide through security, while nuns get searched head to toe, all for what? Equal treatment... Eff that, i'm tired of this. Screw it, liberals are destroying this country, and have sucked the soul from what our forefathers intended. They are probably rolling in their grave if they had to hear what our leaders have to say these days. Maybe i'll just go by myself a feel good Prius and slap a "coexist" bumper sticker on the back to make everyone think i'm holier than thou. I'm not gonna tint the windows either so I can be sure everyone sees me inside and knows i'm "doing my part" Crap on that, there's places in China Americans can't walk around outside because they aren't accustomed to the air... Why aren't libs crying about those places? Oh that's right, because they know it's a lost cause and it does nothing to bolster their street cred in the p.c. game. Ughhh What September 11th? My government probably would remove that day from the calender if it could cause it makes Muslims look bad. more

Resolved Question: Why did Obama lie about his gay experience with Larry Sinclair in 1999?

========== ***ALERT*** ========== Now before the Liberal Socialist start doing so, I am going to warn them not to start doing their useal thing and pull out the Race Card. If they do I will call them on it and embarrass them for doing so. Everyone have fun with the question and I hope to hear some good debate on the subject. Now one more time for those out there who were bread from birth to use race as a crutch... DO NOT DROP THE RACE CARD! IT IS NOT ALLOWED IN RATIONAL CONVERSATION! Thank you. ============================================= If you don't know about the story, a man named Larry Sinclair was on a trip and met then still community organizer and political hopeful Obama. He testified before congress about how he and Obama had gay sex and smoke crack cocain in Obama's limo. Now to be all honest and upfront I am not surprised and even though I HATE "Mr." Obama with a fury, I thought the story was just something some guy made up to get before the cameras for fun. It started to get interesting when he testified before congress about what had happened in "Mr." Obama's limo. He goes into deep detail about what happened and then starts talking about "Mr." Obama asking him he he smoked crack. Larry Sinclair at this moment said he did cocaine but never smoked crack, but was indeed will to try. "Mr." Obama then made a phone call and they made a stop at a seedy part of town and then exchanged money for the crack. ...again this could be a made up story but proved it to be true for me and anyone else who doesn't just take what the Liberals feed them and not question it,l in his testimony before congress he gave three very specific times and locations as to where the gay sex and the purchase and smoking of the crack cocaine took place. When the phone recorded and records of the limo's location and times to when it was indeed there, were requested, it was during "Mr." Obama run for "Leader" of the country and he had it buried legally, and then when he was forced upon us, he had the times and records marked top secret under the premise of being important to National Security. When he was asked about this, he said that he did release the records, but in fact when copies were attained by reporters everything from up to the minute BEFORE the exact time and the exact lactation data, and every AFTER the same two bits of information were there but the exact times and location data that Larry Sinclair said before congress were missing and then later declaired to be a matter of National Security. Now to add to the issue, one of Larry Sinclair friends that was helping him out with the story and that could have verified what happened... he was murdered shortly after. The shooting happened and nothing was taken, so you really got to ask yourself about how much "Mr." Obama knew about what happened and why he lied about the experience. Liberals are about homosexuals so I don't know why he would hide the fact he is one, I uderstand him hiding the fact about smoking crack, but even then one has to ask one's self why. He admitted to doing so already in his book. So what do you think the reasons were for his homosexual cover up? All views welcome. Thank you.To AH ME SO HORNEY!: Lets for a moment say your story is true, they why no recored of a failed polygraph, all I was able to find was one given by the secret service but the results were withheld do to National Security. Even then what about the time and location data blocked? Well? more

Voting Question: Is it fair that i am called a racist, for having pride in my white race?

My ex is black, i work with black people and my BEST friend is black, and he gets along with me and my white (and other black) friends. They all go on about 'Black Pride' and nobody batted an eyelash, but when i mentioned 'White Pride', people hurled abuse at me and called me a racist dog. Is that fair? Is it wrong to be proud of ones race? Yes we have had many people in our race who have committed great evil throughout history - But we have great white people who have done good in the world. And black people have good leaders, and bad ones. Yes the white-man enslaved black people many years ago, and i am utterly ashamed that people could disgrace not only their race, but humanity, in such a way - But lets not forget, i didn't do that, and those slaves were handed to us by black men in positions of power. If you can have black pride. I can have white pride.Collette - So by your logic 'black pride' MUST also be a negative connotation? Or is it okay for them because they are black?Collette - So i can't be proud of my race? But they can be? A little hypocritical no? Okay, maybe Catholics shouldn't have pride because of Child molestations done by a vast MINORITY of them. Or the holocaust. Maybe jews should be ashamed because of their involvement in the enslavement of none Jewish people in the 2nd century. OR Americans should not have pride because of their involvement in Iraq. more

Voting Question: I need to find a bible verse for my friend.?

My (guy) friend's birthday is coming up, and I want to cross stitch something with a good bible verse on it. I want the bible verse to either be about: 1. Men of God, i.e. men of good faith, men who are good in God's eyes or 2. A good role model, leader etc. He has really helped me to rediscover my faith, and I look up to and respect him for that. Thanks! more

Resolved Question: I predict the Houston Texans will have 10-6 or better & make playoffs 1st time - Will the Texans shock the NFL?

Texans have always been the butt of the joke and the last team left out of the playoffs last year having been eligible if the Bengals had gotten off their butts and beat the Jets in the final regular season game. The experts are taking note of our QB Matt Schaub who posted the most passing yards last season and was Pro Bowl MVP. Andre Johnson is arguably the best WR in the NFL post most yards 2 years straight Brian Cushing - Defensive Player of the Year - despite the 4 game suspension he is expected to be a huge impact player as he was last year. Demeco Ryans - Leader of the Defense - Pro Bowler and is symbiotic with Cushing Mario Williams - Dude scared Romo straight to the ground Jacoby Jones - WR that complements Andre Johnson Owen Daniels - Pro Bowl TE with a chip because of his injury last year Adrian Foster - RB has chip because he was undrafted last year I can go on and on with the players who will make huge impacts - but you also have to look at their play this year. Against Arizona and Cowboys the Starters dominated their opponents. QUESTION: WILL THE TEXANS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS AND SHOCK THE NFL??? more
