Open Question: How Vastu sastra became Non viable to accept, when compared to Astrology ?
No Lengthy explanations. The Front Neibhourer’s Vayu Stana which is Septic tank place or the Toilet usaging is in few Sqft to The Respective one’s ‘’Easonya Stana ‘’ to have Well , Bore or water storager and Naturally that water is not ideal to use unless Each House is divided by a street or a road. So Vastu gone out in total not accepted as not safe to use. Astrology is Relevant and Authentic subject and that’s why it was Highlighted by relevant knowledged Humans in creation and surprisingly they found 60% Majority of Humans are with Predictable and 40% are Un Predictable in creation itself and this Ratio made war like situations too over each other, in terms of comparision scenerios in each talent and Living is the secret. So Ancient Elders made the Good and Bad Stars and Planets along with Days and Time to fix Auspisious Days, and the following in these Auspisious Days makes all in Uniform in all aspects right from Birth to Generations too.But to their Dismay caste Parities in each Religion made Life and living becoming uneasy. So All risks to Life is made like a Manual and necessary Protections were promulgated like Theft and Violence – Police, Fire – Fire Dept, Outside disturbance – Army,Navy,Airforce etc, Health –Hospitals, Overpowerring stronger people by scrutinizing the weakness in Astrology of the individual etc. in each Town and Village clubbing made Life span saved each year which called as Kingdom and now Government. Similarly Governace and Government is a Find to wipe out Astrological Life risks of each individual with all Necessary essentials affordability at reach, to make the individual is not Lazy, but Government became Nil Provider of Essentials but keen to take away money from people by way of so many names like Tax, Duty, Service with no clean roads or streets or water and water to be bought which is shame with somany rivers plus Land resources’s Bunglings too. Astrology is the Root cause of Formation of Religions and Religions were spreaded as per each’s liking to Link themselves. To Authenticate this The Ancient Elders compared the Good and Bad of each individual compared it to their Zodiac chart and found amazingly the Good and Bad Astro signs tallied as Good Planet ,Star and Bad Planet,Star and thus formed the Good’s Best character of star and Planet as God and Goddess in Idol forms that too sacredly when they found Sticky Rocks at 90Degree exact to All 27 stars, 9Planets, Star constellations within the 12 Zodiac signs and there they formed God,Goddess Idols and the race to find such 90 Deg. among Religion Leaders made the Religion Growth spreaded. All Festivals of each Religion is Astrological movements only exception being the Religion finders's Birth or demised days. Hence Gods and Goddesses of all Religions are nothing But the Universe’s Good creating structures in Idol forms , and Rebirth theories are for the Universe’s structures and not to any Humans, as up to now we could not see anyone crossed 500 years aged and cannot accept all Humans are 100% Bad to have death, and same way we did not see anyone talking about their previous Birth. As per Court and Judiciary nature of Mind and Brain of Human in identification of Good and Bad, it is 100% evident that each Bad Doing of Human has the punishment in his Old age as the Mind overpowers his age and make him to do realizations of misdeeds by someway or other, as Each individual will suffer for his bad actions whether a King or a Beggar there is uniformity, and none of their family Members can take Burden as Mind Body, and feelings are individualistic. Maha Bharat Epic is the start of the Religions as the Imaginary keeping inview of the 12 zodiac’s study in which 1 st and 8th sign are with Mars as Lord which meant that Deaths occur due to Land, Woman, Short temper with actual characters that of Universe’s influence on Humans as per Astrolgy made Epic as God fearing Pandavas – Panchanga and vastu followers Kauravas – Philonthropic High Talented Humans Pandavas – Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn as Pandavas Karna - Earth Kunti Devi Moon Sun as Karna’s Father thru Kunti Devi without Marriage. Lord Krishna Full Moon and Lord Rama New Moon with Moon’s movements as their Namas, and Lord Venkateswara is Moon with Moon movements shapes of Full ,New Moon as Lord Venkateswara’s Nama clubbing Ramanaama and Krishna Naama , were in Maha Bharat and Ramayana is to Highlight Rama as New Moon, Lakshmana as Full Moon, Bharatha as Ekadasi and Shatruguna as Dasami and All these to make uneasy causing Astami and Navami Thithis devotional to comeout from problems is the intention. Sun Lord shiva, Moon Vishnu ,Brahma is imaginary of 3 worlds namely Sky, Earth and under the Earth’s universe’s structure i.e. Booloka, Mel Loka, and Paadhala Loka as 3 Loka HeadEarth as Parvati Goddess and Lord Muruga is the son of Sun and Earth and Lord Ayyapa is Son of Sun and Moon in Natural way and Lord Jesus’s Birth is by Praying way, and Planet Mercury is Lord Buddha, Venus is Lord Mahaveera as both these Planets were without Moon , and Star constellations of Canis Major, Ursa Major started Sikkism and this formation of Religion is due to Moon’s Tricks of Adharma in MahaBharat in Lord Krishna character and remember Planet Venus which is without Moon and Rotates Anti cloakwise and not like other Planets narrated as Mahaveer, and on other side Since Venus is connected to Female Births, Females are always stronger in all aspects they take is the fact. Land Shape of Earth as Lord Jesus and Holy cross by seeing Karna’s cruel end, and Kunti Devi as Goddess Mary mean Not Married but Mother and Sun as Father of Jesus and Each Religion did exact negative to Other Religions’s Dates, Times’Dress, Foods, Colours, Traditions etc is the truthif analised can understand. Star Contellations like Orion – word of honour or cursing, Bootes – Importance to foot , Chappals or Padhukas Comet Liniear – Lakshman Rekha, Bagwad Gita, Asteriods – Tempe Bell, Blackhole – taking away evils by rounding the arms cloak and anticloakwise, Serpens – vikram Bethal stories, snake shapes,Saitans etc. and many more too. So Worshipping and Praying Idols is worthy, Purposeful, as the Life span will be spent without illhealth is guranteed. Animals including Dogs to be kept in zoo as Straying in streets doing sex in front of school going children of male and female is such bad that safe culture cannot be imposed. I'm really conserned about my chances of getting into ivy league schools, as at this stage I should decide whether to have a gap year or go to US high school for 1 year in ordet to get better scores and win some maths/economics competitions. Here are some info about me for you to evaluate my chances. 1) I'm an international student, I've been studying abroad since I got 15. 9 years in Russia, 1 year in SIngapore, 2.5 years in Britain. 2) I've got a certificate for finishing middle school in Russia with (A,A,A,B), certificate for finishing GCSE (A,A,A,A,B,) and A-levels in Britain (A-economics, B- Maths, B-history) bad A-levelvs results are due the difficulty of the course as it is equivalent to the 12th grade and 1st year of the US University. 3) I'm bilingual Russian/English. 4) I have participated in Student Investor Challenge (lost as I purchased too much shares of the company which lost the court case and their share price felt dramatically), President of the Debating society. 5) Going to do SAT in June, predicted score from 2000 to 2200. 6) Have some people ,who finished different Ivy league colleges, will recommend me as a student. 7) Doing a lot of sports. 3 years of tenns, 1 year of boxing, 2 years of thai boxing. Unfortunately haven't done any competitions as was moving from country to country. 8) Have got 2 good techer's recommendations. 9) If I'll have a gap year, than I'd go to russian army. I got accepted into elite russian milittary forces as a commando. This will develop my leader's skills and will allow me to participate in Athletics, long distance ones especially. Moreover, I would be able to participate in Boxing and Wrestling competitions. 10) Have 1 month of working experience in restaraunt sector. If I have low chances of getting in, than could you advice on the best next move for getting into Ivy league. Can I go straight to 12th grade, after finishing which I'll get a certificate of completing high school in the States? Or should I just be a little bit more realistic and apply to other colleges like NYU Additional Details Russian army is just 1 year long. Right now I'm living in the UK, so I got out of there already =). About GPA, unfortunately there is no such thing as GPA in Britain. But A-level results are ABB,but again A-levels are much harder than US high school. I've got predicted SAT which varies from 2000 to 2200, with 740-770 maths score. In addition to that I've got a good US history knowledge, 1890-1945 especially. I'm planning to stay in the US after graduation because, to my knowledge this country has a real working democracy, friendly views about jews, beautiful cities and interesting history, roaring 20s and Great Depression my favourite parts=) In A-levels you can study only 2-4 subjects. The marks for A-levels: History-B, maths-B, economics-A GC SE ( grade 10/11): maths-A business studies-A economics-A IT- B English-B Art and design -A Grade 9/10 in russian school: maths-A english-A russian-B history-A physics-A chemistry-B literature-A sociology-A Russian army is compulsory, so there is nothing I can do about it, other than to go to Russian University, which is not a very good idea... moreOpen Question: what color should a party leader have?

There's this guy I met about a year ago. We worked at the same place. After I left the workplace to go home, which is 7 hours away. I was done with school and we started talking on Facebook. I then didn't like exchanging messages on there so I told him to start texting me and gave him my number. From that day until now, we have been texting each other everyday. A year has passed. Our schedules are very busy an it's been hard to schedule a time to hangout. we finally hung out 2 weeks ago. He was a complete gentleman. Opened the door for me, said "ladies first" when we were buying tickets. He paid for the snacks. We arrived for the movie about 30 min early. So we were the only two in the theater for a while. We just talked and laughed the whole time.No awkward silence at all. After the movie we walked outside and talked by my car for about an hour.He gave me a hug and we left. We have met up before though because I wanted a discount at the place we worked at and he was more than happy to help me out.We met up two times.and we talked alot then. That's when people started asking of we're going out.He teases me a lot in texts and on valentines day I wished him a happy vday and said he was a good friend. And he said aww...you're gonna make me blush. When we worked together, we would talk.he would call me over to help him on the register.smile at me across the room.tease me. I feel I can talk about anything with him and he's also told me a lot about himself as well.I really want to tell him I like him but I'm afraid he won't see me that way and say I'm just a friend. Plus I don't want to make things awkward. Yet again, i sometimes think That he might think i'm too good for him since I have big goals and I'm smart, artistic and have the qualities of a strong leader.I don't want him to think that though. He's 25 and I'm 20. Do you think I should just spill my feelings or wait for something to happen?I don't even know if he likes moreOpen Question: ADVICE PLEASE: I would like to start my own business?
Please give serious answers as this is a serious question. I have always liked the idea of being in charge and I get an adrenalin rush at the idea of owning a company, whether it be small or big. I am a very good leader, I have always been told this, but my first experience of genuine acknowledgement was at my previous employment, an assistant manager position opened up. A notice went around the office and I was overheard talking about how I would love the opportunity to be able to be manage the office as I know what it's like at the bottom and I understand the needs of the department. I was surprised to have my colleagues agree and suggest I apply. Unfortunately they wanted somebody with over 18 months experience in the position I was in. So I was unable to apply due to being there only 13 months. To the point! How could I go about starting business, I am willing to take courses. How would I go about deciding what to base my business on? I am struggling to narrow down my passions and hobbies into career worthy business ventures... Any tips would be fantastic, thank you. moreOpen Question: Can you grade my essay?
This is an essay I wrote for my socials class on Discrimination against non europeans in the Laurier era.. Please grade it and tell me what level you think it is at as I'm not going to tell you what grade I'm in.. :) Thanks!! The year 1896 marks the year in which Wilfred Laurier was elected as Canada’s first French-Canadian Prime Minister. The “Laurier Era”, as many call it, started the transformation of Canada into a multicultural country. Social reforms emerged and in the end ultimately changed the country’s identity. Although the result of this era was the well known rights and freedoms we all enjoy today, the road towards them was not always smooth. New immigrants to Canada were unfairly and cruelly discriminated against by the Canadian Government and European Settlers. European settlers in Canada were very prejudiced towards anyone who did not come from their country or culture. They assumed that their traditions were the best and everything they believed in was the truth. They were a proud nation and seemed to have an aversion to the thought of living in a culturally diverse country. The European settlers resented the Minister of the Interior, Clifford Sifton, and his “open door policy” . Their fear was that all the new groups coming to Canada “would alter the British character of the country” . People who were in support of immigration, such as British Business owners, were only endorsing it for the purpose to exploit the immigrants. They viewed them as a “pool of cheap labour” . This affirms the British Canadians to be a selfish nation. Rather than accept and assimilate newcomers, they would use them to their advantage in turning a profit. This perspective of Europeans settlers proves just how much they cared about appearance. The British Canadians were not the only party guilty of discrimination against non Europeans. The Canadian Government played a large role in encouraging inequity towards these groups. They seemed to initially support immigration by allowing Siftons open-door policy. Although many people were not in favour of this approach, Sifton defended it by saying “... a stalwart peasant in a sheep-skin coat, born of the soil, whose forefathers have been farmers for ten generations, with a stout [strong] wife and a half-dozen children is good quality.” His view is what caused the prairies to become a diverse area. Eventually the Government began to succumb to pressure from the public, British Columbians especially, and in 1905 Frank Oliver replaced Sifton as Minister of the Interior. Oliver actually agreed with the idea that immigration should be restricted. He introduced a more acute immigration policy aimed particularly at non white immigrants. The Governments cruel behaviour towards non white immigrants harshly displays the fact that in times of controversy they may not always choose the right thing to do. By 1891 more than 9400 Chinese immigrants were living in isolated communities, called “Chinatowns”, throughout British Columbia. Employers were eager to hire the Chinese men because they worked hard but could be paid drastically less than white workers. Labour Unions began to feel bitter as they believed the Chinese were taking away job opportunities from their workers. Leaders of the unions eventually came to the forefront in promoting Asian exclusionary legislature. In 1907 the Asiatic Exclusion League rallied up over 9000 people and marched down to Vancouver’s Chinatown. They destroyed much of the community, breaking windows, vandalizing buildings and terrorizing the small businesses. All of this was an act of defiance in response to Lieutenant-Governor, James Dunsmir, refusal to sign a bill restricting the immigration of Chinese into Canada. This event was a giant embarrassment to Vancouver and they apologized to the Japanese Government and worked out a settlement for the damaged properties. Despite their embarrassment a ban of 400 peoples per year from Asia was issued. Furthermore the Government developed the “continuous passage policy” which required a direct, nonstop route to Canada. Since this was impossible to do coming from Asia, they believed they had solved their immigration problems. Both the settlers Canadian Government are accusable in the instance of Asian discrimination. It frighteningly communicates that devastating effects can occur if feelings of anger and hostility reach a boiling point. The discrimination against non European immigrants by European settlers and the Canadian Government was not justified. Immigrants brought new perspectives, diverse traditions, and hardworking attitudes to Canada. They were greeted by an arrogant and abusive nation which offered poor opportunities and treated them as inferiors. In a country where they had come to simply improve their quality of life for themselves and their family, they instead found themselves in the middle of a battle for, what should have been, basic rights and freedoms. moreOpen Question: What path should my "Tragic Hero" character take? Should he stay a good guy, or commit a terrible act?
This would come in the middle of the book, after A LOT of character development. The reader will be sympathizing and understanding this character's struggle by this point. This character is named Connor. The novel takes place in a chaotic city, where social values have been broken by a mixture of socioeconomic instability and a contagious disease that causes insanity. Through the novel, he kills people, and justified that. Now, a part of him looks at Laine (his already-taken love interest) no longer as a friend, and more as a solution to his sexual urges (he doesn't want to die a virgin). He has always lusted over her, but as local civilization collapses, he struggles with morality. This is where I need YOU to make a decision for me. Assume that what I said holds true, and character development has lead you to understand the pitfalls of this guy. Connor comes to a strong moral crossroad as he spends time with this young woman. Your opinion will weigh on how I write this novel. Now, there are five options: OPTION ONE-good prevails: Connor, despite his sexual fixation with Laine, decides that rape is NEVER an option. He embodies his evil thoughts in his reflection in a mirror, and shatters it. Laine comes in to console him, he confesses that he is in love with her. She, in turn, thinks he is going crazy, but stays with him. Connor goes on to become a heroic follower in the story. Eventually, he sacrifices himself to get Laine out of the city, believing that he has been infected by the disease. This option signifies a "redemption/noble sacrifice" approach: he kills off his bad thoughts with physical pain to continue protecting the woman he loves. OPTION TWO-no one but us: Connor comes to terms with the fact that Laine is all he cares about. He puts aside his protective inner thoughts and confesses that he has loved her for a very long time. He admits that he's willing to do anything to keep her alive, and suggests that they pull together as lovers, at least for a little personal comfort. She agrees to this, and assumes her boyfriend is dead so she can move on. They make love. This leads him to have greater confidence. He gains a position of leadership in a group of survivalists, and Laine is by his side. This signifies a "Loss of Innocence" in the book, and a "salvation of companionship" element. OPTION THREE-equilibrium: Connor suppresses his sexual urges, and even his romantic feelings, and starts to lose his personality. He's stuck between good and evil in a sense. He becomes more and more mechanical. Further, he begins to look at situations from a detached and logical perspective. Losing his emotional sense makes him relentless. He fights like one who is seeking death, and because of this apathy, survives. People sometimes believe that he is a crazy, thanks to his lack of emotion. He fights like they do; giving no quarter to rivals. Eventually, he becomes a leader of a group, and he leaves Laine behind when she is weak or argumentative about one of his decisions; that will signify that he is abandoning his beloved past for total equilibrium. It's a sense of a "loss of humanity" approach. OPTION FOUR-tragedy: Connor comes to terms with the fact there is nobody else but Laine left for him to love. He tells her the stress of their situation has taken a toll on them both, and that they should sleep together, with no mention of love. Laine rejects this, and tells him she isn't interested like that. Connor sulks about it. He later confronts her once more. He claims he's earned it, by being her protector. He forces her into sex; she consents but feels violated. He feels happy with the end result, and thinks she loves him back. They have sex several times, Laine becoming increasingly disturbed as the act continues. Connor soon wakes up looking down the barrel of his own gun. He has an epiphany, seeing he has done wrong, and apologizes for forcing her to have sex with him. He admits that he loves her, but, she, in a fit of emotional fury, pulls the trigger mid-sentence. She soon realizes she loved him, and shoots herself. It's a "Shakespearean" approach, truly the most tragic. "best intentions" carried out poorly. OPTION FIVE-evil prevails: Connor, driven by his lust for Laine, decides that morality isn't meant for this new world. The big city has gone to hell, people murder one another at every turn, they do whatever they want to. Connor decides it's time he did something to satisfy his urges. He forces himself on Laine, and a struggle ensues. He beats her, and rapes her, wanting not only sex from this beautiful woman, but a sense power over her which he had never felt before. Connor becomes the antagonist, and she the protagonist. Connor frequently uses her for sex. Eventually, she steals his gun and blows his head off as he sleeps. It's like a "Fall from grace" approach.Thank you for reading, any and all answers are highly appreciated!ce" approach.Thank you for reading, any and all answers are highly appreciated! moreOpen Question: Do you think I could get into the following Universities or colleges/ recommendations?

Success by Robert William Service You ask me what I call Success - It is, I wonder, Happiness? It is not wealth, it is not fame, Nor rank, nor power nor honoured name. It is not triumph in the Arts - Best-selling books or leading parts. It is not plaudits of the crowd, The flame of flags, processions proud. The panegyrics of the Press are but the mirage of Success. You may have all of them, my friend, Yet be a failure in the end. I've know proud Presidents of banks Who've fought their way up from the ranks, And party leaders of renown Who played as boys in Shantytown. Strong, self-made men, yet seek to trace Benignity in any face; Grim purpose, mastery maybe, Yet never sweet serenity; Never contentment, thoughts that bless - That mellow joy I deem Success. The haply seek some humble hearth, Quite poor in goods yet rich in mirth, And see a man of common clay Watching his little ones at play; A laughing fellow full of cheer, Health, strength and faith that mocks at fear; Who for his happiness relies On joys he lights in other eyes; He loves his home and envies none. . . . Who happier beneath the sun? Aye, though he walk in lowly ways, Shining Success has crowned his days. moreOpen Question: Would you be happy if YOU owned your own healthcare coverage, NOT your employer and NOT federal government?

And what if instead of an expensive comprehensive healthcare policy it was a much less expensive catastrophic healthcare insurance....it covered you and your familiy in the event of a low probability event that triggered catastrophically high healthcare expenses. And then imagine if you simply paid your doctors the cost for every visit as you went. Doctors in smaller rural communities might have to adjust costs to accomodate the ability to pay of their communities, like grocery stores do....like plumbers do...like everyone else already does. Once the present increasingly dysfunctional healthcare system was replaced with this fundamentally sound healthcare system, the safety net programs of Medicare & Medicaid could be re-built leveraging the sound market in place. Poor could receive "food stamps" vouchers to buy healthcare and enrolled in catastrophic healthcare insurance. People with pre-existing conditions would be forced to live under Medicaid programs but with a more sound market-driven healthcare system available would definitively receive better care. 47 minutes agoHope staying in the US after graduation is not a problem for me.I can get the Green card which allows to gain US passport if you hold a russian one. Thanks for the help =) moreOpen Question: so... i need help again...?

Lemme just start by saying that I used to be part of a popular group because my first cousin is popular and we were sorta close (not anymore). When we were in highschool I realized that they didn't care about me even though we were friends since 4th grade. They wouldnt invite me anywhere when they were with their popular friends. They got new friends in highschool and I literally would just sit with them at lunch and they wouldn't talk to me. I was just a floater at that point so I left and went to another group of friends. That didn't really work out because I was only friends with a few of them but not the leader of the group, apparently of you're not friends with the leader, you're not a real part of the group. So I became best friends with one of the less popular ones but then he went to college one year earlier than me. Now it's senior year and I only hang out with him and his friends on Saturdays and in school I'm acquaintances with a few juniors and sophomores. My friend in college made a group of friends at his school that I must incorporate myself in when I get to college. But now I'm just sitting here and seeing all these people hangin out, going to Vegas on school days cuz they think they're cool, goin to prom. I just wanna know: does popularity even matter in college? In other words: does it get better? Will I ever get a chance to start over and recreate myself. I don't wanna be seen as that weird, unpopular kid but I also don't wanna be seen as that kid who used to be quiet in class and unpopular and is now trying to make more friends. I wanna erase my past and make a better future. Will I ever get that chance in college, or will it just be the same thing as right now? Thanks if you read all this btw… moreOpen Question: I hate popular people?

Hello, my name is James Williams and I am a college student. Steve Jobs and Larry Page are my idols because they did so much for humans and it is my goal to be as world changing as them. Regardless of am I actually capable of doing it, I want to take that as a goal. However, recently strange thoughts have seemed to destroy my goal, please allow me to give a few facts as a reference. Google is on a mission to dramatically change humans. And Google understands the only way for the humans species to continue is to colonize the solar system and to move further to outer space, and that’s why Google’s been developing on the technological aspects as well as the scientific aspects, by holding events such as Google Science Fair, Google Lunar X Prize to popularize science. Even CEO Larry Page was investing on asteroid mining to reserve more resources for humans for further usage. These “leaders” are trying to take part in reserving a huge reservoir of scientific knowledge and technology for humans. However, as these leaders brings humans further into outer space, there is a high possibility that we will finally meet much more advanced life species out there. What will happen to companies on Planet Earth like Google, if a much more advanced life species showed us “alien technology”. The fact is customers want the best products, and there’s a high chance that these “alien products” will definitely be way better than an Android smartphone. And here’s my question. Will humans turn away from human technology and buy alien products, and does this mark the end of technological development on Planet Earth? Will the role of entrepreneurs be taken over by aliens who can do the job much better, another question is should we even let aliens help us, or should we stick with our own technology. The question seems to be solved when the answer is “stick with our own technology”. Yet this answer raises another question. What is the range of the word “our”? Humans that live on this planet, or life inside the solar system? Or life inside our galaxy? Long time ago, humans are not so “open”, and that’s why there are surnames. The Williams tend to stick with their own people, and the Smiths tend to stick with their own clan. Rarely do they share information between each other. But throughout these hundreds of years, people with different surnames have come together, and formed a country, called USA. So the word “our” is ambiguous. I’m really afraid that if advanced species helped us by giving us all the technology we need, the role that entrepreneurs, or top servants such as doctors (advanced species may have a way to cure AIDS) played would be lost. Will the help that they offer destroy our purpose of life? moreOpen Question: The Fate Of Contributive Humans?

http://www.focus.com/briefs/top-10-leadership-qualities/ Integrity is the integration of outward actions and inner values. A person of integrity is the same on the outside and on the inside. Such an individual can be trusted because he or she never veers from inner values, even when it might be expeditious to do so. A leader must have the trust of followers and therefore must display integrity. Dedication means spending whatever time or energy is necessary to accomplish the task at hand. A leader inspires dedication by example, doing whatever it takes to complete the next step toward the vision. By setting an excellent example, leaders can show followers that there are no nine-to-five jobs on the team, only opportunities to achieve something great. Magnanimity means giving credit where it is due. A magnanimous leader ensures that credit for successes is spread as widely as possible throughout the company. Conversely, a good leader takes personal responsibility for failures. This sort of reverse magnanimity helps other people feel good about themselves and draws the team closer together. To spread the fame and take the blame is a hallmark of effective leadership. Leaders with humility recognize that they are no better or worse than other members of the team. A humble leader is not self-effacing but rather tries to elevate everyone. Leaders with humility also understand that their status does not make them a god. Mahatma Gandhi is a role model for Indian leaders, and he pursued a “follower-centric” leadership role. Openness means being able to listen to new ideas, even if they do not conform to the usual way of thinking. Good leaders are able to suspend judgment while listening to others’ ideas, as well as accept new ways of doing things that someone else thought of. Openness builds mutual respect and trust between leaders and followers, and it also keeps the team well supplied with new ideas that can further its vision. Creativity is the ability to think differently, to get outside of the box that constrains solutions. Creativity gives leaders the ability to see things that others have not seen and thus lead followers in new directions. The most important question that a leader can ask is, “What if … ?” Possibly the worst thing a leader can say is, “I know this is a dumb question ... Fairness means dealing with others consistently and justly. A leader must check all the facts and hear everyone out before passing judgment. He or she must avoid leaping to conclusions based on incomplete evidence. When people feel they that are being treated fairly, they reward a leader with loyalty and dedication. Assertiveness is not the same as aggressiveness. Rather, it is the ability to clearly state what one expects so that there will be no misunderstandings. A leader must be assertive to get the desired results. Along with assertiveness comes the responsibility to clearly understand what followers expect from their leader. A sense of humor is vital to relieve tension and boredom, as well as to defuse hostility. Effective leaders know how to use humor to energize followers. Humor is a form of power that provides some control over the work environment. And simply put, humor fosters good camaraderie. moreResolved Question: Why are women called feminists and hypocritical for defending their gender?
I am a decent person who believes that men and women are equal. There are some things that men are physically and mentally built for that women aren't and vise versa, but that doesn't mean that one gender is better than the other. If a woman hears or sees a generalized statement about women that she finds to be sexist, of course she's going to speak up. Take for instance the issue of women in the military. I believe that women have every right to fight for their country, the same right as men. They know the life-threatening risk of military life during wartime. So why are their skills called into question when it comes to combat situations? If their presence in a combat situation compromises the safety of the men, why bother training women in combat in the first place? I just answered a question about this exact issue. I defended my gender because it was stated that women are horrible soldiers and wreck everything which is why they're not allowed in combat situations. I believe that it makes men weaker mentally when they see women injured which is understandable. I also stated that we shouldn't be fighting a war and that I wish all our soldiers were safe at home. Every new president (a man), says they'll bring the troops home but it takes a while and they don't stay for long before the president needs them to go back and fight. I only say this to point out the mentality of men, especially politicians. Its all about the battle and the win. You can see it in most of the sports they watch. I'm just stating the obvious. Most men are aggressive and competitive by nature. Apparently my answer was misinterpreted and I'm a feminist and hypocrite. One person even pointed out all the female leaders from other countries who have been responsible for many deaths. Of course these women have been dead for at least a century or more. This is a different country and time period. Who knows if a woman would be a good president. What are your thoughts? Please be polite. Thank you.I just wanted to add a few things in response to some of the answers. To the guy who says that nobody puts food in a man's mouth, that he has to go get it himself, and that he has to take care of his family too. Well I have put food in a man's mouth. I had to take care of my ex and a 3-month old baby because he kept quitting jobs. There are many women out there working to provide for their family who are in either the same situation I was or they are taking care of their sick or disabled boyfriends, husbands, or fathers. Either way, they know what its like.I also wanted to say that I did not contradict myself. We were born equal as human beings. Our abilities and intelligence are what make us individuals.I am also interested in solutions, not just defending my gender. The problem is that it always seems to come down to gender. And I wanted to defend myself when I said the presidents have always been men and that's why we're at war. I just meant to point out that all moreOpen Question: True or False? I had to write film review and I need help and critique, enjoy! Directed by Gary Ross, the Hunger Games is a film that has been adapted from the bestselling series ‘The Hunger Games trilogy.’ The movie was highly anticipated and had expectations that were by far satisfied. The Hunger Games are set in the ruins of North America where every year twelve districts have a ‘reaping’ where a male and female between the age of twelve and eighteen are chosen to fight the other chosen ‘tributes’ to death. The story may not exactly apply to everyday life situations but it highly reflects on society and human beings. The Hunger Games stars Jennifer Lawrence and Joshua Hutcherson as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. The story starts with Katniss in her dark hollow house and her sister Primrose Everdeen (Willow Shields) lying on a bed. The mood is set simply through the lighting and silence of the house and the viewer will understand the unspoken atmosphere of the area. Primrose or ‘Prim’ as she is referred to by her sister Katniss has just woken from a nightmare in which she had her name drawn from the raffle for her to participate in the Hunger Games. This reflects on humans as a whole, a small girl who is helpless and a big president who organises her potential death. Humans tend to pressurise others and this reflects greatly on us –not to mention the mood that you can see through the shadows across Prim’s teary cheeks and her cold, gasping breath. A similar practice is shown when Prim is actually chosen for the games and the only thing I can compare to the expression on her face is that of a lost puppy. Alone and helpless against a bigger force of which is reality for the young girl. The soft lighting and the faint noise of a harmonious tune that plays in the background sets the mood perfectly. And then you hear the screams of a distraught older sister whom doesn’t even need to think about volunteering for an almost certain death. As long as her sister is safe her fate does not mean anything –a heart-warming relationship between families. Sometimes I needed to pinch myself to remember that the people that I was viewing are just actors and the lighting and music are all digitally enhanced. Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss) was not known very well before her big role but had featured in Winter’s Bone and Like Crazy. However Joshua Hutcherson (Peeta) is well known for roles such as Sam Anderson in Journey 2 the Mysterious Island and Jesse Aarons in Bridge to Terabithia which are well known movies. The combination of these two actors working together is breath taking and they take on their roles amazingly. It may be unfair to judge these actors based on what they say as there was a script involved but the expressions they give and the tones in their voices were just outstanding. The script that was based off the book was also well done but I am disappointed in them leaving out some of the major factors to the story line. For instance the symbol of the Hunger Games is the mocking-jay pin of which is obtained in the movie with-out meaning. In the book it explains how each district has a symbol and the mayor’s daughter gives it to her. This leaves out more information about the hierarchy of Panem, her schooling and katniss’ only friend. However the concept of a higher leader in the lower area may have confused some viewers but the behind story of the pin is one of the key features that I believe should have been implemented. The Hunger Games not only has an amazing storyline but the story progresses at the perfect speed. The scene’s go for the right amount of time to take them in and the camera angles shows most characters emotions. The masterpiece was scripted by the original author of the books, Suzanne Collins which was a good thing as she was the one who created the story so who better to script it? The story crosses most genres such as action, adventure, romance and sci-fi. These expanses of genres have combined creating one amazing movie. Not many movies that have been compared to The Hunger Games due to its complex storyline, except for Battle Royale which has a similar concept of children going to an arena to fight each other to death. However the movie has been rated [R] and Collins stated she had never heard of it. The story is so unique, I recommend it to anyone over the age of thirteen (Due to violence) With a budget of over 78 million dollars, fans expected big things from the Hunger Games. And they were not let down as the most recent recording for the amount of money made from the movie has exceeded over 600 million dollars. This figure may seem high but once you have seen the film you will understand just how it made that much money. The movie has been rated a high 8.2 out of 10 but I rate it a 9.5 out of 10. The only thing left to do is to wait for the sequels moreOpen Question: What Are My Chances of Getting Into a UC/Private School In California?
Im currently a junior and aspiring anesthesiologist enrolled in one of the rural high schools in California (the Antelope Valley to be exact), where educational benefits are very limited. However, since my freshman - sophomore year, I was apart of an early college high school (SOAR High), located on the AVC campus, yet left due to the distance of the college from my town, significant drop in GPA (however improved greatly my soph year) and constant stress, I parted ways in turn for a more closer school. Since then, my GPA has escalated from averaging 2.5-3.0's to a 3.5 - 4.3. In addition, I have been able to apply myself to extracurricular activities not offered at SOAR, such as band, indoor percussion and a vast variety of clubs. Not to mention, the decent amount of AP courses offered here, continuum of AVID and various achievement outside of academics have really improved my optimism towards getting into a UC or private university. However, after I looked at my HS transcript, it only showed my GPA from 10/11th grade for UC's and CSU's which isn't necessarily bad (freshman year was a 2.6/2.1 average). So if that's the case, my chances are of good standings for both. Still, even after talking with numerous counselor's and rumors of the budget cut problems of the public universities in Cali, Im still not quite solaced about making it to either one and thus might end up going out of state (my last resort >.>). Class Ranked: Not yet ranked SAT/ACT: Not yet started yet will take them next month With that said, are my chances still exceptional or strong for most of Cal's private universities and UC's? I plan on applying for UCD, UCSD, UCI, UCR, UCM, USC, UCSB & John Hopkins University (even though its on the other side of the country). I know my odds of getting into USC and UCD are very high esp due to USC high competition internationally and UCD, top class percentile, yet Im still striving hard for these two! moreOpen Question: Is he playing with me...? He's hot and he's cold..?
I'm a college student and recently joined a school club (language club). I met the strangest guy there that I have a hard time reading.. -.- He had come to observe my language class one day before. I had gone to a few of the club meetings to make friends to further my language ability, then maybe on the 3rd meeting he sat down and started talking to me randomly and asked me a lot about myself and I mean a lot. He is the club president, by the way, so I took this to be natural. It was kind of embarassing actually, how much attention he gave me and he asked so much about me. He made a comment about wanting to get married with an American girl. So, I decided to send him a FB friend invite to which he accepted graciously. Then, the next club meeting (4th meeting) I went right up and sat down next to him while he was discussing something with the secretary of the club. And he was just like oh hey, and showed me the food they had for that day made by the club, then he kind of dissapeared and came back and brought a girl over who started talking to me. He left to go talk to some guy in his own language. I felt kind of confused and hurt because he had seemed so interested in me before and then brought the girl over like he thought I needed friends. I already have several friends in the club, they just weren't there that day. Then, when talking with others he kind of didn't pay attention to me and even ignored when me and another girl were talking about him and she was laughing how he's oblivious to everything (aka us ignoring him) and it took him a while to realize and the girl to jokingly tell him we had been talking at him since he left the conversation a while ago and he hadn't realized. I was sad because I felt like if he liked me, he would've made some effort to talk to me but he seemed to be avoiding me instead. Then (5th and last meeting of this year) when I was talking to some other people he comes and sits down and talks with the guy, and then just awkwardly says hi to me. I think he feels weird that I friended him since he's older than me by several years. My other friends from the club weren't there so I just left after a few minutes. A week later/today I got a facebook message from him saying Oh hey too bad we couldn't talk at all on Friday (day of the last club meeting), hope your exams are going well. Mine are over by this weekend and then i'm going back to my home country to work at a hotel until the next school year. So, I hope you have a great summer wherever you go" -.- .... Is he flirting or just trying to be a good club leader? What is up with him? I think I am misinterpreting his actions to my own liking, when he is just a super nice guy, what do you think? moreOpen Question: Young US Marine in need of some guidance?
I have been in the fleet for like 5 months now, and life hasn't gotten any better. I been put down a lot by my seniors, my team leader tells me he hates me more than anyone else in the platoon. I'm even put down by my own peer level. Im not the strongest marine, but I never give up. Always put out during training excersizes or pt. I'm always trying to put my squad before myself. I constantly watch out for my team member. But it's not enough. I been questioning myself about if I'm good enough to be a marine. All I want is to better myself, become the marine my team leader and peers want me to be. But I receive no help. I been depressed for over 2 months now and i don't know who to speak to. If I'm so fucked up, why can't I receive any help to get better? And whom should I speak to to get help? moreOpen Question: Want to buy / sell me anime stuff ?

In the end of next week my school is having try outs to see what band you'll be in. It consists of 12 major scales, sight reading piece, playing some music, and it will NOT be easy especially for middle school. Next year i want to get in the TOP band. This year I was in the middle band. I will be the only 7th grader (going into 8th) that is continuing. A 6th grader (going into 7th) was already promised the top band so I know i can also get in it. In middle band I also won the most improved trophy and that gave me confidence that i can get even better with hard work. Any other tips you have for me to get better?? Or be a good section leader for nxt year?? moreOpen Question: What's everyone's deal with Freemasonry?
Before i state my argument, i'd like to ask anyone that doesn't have anything constructive to add not to bother commenting below. With every Freemasonry-related question i see, some ultra-religious, uneducated people comment, acting like it's some sort of damn crusade or pilgrimage that they're on, requiring them to post evidenceless and rediculous lies about the freemasons, relating them to atheists, satanists, or Illuminati (a personal favorite, i laugh ever time). Arguments stated by such people are almost always logical fallacies. So, what makes you people think that Freemasons are that bad? Well, i'll tell you. And you probably don't even know why, which is why i need to tell you. See, the Catholic Church is non religiously tolerant. They have issues with people who are not catholic, so to speak. Furthermore, they would prefer for their members to stay away from other religions. In the Church's eyes, Freemasonry is a problem because it is a religiously tolerant brotherhood, meaning that they have member from all religious, meeting under one roof, as brothers. So, in an attempt to make the Freemasons seem unfavorable, Catholic members created rumors, including but not limited to: Freemasons are devil worshippers, working with "the Illuminati", ect. If you would really like to know, the Freemasons are a religiously tolerant, charitable brotherhood, the goal of which is to make good men better. The Illuminati are a joke, and anyone who says otherwise is a fool. They were disbanded over 200 years ago. The Freemasons, on the other hand, are not. However, being a man of high intellect and little bias, i will, for a brief moment, think of the Freemasons as a "Satanist" group, or whichever other rumor you may want. Freemasonry was very popular in the early foundation of America. George Washington, Paul Revere, Benjamin Franklin, and other great leaders were all in the Brotherhood. But, at that time, you could not ask a friend to join. He had to ask you. So, i ask you, why is this the case? Surely, any power-crazed satanist group would want as many "followers" as possible, so why not invite everyone to join? These people were revered for their help in starting the US, and they certainly had the means to make being a Freemason the "norm" for all of the US.. George Washington was a exalted military leader, first President of the United States under the Constitution.. Benjamin Franklin, with his postage system.. People would pour into their ranks, had they wanted mindless followers, as you religious, Yahoo-Answers crusaders want to call us. So, let me know what you think. What is your reasonable, logically sound argument now? moreResolved Question: Is there anything wrong with a twenty year old college student not voting in the presidential election?
I'm twenty & in college. I don't consider myself a liberal or a conservative. I feel like I'm too young to be labeling myself as a Republican or Democrat when I haven't even had time to finish growing and maturing. I believe in being a follower before being a leader and paying my dues. It doesn't seem like liberals or conservatives agree with this notion, so I just put myself in the independent category. Right now, I'm not worried about who our president is as long as he does his job. Me, I'm just focused on going to school, making good grades & working part-time. When I get financially stable and working full-time, I feel like that will be the time to get serious about our nation's economy & politicians. Obviously, President Obama has control of our nation's college youth, but I'm don't buy into his smooth-talking. However, I consider myself to be more open-minded that most conservatives. As far as the economy goes; not my problem. As long as I'm paying for my college tuition & working, I feel like I'm doing my part. I'm not going to blame George Bush for our economic troubles because that's pretty childish. Anyway, I'm just seeing how others feel about guys like me not voting. Opinons please? Atheists, please don't be childish. Not all Atheists are childish, but yahoo answers is full of them. lolGreg. lol. I guess that means I'll just have to "WORK" a little bit harder to pay for my tuition? "Boo Hoo, da mean Republicans want me to work! Wah Wah! Grow up Greg! Lazy people are the reason our economy is screwed up! moreOpen Question: I HATE MY NEW PRIVATE SCHOOL!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!! 10 POINTS!!?
I used to attend an all girls, catholic private school in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in my state. We wore a preppy yet cute uniform, and there was even an on campus boutique that sold lily pulitzer hair accessories. Classes were easy and fun, and I had tons of friends since I had attended the school since I was three years old. Then my parents decided to transfer me to another school.... which I absolutely hate! My new school is also a private school in an equally wealthy neighborhood, but no uniforms. I know this sounds nerdy and dumb, but I really miss uniforms! Preppy is my style, and uniforms are amazing! (to me, at least) For those of you who don't understand this, I've been wearing uniforms since I was three...Now I have to exhaust myself by keeping up with trends and bla bla bla. I am also kind of chubby (I am 5' 3" and weigh 118 lbs) so some of the new trends...like skinny neon colored jeans and such... don't exactly look good on me. Anyway, I also hate not having the snob factor of my old school! Now, if my mom drags me to run errands after school, no one knows I go to private school because I'm not wearing a uniform. For all I know, people could think I go to the super poor public school in the next town over!! major ew!! I also hate the fact my new school is co-ed: because middle school boys are ugly and immature. And there is no on campus boutique!!! Since my new school is supposedly a school for gifted kids, my classes are super hard and I hate them!!!!!!!! I am also like the fattest girl in my grade (118 lbs) and I just can't seem to make friends. Everyone is so cliquey! Every single person, boy or girl, popular or loser, is in a clique....And I just can't seem to fit into one, because at my old school: I was the leader of my own clique. Also, since my new school is not catholic, there are lots of big bar and bat mitzvahs and parties like that to go to and my parents are super strict so I always look like a three year old when the other girls are wearing minidresses and stilettos. Also, every single one of the popular guys and girls are jewish, and being catholic, that pretty much kills my chances of popularity. Actually, there is one catholic girl who is popular, and boy is she a b****. She has two best friends/fans/worshippers who follow her around. One is super skinny and the daughter of a supermodel and the other is like the richest girl in the grade. Anyway the lead girl is super mean but she is so confident no one wants to stand up to her....and my mom thinks I'm friends with there because she is friends with her mom. I absolutely hate my new school could someone please please please tell me what to do???? I am looking for detailed, honest, honest, honest answers. Thank you so much to all of you!!! I appreciate every answer! Thank you, <3 Kate moreVoting Question: Are Irish Americans, ashamed of the Kennedy family, as a bad role model?
Having pride in your heritage, for Irish Americans, might be difficult when one of the most well known, Irish American families, the Kennedys, have committed so much wrong doing and horrific behavior. Papa Joe Kennedy is the only one of the clan who had any success in business, most of the Kennedys live off of Papa Joe's massive fortune and do not work. The problem is, Joe Kennedy was a major figure in smuggling and ran a criminal enterprise, as a leader in the Irish mafia. The HUGE fortune earned by Joe has blood on it, most of it came from crime- cheating, stealing, lying, beating up innocent people and burying bodies. Due to the shocking assassinations of JFK and then RFK, completely distorted the media's perspective on the Kennedy family, all their crimes, wrong doings, elitism, hypocrisy and entitlement was hidden from the public, the liberal media created the perception of Camelot and as time changed political direction, Ted Kennedy became one of the leaders of the socialist uprising, although JFK was absolutely the opposite, he started the Viet Nam war based on his concern that communism was one of the most serious threats to freedom and the American way. It sure is ironic how the Kennedy family, led by Teddy and all the next generation rehab addicts became leaders of socialism and the proponents to destroy America and its capitalistic economy. With all of the crime, drug usage, alcohol abuse, a murder, a rape, a DUI felony manslaughter and all the other abuses of power, arrogance, elitism and entitlement from this one family, liberals and their media worship the Kennedys, creating propaganda, lies and deceit to make heroes out of these reprobates, monsters and traitors. For Irish Americans who are offended by the generalizations of drinking, fighting, dishonesty and lack of moral fibre associated with Irish in America, are the good Irish people offended by the worship of the Kennedys by liberals and the liberal media? When Ted Kennedy raised funding for IRA terrorists to buy bombs and weapons, to murder innocent English men, women and children was this Teddy's worst offense against humanity? or was his DUI manslaughter, leaving a woman to drown to protect himself from the law when he drove into the water while drunk and left the scene, to sober up? Ted Kennedy is remembered for only 2 accomplishments- raising the minimum wage for high school students and staying sober for almost 3 years, this August. Is all mankind ashamed of this family of reprobates, drunks, drug addicts, ne'er-do-wells and bums, living off of the blood money of Papa Joe, one of most well known gangsters to emerge from the Prohibition era? moreResolved Question: is this first bit of my book any good?
im 13 and want to be an author so i started writing this book not so long ago and want to know if i'm any good, so tell me what you think, good or bad They were coming for me. It’s been almost five years since it happened, and now they found me. And they are coming. I run barefooted through the forest, making no sound at all as they pursue me. I jump up and quickly climb the nearest tree to just above the point people would normally stop. And just in time. I look down and see the procession of terrifying beasts known as Oklaes pass beneath me. I wait five minutes before dropping back to the ground and release my breath. I turn around and run back to where I had made camp. I take a quick look behind me as I round a corner and crash into something hard. I look up and come face to face with the most horrid creature I have ever seen. The leader of all monsters. The Zirho. I want to scream or run but I can’t. The monster opens it huge mouth and I can see the flames forming. I finally found the ability to scream and I do as I close my eyes, waiting for death. I sit bolt right up in my bed, still screaming and take in the room around me. I am in my familiar room with its three white walls and black furniture. I feel the softness of my black and white bed spread as my mother comes rushing in. “Alice what’s wrong? Are you okay?” she says as she fusses with my pillows. “Yes sorry mother I just had a bad dream,” I replay as calmly as I can even though I am still panicked. That’s the third time this week. “Oh, okay than. Well try to get some sleep. You have a big day ahead of you tomorrow,” she tells me as she leaves the room. And she’s right. Tomorrow is my sweet 16th birthday party and I’m having a banquet that Thea and I have been planning all year. I snuggle up in my blankets and go back to sleep. I wake up in the morning to a knock on my door. “Alice, can I come in?” I here Thea’s kind voice ask. I quickly jump up and make my bed, since a look at my clock tells me I should’ve been awake an hour ago. “Ya come on in,” I reply and my door opens, revealing my best friend. She is a bit shorter than me even though I am younger and has shoulder length strawberry blonde hair. She is holding a black garment bag. “Hi! Happy birthday!” she exclaims as she runs over and gives me a hug. “Thanks,” I say, “We’re getting ready in the bathroom,” I lead her over to my huge bathroom which has two sinks, a huge counter and mirrors everywhere. “In here,” I tell as I rush over to my closet to retrieve my matching garment bag. When I am back the bathroom I see Thea looking around in a cupboard under the closest sink. “Whatcha doin?” I ask. “Looking for all your make-up and hair stuff,” she replies. I walk over to the cupboards under the stretch of counter and pull out my three huge make-up cases, a hair straightener, a curler, hot rollers, hairspray, perfume and some hair sparkly stuff I got for Christmas. “Oh,” Thea says as she joins me at the counter, “Make-up, hair or dresses first?” “Dresses, so we don’t mess anything up putting it on,” I reason. “Good idea,” she says. I let her have the bathroom and walk into my room to change. I unzip the bag and reveal a short black sleeveless dress, that’s a little too short in my mother’s opinion, and has silver sparkles along the top, a silver waist band with a black rose on it. “Oh. My. Gosh.” I say when Thea opens the door. Her dress goes down to her ankles and is turquoise with a silver sparkly oval hole over her heart and straps coming from it. “It’s not to much is it?” she asks, twirling. “Not at all it’s perfect,” I tell her and she grins. “Thanks,” she says, then, as if just noticing my dress, gasps at it in amazement. “Do you like it?” I ask “It’s…it’s… I love it!” she exclaims. “Thanks, now let’s get to work,” I tell her as we walk over to the counter, “I think we should do our make-up first,” “Shouldn’t we have like a stylist to do this or something?” She asks. “Nope,” I say smiling, “I can do your hair if you like though,” “OK,” she replies and we get down to work. I quickly set about the task of applying a coat of silver eye shadow to my eyelids followed by a black accent. Then I finished off by applying my mascara, eyeliner, red lipstick and blush. Thea finishes soon after me and I start curling the bottom part of her hair. Once I am done I start straightening my waist length dark brown hair. After I put in my head band that matches my belt and we head down stairs to head over to the banquet hall. “Hey mom,” I say as I see her in the kitchen. “Hi,” She says as she turns around to face us, “Wow, u girls look stunning!” I can feel my cheeks starting to blush and I can tell Thea’s doing the same. “Thanks,” we reply. “The decorations are through in the living room, why don’t you two put them in the trunk while I finish this dish?” she asks, gesturing to her almost finished fruit bouquet. moreOpen Question: Has history demonstrated that leftist snakeoil is as destructive as it is fraudulant?
History repeats itself. Let me tell you a little story: When Chairman Mao took over china in 1949 based on fake promises of utopia to the peasants, what ensued was decades of catestophic failure which brought one of the world's oldest and most advanced cultures to its knees. By the mid 1970s, even Mao's own party members realized that Marxism was an abysmal failure. Over 30,000,000 people died as a result of the failed policies. So much for a communist utopia. The only person who still believed it was the fat stupid chairman. When the fool finally keeled over in 1976, everyone rejoiced. When Deng Xiaopeng took control and implemented capitalism, as foreign observers have stated was right all along everyone prospered. Fast-forward more than a half century: Al Gore has become the leader of a global movement that, like Mao's snakeoil, goes completely against human nature. Al Gore and the "true believers" of his fraud almost have the western world's political system under their thumbs. Outside of the United States, Britain, and other countries with Anglican (classical) liberal tradition; much of the western world is falling for the Global Warming fraud; hook line and sinker. This is despite all indications that the science is based on FRAUD and GUESSES, and that all the statist proposals put forward by its proponents are completely out of line with proven theories of economic progress. They are only an excuse for global redistribution of wealth. Does the United States adhere enough to its liberal philosophies to resist these "feel good" siren songs from out of touch environmentalists? Or will this leftist snakeoil bring the western world to its knees like it has to other advanced societies?Follow up question: Isn't it typical how when a global warming cultist gets challenged with legitimate points, he or she can only hurl insults? moreOpen Question: im taking my exam can anyone help me?

My teacher couldnt make the lesson so Mr Jones had to come and watch us. He basically just told everyone to revise and then came and sat down next to me. He started marking papers and then after a few minutes he stopped turned to look at me and said "Your'e going on the trip to Italy right?" and smiled. (But he's never taught me before. I highly doubt he would have remembered every face in the room) Then he asked me my name, and about who's group I was going to be in in Italy. (Students had a group leader. there was like 10 in each group. just for counting numbers, travelling etc) I told him I didn't know then he replied that hopefully I'll be in his group! But sadly I wasn't So were in Italy and we're walking around this church. Its really busy and everyone from school had split up. Me, Mr Jones, another teacher and a few of my friends were walking around together as a little group. My friends and the other teacher were walking slightly ahead of me and Mr Jones. I was walking behind Mr Jones and then he stopped, turned around to face me and then stepped aside smiled at me and made a hand gesture to let me past. I smiled said thankyou and walked past him. As I walked past him he put his hand on my back and started talking to me. We were talking about life and he was joking about getting this massive door from the church to go in his house. Then we went to a castle and if you went to the top there was this beautiful view where you could see the entire city! Everyone split up and I lost my friends. I was walking around by myself trying to find the top. When I finally got to the top its like a terrace roof and there was a few tourists taking photographs of the view. It was sunset so was even more romantic! I looked around and saw Mr Jones sat down on the floor with his back against the wall. He was with a few other teachers and some male students but they were busy taking photographs of the view. So when I got to the top I looked at him, smiled and then walked over to the side )opposite side to where he was sat). He didn't smile back but he was looking at me and had his mouth slightly open, but not too noticable. I could feel him looking at me and I was kinda watching him out of the corner of my eye. Another teacher came over to talk to him, saw him staring at something and then followed his eyes so she was looking at me also. We were sat down on some steps whilst another teacher was telling us some history about the area. When I stood up I brushed the back of my skirt as I felt like there was dust on my bum or something. I turned around and caught him staring at my legs/bum/skirt. He looked away. Ive caught him a few times looking at my body. Im an ex swimmer so am in pretty good shape. I often get compliments on my boobs and my small waist. Another time he was talking to me and I had my arms folded across my chest. He was like "Why are you hugging yourself? Haha I'm here if you want a hug so bad" (or something like that, can't remember the exact words) so then he hugged me. It only lasted a few seconds though. You know those seller guys? The annoying ones who follow you around, trying to sell you stuff and wont go away? Well there was loads of those! They were only targetting the better looking girls though. They seemed to like me and there was like 3 other girls who they were ALWAYS coming up to. Then there was some girls who didn't get bothered once! They were trying to give me roses but I lied and told them I had no money so then they were like "So you kiss me and then you can have rose for free" (see, thats why they were only asking the 'prettier' girls! Haha) and then Mr Jones came over and was like really protective and made them go away. He didn't do this for the other girls. Also when guys from school were talking to me, he was watching like a hawk! So we're back from Italy now. I havent seen him much since though we might be getting him soon as our teacher is leaving our class! When I have seen him, he's just smiled and I smiled back. But last time I saw him I was walking down a quiet corridor and we were coming through the door at the same time. He was coming towards me. As I got close to him he put his arm out against the door frame blocking my path. I almost walked into him arm. He bent down asif he was going to say something then I heard another teacher come out of his class room. He said nothing and continued to walk to his own classroom. I have recently purchased 2 "green broke" morgans (which means to me: barely touched) from a breeder doing a fast cheap herd dispersal. I bought the last 2 of his 30-40 head of barely touched morgans. My take was either I have his favorites, or the last two that no one would buy. I have quite a bit of experience with horses and thought we could hack this either way and do have a great trainer who comes out to help weekly. They are nice horses, but here's my issue: we have some aggression from the morgan gelding when I personally separate him from his morgan mare. He goes after me (not the trainer though) for trying to take her out of the paddock or any enclosure. I have to use a stick/lunge always when out in the paddock to get her. He bangs gates and doors to get to her or "rescue" her and yesterday ran 2 horses into me and into a wall while I was holding another horse to take out a gate. I quickly dispersed him with the stick, I was not hurt, but not without some mad rear-end action from him that was closer than I ever should/would allow. Then he rallied his efforts with a mad gallop around the paddock and bee-lined at me with speed and energy. I continued to stand up to him successfully, but he did not stop his tries! We have limited space (5 acres) divided into one large pasture and 2 smaller paddocks. I have been pushing my hubby for just one more division in our dry lot and a mid-line pasture division so we can separate or rotate them. Otherwise I was thinking he should go to another farm for awhile. I'm getting blood work and physical check for more info. He may have been gelded late or wrong. As a yearling he had a catastrophic injury to his back leg from barbed wire that has since healed but he does dislike touch to the injury site even though he trusts me now with it. He was low man at the previous owner's place and came here pretty thin. He's fat and in 2nd position behind his mare as her "enforcer" now and he takes that role very seriously. I know I need to work on my relationship with him and become his leader more, but when I work with him he's really good, gentle and joined up with me! Do some horses just get jealous of not being the one worked with too, or is he feeling both protective fear and some jealousy? I do not have much experience with this level of aggression, though and am getting worried. Any suggestions? moreOpen Question: Isn't it kind of stupid that Snape decides to protect the son of a woman that treated him like dirt?
This is inspired by the question below. Which got me thinking. Only the kindest, most forgiving and angelic person would want anything to do with the son of a woman who jilted him, and the guy she jilted him for. If some guy left me, then met another girl, i would dislike him pretty strongly. And I would dislike their kids even more. Mostly, I would just want to ignore them. If Snape was such an unusually kind and forgiving person, why was he a deatheater (or whatever) in the first place? He didn't seem like such a complete altruist at all. Thats just plain stupid and out of character. Come to think of it, why couldn't deatheaters(or whatever) make those patronus charms, when all you had to do was come up with a happy thought? They seemed like they loved their families just the same. Are you going to tell me, Draco's mom wasn't happy when she first held her baby in her arms? Obviously she was very maternal. Thats like saying that Democrats don't have real happy feelings. Deatheaters were seperatists. It happened that their leader, Voldemort, was unstable and mean, but the idea wasn't awful. I would think they had a good point trying to take the war to us humans before we decided to kill them all off with superior armament and sheer numbers. It makes total sense to exclude wizards/witches with human family members from knowing they existed at all. Every time a half human/half wizard would go to some wizard school, a whole family learns of their existence. Thats not very safe for them, is it? And what advantage is it for the average wizard for there to be more students at that school? None. Badly thought out story. But I suppose when you write for little kids, and adults who like little kid things, maybe you don't really need such a perfect plot. moreOpen Question: kfc franchise cost in india?

I'd try to answer thier question but it very hard, please help me :(( Thanks thanks alot alot alot..... 1 Why is this new agreement ‘dynamite’ as far as business leaders are concerned? 2 What do you understand by the expression ‘two tier’ workforce? 3 How does this agreement challenge the ‘two tier’ workforce? 4 Why will this agreement mean that the private sector firms bidding for public sector contracts will now have to compete on quality rather than cost? ________________________________________ In February 2003, the government announced a code of practice to ensure that new workers contracted to private sector firms to undertake public sector work would be offered terms and conditions ‘no less favourable’ than their colleagues who had been transferred between the two sectors. This has led to protests from the private sector operators regarding the viability of public private partnerships as competition on the basis of cost will be restricted. This rather surprising move by the government has been reported in the Financial Times. Yesterday’s accord on the ‘two-tier’ workforce in local government may sound like ‘legalese’, but as far as business leaders are concerned, it is dynamite. The unions have clinched a code of practice that covers all workers taken on by companies in England that sign new contracts to provide public services for local authorities. They are to enjoy ‘fair and reasonable’ terms and conditions ‘which are, overall, no less favourable’ than those of their colleagues who were working for the public sector and were simply transferred. But until the last minute, the business community had been confidently expecting the considerably vaguer and woollier ‘broadly comparable’ formula. Under the more watertight deal, employers are allowed to vary the elements within the package but it must be just as good overall. In practice it means that many low-paid workers covered by the new code are likely to enjoy a significant pay increase. The national minimum wage is £4.20 an hour, but from April local authority workers will enjoy a minimum wage of £5.33, following last year’s ground-breaking deal, which boosted the earnings of the poorly paid. Employers could pay them less than this, but they would have to offer another benefit as part of the overall package. Employers’ other main gripe is against the enforcement provisions. This is no mere voluntary code of practice, as the Confederation of British Industry wanted, with unions having to wait until the Audit Commission forced a footdragging employer into providing better conditions. All new contracts will have to be compatible with the code, and if employers are accused of breaches the ultimate recourse will be to an independent arbitrator. The unions have also won ground on the pensions issue. Pensions are excluded from the overall package of terms and conditions, but joiners under new contracts will have to be offered membership of either the local government pension scheme – an employer pension scheme with matching employer contributions of at least 6 per cent – or a similar stakeholder scheme. This move, the first time private-sector companies have been under a statutory obligation to contribute to a pension, will be particularly welcome since it bucks the trend towards decreasing corporate pension provision, as stock markets decline and pension obligations become more onerous. Business leaders object to the code on the grounds that giving private sector workers the same pay and conditions fossilises working practices and artificially bids up wage costs in places where labour is plentiful. A reference to terms and conditions that ‘take into account the need to recruit and retain quality employees, and conditions in local labour markets’, which featured in last year’s draft code, has been removed. They regard the agreement as an unwarranted intrusion by government into their affairs. Union leaders claim that the objections by business expose the fact that exploiting workers has been the main route by which companies have made money out of their private-sector adventures. The government claims that the ‘no less favourable formula’ allows enough flexibility to transform practices if desired. In practical terms, the code will take a while to have much effect on costs, but has the potential to transform pay throughout the hybrid public-private world. It applies only to public-private partnerships put out for tender after the final details of the code are settled next month. That means that few workers will gain for perhaps nine months after that. moreOpen Question: Can ANYBODY relate to this, and how did it turn out?!!!? :'(?
Alright. So my boyfriend of 5 months (best friend of 2 years prior to dating, and friend for 6 years prior to dating) is a very godly man, and I'm a strong Christian too. We had a very God-honoring relationship...never did anything wrong at all. Everything seemed so perfect with us...we have SO many interests in common! He wants to be a youth pastor and I want to be a worship leader. We knew if we were to eventually get married some day that we'd be broke (haha) but that we would be happy serving the Lord together in ministry. Everything was going so wonderfully and all of the sudden, one day it was hard to reach him. He texted back later saying a list of things he'd been doing that day that kept him busy and then said that he needed to pray because he thought God was trying to tell him something. So I said..."what do you mean? tell you what?" and he said that he didn't want to say that until he was absolutely sure. So by the next day, I had pretty much assumed that he meant that he was being told to break up with me by God. I asked him that night to please tell me and he did. Here is his story: "Well you know I've been praying for a LONG time that God would let me marry you since we are so invested in each other already and love each other so much. And then a little less than a week ago, I got this strange feeling that I'm not the one for you. So I prayed about it and asked God to reveal it to me in a dream, and that night I had a dream that I was at your wedding...YOURS....not mine. And you were getting married to another man. I had the same dream three nights in a row, and then I prayed that if God was really telling me what I thought he was telling me (that I should end the relationship), that he would make the dreams stop. That night, I had no dream. I'm almost certain that God is telling me that I'm not the one for you and I think we need to just be good friends until I hear something different." So we broke up...it's been 5 days and I'm REALLY REALLY hurt. I don't understand why God would tell me too!! Furthermore, not only did God not tell me, but there's another piece of the story. I was saving my first kiss for the man that I knew I would marry. I don't believe kissing is wrong or that waiting or not waiting to kiss is better than the other. I simply made the decision to save it for the man I would marry as a way to honor God...a personal boundary and covenant between the Lord and myself. Then my recent boyfriend came along and he went on vacation to Florida with my family for two weeks. It was awesome. One night we were walking/talking on the beach and I can honestly say that I had NEVERRRR before had such a STRONG desire to kiss someone before - no guy that I had ever liked or dated...no one. Not even close! But I wanted to kiss him really badly and we were talking. I told him what I was feeling, and I explained my whole thing about my kiss to him and he said "I don't wanna pressure you, but if you decide to then I won't stop you either." So we stood there....I was kind of worried because I had been waiting and holding out so long...this was between God and I, ya know? ....and I was looking towards the starry sky thinking, "is this ok? Is this it?" I told my boyfriend that if I was going to kiss him, that he had to be the one. He replied, "I love you and most certainly plan on doing everything I possibly can to make that happen." And I looked again towards the sky...towards where I imagine God to be, and I thought about...meditated on the thought for like...10 minutes. And after much thought, I just felt SO compelled and just...such ASSURANCE...and I kissed him then and there. I knew he would be the one. ..........Now I'm just so confused and hurt. I can't stop crying. God knew that my kiss was my way on honoring him with my body, and he knew I was saving it for the man I would marry. Why would he give me such peace and desire to kiss this godly man and then months later tell HIM that he needs to end the relationship. I 100% do not think my ex is lying, but this makes NO sense and I'm REALLY hurt by it. I know that God's plans are better than ours and I know that "God will give me the perfect person for me" but I honestly......I don't want ANYONE else....I don't want him to move on and I don't want to move on. I gave him my kiss. ....He HAS to be the one?! I don't understand why God would do this! Has anyone ever gone through anything similar? How did you deal with it? Did you ever get the person back?I thought about the fact that he could have caused the dreams himself, but I mean...he had it three nights in a row...and then when he prayed he WOULDN'T have it if God really was trying to say what he thought He was trying to say, He had no dream at all. I just don't know....three nights in a row...the exact same dream. That's gotta be God, right? :'C ...I'm just so confused. Also...to those of you who say that God isn't real, you're def. not gonna change my opinion. I know God is real. No one else could create a man as wonderful as the one that I had...and I've believed long before I met him. moreOpen Question: Realistic college options?

http://www.sgn.org/sgnnews40_07/page11.cfm If Romney can sign his name, he's good enough, Grover Norquist says At the CPAC convention last week, anti-tax guru Grover Norquist made the case for the Republican right wing to accept Mitt Romney as the party's nominee. He can sign his name and he will follow orders, Norquist said, so he's good enough. 'Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States,' Norquist told CPAC attendees. 'This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared.' The Republican leaders in Congress are now far more important then the president, Norquist added, and all they need is a compliant president to sign their legislation. 'All we have to do is replace Obama,' Norquist said. 'We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don't need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget.' 'We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don't need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate.' Norquist is president of Americans for Tax Reform and the author of the so-called Taxpayer Protection Pledge. The pledge requires politicians who sign it to 'oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses; and to oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates.' Norquist is widely suspected of using his no-tax pledge to try to strangle federal social programs. 'I'm not in favor of abolishing the government,' he once said.
