Okay, so about 2 months ago my girlfriend got me an iPhone 4s contract phone out for 24 months on Vodafone. My girlfriend has the same phone but on Orange. My sister has an orange one and her boyfriend has a vodaphone one aswell. They all get good Internet and always get 3G in my house. I don't ever get 3G in my house only EDGE. But even with EDGE my Internet would only be able to load a google search page during the day in about 3 minutes and at night it was still EDGE but quicker. I phoned vodaphone and they sent me a new sim card. I'm still having the same problem as the new sim card done nothing. I phoned vodaphone again and they said my Internet settings was not updated so she talked me through the method of renewing my Internet settings and then done a hard reset of my phone, upon turning the phone back on it found 3G but only displayed it for 2 minutes but during them 2 minutes whilst it said 3G I could not load any internet required app (poker/mafia wars/draw something) so I was puzzled. After the so called update, I found my EDGE started working a fraction better during the day but really sluggish at night, it's like they swapped my Internet from off peak to peak, but regardless to that my Internet is still not strong enough to load any apps that require an Internet connection. There's even an update that has come through for 5.1.1 but I cannot install it due to lack of Internet. It's not a signal problem as I have another person in my household who also has an iPhone 4s on the same network and theirs work fine. It's this phone... Does anyone know any fixes for the 3G or should I try and find a pub offering free wifi and try and update my phone via wifi to 5.1.1 Appreciated of your time in reading this question, all answers are welcome as i will try anything... Ok, let me get this straight... A feiend was watching a movie on my laptop. He was setting the volume to like 63 and i told him tl reduce the volume even though he had a headphone on. I went to the bathroom to take a bath and by the time i got back, he has finished watching the movie and the pc was shut downed. He left. But then when i turned on the pc it would make loud noises(like whistles) and when i click on the login button it would hang... And i had to restart. I tried connecting a headphone and then everything went fine. But then i noticed then when i would turn on the pc, it wou.d slow down after a few mins. When i click on exit or my computer, etc. It would say the app is not responding.. Blah blah ... But it would work again if i left it the way it was for a few mins.. I got really frustated and i decided to do a complete restore, the restore took at least 10 to 12 hours(is it normal ?). Everything went fine after the restore, but then i thought of upgrading my home basic win 7 to ultimate. The upgrading went fine and i was happy with it but a few mins later the same problem of slowing down happened, is it due to the upgrade i wonder, so i did a system restore once again and decided to stick to home basic. But then something terrible happened during the restore. The restore was halfway during the formating your partition part and the lights went out. I had a low battery and eventually the pc shut down after a few mins. When the power came, i switched on the pc and now this error occurs.. The boot config data file does not contain a valid os entry.. I tried using command promts using the recovery disc i created earlier to rebuild the bcd but didn't work. But then i was shocked when i saw no operating system found. Unknown os on unknown local disc. I checked if my partition was missing by using the select drive on the system restore option and i saw e: Os 84.6 gb 84 gb free, and the c: recovery 14 gb 5 gb free? The os was previously installed in c now how did it changed to e: The c drive was almost empty with only the user data files and programs folders etc, i assume that the os partition was formatted and the pc ran put of battery before the restore was complete so im stuck here. I can still run programs such as format factory, etc. So my question is this can i recover the files from the formatted partition where the os was ?? Any free programs that can help me ?? more

When he gave it to me, pretty much the same games and applications were available to download in Market. After a few months, I had to uninstall a few applications and games for memory, thinking that when memory was available again, I could re-install them from Market. When I went to Market again, the applications and games that I used to be able to download disappeared. I didn't change any view (free, with payment). I kept it at "all". From a very long list of games and apps, I was left with less than ten. What happened and what can I do to fix it? more

Open Question: NETGEAR WNR2000v3 Lease Expires in 24 hours!?

My internet provider installed the NETGEAR WNR2000v3 wireless router about a month or so ago, when I first got internet. It works fine, except with a small, but very annoying issue: the lease expires around every 24 hours, and then my laptop loses internet connection and the signal doesn't seem to get picked up by my laptop anymore (Windows' wireless network list in the tray doesn't show my network). So I have to get up and out of my chair, walk all the way across the room, turn off the wifi signal on my router, turn it back on, come back to my chair, and then refresh my list of available networks, and then finally it connects again. This use to not be so bad, but I often find myself in the middle of an online game or job application or just plain surfing and I randomly lose my connection, and it's really getting on my nerves. I've looked through the http://routerlogin.net router firmware app thingy and there's no option to change how long my leases are. I only have an option to renew it, and then it only renews it up to 24 hours. I also have a wireless printer that's always on, and it's never disconnected from my router (I've left it several days without resetting my router signal and it works fine). I don't know why the router lets it stay on, but I imagine there's some way I can get my computer to act the same way as my printer, right? Anybody? more

Hi, i am wanting to try and help my mum and dad with their business. My dad is an electrician and he does jobs every day. My mum helps my dad by booking in jobs that my dad will then go on as soon as he can. However, at the moment, my mum does this the old fashioned way. A customer will ring up and ask for an appointment and my mum will write this down in my dads planner. But they both have iPads. My dad uses his to buy parts such as cable and tools and my mum uses hers to look at hand bags and clothes lol! But if i could find a way how to put the iPads to good use by buying/installing an application which will allow my mum to transfer job details to my dads iPad. So my mum doesn't have to write it down whilst she is out or driving. She can quickly type it up and send to my dad. I was hoping there is a way in which this can work. So is there an App where my mum can send jobs and information to my dads iPad to make life easier. Does anybody have any ideas?!! more

I am new to phone rooting. And i have just rooted my droidinc2.... Then downloaded a launcher called sslauncher.. after trying to custumize it, i downloaded another launcher call gingerbread... Well everything was just fine untill i decided to unistall both launchers . .. well it took me back to the regular htc home screen.. and i tried to open up the youtube app and it said something like this is no longer linked to the device..wtf??.. for some reason i dragged the youtube app and deleted it!!.. now i cant find it!!. Its not even on the app list!!.. wtf went wrong?? And went i try to download it again from the market, it wont let me it just says installed but cant open it... Any help.??? Update.... I recently purchased the mobile version of FL Studio for my iPod Touch 4th Gen (FL Studio Mobile). I used to have an IAP Cracker (free in-app purchases that I used to get extra Tower Bux in the freemium game Tiny Tower), and I attempted to use it on FL Studio for a Bass Synth package. Unfortunately, the IAP Cracker was not compatible with FL Studio, so the button that usually said "$3.99" for the Bass Synth package became a "Download" button after I attempted to download/purchase it. If the download button was clicked, it was like a restore purchases button, but it would tell me that there were no purchases to restore on my account. I realize that the IAP Cracker could have caused this. I removed the IAP Cracker and re-installed FL Studio, but I am unable to purchase the Bass Synth package because the price button still says "download" instead of "$3.99". I have $10+ on my iTunes account. I am trying to purchase it LEGALLY. If I click on the download button, it asks me for my password, checks for purchases to restore, and tells me there are none. How can I purchase the Bass Synth package if my iPod won't let me? How can I get rid of that silly "download" button? more

I am not a noob at the iphone stuff, but I am having real issues with my app store on Iphone 4. Everything was fine, then today, i noticed my app wouldnt download from the app store on my iphone. it just kept waiting. Okay here it goes, I was on Cydia yesterday and I was searching for some nice theme to download, I found an app called iLock and the screen shots persuaded me to download it do I did. After it was done installing, it said that I had to respring my iPhone (Like most apps do) and I did. After that, every time I try opening my iPhone or sliding it to unlock it immediately resprings by itself. I can't even get past the lock screen before it resprings and it wouldn't stop since yesterday. I tried rebooting the device, I tried DFU mode and everything else up my sleeve but it didn't work. Also, I can't restore and update because I have a non factory unlocked phone so I use a turbosim and it doesn't allow me to restore. Any ideas? more

When I text via voice (from the home screen, not from the actual pre-installed message app.) do I say it like this? I.e. "Send text to (Contact Name), I'll pick up pizza." I've tried this way, but the message always winds up having everything I said - even the "Send text to..." part - and placing it into the actual message, rather than the recipent's name being in the To: section. Also, is there a specific app in the (Android) market that will actually go through my music and play requested songs already downloaded to my phone? I think it was stated that all you have to do is say, "Listen to (Song, Artist)" - kinda like in that one commercial for the Iphone 4s, only when I do it, it says I need an app to do that. more
