Also one last question , is it possible to install 1 or 2 steam games on my ssd and install the others that i don't play as much on the hard drive. I've been having blue screens at random intervals ever since I got this new computer, and could never figure out what was causing them. I stopped caring once I found out that leaving my computer on overnight prevented blue screens from occurring until I turned it off, and then they would start happening again. Hi, I'm very tired of trying connect to my database from another computer. I've 4 computers in my room. Everything was working fine. Recently, I've installed Windows 7 in where I've installed xampp. I've installed xampp 1.7.7 which version I was using. If I config out my php script database, its working fine in local PC. i installed xampp and then tried to run a php file but it doesn't work. i started up apache, tomcat, mysql, filezilla, and mercury but none of them seem to work. Before I speak, know that I am a 15 year old, and I have a basic understanding on computing, but not enough to fix things for myself. A week or so ago, my computer just stopped working. I was on the internet, and it just began lagging like crazy, so I decided to restart (not forced) and since I have not been able to launch Windows 7. I could run Ubuntu fine for a day or so after this, but now I am getting a 'grub' command prompt. Starting normally now takes around 30 minutes and is still laggy, while safe mode takes a long time loading something called 'aswevrt.sys'. I had something like this with AVG before uninstalling it, but with avgidsha.sys. I installed Avast instead as I believed AVG was the root of the problem but clearly not. Help? I have two indoor/outdoor cats, they're only outside when they're either A) in their cat run we made them or B) on their tie outs (like a dogs) , They can only be in the back yard as they get tangled if near the porch, They keep climbing the trees though. I've tried putting stuff around the bottom (tin foil) BUT this also stops the squirrels, and that isn't what I want, I want the squirrels to be able to go up into their trees to their nests So I was looking for alternative ways to deter the cats from the trees that will NOT stop the Squirrels from getting up the trees. It was very sad seeing one of our resident semi tame squirrels freaking out because he/she couldn't get back up to its home! Also do not tell me not to let them outside, that cats are "indoor only" pets - this is untrue, they need to be outside to be healthy, they need the Vitamin D from the sun(can't get that through windows)they need fresh air, and the exercise. They are not out running free they're either in their cat pen (similar to a dog kennel) or on their tie outs but I don't want to make them stay in the cat pen the entire time either, they like "roaming" the yard, plus they meow up a storm until we let them out they love being outside! And should be allowed out when weather permits. I just want to know how to keep the cats out of the trees but the squirrels can still get in them Also do not even suggest that I get my cats de-clawed I see that as Abuse! I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this but there is one of those ads that has placed itself right above where my emails load in my yahoo inbox. It is one of those things where it tells you that you can test your computer speed, etc. by clicking on a download. I tried to just close it by clicking the X in the right upper hand corner of the ad but it immediately tries to download itself anyway. No matter what I do, it will not go away.... If anyone has this in their inbox or knows what I am talking about, please help me get rid of this. Hi! I installed Windows 7 and the latest Realtek drivers for my ALC269. When I connect my headphones (HD439), there's way too much bass. So right now I have a basic theme, "twentyeleven" installed on my wordpress, I would like to delete the entire content of the theme and make it just a image with the image mapping html code, so which file do I paste the code in so there is nothing showing of the theme except my large image as my entire website? Lately I've been studying the c++ language in an effort to be just a bit ahead once I begin classes at my university next fall to earn a computer sciences degree. It's interesting and all, but I got around to asking myself what is it even for? Console applications alone I have NEVER downloaded as a game or anything and I feel they are a thing of the past, yet why is it that is all I have been taught to create? Sure it's cool to have a calculator that I "made," but what is the point in using one that I have to run every time and input which function I'd like to perform when I can easily just double click the standard calculator application that comes pre-installed in most systems? Even my iPhone can use much, much better applications than any c++ application I can currently create. Is it even possible to create colorful, functional applications with GUI's and what not that are programs I can distribute and use more often than a console app? What are some real-life examples of c++ applications? Games, word document programs, or what? I heard that Microsoft word Was created in c++, but how does a console app become a program that can save and allow users to interact with text documents that is not based in a cmd window? A friend of mine told me that when purchasing a new computer it is also important to pay attention to the power supply in the computer. In particular to make sure it is enough to run your video card. One thing I have noticed however when looking through Dell computers and other brand name computers they have lower wattage power supplies then recommended for those types of cards. For example I was looking at an alienware computer that has a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 1.5gb memory in it. When looking at the power supply it is only 330 watts. However when you search individual cards they all recommend between 450 watts to 600 watts. So I was wondering how is this possible? Hey guys. Just today i went to turn on my computer and it loads up to the point where it says Start Normally, Safe Mode, Safe mode with Networking. And then i press start normally and then it says starting windows. Then the monitor goes black. Where you are suppose to Log IN it does not show anything the screen is black.
