Open Question: Is this the best Pokemon team or what?

Observe the strategy of this Pokemon team. Please leave comments if you like it or have any suggestions/ideas to add. Thanks Starting Pokemon: Delcatty Delcatty@Focus Band Baton Pass Sing Attract Double Team Ninjask@Focus Band Protect Endure Baton Pass Swords Dance Mr. Mime@Macho Brace Hypnosis Baton Pass Barrier Encore Mawile@Macho Brace Baton Pass Iron Defense Swords Dance Double Team Gorebyss@Focus Band Baton Pass Amnesia Barrier Double Team Blissey@Leftovers Softboiled Toxic Earthquake/Flamethrower/Psychic/Minimize/Sing Earthquake/Flamethrower/Psychic/Minimize/Sing Start off with Delcatty and use Sing to put your opponent to sleep. Next turn, if it is opposite gender, use Attract. Now start using Double Team to max out evasiveness, then use Baton Pass to switch to Ninjask. While the pokemon is still asleep, use Swords Dance to raise attack. Once it is awake, alternate between using Endure and Protect to keep the Ninjask alive while still raising Speed from the Speed Boost Ability. Once Speed is maxed, Baton Pass to Mr. Mime and use Hypnosis. If the last move the opponent used was one that would not do much harm to Mr. Mime, use Encore. Then start using Barrier to raise Defense. Once again use Baton Pass to switch to either Mawile or Gorebyss and repeat the process of maximizing all stats. Finally, use Baton Pass to switch to Blissey. Now dominate with the ultimate, maxed-stats, impossible-to-kill Blissey. Softboiled and Toxic are necessities and the last two moves are fillers. Be careful of having Earthquake because you will be screwed if they have a Skarmory which is unaffected by both Poison and Ground types.@DarkRay Yes, the probability of hitting with Sing is considerably low. Additionally, Delcatty is not the strongest of Pokemon. However, Delcatty is not a necessity to the party (sorry SkittyCrazy) though it can be extremely useful. The main purpose of Delcatty is to boost evasiveness for the Ninjask to do its magic. Also, the Focus Band attached to Delcatty has a chance to prevent fainting, giving you one last shot to use Baton Pass. Thanks for pointing out that crucial element, though.@Dash I do have a backup plan...Blissey kicks butt even without max stats. It's just invincible when it does have them. more

Open Question: Pokemon Movesets for FireRed/Emerald?

Hey, I'm working on my "dream team" and I just need a little help with the movesets for my six pokemon. I'm working with Fire Red and Emerald so please don'g give me any Diamond/Pearl moves or moves from some other Pokemon game. Thanks in advance. This is what I've got so far...please feel free to edit this or add new ideas Tyranitar: @Shell Bell Aerial Ace (TM) Earthquake Outrage (egg) Crunch Salamence: @Leftovers Hydro Pump (egg) Dragon Breath Flamethrower (TM) Earthquake (TM) Metagross: @King's Rock Psychic Meteor Mash Thunderpunch (tutor) Earthquake (TM) Gengar: @Shell Bell Thunder Hypnosis Dream Eater Giga Drain (TM)/Nightmare/Explosion (egg) Blissey: @Leftovers Softboiled Sing Minimize Dream Eater (tutor) Arcanine: @King's Rock/Focus Band Toxic (TM) Dig (TM) Heat Wave (egg)/Flamethrower (TM) Crunch (egg) Also, I may replace Blissey with Heracross with this moveset: Heracross @Focus Band Endure Reversal Swords Dance MegahornFor the Heracross, the strategy is to use Swords Dance until attack is maxed or until it is about to faint. Once it is one turn away from fainting, use Endure to keep it alive (the Focus Band is there in case of super effective or critical hits). Next turn, use Reversal to deal maximum damage. more

Resolved Question: Pokemon Wifi team :3?

Hiya!!! i have been thinking of a pokemon wifi team, i wanted to include pokemon from the uu tier as a bit of a surprise from the usual ou tier pokemon included. As an objective, the idea for this team is to set up toxic spikes, spikes (if needed), and stealth rock, and basically do damage so that late game sweepers can have no problem cleaning up the opponents team. i know i have alot to learn, so please make suggestions, constructive criticism, rate, etc. Thank you~ Roserade @focus sash Evs: 4 hp/ 252 sp attk/ 252 speed nature: timid (+ spe, - attk) ~sleep powder ~spikes ~energy ball ~sludge bomb( for STAB) Plan: my first objective is to use sleep powder on the leads and lay down at least one layer of spikes. If my roserade is still standing ill attack hopefully getting a type advantage and maybe take down a pokemon, but the main objective is to inflict and set up. Donphan @leftovers Evs: 52 hp/ 252 attk/ 204 def nature: adamant ( + attk, - sp. attk) ~rapid spin ~earthquake ~assurance ~ stealth rock Plan: if the opponents pokemon have set up any stealth rocks, spikes, etc. ill use rapid spin, then set up stealth rock. assurance is there for ghost and psychic types, and the reason why i didnt put any speed evs into this guy, it's to double assurance's power if donphan is hit first. Earthquake is a STAB move so its there for sweeping if possible. Drapion @scope lens evs: 252 attk/ 4 def/ 252 speed sniper ability nature: jolly (+spe, - sp. attk) ~ice fang ~night slash/ knock off ~toxic spikes ~earthquake plan: is to set up toxic spikes and go from there. ice fang is for earthquakers who want to take drapion down. suicune @leftovers evs: 252 hp/ 252 def/ 4 speed nature:bold (+def, - attk) ~surf ~calm mind ~rest ~sleep talk plan: the idea is to calm mind until it cant no more, then use rest to get rid of damage taken and conditions inflicted, and use sleep talk, hopefully selecting surf to sweep. by using this set, i am hoping to switch in on pokemon using hypnosis (especially bronzong) or sleep powder, so i can take advantage of it and use sleep talk. ill have the option of using rest anytime to heal suicune, making this guy hard to take down. Rotom-S @ choice specs evs: 4 hp/ 252 sp. attk/ 252 speed nature: timid (+spe, - attk) ~discharge ~shadow ball ~air slash ~hp ice Plan: my plan is to sweep hopefully what's left of the opponents team or at least leave a huge enough dent for metagross to come in and finish the job. another job for this little guy is to switch in on expected explosions (especially bronzong) and come out unscath. discharge and shadow ball are for STAB, and maybe if im lucky ill inflict a paralysis from discharge here or there. the same goes for air slash when needed. Metagross @life orb evs: 112 hp/ 252 attk/ 12 def/ 132 speed nature: adamant (+ attk, - sp. attk) ~meteor mash ~earthquake ~agility ~ice punch Plan: ok, after having the opponents team being battered by status conditions and other damage, ill use metagross to come in and sweep whats left, hopefully. ill use agility and then sweep from there, ice punch is for the earthquakers and dragons threatening it. with much said, that is my team in depth. please make any suggestions or comments, ideas, etc. anything is welcome! thank you~oops....on drapion its fire fang instead of ice fang...since i have no other fire type moves.... more

Voting Question: Why do coincidences happen so frequently with me?

You know i have a belief psychic vampires control my life, like right since I gained control of my senses. It's so difficult to explain to others but I have repeatedly noticed a "pattern" in my life, every decision I had to make, every situation that came my way there seemed to be some hidden force behind it, constantly WARNING me about what to do and what not to do. It's like these forces almost prevent me from undertaking the forbidden journey, even though I try to experiment and defy their wishes. The most visible component of these forces association with my being is in the manner coincidences occur. Here are the ways they may manifest, and they happen so frequently, on a daily basis, I don't think you can call them just coincidences. Don't think they're absurd reasons when they happen at all. 1. If there's a last movie ticket (or two) left, I'm sure to find my name on it. 2. If there's a person I'm thinking about, I'm sure to find him/her in my company next time I step out. 3. I can see future events -they manifest out of my deep-rooted desires. It could be anything from a place I just think about traveling to some financial and romance related stuff. I've even began attracting people I merely thought about. In some way or the other, they fit into the "pattern" in my life. And, in significant ways mind you. 4. In work at my job, I get much better results by following my gut instinct rather than a logical process. 5. I like to travel a lot. The restaurants I patronize tend to be the best in town. And no, I never read about them. I just accidentally land there. 6. I often get the cheapest deals on most desirable purchases. If it's the only discount CD of my fav album in the whole rack store, I'm sure going to be the one to grab it. It's not that I'm complaining about this sense of discretion. It could be an asset but to me it also represents a huge burden of knowledge. I get recurring unpleasant dreams such as: 1. an old woman crying out aloud in the woods 2. Hundreds of people lying along rail tracks and a speeding train passing over them What these dreams do is set a pattern for me again. It's a gentle foreboding of unpleasant (or sometimes pleasant things) to follow very soon. And, I'm never wrong. A psychologist friend dismisses my thought pattern as something that happens due to "over-analyzing" events in life. I'm telling you it can't be that cut and dried. The moment I deny the existence of these psychic forces, I feel very empty inside. There's total inaction, unrest and a fury that comes from suppression. These forces prevent me from acknowledging anyone's dominance and turn me into some sort of mystic. They compel me to stick along a "pre-defined" path -i simply can't disobey them. Who are these forces? How do I communicate with them more openly? Is it somewhat connected to my past life? Should I try techniques such as Past life regression or self-hypnosis to reach them? Where's my eventual destiny -in the afterlife and beyond. more
