I hate myself because I cannot function at a level where I can meet my most basic responsibilities as a husband, father and citizen. I consistently underperform at work, resulting in endless job instability and completely inadequate wages for my modest lifestyle. I've mismanaged my money badly enough that I'm now over $40,000 in debt. I've tried, diet, exercise, meditation, counseling, self-help books, religion, even acupuncture and hypnosis...literally everything I can think of to either boost my performance to a minimal acceptable level or to at least make some peace with the fact that I'm an incompetent rube. Hoothoot makes it slightly easier for me to catch Pokemon. - Scyther... A "high-tier" pokemon who will transform into Scizor after trading it with a Metal Coat on hold... Why would I have a bug-type pokemon in my party? Because Psychics don't like it that's why! Back in the day, Psychic was considered to be overpowered. But, not so much anymore. And also, a lot people I know tend to use Psychic pokemon (especially things like Mewtwo, Slowking or Alakazam.) That's all... My request for this time is... I am easily hurt, offended, shy & embarrassed and I don't want to be like this anymore. I feel I could be so much more successful and enjoy life if I didn't have these negative feelings holding me down. But Also I believe this is a part of my true nature since I have gained a lot of understanding through astrology and I can't deny it's truth. Call it a pseudo science all you want and no- it cannot be measured and tested and is therefore not an empirical science but I've learned so much about it now that I can guess peoples signs before I know them/am able to verify them. So, I'm a Cancer rising and that is what is causing me these negative emotions. I also am sensitive caring and understanding so it's not entirely a bad thing but the other aspects of that sign, as I mentioned above, are a burden to me. I'm always cheaking the computer and his phone and such, the counceler once asked if I wanted to catch my hubsnad cheating-my asnswer was no, I want to be proved wrong-but I feel if I DON'T keep cheaking and on him then he will think he can and will again. I'm finally at the point where I don't care-and now we don't have a sexual relationship-sex just doesn't feel good (and honestly i don't think it would feel good with any other man either) but even with not careing i'm having dreams of him lieing and cheating again. he's not doing anymore and he even allowed me to put a block on our computer password protected so I will any and all web pages he goes to evev if he deletes. to be honest i feel and know he's not doing anything wrong but also afraid that he might 'slip up' just once and thats all it takes. how can I make myself forget oor get past this? councelers can't help me...they've all tried and ther's no hypnosis people in this area that I can see. Resolved Question: How to run away and stay covert?

I am 17 years old. I am on probation. I have a car with just a valid permit, not that that really matters cuz if i get pulled over im screwed. I have been adopted by the only one in my family that would be willing to, my grandmother, but lately shes been treating me like **** and the first thing she does when she comes through the door is tell me how worthless i am and always puts me down. i broke up with my gf and now nothing is holding me back. I got in trouble at home and i might be getting my probation violated and i have over 3 years of the Adult jail hanging over my head...actually, i WILL get violated. i am supposed to go to see my probation officer in a couple weeks. I have a lot of charges for sheer stupidity. I am very intelligent and ive been studying psychology and hypnosis for over 2 years. im extremely good with computers and im from a boring small town in rhode island. Ive been in group homes and other placements as well as training school for my charges already and honestly, id rather die than be locked up again. Im 5' 7' and im very muscular. I know marshal arts (hand to hand combat) and wrestling, as well as how to fist fight. im very manipulative and im a good thinker and when i want something, i do everything in my power to get it. my friend is moving away to florida with (i believe) his origional parents cuz hes adopted right now and i would like to go with or near him cuz weve been friends for a while. i dont think i would get caught because the police dont really keep tabs on him and its across state. I am thinking of taking one of my grammas credit cards and charging it for car down the street and maybe bringing someone(one person) with me. I wont use the credit card out of state because it will be traced and theyll know where i am. so ill get a ton of money off of it an d then get a job under the table when i get there. i have a car to sleep in and keep me warm. it works well. So id be able to keep a job long enough to make money to rent a house and eventually move on. my problem i see here is my identity and getting a licence? id use a fake name and wouldnt contact anyone from home. I think florida is good too cuz its warm. i need to know how to do this. i obviously will bring clothes in my car and find a place to shower. i have no problem stealing anything, but i wont be stupid and pull off a huge robbery. i read this artical on a website and i liked it, i have been doing self hypnosis on myself for a few weeks now and fell like taking it up a notch. The artical: Our bodies normally only use about a third of its capability. How flexible we are, the strength and flexibility of our bones, and the amount of muscle we use is rarely used to its full potential. But within us all we have the ability to use more muscle power that is greater than bench pressing world record holders. Of course you could severely hurt yourself by using all of your muscle power, but accelerating you can safely accelerate your normal abilities through hypnosis. I'm reading this book called Many lives Many masters.This Dr puts this women under hypnoses and she can remember her past lives and while under hypnoses the Dr claims that these entity(Ancient spirits)channel through her and tell him about life and the reason fo it.He claims they told him we all must learn certain things in life (So basically right now we are sort of in a school for the soul)And these things we learn bring us closer to a god like state.Once we learn everything then we pass on to a different realm.But until we do we are reincarnated.And if we don't learn the one lesson we were suppose to learn in that life we carry it on into the next.So basically we can accumulate lessons to be learned.So even though we all become equal.Each soul on earth is not equal because there are souls that have learned there lessons and haven't accumulated them and there are those who have.What do you think? more

Resolved Question: How to finally take control of my anxiety and live a better life?

Starting in second grade I would wake up every morning and feel sick to my stomach. My mom let me stay home. The next day the same thing happened, again, she let me stay home. The day after that, I woke up and I felt the same nauseous feeling, but during this period of time, I had not vomited or had any symptoms of the stomach flu or a cold, other than the nausea. So, I was sent off to school.. during the whole day, I just felt very sick and decided to go to the nurses office. Surprisingly enough, once I read a book or was distracted by something, my nausea went away. But the moment I went back to class, I felt sick again! This torture went on daily, and I soon developed a phobia of vomiting. I would always sit in the back of assemblies and stay out of sports in fear that I would vomit. It was terrible! My mom decided to take me to the doctor, and I was diagnosed with Hypoglycemia. (low blood sugar, in which if you don't eat enough, you feel sick and/or get headaches, etc) Now I am years and years older, I have been eating well, and my fear of vomiting persists. (I have not barfed since first grade) I am beginning to believe it is an anxeity issue, because whenever I start thinking about being sick, a wave of nausea comes over me and I freak out big-time. I would like to find a way to cure my anxiety and my phobia and learn to live a better life. Because, trust me, I would be in heaven if these two little pet peaves were gone. Resolved Question: OCD: I'm trying to keep a balance, but I need some ideas on dealing with this...?

I tend towards obsessive compulsive thinking, and I'm generally fine with that. It helps me to harmonize in music and arts, and I don't mind being a list-maker. And when I get totally obsessed with something new (like a video game, or a style of cooking, or clothing) I try not to worry, because I've learned I will get bored of it soon anyway. I know that my perception of reality (like anyone else's) is variable, and the OCD along with it. On bright, warm days my germ phobia is non-existant, and I've tried de-sensitization techniques and self-hypnosis to good effect. But I'm only willing to do anything about something if I can see that my reaction really is so over the top that it damages me more than the offending issue ever could. I've always been exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke to some degree. I've never liked it, but it's only been in the last few years that it has become a misery to me. This came after I did a few months of a detox & health program at home. Once I did that, I felt a lot better, the strongest and healthiest ever. But if I ate a food I'd excluded again, I would get strong reactions, and the same is true for exposure to smoke. I could immediately tell that my nose started to get irritated, then my throat, my eyes start tearing, head starts pounding, and I end up feeling really stressed and angry. But that's a social killer, even when there is a well-working smoking ban in place. And where I live now, the "smoking ban" is shoddy. Here's the thing: Smoke is a risk factor for a number of illnesses that stress also is one for. So how much good is my worry doing me, really? I want to be able to quantify how damaging second-hand smoke really is. "Bad" is not quantifying. And I realize that "2% of your life energy per hour of exposure, 1,5% can be recovered", is not really the answer either. What I mean is: - I grew up in the countryside, now I live in a big city. How does air pollution from cars, industry, etc compare? - How much is the damage from exposure to smoke balanced out by healthy diet & exercise (for example also extra Vit C) It seems I can't find any balanced information / opinion / advice on this, either it is "smoke won't harm you, it's all propaganda" or it's "smoke will kill you for sure, if not today, then tomorrow". Something will in the end kill us all. Anything out of moderation is potentially harmful. Smoke serves no purpose, it is always harmful, but how bad is it really in balance? It freaks me out to read on official health board sites that second-hand smoke is worse on people than smoking the cigarette itself! (?!!) That's some confusing advice to give.It used to be family, then it was at gigs and clubs and parties, and friends and relationships. Now I notice it a lot, blowing in from outside at work, seeping into my flat from the neighbours, etc. It's not in my head, my friends are not OCD and they notice it, too. But I don't smoke, and over here almost none of my friends smoke. I live in a big city, and the air pollution is relatively low. I don't know if that balances it out somehow? Writing / talking a lot is NOT a sign of OCD :D :D :D oh god, lol, that's so funny.... It's true, that more people would be dead if it was THAT toxic, but it's not just about immediate death. It's about lowered quality of life, crossover effects on immunity and allergies, chronic diseases etc....Doingthepanic, thanks that is pretty much my situation, I grew up in that, too, and later didn't really want to not go out just because the smoke was so thick at the best clubs. Good point about the "that's worse than smoking yourself" stuff being aimed at parents, I hadn't even though of that... I'm sorry you ended up with asthma and allergies as well. What do you do, stay away from places and parties where it's smokey? I mean how far do you feel OK taking it? I really feel like 2 minutes in a smokey place and I gotta walk, that's no good when my favourite band is on, and kids are smoking in the toilets (ban or no ban, who's gonna check at 11pm...)And it's one thing to stay away from parties and clubs, but another to get miserable in my home, because neighbours smoke is coming through somewhere that we haven't already sealed up (I'm getting so tired of this....), or indeed at work when half the office smokes, and when it's cold no one wants to open the windows, and people hover around the doors to smoke outside, so it just blows back into here. more

Resolved Question: Can I get used to "blood and guts"?

Hello! I hope to apply and get into Medical School next year to start my learning as a Doctor. Now Im pretty good with blood usually, in the sense that deep cuts and that wouldn't bother me at all. However, watching an open surgery does make me feel faint and queasy (even my Biology teacher disecting a sheeps heart made me have to sit down- although that was partly to do with its smell)... But strangely enough, this is the field Im interested in! And obviously, I need to be able to get over this even if I wasn't to become a surgeon. My grandad says that when he started work in the hospital he felt uneasy being in contact with things such as dead babies, but he quickly got used to it. Although, he could just be saying this to me as theres nothing he wants more than me becoming a Doctor! So I was just wondering, in time will I get used to it? Do Universities ask how I handle things like blood etc? Do they expect to have some people feeling uneasy about it, but know they will get used to it? My Chemistry teacher told me to consider hypnosis (yes, he's a bit like that =)). Are there any other techniques that could help? Resolved Question: Can we go over the Obama Economic Plan?

Now starting at the beginning where he states the problem, it is not the fault of the businesses of the US that people have gotten greedy. Each of the issues he has addresses need to be looked at Taken from Obama's Website.... and his plan to jumpstart the economy. "The Problem" "Wages are Stagnant as Prices Rise: While wages remain flat, the costs of basic necessities are increasing. The cost of in-state college tuition has grown 35 percent over the past five years. Health care costs have risen four times faster than wages over the past six years. And the personal savings rate is now the lowest it's been since the Great Depression." Wages remain flat and prices rise. This is true. But the reasons some of these prices are rising need to be looked at. Why is College costing more? Because there are many more people going to colleges. The colleges I have seen or have contacts at are all building new dorms and buildings to accommodate all the new students. Why have health care costs risen? Partly because of all the government regulations. The government wants to make sure everything is "safe" for you. This drives the price of everything up. Anyone who has not taken a class in Biochemistry, or at least Anatomy and Physiology should stay completely out of medical care. It is funny that many of the people who go to see someone about accupuncture or hypnosis is likely to vote someone who wants these people regulated and possibly put out of business. Why are people's personal savings down? Well in part it is because people have to go out and see $8.00 movies. People spend way more money on entertainment than they ever did before. Learn to entertain yourselves! "Tax Cuts for Wealthy Instead of Middle Class: The Bush tax cuts give those who earn over $1 million dollars a tax cut nearly 160 times greater than that received by middle-income Americans. At the same time, this administration has refused to tackle health care, education and housing in a manner that benefits the middle class." I will agree that tax cuts for the wealthy are probably not exactly the way to go. Tax cuts should be for innovators. People who are willing to learn and try new things. In many cases these innovators are people who become wealthy and supposedly this is why they get the tax cuts, but a lot of rich people inherited their wealth and that should not qualify you for a tax cut. If you recently started a business that is substantially different from other businesses... you are an innovator. Then you should get a tax cut. Again... I think government needs to keep out of health care. A Universal Health care system and more government regulation is likely to force many US pharmaceutical companies to other countries. Why stay here when they can make more money elsewhere? I'm actually surprised more companies didn't leave when Bush restricted funding for Stem Cell research. Reversing that decision is one of the smartest things Obama will do. Again education is over regulated. Look at the things people have to learn in school compared to the things people should learn. Some of the things they are forced to learn are flat out lies. For example... the united states is NOT A DEMOCRACY! It is a republic. But if a child puts that on an exam he or she is wrong. The only way to fix education is to make the parents partly responsible. They may not teach the children, but they have to make sure the children do their work. The housing market is one of the areas I don't think I agree with him. Nobody needs to have their own house. I don't care if you live with mommy and daddy till they die. Otherwise live in the streets. Before the democrats loosened restrictions on how federal money is given to banks for low income loans this didn't happen. Yes in this case the banks got greedy and it is their fault. Personally I am not a democrat or a republican... I would have welcomed a complete crash and let the banks go out of business. That's what would happen if I invested my money foolishly. So both of the major parties are at fault for this one, and I don't think Obama is going to provide housing by restricting money. This is stupid. If you can't afford a house you shouldn't have one. Resolved Question: Why do I feel stuck or that I am not doing anything with my life?

I have felt like this for awhile now. I feel that I am stuck in my current situation and that I am never going to get out of it. When I start to feel this way I change things in my life. For instance, In the past 6 months to a year I have: Gone to a psychiatrist. Taken singing lessons, gone back to college, gone to Cancun and changed jobs. Recently I have been playing with the idea of moving out on my own and learn how to play the guitar. I am also planning a trip to Barcelona next year. As you can see I am doing a lot of things. And even though I have done all of this I still feel that I am no where with my life. I feel stuck somehow and that I am never going to get anywhere.And I get very frustrated. I want to jump off a cliff sometimes. Why do I feel this way? Is it because I have to deal with all the emotional stuff I have been hiding for a long time? If so how do I deal with it? I have already been to two head doctors and a hypnosis. What else should I do? I am at my wits end here. more

Resolved Question: I spoke my native language (Korean) until I was 7-8 yrs. old, but none now. Would hypnosis help to relearn it?

I was adopted when I was 7 yrs. old from Korea and lost that language within 3 months. I can't speak the language, but I am able to tell stories and I do remember conversations that I held with my Korean family as a child. The conversations that I remember are not in my native language so somehow I am able to convert everything that was said into English. Anyhow, I have recently found my Korean family and plan to be taking a trip in November, 2008 to see them. So I am hoping to figure out a way that I can learn or recover what I knew of the language even if it is limited. Can anyone give me a little information on where I could begin searching or how I could learn the language in 3 mths? Hopefully it will be as easy to learn it in 3 mths as it was for me to lose it in 3 mths. :) more

Resolved Question: How do you learn conversational hypnosis? I believe it works as it has been done to me.?

I have been in situations where I was set in concrete to do one thing and in no time did the exact opposite. I would love to learn this technique to turn the tables and more importantly know when it is being done to me. I am certain it has been used to get me to change my stance on issues for just long enough for people to hurt me with it (not physically) but to get me to say things I would NEVER have agreed to. My last employeer tried it on me but for the most part was to stupid to know how to do it correctly and failed miserably. (He was the only employer I ever had who did not like me as I had complained and had lots of evidence against him for violating the law which my union told me it was in my best interest not to bring to the FBI. I wish now that I did as even though I let him off the hook so to speak by only informing my union he has blackballed me from any new jobs. I have a serious problem. Last week, my friend Ryan visited me and told me about something cool he found online. He said that he learned how to hypnotize people. Now, this has always been something that intrigued me; naturally, I volunteered for a demonstration. He asked what would be awesome, and after a while thinking, I had the best idea ever. Have you ever seen those hypnosis shows where the hypnotist makes people feel amazing on command? Well, I told him to make me feel incredible whenever I said a particular word. Well, Ryan did an excellent job. I woke up a few minutes later and didn't remember a thing. He then asked me to name the body part where feces comes out. I said, "Ass? Butt? Rectum? Anus... HOLY SHIT!" Apparently that clown made my trigger word "anus." Saying it felt so good. It was like sex, but could say it over and over and over.Here's my problem. I'm completely addicted to saying the word, "anus." It feels so good, I can no longer control myself. I have to take frequent bathroom breaks at work and just scream, "ANUS! ANUS! ANUS!!" at the top of my lungs. I'm starting to get scared; what if people hear me? Somebody must have by now. I can't take it anymore! Every few minutes I must say it. Ryan can't hypnotize me into not saying it anymore because I can't resist saying "anus" long enough for him to put me into trance. I just love anus so much. I can't get enough anus. more

Well I am at that part now where I need to defeat the Elite Four and get my National Dex. So I was wondering if the following team would help me win or not, and also please let me know which Pokemon need their levels to go up and what moves they should learn. My Party: 1) Gyarados (lvl 45): Surf, Hydro Pump, Ice Fang, Waterfall. 2) Abomasnow (lvl 42): Avalanche, Blizzard, Ingrain, Wood Hammer. 3) Infernape (lvl 43): Flamethrower, Focus Punch, Close Combat, Fire Blast. 4) Staraptor (lvl 43): Close Combat, Take Down, Aerial Ace, Fly. 5) Haunter (lvl 40): Mean Look, Hypnosis, Shadow Ball, Dream Eater. 6) Dialga (lvl 55): Metal Claw, Ancient Power, Dragon Claw, Roar of Time. Well that is about it. Also I have the legendary trio in the P.C all at level 50 and also a Mewtwo at level 71. So please suggest what levels I should get my party to right now and where would be a good place to train them all.Also you know that lady that teaches Dragon Pokemon, the move Draco Meteor? Well I was wondering if I take Dialga to her, and she teaches it to him, will she still teach it to my Gible as well if I take him to her? Or is it only like a one time only opportunity, which only allows me to get 1 Pokemon to learn Draco Meteor?Also I am not going to use any AR or anything. It just ruins the fun of the game. I mean I rather spend a few days training than cheating to get the desired level. If I was to ever use AR, it would only be for getting like say an extra Masterball for Creselia. But that would be it.Ok I got an update now. My friend generously gave me his Magmortar (lvl 50), Larvitar (lvl 20), and a Shiny Gyarados (lvl 20). Although the other 2 aren't that high level, I will be training them. In fact the Gyarados is only because he has soo many shiny Pokemon like a Shiny Shaymin and a Darkrai. Larvitar will be trained and evolved into a Tyranitar.I can't believe I did it! I finally beat the Elite Four with my level 50 Magmortar, level 71 Mewtwo, level 55 Dialga, and my level 50 Gyarados. It turned out I just had to have the right amount of Hyper Potions and movesets. Actually Mewtwos Physicic helped out most of them in 1 hit. more

Resolved Question: Why can't i feel anything for people?!?

I don't feel anything for anyone, my family, my friends, women, men, i even tried make up characters in my dreams and see if i feel for them... but its still the same. I feel like nobody truely knows me or needs to, i feel condemned now that i have been thinking about this. Its not because i am depressed or anything i feel fine. All my emotions are barely expressible, when i feel sad its not really that sad, same with happiness and everything else. I wasn't always this way because as a child i remember that i felt things for people, and not only my family evn people i didn't know. I have tried everything, i have tried expressing constant love towards people even though its fake. I have given that up and have loked at different metal health issues, no notable symptoms of anything i found. And about a year ago i tried hypnosis, again nothing. I have read that people that hate can learn to love, and people that love can fall into hate. What if you don't feel anything? What can i do?I asked a phychologist i once had, he said its probably just an apathetic personality... is this hopeless?Oh i had really bad anxiety disorder when i was 14, and i eventually trained myself to not feel anxiety so i got over that. my partner has had learning difficulties all his life, cant read cant write, we have been getting him help for this and this has now lead to new problems, when we very first got together, he was voilent, not in a hitting punching kid of way but like in a kiddie kind of way, poking me in the eye, putting his finger up my nose and in my mouth, holiding me down, silly things, and he would loose his temper and shout and scream very easily. he also couldnt keep still for more then ten mins, and id loose him and not know where he was for hours. we got him anger managment but this didnt help as he couldnt concentrate, he then got hypnosis, and this help he is no longer voilent and everything else has slowed down alot. he still is very forgetfl though and cant keep still for too long, he also has and anger still which is like frustration, but when he argues he chucks things at me that doesnt even make sense, and its like dealing with a teenager. ive herd this can be adhd or disbraxia?any ideas more
