Resolved Question: What do i do with my eyes ?does this happen to any other girl/woman?
When i focus on something with concentration or listen to someone intently my eyes become very sharp and intense automatically,I have always had big eyes eversince i was a baby and i love my eyes .I have never heard so much about my eyes in my life like i am hearing these days ,though sometimes people have complimented me but never so much, people in the train tell me that they are looking at my eyes, people at my work tell me that they like my eyes and just recently an old fat creepy guy told me that my eyes hypnotise him and i am not being angry but i am so fed up and i dont know what to do with my eyes,my eyes are naturally like that and when i focus on something they become intense .How do i get people to stop talking about my eyes now and even if they do notice it why cant they just shut up and just let me be myself ,i was never told so much about my eyes anywhere else. Why do these people exaggerate so much ,and why cant they just let me be myself .Am i taking it too seriously but i am so fed up and my eyes are hurting now. This is getting so annoying, next time i listen to someone intently ,i feel scared if someone is noticing my eyes.I am so sorry for the mistakes i made when i posted this question earlier ,i was actually typing in a hurry and out of frustration. moreResolved Question: Do men get creepier with age?
Do guys get more creepy as they get older ,i know not all are like that but i have seen that the older the men are ,especially those who do not have families ,by families i mean not just being married or having a partner but actually have kids and are raising a good family, they seem to be the only ones who are nice and sensible but the other men most of them get creepier as they get older, act flirty and have a lot of that dirty creepy lust you want to run away from, whereas the young guys i meet seem so much better and nicer,i know not all are like that there are young perverts too but in general i find older guys are too desperate when it comes to lust.i have been stalked by older guys as a teenager and now at work there is a man well above 50 but imagines he is still 20(he is married but has no kids) and he always stares at my body and my eyes and today he was telling me that he finds my eyes hypnotising, and this is a fat old ugly creepy guy so imagine how i felt inside when i heard that and i am on my training so i cant run away from him that easily as i have to learn the things in his department so i will be there for another week. What do i do, my friends do not even talk to him but i interacted with him openly because i wanted to learn from him before i left that department but i never thought someone my dad's age would say this to me.Did i do something wrong,am i giving the wrong signals ,my friend was scolded by our boss and mentor for not learning about that department even after being there for 2 weeks but now i feel she was right i did rather not know anything and be scolded than learn things from a man like him.How do i keep my distance from such people ,what should be my body language and my way of talking to such people. Are all older guys and men like this and do men generally get more creepy and desperate with age. moreResolved Question: Don't you think Doonesbury has gone too far?
It is one thing, when he satirizes political ineptitude, but to make light of trying to educate a young pregnant woman.... Shows poor taste. Maybe we need some sensitivity training for political cartoonist. He could be hypnotized to be a fetus, about to be butchered, or an ex-pregnant woman in the throes of depression and remorse now that life itself was just ripped from her body. What's in your cranium??? Respectfully Yours, A Devout Cafeteria CatholicDaver.... I am the very last person on earth to denounce Freedom of the Press! Has anyone out there ever tried and been successful in hypnotizing a dog to do your will? I was thinking of doing this to potty-train my new puppy, but I'm unsure whether or not it can be done. moreResolved Question: Is my writing boring? ? ?
Here's a passage. It's geared more towards girl teens. Leslie smelt it first, like her subconscious trained her nose to do, stopping midsentence and jerking away from us. It was a single candle, alit by a sharp orange flame, so tiny, so insignificant, but leaving indelible scratches across our memories at the same time. A trundle of milk grey smoke, wafting from the wick danced in circles, reaching for the ceiling. Even though it shouldn’t have, the smell alone sent shivers up my spine. “Are you guys okay?” Evil Step-Sister Three, who is known to everyone else as Kayla, asked as she set down her bag on the edge of my chair. For once, I was too emotionally wasted to come up with a clever come back. Instead, I said, “Just peachy, thank you for asking.” Leslie and Tracy didn’t take their eyes from the candle, ignoring the fact that Kayla invaded our territory. They didn’t even protest when I told them that Three, short for Evil Step-Sister Three, was tagging along. “Are you sure?” She asked, peeling off her gaudy fuchsia down jacket and grabbing my hand. Not okay. Not by a long shot. Any other day I’d wheel around and punch her in the face. Today wasn’t a normal day; I was too preoccupied by the candle to do anything, so I let her continue without any bodily harm. She continued, lowering her voice, “Listen Claire, I understand you don’t like me and I feel uber bad for intruding, but you can tell me anything! That’s what sisters are for!” She continued rambling on, her voice perky and messages inspiring as her Fuggs, Tracy’s name for knock-off Uggs, were made from real sheepskin. I tried my best to block her out, (especially the part about her calling us ‘sisters’), but with so many thoughts rushing through my head, it was almost impossible. It wasn’t that abnormal for Jitter Java to include candles in their décor, I tried to convince myself, because it was, in fact, very abnormal. One - not that I would know or anything, but apart from the horrors of the past week, I had gained some pretty interesting knowledge about fire codes – it seemed like an obvious violation of some sort of rule. Open flame, coffee, caffeine hyped teens, oversized bags, and dancing. It didn’t sound like a good combo for any restaurant, let alone Jitter Java. What coffee place slash dance hall had open flames? Two, in all the years we’d been coming here, we’d memorized the exact layout of the café, from every scratch mark on the aqua stools down to every scuff on the makeshift dance floor. I only remembered candles being used in the store once, lavender smelling candles in quirky glass jars, handmade and kept by the register for sale by the hippy manager from a couple of years back. But she hadn’t worked here since we were in the sixth grade. We avoided talking about her if we could. Something about the candle told me it wasn’t made by the long-gone manager. It didn’t resemble the herby off-beat gobs of wax she sold. Even more unnerving was the timing. Why start using candles now? Who dared to light a candle after… “Claire!” My thoughts were interrupted by Three’s squeaky voice. “Leslie, Tracy! Seriously, are you guys OK? You seem to be a bit zoned out.” Leslie and Tracy, who hadn’t moved in the two minutes since we got her, grunted in response. They were still hypnotized by the flame. “Yeah, Kayla, we’re just great,” I said. “Oh,” she said, twisting a lock of brown-black hair around her pinky. “Well… Do you want to dance then?” Leslie took her eyes off the candle for a split second to face me. After lipping the words we need to talk, she turned back to the flame and kept her eyes on it as if she watched it hard enough, it could reverse the past. “No!” The words spilled from my mouth before I had a chance to slow them. Three jumped a bit. “I mean, no. We can’t dance yet. We absolutely have to get drinks before going dancing, darling.” I said, smoothing over my harsh no with a flash of my crest-white-strip white teeth. “Then do you want to go get some?” Three asked with eager, prying eyes. This one might have been ‘trying’ to bond, but I wasn’t going to fall for it. I had more important things on my mind then sparing one of the Evil Step-Sister’s feelings. “I wish I could,” I said, “but the line’s really long and I twisted my foot getting out of the car.” “I’m sorry. Is there anything I can do to help?” She said. “Actually,” I leaned in like I was telling her a secret, “there is. Would you mind waiting in line for us?” “Sure! Where is it?” She said. I pointed to the line for coffee, on the opposite end of the building. It wrapped around the entire dance floor once then out the door. I handed her a couple of dollar bills a substantial amount but not even enough to cover one of our orders let alone three in hopes of buying us time. She didn’t seem to notice the lack of cash, or length of the line, she skipped towards the line. moreResolved Question: Is this a good start to my book?

I don't want to go through years of training and I don't want some dumb gimmick. How can I do this in at the most, a few minutes and in a way so that it's so simple anyone can do it and it almost always or usually works? moreResolved Question: Would my story idea work out good?
Its about a young girl named Laura, she lives in a sheltering school called Rushdoon, ruled by Jonas Rose, a gentle professor, philanthropist and Doctor of Divinity. Laura can't remember her family or her past, and all the students/people she knows in Rushdoon are Caucasian and white. Soon she learns (after being encountered by a boy and his secret spies) that the school is truly a training ground for the Ministry of Vision, a nonprofit organization (ruled by Jonas) that plots to overtake the United States, convert into a Theocracy with Jonas as Sacred King, and endorse the Ministry's advocacy of Neo-Confederacy, Kinism, Patriarchy, Agrarianism, White Supremacy, and Western Civilization. Laura also discovers Jonas's underground museum of Caricatures; he kidnaps ethnic minority groups and people of color and hypnotize/drug them into being stereotypes of racial bigotry.Well, is the story idea good then or not? moreResolved Question: What do you think of the start of a book I started to randomly write :D?
I got bored and began to write a book I have called it Cast Iron and it's about a young woman who is a simple recreational ice skater but takes a strong personal interest in skating... she one morning when arriving early for the public session watches the morning training ice skaters and sees a young man skating in that second she completely falls in love with him but feels unworthy therefore begins lessons and training it the hope he will notice her however he is promised to his professional skating partner but the more she improves the more he notices her they never speak I'm afraid this is all I have got too really I'm not taking it too seriously it's just a story :D here is the first few paragraphs I just wrote... ‘AND…push that’s it forward… 3 turn… hold that inside edge… hold it… and swing that right leg round… UP… UP… I want to see it higher… finish arms elevated… focus extended out and up… arms outstretched… turn out that leg… good… okay now let’s see that again I want to see more swing and power in your jumps… height is key to success… come on start from your backward crossovers this time then alternate and repeat from forward crossovers…’ In all honesty I had no idea what she was prattling on about although it all sounded technically relevant and helpful. Her name being Devonna Bertolette: international junior and senior competitor and gold medallist in both national/international competitions. Yes. She was a fabulous little French skater with connotations of divinity before retiring to show work and coaching of course. Articulate but brutal were the words I extracted and devoured from her presence. I’d only ever read about her in books and paper cuttings but now watching her command that beckoning surface with such ease and grace not only did I admire but my eyes burned with such exasperating envy. My envy strengthened further when my next thought developed. Like a phantom philosopher, a bright shine in the eye this hit me like a bullet to every bone in which stabled my stance. My lips became raw and unclosed, my body filled with a thousand and one pins and needles. Almost hypnotised and paralyzed to the spot. Such strong pinnacles balanced perfectly upon beautiful mysterious SP-TERI boots. Hair a cocoa brown and eyes to match full of words and concentration, he followed her friendly orders with such polite power and passion.Thank you for all your kind advice I was terrified you'd all say it was rubbish haha :DAlaskan Author- well done you figured out how I may be potentially ending it haha I wanted to end it with them on the ice still having not physically spoken then they simply kiss and it all kinds of speaks for itself :DTo be honest my aim is for some if it to not make sense haha certain sentences will sound a little over the top and out of place because it's something different and unstructured and that's kinda what my minds like also the story is quite personal :)peperoni pizza: sorry for the confusion the coach has nothing to do with the intimacy the young women just feels jealous because if she could skate as good as her she feels he would notice her, the coach is just the male skater's coach and that is all no intimacy :) I didn't think it was that confusing to be honest :') but I suppose that's because I am writing it :') moreResolved Question: Ice skating story? What should I do?
I was hanging out with a couple of my friends at the local bar, and the four of us were dropping back brewskis and having a good time. Eventually, as it always happens, the end of the night draws to a close and two of my friends that are a couple left to head back to their apartment. That left me and Sarah to chat about things. Sarah's got a boyfriend who's coming back to college and me and her aren't the type of friends to go out with each other, so I don't think she was hitting on me. That being said, she started asking why I hadn't had a girl finally train me to be her husband. I looked at her like she was insane because it didn't make sense to me. But she explained it to me like this: 1) It's not like a master and slave thing, but girls need to train a guy properly to be their husband. 2) I'm not getting any younger and most girls need time to make a good husband, so I need to make myself available to them. 3) It's not like dating or stuff like that, it's dedication to helping a girl change me to how she wants, whether that means hypnotizing me or punishing me or stuff like that. I looked at Sarah like she was crazy, but she seemed totally serious. Now, she said that most girls deserve someone like me but since I wasn't giving in to them, it wasn't working out. She said she couldn't really help train me well because she's in a committed relationship. I slept on this and I still don't know what to make of it. I never knew it was supposed to be this way, I feel totally stupid. How can I convince a girl to train me to be hers? Can someone help me? moreResolved Question: Is it possible to hypnotise someone to hear either subsonic or supersonic sound?

There's this guy at college who's Autistic or has some form of mental disability, because I'm a nice person, I've let him befriend me on facebook and let him hang around me. The problem is, he's really annoying. He pokes me on the tummy and tells me I should lose weight, tries to hypnotise me and keeps saying loads of crazy stuff to me and is always talking to me. He got on the train with me last week and knocked over a strangers drink and kept saying mad stuff to strangers and it was so awkward. I'm nice to him and I understand that he has special needs (as I have some very minor special needs myself) but I just wish that he'd leave me alone because he's constantly bugging me. I don't know how to deal with him because I can't just be unfriendly to him because he deserves a friend or two :/ I don't know what to do! moreResolved Question: Horse becomes magnet to exit and gaining respect when riding?
I asked this question recently and recieved helpful answers which I appreciate. However, I didn't recieve many and am therefore looking for more input. If this is too long and you don't want to read, skip to the bottom obviously. After riding a push-button TBH gelding in my dressage lessons, I was put on a younger (not too young, but 11) more... headstrong QH mare who's trained in 2nd level dressage. I admit I was getting comfy on that push-button horse. But this one will hopefully teach me a lot because of her attitude! I'm still quite a beginner. And to be honest, I have a very soft personality. "Too" gentle. After only two lessons on her, this head-strong horse has figured that out. In the arena she tends to become hypnotized by that darn exit. She will sidestep to it when I want her to go straight in the opposite direction. My trainer tells me to keep constant (though not pulling) contact with the rein on one side and use off-on pressure on the side I want to go to. Then use my opposite leg to kick and keep kicking with more intensity if the horse isn't responding. I don't seem to be "kicking" hard enough. My trainer performed this with no issue. So I know it's ME with the problem. It's my inexperience and the mare's lack of respect for this. Unfortunately with work, I only get to ride 1-3 times a week. Sometime during this week when I find time, I'm just going to hack on this horse and try to figure it out. I need a lot of work with this... this horse is running me over! And I fully realize it's my job to fix that. I think I'm the only person to ride this lesson horse. My trainer has given me some good advice (for example, keeping my outside elbow to my hip REALLY helped). This is an awesome horse that I want to lease in the near future. But I need to reestablish some things first... And that's where my question comes in. To gain repsect when riding and for a horse that become a magnet to the exit and therefore ignores signals... what do you recommend? While I appreciate any constructive crits or advice... please do not recommend whips or spurs. My trainer performed what I was having trouble with without the use of a crop or spurs. And since I'm still a beginner, I need to learn how to function without those things. moreResolved Question: Gaining respect when riding?

Occupy Wall Street protesters are undergoing collectivist zombie training in Atlanta, where a large group was caught on film engaging in a weird sort of "one voice" hypnotic chanting ritual that characterises the key principles of both Communism and Socialism. Having studied linguistics and human psychology over many years, I recognise mass hypnosis when I see it. The mind-numbing call-and-return vocalisations captured in this video reflect the same kind of mind control techniques used in cults, sporting events and even some church revival events. The whole point of this experience is to eliminate the individual mind and train everyone to think, and say, and do exactly what they are told to do by a "leaderless leader" who is really a mind control manipulator. does it stand as a dark counselor only, misdirecting our attention away from the pure Self, our original nature? Are we captive to this dark counselor, or are we capable of choosing to ignore its suggestions, its cunning ideas? Does its subterfuge overwhelm us with its noisome cacophony of bombarding thoughts? Or can we see the constant stream of egoic, self-interested thoughts as "suggestions" only that visit for a moment and then pass on? Without attention and attachment to the streaming, changing thoughts, we realize that they are moving on, harmless travelers without a destination. Does it seem to boil down to investing, first attention, then interest in the passing egoic thought train, and finally, forgetting our true nature as Self, as we fall into the entrainment of the hypnotizing rhythm of these thoughts? Where does our true power lie...in the inner silence of our being or in the outer cacophony of the incessant streaming thoughts? moreResolved Question: Foreign guys versus American guys?
There is an undeniable difference between the behavior of American men and that of men from other countries. Any female who has dated multiple non-American men or visited other countries (especially Europe) knows. It has been my experience that regardless of where a man is from, he is always like other men in regards to sex drive. A healthy sex drive seems to be the common denominator with men everywhere. However, where personality, behavior, and the art of communication go, the difference is remarkable. Non-American men are more genuinely mature and seem much less to be concerned with just appearing so. They do not carry themselves as needing guidance or being at a lack for inspiring topics of conversation. They are not into cartoons, comic books, train collecting and other child like hobbies. They do not have an extensive wardrobe and yet still manage to nail stylish looks realizing that their appearance does count. They do not hide behind safe cliche past times to fit into the mainstream and confidently be who they feel they are. The European guys in particular don't appear afraid of, or terribly confused by, women which I suppose accounts for the seemingly almost absent attitude of misogyny whereas in America most men really just despise women (although 99% of women seem to be sleepwalking and not realizing this.) Non-Americans are also not short on imagination and charm. And the biggest difference of all between American guys and the rest of the male world is that the non-Americans are not AT ALL ashamed to discuss their emotions and private thoughts and do so readily. Non-American men just possess and display much much more courage and character. A non-American man I once dated told me that American people are nothing at all like they portray themselves on television. Is it that America has been such a stable country politically for so long that Americans seem to have lost the spunk that comes with acknowledging and appreciating on a regular basis the fact that there is no major civil unrest or constant threat of attack from a neighboring country and therefore have forgotten that life is to be lived passionately when times of peace and prosper allow for it? Are American males raised much differently? Do American females play much of a role in causing the difference? Are American females just as, for lack of a better word, blah? Has American media captured and hypnotized American males causing their seemingly spaced-out and child like condition? Have non-American people watched American television believing that Americans are mostly all funny, charming, sensual, and exceptionally witty and intelligent and, in an effort, to keep pace with us, become all these things themselves, not realizing that Americans were never really all these things they saw on television to begin with? What's going on in America (or not going on) that's not happening (or happening) in other countries? moreResolved Question: Fallen Angel Dream Interpretation.?
Tis a bit long, sorry... So the dream starts and I'm in a forest with an extra-curriculum science class and we're studying electricity. We're making circuits and stuff around water, and suddenly I get pulled in through a puddle and the next thing I know, I'm at the bottom of a dam. The dam goes in a full circle with gaps up the top for water to fill into it. The walls are almost vertical and the creatures (unsure what they were) were about to fill the dam with water. They don't know I'm there, but I know that if they did they'd just kill me anyway - I'd be better off drowning. I somehow manage to make it up the walls of the dam without being killed and just before they fill the dam up. I look around for help, knowing that in about 5 seconds I'll be dead if I can't find anyone. Already the creatures are closing in on me when suddenly I see a familiar face. I beg the Fallen Angel with my eyes to come and help me, and even though he isn't exactly good, he spreads his wings and flies over to me. His wings are a sickly pale colour, like a bats wings except bigger. He pulls the cowl of his hood over his disfigured head - they'd kill him too if they knew he was here. He grabs my wrist and begins to lead me out of there, and it's all I can do not to hold onto him as well because I'm terrified. If the creatures knew they'd kill us both in a second. He picks me up and flies through another portal but this one leads us to a train station. Immediately on the other side something swoops at him - another Fallen Angel, but this one has great big white, fluffy and glorious wings. I don't know how I know, but he protects me - I just know it. So does the other Fallen Angel with him, a girl called Skylar. They're both glorious and beautiful, a great contrast from the other Fallen Angel. Skylar swoops in on the the Fallen Angel in the cloak, her teeth and nails extending inches lnog to razor-sharp points, snapping viciously as she swoops in on him, attacking. I don't tell them to stop - I want to, but I can't. Instead I say "No!" but it comes out too quietly, so I go to the Fallen Angel on the ground and cradle his head in my lap before they can further attack him. "He saved my life. He helped me." I know this confuses them because he's supposed to be evil, but Skylar immediately becomes her beautiful self again and crouches down beside up, caring for him because he protected me. "Oh, I'm so sorry! The poor thing, he's only a baby, hurt and so far from home..." She picks him up and her and the other Fallen Angel, Danny, exchange looks before leading us to an occult shop, where he can be healed. Just from being inside the shop, the hurt Angel looks better, but we hear that someone has led astray several extremely powerful witches, hypnotized them. And when the Fallen Angel looks at me, I know he'll do all he can do to protect me, no matter how hurt he is. Even if it goes against his evil nature. Because I just know that he loves me, like I love him too. Any suggestions on what any of this means? Anything is appreciated... The evil Fallen Angel would look a bit like what Marcus from Underworld looks like... except at times I got the impression he had a bird's head and beak... moreResolved Question: Please read my story and give me your honest opinion. Can you please give me your honest opinion on this story I wrote. It basically has no plot and its still not finished ... well it was about me and my gf when we were going thru a bad part in our relationship. I just wrote it out of the blue. lol. I'm 18 and I've never written before but please tell me what you honestly think. Btw any criticism is good criticism in my book. Well here it is "Untitled" Are lips pressed together slowly in a soft but passionete kiss. Feeling her hands touch my chest I pulled her in an embrace deepening the kiss as she ran her tounge onto my lips begging for entrance. That's when I was brought back into reality as I pushed her tiny frame off me thus breaking lip contact. Gasping for air I know I shouldn't be doing this. Not with her. I then felt her small but gentle warm hands touch my cheeks as if she was begging for my lips to once again to make contact with hers. I turned my head away to avoid her heart breaking stare. Knowing that if I looked into her amazing gray orbs I would be pulled ino her hypnotizing gaze. She then ran her hands from my cheeks to my sholders leaving a hot burning feeling on my skin. I gasped as I then felt some strange wet feeling on my chest. I looked down curious as to what it was. To my amazement I found her sobbing on to my chest. And that's when the guilt stabbed me in the pit of my stomach. In a gut wrenching twist. I can't stand to see her cry. I knew that I was unworthy of her love. Eventhough she didn't know it I knew that I was never the right guy for her. For the pass 2 years I've pushed her away, not giving her the love that she deserves. But it was for my own good. I had to protect myself. I couldnt risk getting hurt again, I just couldn't. Her voice breaks my train of thought. "why can't you trust me, don't you love me? I know I've made mistakes in the past but.... but we can move on from them and leave it all behind us. Just please open up to me like you use to" She said in a heart broken voice as her gray sobbing eyes looked up to me. I could feel her stare burning a whole in the side of my skull. I decided to turn my head to her. Damn it. I just knew it! I just knew that if I just glanced at her that I would be trapped in her ever lasting gaze. Her long mangled black hair rested on her shoulders. Streams of tears running down her lightly red cheeks. She looked like an angel even when she was crying. Her beauty was that of a goddess that has been sent down by the heavens. Well thats all I got for now. lolWell I appreciate all the answers, eventhough I agree with kate it is a little stale. It's not finished yet, and I need a few more ideas about what to include and what I should focus on. Please don't be afraid to give constructive criticism, I won't mind. And if possible give a grade! Thanks. Btw this is GCSE level. The wind gushed through the almost deserted station, as three people stood patiently at the platform. A slight smell of burning lingered in the air. The bin that stood at the corner emanated a strong smell of coffee, that had been dumped in there by previous passers. The sound of rats scurrying along the train tracks made the three waiters slowly take a step backwards. A soft jingle of a train passing a neighbouring platform broke the silence. Although the platform was currently nearly deserted, a few hours previously the open spaced platform had been crammed with travellers rushing to get home. The walls, that were covered in posters, encouraged passers to stop and read the brightly coloured letters. Although some people did mutter under their breathe, they still couldn’t help the attraction to the colourful posters that grasped their attention. The yellow line, that signalled danger, was not approached by the three waiters on the platform. Suddenly, a voice called that broke the precious silence “Please mind the gap between the train and the platform” The blaring lights of the train engulfed the platform, and a smile slowly began to sketch on the three patient faces. The doors of the train clanked open, and the passengers flooded out. A bald man with tall, hunched shoulders punched his way through the crowd, leaving an impression of authority. He was closely followed by a woman who dragged along a buggy. In the buggy, a messy toddler sat giggling at passengers rushing by. A tourist, who wore a bright orange hat, held a map with a look of anguish on his face. A group of five or six teenage boys, slowly and deliberately, parted the crowd as they walked. The busy platform had suddenly become silent. The boys that strutted across the platform were peeked at by passengers slyly. As they approached the exit, the crowd began talking loudly again. The passengers who had infested the platform, had all headed towards each of the exits. The platform was empty. The wind slowly played with the litter, forming a circle, that drifted under a rigid bench. The crumpled plastic bag, a pack of McDonalds’ fries, an empty juice carton and swirls of dust, gathered and stood silently for a moment. Another gush of wild wind sent the litter flying across to the opposite platform. The walls that were once white were now smoke black, covered in hypnotising advertisements. On the others side a large black clock, the second hand ticking in a rhythmic heart beat. The wooden slatted benches, with their green paint flaking, stood alone, rigid and empty. A gold plated sign hung on the bench, and small engraved letters stated who the bench was dedicated to.Please do re-edit it! Twelve-year-old Alyssa Norris has suffered through tough times of her life. She lost her parents at the age of seven, her aunt at age nine, and her uncle has been very irresponsible, cruel, and abusive towards her and her cousin due to his high amounts of drinking. One day, when Alyssa discovers that she has mysteriously received the power to make animals speak English to her, she also discovers later that day that a family friend she once knew was also her godfather, whom she really wished she got to live with. To make her dream come true, Alyssa runs away from home to travel on an international train down to New Jersey, where her godfather lives. But her dream is ruined when a truck driver “hypnotizes” her to agree to travel to Africa and help a needy family. When Alyssa arrives in Africa, she meets the family. But then is told that she must help animals released from a zoo survive in the wild and use her magical power to help them. After spending an entire day doing that, the African family furiously leaves her. After getting over that, Alyssa offers the animals a tour of the Tanzanian savannas. But then an African wizard informs her about a charmed necklace located in the Congo that she must retrieve in order to raise suspicion of the truck driver her. He suspects that the driver wants to harm her in some way, but leaves Alyssa to find out more about it. For some of you, it may sound a lot like The Wild Thornberries, but it's actually completely different; especially once you read it (the first 4 chapters are available on Worthy of Publishing's website and the title is Alyssa's African Adventures). There are a lot of serious themes, strong emotions, and a little bit of violence. I would assume kids who can relate to the MC or know someone who's been living a similar life would buy it. This is a common topic in children's books. The drinking part may seem a little mature, but many elementary schools teach kids about that starting at 4th or 5th grade. Plus you never see the uncle drink. And kids read up a lot. With the talking animals, I will try and make that a little more minor, but I can't cut them out. I can have humans mix in with those scenes though for serious situations. I'm actually not finished yet. moreResolved Question: what do you think of this small part of my story?
--CLARENCE-- He is an artist. He dips long, wooden, paint brushes into little spotches of paint and draws his heart on the subway walls. People stop and stare with wide eyes and open mouths, as if they had forgotten they had been saying something just a moment before. Their eyes follow his steady movements and with awe and hushed curiosity whisper to each other, never taking their eyes off the man and his brush. He holds them captivated and hypnotized like a fish in a net. Helpless in his grasp, he cradles their imagination, and convinces their mind to consider the impossible. His work absorbs him as well. It consumes his senses to the point that the only person in the room is him, and the only thing that matters is his art. I would have stood there all night staring at the aftermath of his imagination smeared on the walls in the form of blues and greens and magenta, if a hand hadn't landed so gently on my shoulder. "You should leave, there are no more trains for at least a couple hours," said a firm voice. It was him. The composer of the art. "I-I know." I managed. "I was looking at-" "The painting? Yes, strange how it pulls you in, eh? My name is Clarence. I painted that. And you are?" "I know that too," I said laughing a little."I'm Bay. Bay Hudson." "Pleasure to meet you, Bay Hudson." I have a PhD in medical anthropology, and am ABD in neuropsychology. I've observed that individuals who "believe" in religious faith...versus thinking, logic, reason, and science....may make claims to have a faith in god, etc...but that is not how they live their lives. I know dozens of so called "rich" and successful Christians, Jews, etc....who do not spend their days with a prayer of Faith on their lips...but their entire professional lives are spent in acquiring information, doing research, doing the hard work of analysis, and coming to logical conclusions to ensure they remain rich and successful. Interestingly, rich Atheists and Scientists think in the same way. For example: When a religious person goes to buy a car, they don't walk onto the car lot, close their eyes, and put their hands over their ears....and pray and ask god to move them toward a "car" to buy that is based on "god's swill." What the religious do, like everyone else, is open their eyes up wide, not rely on faith, but put on their thinking cap and do comparison shopping in the same way a scientist thinks and observes nature and the world. But, if you ask the religious if they live their lives in a Faith-Based manner....they will tell you "yes." This indicates to trained observers of human psychology that the religious are not only hypnotized into believing they are being faithful, but are not aware of how their brains actually work, i.e. in the use of reality testing, research, logic, and reason...meaning that all religion does is teach people how to compartmentalize and deny the reality in which they swim...so that the religious can continue to believe the fabrication that they exist only on "faith." I don't know how many times" I've heard the religious state that they ONLY trust in god, or pray to Jesus for answers....or that they are willingly engaged in religious slavery to a divine thingy of which they have no proof....and that god is in charge of their lives. This expression of religious Faith...is complete, total hypocrisy, and a belief in magic, that is sold to the religious every Sunday in church and on TV by greasy-haired jumpin'-jack, speaking in tongues, snake handling, magic promoting, mumbo jumbo preachers and evangelists. This form of hypocritical religious magic states...that you can be a lazy, nonthinker...but if you say the right prayers and express "faith" in god and the church...god will answer your prayers. In fact, god and Jesus will grant you stuff you didn't earn and give you stuff that you don't deserve. Worse, Faith denies the existence of reality and science, and further states that all scientists and Atheists are bad, evil people...because they have no Faith. Therefore, the question is....Faith...the opposite of Thinking, Logic, Reason and Science....? Lately I have been realizing that people use aggression to get their point across, causing no sound answer or sense of finality to follow discussion. This girl from my high school, A.R, posted a picture to her facebook of her flipping off the camera and wearing a ring with a peace sign on it. The caption read, “hey.. GOVERNMENT... this ones for you.” I wouldn’t normally have a problem with someone putting their opinions out there like that (since that is what Facebook is for and all) but the conversation that spurred because of this picture is what got to me. It consisted of throws back and forth to why government is good and why it is it not. The only straight answer to why everyone hated the government was essentially “the government loves to keep us as pets, keeping us occupied, so they we don't rebel. there are like 34937492837423987x more of us than them, and they know that, which is why we have our mainstream television which is hypnotizing, and suckers you in. the average man watches 3 years of commercials his entire life, it encourages you to buy things and do things that other people are buying and doing, because that way they can separate you ino social classes, making everone's ego's do the work that their higher consciousnesses should be doing and makes us all fight and separate at be hateful instead of loving” basically. A. then goes on to say that she really just dreams of a utopian society. The definition of a utopia, according to the online Merriam-Webster dictionary, is an imaginary and indefinitely remote place; a place of ideal perfection, especially in laws, government, and social conditions. There is definitely no problem in dreaming of a perfect world, but a perfect world only existed once, thousands of years ago. And because of the downfall of humanity that sprang out in the Garden of Eden thousands of years ago, a utopian society is completely out of question. So my question is, what good is it doing anyone or any situation sitting on your ass and smoking pot and hating the government? It seems to only cause more conflict. I’m not saying that you should be a mindless pig and absentmindedly follow everything you are told by the government, but trolling about how corrupt our government is is doing no good as well. People know to think for themselves, and those who think they don’t get that idea from the sociopaths who feed them these twisted thoughts. In the latter quote above, the paranoia embedded in this persons mind is sickening. I’m pretty sure those who make cleaning supply commercials, persay, aren’t standing around thinking of how they are going to brainwash people into buying their product so that you will be separated into different social classes and thus aid in the governments “schemes”. I do agree however, that some commercials (like military ones) put out by the government or whatever seem a little over encouraging of themselves and are a little foreboding. However, we do need people to defend our country, no matter how trained as a dog they end up being. Also, a big problem in this conversation seems to be America’s selfishness. The only way the people in this conversation are getting this idea is from things like commercials and news and tv and stuff. They say that it is easy to be comfortable and sit on a couch and watch tv and get fed all these ideas by our government. They also say that we are ruining mother nature (???) and one day will realize our problem. And I’m just over here not saying anything in this conversation, minding my own business thinking everyone is crazy. (AND that leads me to another point; minding your own business every once in a while is NOT A BAD THING.) But I want to say what I think. I think that we do need government (obviously). There is government everywhere you look. In churches, schools, cliques, gangs, social groups, and even within yourself. There is always a leader and followers (or within yourself the id, ego, and superego). Not everyone can be the head say and someone will always have to be or end up being. In a utopia, or in other words, in a perfect world, God would be this head say and we would all essentially mindlessly follow and worship him. We wouldn’t have any second thought or opinion to it being wrong or their being another way of life. Moving on, there is no such thing as original thought. You always get an idea or thought off of an inspiration from another thought or group of thoughts. So the argument of us all being mindless freaks is limbo. Even those arguing this are being fed these ideas through drugs, other hippies, or speakers such as Michael Tsarion. There is no such thing as a perfect government, but I think that ours is doing a pretty damn good job. It allows discussions like this and people to be opinionated, and allows those who do want to be mindless freaks to easily fall into society without worry. I think it gives leeway to the kind of lifestyle you want to live for the most part. Yes, wwe still have a somewhat conservative judgement on lifestyles as a nation, but the overall flow is not terrible. I want to see where these people so infuriated with our government would be if they lived in places like Iraq, or China, or any other nondemocratic or nonstructured sense of government. I think it is selfish of them to troll on and on about how corrupt our government is and neglect the billions of other people in the world who would die to come to America and bitch freely about how much they hate any authority. It really makes me sick! Get your head out of your butt and move on. There is no such thing as a perfect government! Now granted I do not pay attention so much to all things political because I can choose to be ignorant just as these people can choose to be trolls and do not know every little happening going on in our government. I don’t not pay attention because nothing is affecting me, I don’t pay attention because I don’t like heated debates like this because I am highly opinionated. Now go ahead and fuss that I’m being selfish and lazy and trying to stay comfortable or whatever, but what good is coming out of downing a government we truthfully have little control over? You can easily avoid many laws and live freely how you want to live, you aren’t being restricted in your beliefs and such. Yes, financially we are screwed and yes there are a lot of power hungry leaders in our government, but is anyone really suffering? Poverty is everywhere and unavoidable. It takes a government within our government to truly work some issues like that out and step up and help others. Standing around attending conventions about how or government sucks and getting wasted and high all the time is a waste of time, just like these circular arguments. A little bit of selfishness really is not a bad answer to this dilemma. If we all lived to help others, not base our lives off of what is going on in Washington, live life to its fullest, and keep our eyes on the ultimaultimate prize, Jesus Christ, the world would be a completely better place. And this rebuttal is not original thought either, since I’m sure someone else has felt this way as well. And that’s all I have to say about that. Sort of. moreResolved Question: Un-potty trained need help?

The more I stroll the street or malls at night, seeing all the humans and couples and happy and dull faces of them, the more I feel so distanced and separated.. Men in suits always looking oh so professional, with their seemingly chic I-Phones or Blackberry on their ears, Women often with glamorous necklace, and latest/newest brand of bag, Ads blaring everywhere you see, hear, and even approached by so-called "Sales girls", discount here, buy this, buy that, discount there, You come out from movie theaters watching perhaps most fantastical & hypnotizing movies/films, that you even freezes out and don't feel like you want to get back into Real life, 'cuz it's so damn dull, bland, and everyday repeats and repeats, seemingly without and end, There are papers to fill, constant bills to pay: phone bill, water bill, electricity bill, gas bill, you work from early morning until night, often in a job you hate too just because 80% humans around you said "well it's normal! wake up, tough it up! this is Real world you're living in, hello? helloo! wake upp, stop dreaming!" And at the end of the day, whether you're driving inside car, or riding on a train or subway with perhaps music plugged onto your ears, you sighed: "is there really any point in all of these madness and boredoms? when...until when I have to keep going like this??" "Why can't I just be FREE ??? Why do I have to live this 'normal' life? And why EVERYBODY seems to be OKAY sticking with it??? What's with all those faces?? I'm sick and tired seeing all of 'em! What is this world? If not full of pains, sufferings, while at other parts of the world: the often-neglected-and-ignored poverty, war victims, rape victims, pedophile victims, while at the capitalistic side of the world: men chasing higher status and kissing their boss' asses, and that's all their life is all about, while women constantly comparing and fighting for newest brand of clothes, jewelries, bags,..a never-ending pursuit! Everything just seems so shallow and dull.. Only rarely you feel that shivering feelings of Love, Peace, Touch....things that are basically really still *worth* for living and breathing on this blue Planet.. but too often you wish you're just disappear away into your dream-world, or into another multi-universe, or you wish that cool science-fiction and movies come into reality, like there's a portal to other world away from this dull & obnoxious world.. I don't know... I guess I just hate being normal, and don't get why most people on the earth seems to stick and enjoy it... it just makes me feel more isolated, distanced, separated from the "Real world", and feel depressed.. moreResolved Question: Recommend bands/genres for me?
My favorite bands at the moment: - Metallica (favorite songs are fade to black, call of ktulu, thing that should not be, sanitarium, orion, one, and justice for all, to live is to die, nothing else matters, unforgiven, king nothing, mama said, fuel, devils dance, unforgiven 2, all nightmare long, cyanide, unforgiven 3,suicide and redemption) - AC/DC (shoot to thrill, what do you do for money honey, thunderstruck, hard as a rock, rock n roll train) - Linkin Park (my december, in the end, breaking the habit, shadow of the day, waiting for the end) - Megadeth (in my darkest hour, holy wars, hangar 18, polaris, the scorpion, never walk alone, head crusher) - System of a Down (toxicity, chop suey, hypnotize, soldier side) I also have a few songs by Disturbed, Evanescence, GnR, Michael Jackson, Rage Against the Machine, Trans Siberian Orchestra, and Slayer. I also like a lot of soundtrack music, in particular the iron man, matrix, star wars, indiana jones, lord of the rings, pirates of the caribbean, and how to train your dragon. Oh, and I hate almost all mainstream music (gaga, jb, rihanna, kesha, cyrus, etc.) So as you can see, I don't exactly fit into any one category or band (i.e I'm not a fanatic of any genre, but I definitely seem to lean more towards metal). It might be difficult to classify me, but based on the songs I find most favorable from the bands I like, I think I like songs that are more... idk... melodic? Or emotive maybe? Im not too crazy about really thrashy songs that concentrate mostly on speed and technicality(i.e battery, that was just your life, one step closer, sweating bullets, peace sells, mechanix, bulls on parade, intoxication, stricken) and I like songs that are more rhythm/melody oriented. Thats what a lot of my favorite songs from my favorite bands have in common, I think. So in conclusion, which genre do you think I might like? Or what bands? I like to think that there's a band/genre out there that is "made for me", if you know what I mean. So far, Metallica has come the closest to satisfying my tastes. moreResolved Question: Is this writing good?
This is something I wrote earlier...I am trying to get a second opinion on this, please tell me if it is good. It's not a song, it's a poem, and it's not done yet, but I'm working on it. Look out over the city, Over the glow shining in the night. Stars twinkle over the water across, A balcony’s view faraway, a child’s eyes look out towards the light. My husband and I have a date night every Thursday. We have been making this night out for almost nine years now. We have two children, Daniel, nine and Michelle, eleven. We will most likely ask Michelle to "baby sit" soon, we have employed a neighbor girl for the past two years to watch the kids when we are out. We have spent time with her parents and have trusted Julie for quite some time now. Honestly, I don't know for sure but I suspect that this girl has been hypnotizing both of my children while she is over and being paid to watch over them. The reason I think this is because my son Daniel has become very interested in putting on his older sisters clothing. I caught him recently wearing her panties while getting ready for bed. I came into his room and when I saw him, had no idea what to say. I wasn't even sure if the underwear he was wearing belonged to my daughter, but I thought they did because I had been the one to go and purchase them for her. I asked him why he was wearing girl's panties and he told me that he was supposed to wear panties, that he was supposed to be a girl. He said that he was born a boy but that was that was a mistake. I noticed that while he was saying this to me, his expression went completely blank, his eyes glazed over and he was sort of reciting a script that he had been taught. At the time I didn't notice this but later, it seemed more clear to to me. I really didn't know what to do then so I went to his sister Michelle's room next door to see her. I asked her something about doing the laundry, trying to make sense of the situation. She behaved like there was nothing out of place. I didn't have the heart to go through her underwear drawer that night. I'm not sure but I think Daniel went to bed that night in a pair of Michelle's panties. The next day, when Daniel came down to the kitchen for breakfast, I tried to act as if nothing was amiss but I was very concerned. I didn't know if my nine year old was going to be gay and I was very concerned with talking to my husband about the situation. At that point, I still hadn't even considered Julie as a suspect in the situation but it wasn't long before I found out different. After a time, I had decided to try to monitor Julie when she was babysitting the kids every week, but I didn't know how to do that. At the time, I knew nothing about secret cameras and stuff like that. Also, I was hesitant to say anything to my husband about my suspicions. So, I made up a story one week where my husband would drop me off at my girlfriends place early and he would go over to his friends place to play poker. This whole thing took over three weeks to arrange and I almost lost interest. The thing was though, during this time, Danny kept acting more and more weird. He kept talking about girl stuff. Like how he wished he could join the cheerleading team; how he thought the girl's cheerleading outfits were especially cute and that he really liked the school colors. One day, after school, he asked me out of the blue how girls decide what size bra to wear. He asked me about how girl's choose the pretty colors of their bras and if girls feel prettier when they wear really femine looking bras. I didn't know what to say. I guess I sort of brushed off the remark at the time. That night happened to be Thursday, date night with my husband. We did end up going out but returned early at my insistance. When we got back to the house, I distracted my husband with some request and walked around the side yard to look in the window. What I saw floored me. I looked in the side living room window and saw my nine year old Daniel in a pair of pink panties and a training bra that I assumed belonged to my daughter. He was in the act of stepping into a nylon half slip that I knew we had bought for Michelle a week or two before. I could see that he had little ribbons tied into his hair and that the look on his face was odd. I could also see Michelle wear she was sitting on the couch nearby. Her hands were folded in her lap and she was staring straight ahead with no expression on her face. She did not blink at all the whole time I looked at her through the window. I was totally freaked out. Right when I was about to go around to the front door, Julie the babysitter, produced what looked like a pocket watch on a chain and began swinging it in front of Danny's face. I couldn't hear what she was saying to him but I could clearly see that he instantly froze and became enraptured, staring with this blank look out in front of him. I was beside myself. I looked back at Michelle but she did not not even seem to notice anything. She was in her own trance I guess. At that point, I ran around the house and met my husband who was walking up the main walk. We got to the door at the same time and went in. There was a confrontation there at the time and we ended up calling Julies pa moreResolved Question: Who Church of Twenty years seemed to think murder was the way to do things?

I'm seriously considering playing the violin. I've loved the violin ever since I was a very young child, but unfortunately, I have not yet had the opportunity (or made the opportunity) to learn. I've always been hypnotized by the beautiful sound of the melody played. I keep hearing others say "It's never too late!." But I'm not so sure I believe it. I'm just wondering if I've missed my opportunity. The only music experience I had was playing piano when I was 8 and that was only once, and music class in elementary school and that didn't even teach me how to read music properly. Elizabeth Willis a classical trained violinist and pianist. She has studied violin since the age of five. I keep hearing that it always best to learn when you're young. Many have started at the age of 4. I may never be able to catch up. I also want to have a career in playing the violin and I am 17 years old and the year is almost over and it takes years to really be good at it. There not going to let some amature into a profesional music academy college. Also, my family is not the most richest people on the planet and we just manage by my dad's wage working as a janitor, and I think it would sound greedy of me to ask suck a thing from him. But every time I think about having to forget about the violin and moving on thinking about some other career my heart aches. It hurts. My heart yearns, aches for the violin. I have nothing else to live for really I'm not good in anything I'm bad at everything I do I hate science and math and and alot of other subjects. but the violin, something about the violin changes me, kinda makes me feel good. Ok, so I am just an average teenage girl. I have really bad eyesight though, -8. I wear contacts, and I've had glasses since age 6. The first time this has happened was at a really young age. Maybe around 7 or 8. As i get older this happens more and more frequently. I have tried many times to tell people about this, but no one believes me. People say this doesn't ever happen to them. So here's what happens: I am having a normal day, or normal conversation. This usually takes place in some kind of vehicle when the sun is out. The sun suddenly hits me, and for about a second every thing goes black and I lose my train of thought. Like it stuns me? Then I forget what I was previously talking about, and it feels like I have been in a black tunnel for the longest time. It's crazy! This usually happens a few times a month. Some people say it's "sun hypnosis".. but i don't get it? Why is this happening to me? Thanks so much! XOXO moreResolved Question: Vampires, my version for a book I am writing. Please review?
Hey :} So sorry to post this twice but I need more reviews before I stick to this or any idea. I don't want to be hasty. Please review? I need opinions on my idea for vampires for my book. I'm trying to stick to the traditional vampires as much as possible. Sorry for the length but I am trying to describe my version of vampires. So, isn't more detail good so you understand? A vampire is a undead creature who's soul died when they did, making them now soulless. They are naturally evil, wild because of their lack of soul but this can vary. Traits from their human lives carry over to their vampire selves and are heightened. Vampires were first created around the time man first walked the earth. The first was a demon with traits similar to those of a vampire. He shared his blood with humans who sought eternal life and beauty, and thus created vampires. At first a halfbreed since they were, and still are tainted with humanity since they were once human. They are beautiful in appearance. Their beauty is what attracts their prey to them. They are also around three to five times stronger/ faster then they were in their human life. Have cat like agility. Heightened sences such as hearing and sight. And endurance. These stats grow as they live longer, more experiance and training. Older vampires are around 10-20 times stronger/ faster then your average vampire. And are much more experianced and powerful. Have fangs. In the past the fangs were always there, apart of their teeth. Now their fangs are hidden under their gums, giving their teeth a human appearance. At will the fangs come out, though when emotions are at high they come out. Their eyes change after death as well. Colors vary between a dark maroon red/ brown color. Amber yellow. Bright silvery blue/ green. And have a faint glossy look to them. The color of the eyes depends on what the original color was closer too. To become a vampire you must drink vampire blood then die with the vampires blood in your system. The vampire will then rise between two to eight days and be a newborn. Newborn vampires are in a frenzy usually. Since this vampire life is new to them and the blood craving is strong they are exicted, eager, and very energized. They hunger for blood almost as soon as they've drained a body. They constantly need a watcher, their sire to train them. A sire and his childe have a mental link almost. The childe has no will of its own if the sire commands something, they have to obey. A sire can "feel" out their childes presence. This link is broken if the sire is killed. If the human is not killed then the blood gives them a sort of high. A maddening, joyful experiance. Being bit to humans varys. All feel pain, but some enjoy the experiance of being bit. Vampires require little blood from a human to survive, but they still drain a body dry just because they enjoy the kill. To kill you must either expose to sunlight, burn with fire, or stake/ decapitate. A vampire must be staked through the heart, but not any type of stakes work. You need a stake from a thorn tree. Blackthorn, White thorn, Hawthorn, ect. This imobolizes them, wrinkling their body, and in appearance kills them. But to permanently kill a vampire you must decapitate it then burn and scatter the ashes. If the ashes are not scattered a vampire will ressurect itself from the ashes over time, or another vampire will ressurect them. Other means of wounding only momentarily distract. Items made out of the purest silver burn them, as well as crosses. Holywater is like acid to them. Garlic does not burn, but it does irritate and leave a annoying tingle, like a itch that you cannot scratch. Enchanted/ cursed objects can also burn. Sunlight burns them, they cannot walk in sunlight or they will die. They have no reflection in mirror for they have no soul, their is nothing to reflect. If a vampire has enough mental power, they can hypnotize victems, compel them. Mind control. As one lives longer and with training, this ability becomes easier. Strong minds require more concentration. Victems a vampire has bitten are easy to control requiring little to no effort from the vampire. This power works on animals too. Vampires of certain bloodlines can command and shapeshift into animals since they have a relation with nature. It is a ability that is rare for these bloodlines are most extinct.
