moreResolved Question: Atheists and religious believers this is why conversion is hard?
Your subconscious brain is where you hold your beliefs, attitude, habits, and perceptions. Existing beliefs and habits will overtake your conscious willpower almost every time. If you understand how the subconscious mind works, you can then also understand how to start a subconscious mind reprogramming regimen. You can change your habits and beliefs and get them working for you instead of against you. You can develop a habit of having a positive attitude, a habit of exercising and eating healthy, or a habit of earning more and more money. Any success habit you want can be developed, and once it’s properly in place, your success is virtually guaranteed.
This reprogramming process involves two basic steps.
1.Use your conscious mind to choose your goals. What do you want to achieve? What beliefs do you want to have? What do you want to have a positive attitude about? What habits do you want to install?
2.Repeatedly impress these goals onto your subconscious mind using affirmations, meditation, visualisation, and hypnosis.
This repetition must be done daily for at least 30 days. Research has repeatedly confirmed that it takes about 30 days to install a new belief or habit. If you miss a day, you must start your count over at day 1. Consistency is one of the key factors in your subconscious mind reprogramming success.
So do you see why it is so hard to convert each other and how pointless it can be, However everything you read on here y/a is going into your subconscious and you will start to think differentially so be careful.
Stop trying to exert your willpower over your subconscious brain. Instead, work with your subconscious to affect change. Install new beliefs and habits and put your positive attitude and success on autopilot. Hard effort now means no effort later!

moreVoting Question: Can a person's body react against and have negative side affects from long term hypnotism?
I've been doing a self hypnosis weight loss tape for the past couple of weeks. The tape takes you through the steps to get into the relaxed state and then talks about eating less and how good it feels to lose weight and even goes into some situations like shopping for food. While I do notice that I eat less and eat better, I also feel really depressed and it seems like my body aches in my joints. Granted I realize that my body could be adjusting to the change in diet but I also wonder if for some reason my subconscious might be "fighting back" for lack of a better term. That maybe there is a deeper coping method with the food and my mind doesn't really want to deal with it. Does that make sense?
moreResolved Question: Is there any way to instantly hypnotize yourself?
I'm going through a bit of a psychological crisis right now. I have been for the last few months, but I don't feel like I can take it anymore and really need some help.
I know that the problem is in my subconscious mind. If I could only find a way to root it out I think I could fix it. Is there any way I can put myself under a deep state of hypnosis quickly and still be able to give myself effective suggestions? I've practiced self hypnosis before, but I can't get into a deep enough state and my suggestions are not very effective. If this doesn't work, I'm going to have to see a psychologist, but I would rather not if I could solve this myself soon. I might do both, but it would be nice to establish some peace right now and get these thoughts out of my head.
Please help. Thank you.
moreResolved Question: Is hypnosis and meditation the same thing?
If I meditate for 1 hour straight and repeat suggestions, would I get the same effect as a hypnosis session? I mean, I hear some hypnotherapists saying that Hypnosis is "different", but all has the same goal right? Bypassing to the Subconscious. I want to dedicate about 45 minutes a day on meditation with suggestions
moreResolved Question: Ramadan: What is the subconscious mind and how powerful is it?
I was wondering what Islam's perspective of this is. I have heard of people "tapping" into their subconscious mind, either through hypnosis, or various other ways. Our subconscious mind control many aspects of our bodies and way of thinking including phobias, weight gain/loss, fears, beliefs etc.
When people in Islam are said to have reached a high level of iman, or the highest level of spirituality, is this connecting with your subconscious mind? In that case, how do you know if indeed you have connected with your subconscious mind or not?
What's your opinions on this?
Thanks.

please explain and describe what may happen to the nerves in a childs brain and how emotional abuse, and the shock or "trauma" associated during a child's psychological development can cause the nerves in a child's brain to not develop or extend rightfully or the "bottling up" of nervous energy in th subconscious area of brain?
and what has been psychology's ideas about how this is curable or not , how it can worsen with age, etc if these" bottled up", disordered nervous energy is never rechanneled properly again in brain , such as in the idea of "catharsis"? or is the idea of "age regression" , of a person "letting go" in order to allow a "hypnotist to help them "piece together" a disordered memory perhaps is MORE these days thought of as a "cure" and why for that? when became more accepted this theory as well?

moreResolved Question: If the scientific method fails, what then?
1) a phenomenon X happens in a town. It is viewed multiple times, at various times of the day and night, and in various locales, by
hundreds of people, throughout the town. All witnesses are given polygraphs and medical, physical, and psychological tests. All of these indicate that none was found to be lying, as far as the polygraph could tell. None had any conditions that would cause hallucination, hypnosis
or delusion. The witnesses vary demographically, proportional to and consistent with the population of the nation as a whole. No scientific or logical processes can either prove or discount X. Aside from either saying they don't know, or claiming its a mass subconscious lie, what would the explanation, or the response by skeptics. FIll in the blank for X if needed, such as the townsfolk all saw the ghost of a confederate soldier walking down main street. Any thoughts? So what you are saying is this could not possibly happen. " what can't be explained by science can't be real " sheesh, arrogance of a blinding extent. Fare thee well.Did I straw man myself? I didn't know that was possible, and it certainly doesn't fit the definition on the link you gave, unless I am my own opposition. This doesn't seem likely, since I am in support of my own position.
moreResolved Question: Are we aware or not this time?
Are we aware when we meditate? If the conscious mind is busy, then it is turned off or what?If I concentrate on my breath or count to 100 (one hundred) then my mind is busy doing that. And then what is really hypnosis? The patient must be put to a trance. It has to be induced slowly. We have to put him in a state when the subconscious is directly accessible. That means he is unaware if he is manipulable. So,if I meditate I am hyper aware??
moreResolved Question: Any good books on visualization.?
Im wanting to learn visualization, the kinds taught in certain forms of meditation and just visualization in general. I wonder though, if with learning visualization, is it like you can literally see things like if you were vividly dreaming, only awake. And can you decide what it is that you see and experience or is it just random? I mainly wanted to see what the meditation that uses visualization is called because I plan on using this to help find inner peace with myself. Also I heard that there is a way to more or less make your subconscious mind into a figure and have a conversation with it and tell it what you want to change. Which I guess can be described as a form of hypnosis. Anyways if anyone can tell me of any good books that would help me learn this I would appreciate it. Thanks.
moreVoting Question: Why do I have a problem with "time"?
I've had this most of my life.Is this what psychologists call "timelessness thinking"? (I think there is such a term or something similar to it). It boils down to this: ask me when a certain event in the past happened and I would have a hard time telling you when. If it was five months ago, I might say 3 months ago. If it was 10 years ago, I might say 7 (BTW, it's not always a difference of 3 units of whatever time period is in question, this is an example only.).
I think (but not sure) what I believe to be the correct amount of elapsed time is usually LESS than the actual amount. Usually. It seems most people don't have as much of a hard time knowing fairly accurately how long ago something happened.
I don't think this "problem" is based upon any inherently "non-mainstream" beliefs I have about the phenomenon of time. I DO tend to believe, as some do, that the past, present and future all exist simultaneously, but I did NOT ALWAYS believe this. Yet, I HAVE always had this problem with being way off sometimes in terms of telling somebody, or myself, when a specific event happened in my life. I guess what I'm saying is that this "timelessness phenomenon" , for lack of a better description, is not informed by any pre-existing "eccentric" theory of mine about past, present and future.
One thing that has occurred to me is that it may be due to an inability on my part to compartmentalize my conscious and subconscious minds as easily as other people do. For example, I took a hypnotherapy certification course a number of years ago. The students in the class were hypnotized both by the instructor, in group sessions, and by one another, for instructional purposes. During group hypnotic sessions, the instructor toll me that I was the most suggestible, and therefore most easily hypnotized, member of the class. She said I went into the trance state more deeply than anybody else. Usually, at the end of a group hypnosis session, when the instructor told everybody to come out of the trance state, I had difficulty, also. It took me a long time. The instructor suggested the other students all make an effort to work with me, I'm assuming because she thought it would give them a shot of self-confidence in their hypnotic abilities since they would have little trouble hypnotizing me.
So, what I'm wondering is: could this time/chronology "issue" I have be perhaps due to the effect that my subconscious is more active during my normal waking state than is the norm? After all, in dreams, in which our subconscious is very active, we often don't experience the kind of chronologically linear type of time we normally experience when we're awake. Time can be a more relative and quirky phenomenon in dreams, jumping from past to present to future, or perhaps just encompassing all these chronological phenomena at the same time. What do you think could be underlying my idiosyncratic perception of time? And does anybody else out there have this? Did I just smoke too much pot when I was younger and alter some part of my brain which has to do with time perception? Honestly, I was never a BIG pot head, but I DID use to have some intense experiences with pot, during which I would actually hallucinate, etc. That's why I never smoked it too much and not at all, anymore. Any help with this??? (Sorry it's such a LONG question, BTW...I get that way with topics such as these)
moreResolved Question: Hypnosis cds-listen to the hypnotist or?
Hi,
Basically i was wondering when you listen to a hypnosis cd, do you really need to listen to the hypnotist or is it better to simply let yourself think and imagine about anything (therefore occupying the conscious mind) and thus allowing the subconscious to hear the hypnotist?

moreResolved Question: How can I kill myself without pain?
Just don't answer me with look for help, you will be better soon and you will hurt your loved ones etc. I have asked for help and the stupid shrink is annoying me, that's all the outcome. I will be better soon- not really kept repeating that for 3 years, there was no single happy thing- downs after downs, despite being young, beautiful, slim body, very very intelligent with lots of talents, I don't have a relationship, I don't have a job, I don't have my own home or car, nothing. Just heard the outcome of my interview- they said I was brilliant, there was a test I passed very well too, and yet didn't offered me the job. This is some 6 months period I am looking for a job, coming after another 2 shitty jobs I've had and before them another 6 months job search that I've had- what do you say- nice string of shit isn't it... Im living with my mother who loves me that's why I would opt for something outside the house- I don't want her to find me, also I don't have a car- yes this is another thing I've never had, nor driving license. To those who say don't hurt your loved people- first I don't have to keep existing not to hurt them and to hurt myself by leading this miserable existence, and also somebody who feels shit cannot make their people happy can he/she? What can you ever give them from the shit you are in? Only shit. I have read self-help books telling you how you have to keep happy independently from what happens around you and I think you have to be mad to be able to do it after there's a shits- big and small ones, pored over you every day. I have tried listening to some fancy vibrations, hypnosis cd's, machine that talks to your subconscious while you sleep- repeats you that you are rich, happy, successful etc. So in essence you can't say I didn't try.
So please constructive suggestions on painless way to end this. If you are scared for your liability if you give me advice, please write directly to finestwinefood@yahoo.co.uk, I will delete your e-mail after reading it and clear my trash/bin folder as well don't worry, I told you I'm very intelligent- guaranteed! and nobody will be able to keep you responsible that you helped me, they won't be able to prove it. Thank you very much in advance, on the end of the day you will save somebody and help them- I know you feel differently about suicide (if you are alive so far you normally do) even disgusted or physically sick, but I don't, I feel like that about the life I've had so far, so think about it as making me a big favor.Tomb Rider I didn't post this here to announce it to everyone, they don't know me anyway, I posted it to ask for help, for more information on painless way out of this hell. The purpose of life I think is not to arrive safely to death one day, but to live life with passion and to the full which is not my case so far, all my efforts goes in vain, everything I try to do is like instantly destroyed by invisible hand. All my energy is drained out, even if I do things perfectly, perform perfectly and work it out, on the end it's just not happening, like that interview - I was just simply brilliant and they have admitted it there and then, yet the woman from the agency struggled to explain why I'm not getting the job- she did confirmed excellent feedback for my abilities.
moreResolved Question: How to perform self hypnosis?
I am interested in hypnosis and the power that the mind has over the body. I'm not trying to do some "lose weight, get over a fear, gain confidence" mumbo jumbo. I just want to be able to not only experience full mental and physical relaxation but also explore the subconscious.
moreResolved Question: I can't remember my hypnosis sessions. Am I asleep?
As I've been able to relax and delve into the subconscious more and more easily with practice, I have achieved very deep levels of hypnosis.
However, I generally do not remember my hypnosis sessions anymore. I started by not remembering about the last half of my sessions, and then always waking up as I started the count back up to full consciousness (I woke up at "I am now regaining consciousness" and "I am not fully alert" in my tapes).
Lately, though, I only remember maybe the first five minutes (out of 20-25) and then waking up what I estimate to be between maybe 15 seconds and 5 minutes after my tape ends! My last memories are extremely deep hypnosis and controlled visualization, and then my thoughts and visualizations get more jumpy and random - I generally see solutions to problems I missed during the day, and then I fade into nothingness.
What is going on?
Thanks for your help!* I meant to say "I am now fully alert" up there haha thanks again!

Please only answer if you know what you are talking about. :)
When you undergo induction into a hypnosis trance state in which a hypnotist feeds your mind verbal suggestions, does your conscious mind have to be "unaware" of the suggestions for them to get through to your subconscious? Or can they still get thru to your subconscious even if you are consciously aware of them?
Along these lines, can you "bounce" suggestions from being absorbed by your subconscious if your conscious "critical faculties" don't like or agree with the suggestions?EDIT: my second question also assumes that you are in a hypnotic trance -- can you filter out suggestions that you don't like while you are "put under"?

moreResolved Question: Is the memory of the moment of your birth gets saved in your subconscious?
I've heard about how the reason that we don't remember every single moment of our life is that our brain would just overwork if it would have had to process all this data
but on the other hand I've heard that the memory does not get lost completely but rather just moved to a different part of our mind which is the subconscious part of it
which in essence is suppose to explain why we only use 4-11% of the ability of our brain
if this is really so does it mean that the time that a persons spends in the womb and the very moment of her/his birth gets saved somewhere there in the subconscious mind?
Twenty three weeks (about 5.3 months) is said to be around the time that the fetus develops enough neurons to become conscious
so if the fetus becomes conscious at this point it means that it has the ability to store memory
and if it is true that all memory gets saved in the subconscious mind that means that the rest of the time that the fetus spends in the womb and the moment of it's birth does get saved
For the second part of the question - if a person for some reason would have a desire to extract theses memories out of his or her subconscious then what methods would be available for approaching the accomplishment of such a goal?
Is self-hypnosis trustworthy enough?
moreResolved Question: Do you think this can be true? Our body and psychology can be related?
I heard this kind of thing twice or thrice at diffferent places. On tv I once saw a woman giving tips to an overweight guy how to transform his thoughts that he is overweight
Hey, do you want to lose weight easily by doing nothing or get motivated to lose weight easily without even giving up half-way?
The key and answer to successfully do it is in Your Subconscious Mind.
The subconscious actually stores a multitude of memory patterns which will feed information to the conscious mind when activated. Data is never erased unless the subconscious mind gives that command.
For example, when you walk or drive to your destination, you do it automatically without being aware of it - that is your subconscious mind doing the whole process without your conscious mind.
The subconscious brain is very good at its job and works 24 hours a day on keeping us alive.
The subconscious controls and regulates involuntary functions of the body such as breathing, circulation, Metabolism, Digestion, hormone balance, etc.
So you may wonder.. how do you tweak or make your subconscious mind to lose weight easily? The answer is... Hypnosis!
Hypnosis is done by bypassing your conscious mind to your subconscious mind giving instructions and storing them successfully.
That is why people can quit smoking, feel extremely motivated, attain success easily, study easily and so on Successfully just after 1 session of hypnosis! Even faith-healing uses Hypnosis!
My friend tried hypnosis to lose weight. Initially, her weight was 198lbs and she lost 18.3lbs within 3-weeks! All by natural metabolism! And she never even change her diet but ate as normal!
The best thing about losing weight via metabolism is... it burns fat everywhere in your body equally! This makes your body look perfect in shape!
You will thank me because I can guarantee you Hypnosis Works! You can just let your natural metabolism be high and Lose Fat Doing NOTHING effectively and immediately or be motivated to stop binge eating and exercise regularly without pain or laziness

Is there any value, benefit in creative visualization methods such as the silva method, cosmic ordering or the secret or methods like self hypnosis or the Sedona Method? These are all basically just techniques that you can use to clearly visualize a goal in your mind, in a deeply relaxed and receptive state of mind to firmly implant in your subconscious mind that goal which is supposed to put your subconscious to work in order to make these things happen. Some believe that these sorts of practices help you harness the creative power of the universe while other feel that it just attunes your mind better so that you see opportunities and solutions that help you attain your goals easier. What do you think is it worth learning such a technique, what are your experiances with this sort of thing?

moreResolved Question: If u could change naturally your eye color what color would u like to have?
I have natural brown eyes and i love my eye color, but if i could change it naturally i would like blue-aqua eye color.
I read from forums that hypnosis and the power of the subconscious can make changes like this, i think it is cool, and many people have posted that they had changes, most brown eyes they became green even though they wanted blue.
Either way i think it is cool.Myth busters are not that good, i ve seen the ninja legents episode and i can tell u that they forgot the most important factor, and that is real situation in a war. Like when we have adrenaline rush, we can't have it in a test, but in real life even a grandma can lift a big truck to save her grandchild.
so i don;t think myth busters are so serious.
moreVoting Question: Books on Darren Brown style psychology?
I just watched the Darren Brown program on 4 and I was wondering if there are any good books, websites or movies on his sort of style of psychology. Preferably hypnosis and all the little subconscious triggers he uses.
I don't want a kind of dummies guide to hypnosis or anything I'd prefer to know about how it's done and what it can do rather than how to do it.
Thanks.

moreResolved Question: How can I access my subconscious mind?
I have been practicing self-hypnosis for the past few days in an attempt to tap into the subconscious part of my brain, but so far I have no idea whether or not I'm making progress.
How do you know for sure that you've breached into the subconscious part of the mind? Is there an easier way to do it?
When I'm self-hypnotizing, I usually just go into a trance-like, super relaxed state of almost falling asleep. Is that when you can tap into the subconscious?
Are there any sure fire ways to make it happen so that I will know for sure that I'm doing it right? Any suggestions? And please don't ask me why I'm doing this.I said SUBCONSCIOUS, not unconscious. Learn to read. And I wasn't asking whether or not it exists. It does exist. It's a proven fact. I was asking how I can distract my conscious mind in an attempt to breach the subconscious. If you don't have an appropriate answer, then just don't say anything.
moreVoting Question: Why am I so afraid of bugs? Especially the flying ones?
I am so freaking afraid of bugs. I literally flinch when I hear something that sounds like a bug if it's near me.
I mean, even when I'm cleaning my room, and my foot touches hair on the ground (I have long hair, and habit -- I just toss it on the ground, but I clean every day) -- anyways, when my foot touches hair on the ground, I freak out, and thing it's a bug. Even the tiny hairs on my fingers and toes.
I'm Italian, but it's not noticeably hairy -- it's just feels there, even though you can hardly see it -- and feeling it freaks me out, because I think it's a bug.
If I wasn't so afraid of bugs, I'd be outside more often, but because of this -- I hate this! It's like my own handicap!
I know they won't me, but I just -- *shudder* -- I wish I knew why I feel like this, and how I can overcome it.
PLEASE DON'T SAY HYPNOSIS OR PSYCHIATRIST.
Not only because I can't afford it, but because I don't believe in hypnosis, and I don't want anyone messing about with my subconscious. And Psychiatrist? Puh-lease.
So any ideas? *sheepish*Betty, thanks for responding, but the weird thing is -- I can't even kill the bugs! I can't bring myself to kill a bug, let alone trap it in a jar. If there's a bug in my room, I ask my mom or my brothers to get it out.
Also, a long, long time ago, I saw a scene (a long, long, long time ago) where a guy was eating, and hallucinating that bugs were all over the food... and he was STILL eating it! *shudders violently*
moreResolved Question: Does the Think & Lose weight loss program really work?
The Think & Lose program says: listen to a tape once and your subconscious mind will no longer crave sugary, unhealthy foods, but will crave healthy foods instead, and you'll feel full and satisfied halfway through a meal you would normally finish. This allows you to lose pounds of excess weight and keep it off for good. I was wondering if this was really a scam or if this really does help you using hypnosis. I would prefer answers from those who've tried the product, but all help is welcome.
moreResolved Question: how long should it take for my self hypnosis tape to work?
this is a custom track for me. it is 40 minutes long. it has a suggestion repeated 80 times on the track. i must say when i tested the induction it worked perfectly, but when the suggestions came up i woke up. i think it was because i recorded that at a different time, and you can tell it was edited in.
anyways it is 40 minutes long. today is my off day and really am motivated to get this thing started. it is 8 am right now. i usually sleep at 10 pm.
i have 14 hours to do w/e, and I was thinking since i have no plans today, i should do my self hypnosis tape.
the plan is to do 7 sessions of my self hypnosis tape every 2 hours and also have a 20 minute visualization sessions (imagining that i have my desired goal)
7 sessions in a day seems a lot, but i got the whole day off and don't mind at all.
some say you have to play your self-hypnosis tape for 21 days till it has any effect, why though? considering if you really are in a hypnotic state your subconscious will hear what you say fine. i hope you guys understand what i mean.
so you guys think it would take effect today after my 7 sessions and 20 minute visualization?
thanks
moreResolved Question: does anyone know anything about subliminal programming for your mind?
heard of the subliminal power software for your computer? it very quickly flashes positive affirmations on your computer screen, while you go about your work. apparently, the subconscious mind registers them and starts re-programming itself. i've used hypnosis cds and they do seem to work after using them regularly. recently, i started using subliminal cds, where you hear relaxing music, but in the background are the affirmations etc. any comments on any of this is appreciated.
moreResolved Question: Literary Analysis of this poem welcomed. Actually, please?
“Escaping Explicit Encumbrances”
His haunting ghost,
Rested in the shadows of vagabond ghouls,
The spirit of restlessness invaded my sleep,
A nightmare of alternate reality,
Being born inside my subconscious dreams.
The balanced scale,
Tips with the weight of gaseous liquidity,
Desires run rampant on perceivable surrealism's,
The philosophy of the ghost an invasive taboo,
My heart beat turned to ash against its annealed flame.
An esoteric mannerism,
The maneuverability of twinkling sky,
He painted a drying mountain with inorganic hue,
Acceptance of radical Pantheism suffocates,
Parable driven doctrines of limited explanation.
A beard of forest,
Was worn upon his dynamic face,
Entanglement of creatures oblivious inhabitants,
Our lord was choking away the stagiest dogma,
And with his hands procession wound.
O, his brilliance,
Prevalent amongst ballistic ideology,
Pure and ethereal beauty void of chemical enhance,
Photography absent from the enchanted frame,
Poignancy erased from the equivocated soul.
Yes, his haunting ghost,
Set free the frozen binds I wore,
An empty lake filled with buoyant life,
His symbolic eyes cast upon me with approval,
The ghost of my father corrupted my hypnosis. The question was...
The drying mountain was representative of depraved spirituality. The mountain is actually volcanic, or was at one point.

moreResolved Question: Does Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis to Find Lost Objects Work? Please answer I need some answers!?
I'm 14 and a few years ago I lost something very special to me. I've tried everything to get some answers about how I lost it, but I have just forgotten it. but I did some research and found out that the memories area actually stored in my subconscious memory permanently and that with hypnosis I may possibly be able to recover those memories. I have researched on google about success stories but only a couple show up. I was wondering if anyone on here has tried it or knows someone who has tried it. Was it successful? I'm desperate at this point to find some answers so that I may move on. Please share your success stories. Oh and how can I bring this up to my parents without them thinking that I'm joking or crazy. Also how much would this possibly cost. I have a job but I don't exactly know the price of this.
