Stewart noted that hypnosis does not involve a process of simply following instructions. Rather, it is an actual change in the perception of the brain as demonstrated by brain tests while people are undergoing hypnosis.

I heard this kind of thing twice or thrice at diffferent places. On tv I once saw a woman giving tips to an overweight guy how to transform his thoughts that he is overweight
Hey, do you want to lose weight easily by doing nothing or get motivated to lose weight easily without even giving up half-way?
The key and answer to successfully do it is in Your Subconscious Mind.
The subconscious actually stores a multitude of memory patterns which will feed information to the conscious mind when activated. Data is never erased unless the subconscious mind gives that command.
For example, when you walk or drive to your destination, you do it automatically without being aware of it - that is your subconscious mind doing the whole process without your conscious mind.
The subconscious brain is very good at its job and works 24 hours a day on keeping us alive.
The subconscious controls and regulates involuntary functions of the body such as breathing, circulation, Metabolism, Digestion, hormone balance, etc.
So you may wonder.. how do you tweak or make your subconscious mind to lose weight easily? The answer is... Hypnosis!
Hypnosis is done by bypassing your conscious mind to your subconscious mind giving instructions and storing them successfully.
That is why people can quit smoking, feel extremely motivated, attain success easily, study easily and so on Successfully just after 1 session of hypnosis! Even faith-healing uses Hypnosis!
My friend tried hypnosis to lose weight. Initially, her weight was 198lbs and she lost 18.3lbs within 3-weeks! All by natural metabolism! And she never even change her diet but ate as normal!
The best thing about losing weight via metabolism is... it burns fat everywhere in your body equally! This makes your body look perfect in shape!
You will thank me because I can guarantee you Hypnosis Works! You can just let your natural metabolism be high and Lose Fat Doing NOTHING effectively and immediately or be motivated to stop binge eating and exercise regularly without pain or laziness

moreResolved Question: Any Buddhist's with some advice on getting started?
I have been an atheist for about 10 years now and have started to come to the conclusion that conventional religion and spirituality may not serve a purpose as an actual explanation for the universe, it does however provide something that we as a species seek out intrinsically. I can't imagine what other reason could there be for it's pervasiveness in every culture throughout history?
Now that I'm older and free of the indoctrinated dogma I was born into when I was younger, I think it is possible to take a functional approach to spirituality. For me it's unlikely that this could be Christianity, Islam, or any of the more main stream spirituality. I'm not seeking rules so much as an inner peace, silly as the feels to say.
I have liked much of what I've heard of Buddhism. While I found the notion of reincarnation challenging to accept initially, I was encouraged when I heard that not all sects teach that notion. Not only that but, in a way the notion in physics that energy cannot be destroyed could be a form of reincarnation in and of itself. The electrical energy in my brain and body. Etc.
ANYway I've downloaded numerous texts and audio books (buddhism for beginners) but have hit a couple of stumbling blocks right out of the gates. First is how so much of what I have heard so far just strikes me as simple Altruism. "The Path of Compassion" - "The Path of Generosity." These concepts are functional to being a good person. Is this supposed to be a revelation to me?
The second this bias I've discovered to some of the various "Personalities" that this seems to attract. A number of the audio books I've tried sound like they're being read by new-age hippy self-hypnosis guru's. Slow, deep voices trying to get you to relax. It reeks of in-authenticity to me. I'd rather have a stand up comic giving me the low down than these people.
Isn't there a good place to start for simple down to earth instruction that speaks to my intellect rather than this squishy hippy-dippy stuff?

moreResolved Question: The Pill and break-out bleeding and endometriosis...?
So, here are my questions:
* what is break-out bleeding, and does having it mean I need a much stronger Pill? Or does it go away eventually?
* what do you other women do when you get break-out bleeding? Do you stop taking the pill for a few days? Should I stop taking the active pills for 2 or 3 days (and not 4 like my doctor suggested).
* how do you deal with endo pain? I use self-hypnosis for pain management, but I'm worried it is continuing to do me damage.
Here's my story.
I was on Minipill last year for about 6 months, taking it continuously (without taking the sugar pills) to skip periods because I have endometriosis and the pain was getting so bad I couldn't leave the house for 3 days, and my period could last up to 11 days. The minipill didn't work for me - I was having break-out bleeding for up to 21 days at a time (it was like a light period, not just a bit of staining like the doctor said it would be) and although I didn't have pain, who wants unpredictable light periods for 3 weeks at a time?
A couple of months ago the doctor gave me a stronger Pill (a generic brand called Levlen with 150 micrograms of Levonorgestrel and 30 micrograms of Ethinyloestradiol). Her instructions were to take it until I had break-out bleeding and then go off it for 4 days, then start taking the active pills again. Something about 're-setting' the cycle.
Problem is, after 40 days I got break-out bleeding (a light stain really) so I stopped taking the active pills for the 4 days and I got a period just as painful as ever, and after 3 days of re-commencing the active pills I've still got my period (although it is lightening, but the pain is still hanging around).
What is the point of taking the Pill to avoid periods and then have them anyway?
I'm getting sick of it! I'm at the point where the doctor is suggesting sugery, but she isn't very communicative and I plan to switch clinics, so I don't want to have to go back to a doctor until I've taken the 12 months worth of prescription.
I'm also sick of being told that it is 'within the parameters' of what women experience and she has women patients who have worse symptoms that me! This has been going on for 5 years now.
Thanks, girlfriends!
moreVoting Question: Are You Super-Naturally Gifted & In What Way?
"The things I'm about to share with you are 100% true, and if you feel like performing this type of method, only do it if you are ready for any consequences that might come your way and under your own risk."
First off, I want you take a few deep breaths and just relax, fill your physical body with energy, focus on the screen and let's begin...
I have been studying very hard recently to hypnotize myself and other people around me, including strangers... I have been reading ancient myths and legends about levitation too, I had tried to hypnotize myself today and I had thought there was no way it's possible to do, it's all just tricks... and all of a sudden I came across this site (sorry but I can't share the link for personal reasons and for your safety) about all forms of hypnosis and levitation, and I have to say I was stunned! I started to follow these instructions, as I closed my eyes, I had fallen into a deep trance and when I had opened my eyes again, it felt like they were only closed for a second but I had looked at the time on my clock before I started the hypno, and made sure I kept track of time... WHEN I OPENED MY EYES, 20 MINS HAD GONE BY AND I WOKE UP FROM THIS TRANCE CONFUSED, EMOTIONALLY UPSET, SCARED AND WITH A MASSIVE HEAD-ACHE!
This is not a joke, I've been doing this for hours now, and it felt like only minutes had gone by, this was an incredibly stupid idea to do in the first place as I had not gotten any decent sleep the night before so it felt like I was about to collapse once I had woken from the trance-like state of mind. But, yes I do believe I have a gift, one thing's for sure, I'm not crazy and this ain't no prank! I feel really in touch with the world now, for once in my life I get the bigger picture...
"LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY OUT OF THE ORDINARY POWERS ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHAT ARE THEY? WHAT CAN YOU DO?"
Take care guys, thanks for reading, I know it was long but I had to get my thoughts out in the open.
moreResolved Question: I'm feeling really weird from this self hypnosis video
Ok. I was watching this self hypnosis video last night (Aug 06) on youtube that I stumbled upon. It was awkward, the whole point of the video was to make you relax, so I watched it on my bed on my phone. I followed the instructions like it said and soon I became in a state of trance. When the video finally told me to snap out I did, and I felt relaxed. The thing is though, I can't seem to get out of this relaxation state. I feel very awkward, like I feel mostly lazy and I feel that I dont want to do most of the activities I usually want to do. Sure I'm relaxed, but at what cost? Something deep down inside of me tells me this isn't natural, sort of like being brain washed, while another, larger part tells me to ignore it. Please help, I just want to stop feeling this way. The video is right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rV00Q_8kYk . I dont recommend you watch it with the intent of getting results

moreResolved Question: Has anyone else experimented with self-hypnosis?
I have a couple of psychiatric self-hypnosis tapes and mp3's that are meant to hypnotise. The tracks usually consist of a hypnotherapist who gives specific instructions to achieve the suggested state of hypnosis. From my own experience, most of them can end up successful that is if you are following the specific instructions given.
I can vividly remember one experience where I knew I was hypnotized for sure and had no control over my body but only controlled by the Dr. giving the specific tasks.
Very interesting experience and topic. Also, is it worth it to earn a Hypnotherapist Certificate? Is it really that essental or important to a major in Psychology or someone who intends to become a Psychology.
Free free to post personal experiences and advice. Thanks!
