i used to spend hours searching for porn online to the point where I missed out a chuck of my young adult days . I am in still in my early 20's but my need for porn is waning. I doesn't feel or evoke the same emotional/sexual response to me anymore. I think porn is boring, or I've gotten bored of porn who knows . It all started innocently-- curiosity and teenage hormones. The 4th amendment says, " The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." The high school in our town says that, "Any vehicle, including its compartments and content, may be subject to search and seizure by school officials and/ or law enforcement personnel while on school property." They say this is in accordance with NJ law but since the Constitution is above state law, is it possible that this is in fact Unconstitutional because they are saying they can search you without a warrant and the 4th amendment states that you clearly need a warrant. thanks more

Open Question: Loser is stalking me on Yahoo! Answers?

So I suffer from mild social anxiety. I make a thread last night about how I have low self-esteem and don't even know what I look like, and I get a handful of decent answers. Then this idiot comes along, obviously trolling, telling me that I look drunk, gay, etc in each of my pictures, respectively. I add a note at the bottom of the question, saying something along the lines of "Obvious troll is obvious. Yeah. Try harder". He comes back a few minutes later and tells me to stop throwing a "hissy fit". All I did then was say that several sentences a hissy fit does not make. Also mentioned that he should take his narcissism elsewhere, as clearly that was what motivated him to check back in on my question to see if I had emotionally responded to him. I go to sleep, not giving the loser any more thought. But when I wake up in the morning, I see an e-mail notification saying that, "_____ has added you as a contact on Yahoo! Answers". Obviously, "______" is the gay who was trying to insult me the other night, so I rather promptly guess that he was trying to get a look at my profile so he could view my other active questions. Turns out that I was right. I look at the only two questions I have active, and he's used a different account to try and troll both of them. I'd have been insulted, but it was disgustingly obvious that it was the same person as the night before - I have my Questions and Answers set to private, and my username is common enough that nobody should be able to find two of my questions by doing a simple search. So I block both the original account and the new troll account, using the "Report Abuse" option on both of them. Nothing has happened yet, and in the last few hours, I've received two or three more "Contact List" adds from brand-new accounts. I know it's the same guy, because a brand-new user isn't going to just randomly add me for no reason at all. All the accounts are created on the same day, no questions, no answers. This loser is trying to troll all of my questions that I ask. I put in a suggestion on the Yahoo! Answers suggestion board saying that there should be a security option to have to confirm contacts before they can view your profile option. But seeing as I made that only a few hours ago, nothing has happened. In the meantime, is there any way that I can report this DB for harassing me? more

Open Question: Can a sheriff really let me go for having illegal pills and charge me if I do not call him with information?

I was walking into a friends house and two sheriffs were at the bottom door of this apartment complex looking for someone. They said I looked like the suspect and made me give them my license and sit down. They ran my name and found out that I wasn't him and also had no warrants. They continued to queston me and searched my pockets and found 3 adderal pills that I didnt have a prescription for. The Sheriff said that he wasn't going to charge me that day and I needed to contact him in three days or sooner with informaton about the person they were looking for or he was going to send a court notice in the mail and charge me for possession if I did not help him with information, and exspecially if I didnt call him to at least tell him I tried. Sometimes I encounter the following question: I do not consider myself intellectually, but I'm struggling to understand more each day "things of life", but always noticed that intellectuals are generally more "disgusted" with the knowledge that life may it is meaningless, at least until we find one. I'm reading Nietzsche, and I have been very understanding of his philosophy is that we are a bridge to the "superman" and that to attain the status of "superior man" suffering is necessary. He made an interesting analogy: "When we lost the other one organ begins to work by himself and by others, so it evolves, the same applies to the genius." That is, the suffering would be a fuel for genius, but I see that people seem mystical to be happy, maybe they are being duped, but are deceptively happy. Can we achieve happiness in intellectual or happiness has nothing to do with their conception of life? Other: Does the person who gives up his search for the intelligentsia might be happy in the world of "mere mortals" who follow the herd? As Einstein said: "All that expands the mind will never return to its original state." I hope I've expressed myself right. more

Sometimes it just seems like no matter how hard I try, nothing I do changes anything. Sometimes I just feel like I have this destiny that I'm never going to be successful and that nothing I do will change that. I have so many hopes and dreams but lately they just seem like they've left me in the dust and now they're billions of miles in the distance. I don't ever give up but sometimes I feel so discouraged that I just wanna throw my hands up. I'm such a loser, I'm 31 and I've never had a decent job or a real career in my life, and it makes me feel so inadequate. Ever since I graduated from college I've had a series of crappy jobs and now I can't even get a crappy job! I worked my way through school and had to pay for it myself because my parents were fighting a lot and eventually divorced, and my mom was sick :'(. I know I sound like I'm feeling sorry for myself, but I feel like I deserve good things and I'm wondering if going to college was a waste of my time and money. I want to teach English as a Foreign Language abroad. I want to go to Mexico to teach EFL... please don't try to talk me out of it, because I know what I'm doing, I've done research and I know the situation in Mexico and I know my own heart, and my heart is just set on it. I studied abroad in Mexico when I was in college and still have loads of friends there. You hear bad stuff about Mexico but a lot of it is taken way out of proportion; my friends down there say that many towns are just as safe if not safer than the US. So, I have my heart set on teaching English abroad, especially Mexico. I want to very badly. I have a TEFL certificate and a CV but the problem is that I still don't have a job lined up and I'm going to have to go search in person. The problem is, I need to work here in the USA and save some more money before I can do that. I have some savings but not enough. So, I've been looking for a job- ANY job- to save that money. I put up notices and ads on Craigslist offering my services as a Spanish tutor (I speak Spanish fluently), go to job fairs, apply on Snagajob, NOTHING. I'm beginning to feel that I'll never have a job again for the rest of my life, let alone a career! I'm trapped in the States until I can work and save the $$$ I need, but it's just not working out for me. I'm 31 and I've never had a career in my life and feel like such a LOSER =( I don't have anyone I can talk to about it, my parents are divorced and dad is still alive but not in my life, my mom's life is hard enough, no siblings I can go to for help and I don't wanna tell my friends because I'm supposed to be the strong one. Please don't tell me not to go to Mexico because it's my dream to teach English in another country because I don't wanna be in the States now, I want to travel to another country and start a new life and have adventures. I don't wanna stay in one place and have an ordinary life because I would be so miserable. I really, really want this so much that I need it. I don't wanna just bite the bullet and take some job that sucks and just put up with life. I don't belong here; I tried to readjust to US culture and couldn't. I don't wanna live in the states the rest of my life. I want to go to Spain really badly, but it's almost impossible for Americans to get work permits. I did research and apparently there are a few loopholes (you can work on a student visa!), I haven't given up on Spain and I'll go there someday. But, I'm wanted and needed in Mexico. So I went to a university hundreds of miles away from where I live. I have graduated this year, and as my home computer was slow and awkward, I decided to go to my local university and use there computers, after asking someone at their reception to do some job searching, as I obviously couldn't use the computers at my university. And so that is what I did, for about two weeks. Anyways, today a guy came up to me and said "hi, what are you doing?". Immediately I thought he was looking for someone else and I said "I think you've got the wrong person, I haven't arranged an appointment?" To which he said "Right, its been reported that you've been here for a number of days now, what are you doing?" I explained myself "I'm a student at X university and I’m using your computers provided by the careers service to do some job searching" He then looked at my notes on the desk and the websites on my screen with a suspicious look, and without my permission I might add. He then said "You've been reported as using a memory card, are you downloading illegal software, stealing university documents". By this point I was stunned, I showed him my memory card and I said "I’m just using my memory card for writing my CV's and Covering Letters, I didn’t know I was doing anything wrong? Would you like me to take it out" He said "I need to have a look on that", he then tuck the mouse, opened my memory card and looked at my files with a suspicious look, and again without my permission, but i decided to fully co-operate. All that was on there was Microsoft word documents holding my various tailor made CV’s. He then said "Well, its been reported" and then left. Did that mean he had finished the conversation? I thought he might come back, I suddenly started thinking I’m in trouble. I then began to notice members of staff looking at me a lot as they walked past. I stayed there trying to do my job searching, but I was distracted. I kept thinking “am I doing something wrong?”, "It's been reported", to whom I wondered. And when he said I’ve been reported as using a memory card, have people been spying on me? I decided it would be best to leave and so I did, I won’t be returning tomorrow. When i was a christian i tried so much not to sin, and i felt hopeless and weak for some reason. Everything that made me "doubt" scared me, but i kept searching. I figured something. There have been so many religions made through out all history, and it seems like right now christianity is just a fad, if that's the best way to explain it. Before people worshiped the sun god, and the gods on mt olympian, and too many things contradicted Christianity. I left and i felt like a new person. Open Question: This is The Scar of My Life?

I’m still angry with my mother because when I mentioned all of this to her she made it sound as if it was my fault, but now I know she is only saying it because she is angry with herself for not believing me in the first place. I can see in her actions that she feels guilty and tries being nice, but I want her to apologize to me and admit she did wrong. I know she will do it in time. I will have to try and work with her - it’s difficult to do, but I will do my best. It is perhaps not my mother’s fault that molestation happened to me, nor is it my grandparent’s fault either, but I do blame them for not doing anything when I mentioned that Bob sexually abused me, because if they had acted then, I would have opened up about the others. Currently, I’m doing some recovery of my own by reading self-help books and talking to people about my issues. I’m learning a lot more about myself so I feel good. I am also a codependent person. I will talk more about codependency later on in my other articles. The main reason why I wrote this article is because I want to meet and talk to other women who have been molested. I would like to know if they are aware of the effects of molestation in their lives. I would just want to know how you are dealing with your issues, and if they are similar to mine or different. Then perhaps we can help each other with the issues. I know I am not the only one going through this. In our country, many of us hear about molestation of children, but how many of us know the effects it has when the child gets older? I’ve been searching for professional help here in Belize and so far I haven’t found a person who specifically deals with sexual abuse survivors. We have a counselor who deals with family issues and Aids/HIV victims. Also, we have a counselor who deals with relationships and with women who have been battered by their men, but I’m searching for someone who is trained to help me in the area of child sexual abuse. If you know of someone please contact me. Children who have been molested will probably grow up to have similar issues as me. So if we would have someone trained to help them it would be wonderful. But what about us adults who have been molested? We are still affected because we haven’t dealt with our issues. I want to deal with my issues because I want better for my life. God has done so much for me; he made me survive my past, but he will only do so much for me. I have to do my own part to make it complete. So far I have been working on my issues one day at a time because it is a slow process of recovery. It’s not easy, but I am trying my best. I want to hear from other survivors. So...I'm a terrible writer. My terrible paper: The news article “How a Blind Teen ‘Sees’ With Sound” relates to the book The Curious Incident of the dog in the night-time in various ways. Christopher and the boy from the article, Ben Underwood, both want to be independent and not doubted. They both strive to have they’re abilities used to their full potential. Both of them work hard to get what they want. One similarity is that Christopher and Ben both accomplished something unthinkable and amazing. Christopher found his mother, going through an extremely populated city. He made it into the math class he wanted, and he found out the murderer of Wellington all on his own. Ben can play video games, roller skate, play foosball and win in a pillow fight. Ben is blind, and has been since cancer took his sight at the age of two. Another similarity is that neither of them gave up. For most children, they might give up or be discouraged. Some might isolate themselves or become depressed, but instead they found a solution. For Christopher his teachers and principal said that he couldn’t go into the A-Level math. But instead of just giving up there, he took his test to prove he deserved to be in it. When Ben lost his sight, he worked to compensate for his disability. He learned how to use echolocation so he could be independent. Lastly, Christopher and Ben both had supportive parents. Ben’s mother never held him back, or was overprotective. When most mothers might shelter their children with that sort of disability, and that could harm their learning experience. She let him have independence and helped him have freedom. Christopher’s father was always behind him with any challenge he wanted to take on. He went to the school to plead Christopher’s case to the board when he wanted to take the math class. He fought for custody against his ex-wife, he searched night and day for Christopher when he ran away. Having supportive parents when you have a disability is important so that the child can grow and take care of themselves. Ben Underwood could accomplish much more than any person would think. Christopher Boone knows more than any one could tell. Both of them can have a free life now. It would be helpful if I could know whats bad I'll answer any question in return!...Thank you! more

So lately(as in the past few years...) I've been realizing that I can have crazy mood swings. I can be extremely happy, but have someone say one little thing that would make a normal person be like "Uhm... Thanks..." but it just makes me miserable. It wouldn't be a big thing with someone else, but to me it is. With my emotions, I only have extremes. I can be extremely happy, extremely upset, or extremely angry. There's not really an in between. I'm never a little happy, a little upset, or a little mad. It's always to a really extreme extent. I've also noticed that I've never really been quite like everyone else. I can function socially and all, but I have points where I think I'm worthless, no one likes me, and I'm not going anywhere in life. When all of my friends go somewhere and I don't, even if it's to a friend's house that I don't even know well, I'm in my room doing nothing all night. I feel like my boyfriend doesn't deserve all the crap that I put him through, even on good days. I can be very manipulative and I just feel like everything should go my way all the time. Could it be manic depression? Is it really likely or not really likely? I'm also a teenager with hormones, but I just feel like this could be something more. I've searched the internet and found that if it IS a medical condition, it's quite mild, but if something can be done about it, that would be fantastic. So what do you think? And so that is what I did, for about two weeks. Anyways, today a guy came up to me and said "hi, what are you doing?". Immediately I thought he was looking for someone else and I said "I think you've got the wrong person, I haven't arranged an appointment?" To which he said "Right, its been reported that you've been here for a number of days now, what are you doing?" I explained myself "I'm a student at a X university and I’m using your computers provided by the careers service to do some job searching" He then looked at my notes on the desk and the websites on my screen with a suspicious look, and without my permission I might add. He then said "You've been reported as using a memory card, are you downloading illegal software, stealing university documents". By this point I was stunned, I showed him my memory card and I said "I’m just using my memory card for writing my CV's and Covering Letters, I didn’t know I was doing anything wrong? Would you like me to take it out" He said "I need to have a look on that, he then tuck the mouse, opened my memory card and looked at my files with a suspicious look, and again without my permission. All that was on there was Microsoft word documents holding my various tailor made CV’s. He then said "Well, its been reported" and then left. Did that mean he had finished the conversation? I thought he might come back, I suddenly started thinking I’m in trouble. I then began to notice members of staff looking at me as they walked past. I stayed there trying to do my job searching, but I was distracted. I kept thinking “am I doing something wrong?”, "It's been reported, to whom?" I wondered. Open Question: I got an email for a phone interview, and don't know what job emailed me!?

I've been applying to jobs like crazy all summer. This morning I get an email that says "Thank you for your interest, can we set up a phone interview tomorrow?" It's signed by a woman I've never emailed. Some of the jobs I've applied to have had no name information for the contact person. I assume it's one of these jobs? How can I tactfully find out or ask? The email is a gmail address, and a cursory google search turned up nothing.I will say yes to the interview, but I'd like to know which position I'm interviewing for so I can prepare. Basically, I am making a page on which people can search listings for on-campus jobs at my university. I do have a person who can regularly update the information, so it boils down to this. I want to make a page which has a form as such: Title <br /> Job desc. <br /> Job location <br /> When my page-handler fills in these details, what I want to do is create a completely new page that displays information about only that particular job (I'm not talking about mysql entries, I actually want a new page to be created on which this particular job's details are visible to people who are browsing the site). If the page-handler fills in 4 such forms on one single day, then for those 4 jobs, I want 4 new pages to be created. If it's not possible is there any other alternative to this? Maybe I could modify my php script so that the page remains the same, but the corresponding entry in the database changes? I don't know, please help! more

Open Question: What happens if someone hit my car but the insurance company say they believe that I hit the car myself?

My car was parked perfectly in the parking lot. Someone hit it and drove away before I could discover. I took the car to insurance, and they believed that I hit something rather than someone hit me. They told me they found some concrete powder in the scratches. After searching through all my memories, I am absolutely sure I didn't hit the car. And I am the only person who has a key. What should I do now? The deductible for collision is 500. For hit and run is 200. I don't really mind the 300 difference, but I hate that the insurance people look at me like I am a liar. Open Question: Craigslist....."Su*ks"?

This is more of a statement than a question.....but how I wish someone with the knowledge would or could generate a service that is similar to Craigslist, but without the bulls*it that comes with Craigslist. I like that you have the option to flag someone that might be posting something that should be prohibited, but when your being flagged out of harassment, Craigslist doesn't give a crap, they could at least monitor their servers to see if it is one single person that is doing it and send them a warning and then block that person's ISP from their servers if reoccurring problems arise. Spamming is another joke.....you are not allowed to post ads in demographic area's that you don't live in.....wth.....you can search a ad in any community.....but you can't post a ad in other area's.....I sell arts and crafts items, and just recently my account was placed on hold for spamming? Because I posted ads in area's that I don't live in. It is such a joke.....if someone that lives in a different area than myself, unless they search my area for the items that I sell they wouldn't know about it.....Craigslist has so many flaws, what could be a great service has turned to sh*t.....maybe someday someone else will create a site that suits the needs of many and not to the ego's of others. Open Question: Like Poem about Sexuality?

I've written this poem about realising my sexuality and would love some feedback. Thanks! Untitled I see her, lean, cocky, All harsh lines and smudgy edges. Two dimensional. Through my tv screen she makes my breath catch in my throat. I watch, subconsciously waiting for her reappearance. I feel a pull I cannot explain. I go back, day after day. Her effect on me is below the surface, Nothing unusual since I am not fully aware of it. It begins to dawn on me as I watch her move arrogantly through ‘Vermont does L.A’ I begin to revaluate my previous feelings. My search from approval from that teacher. I think ‘no, that was more of a sibling thing. Wasn’t it?’ And with her the most famous face in Teenworld, I just really wanted to be her friend. Didn’t I? Wanted to wear her clothes, make her laugh, just like any friend. Right? Wanted to smell her hair, watch her do the dishes just to revel in her beauty. No. With slow, hesitant movements I realise. But it comes to me bit by bit, not in the spark of self knowledge I had expected. Now what? Ease. Calm. No self hatred here, the benefit of a liberal upbringing and a firmly queer brother. Just an impatience. An impatience to tell the world so I can start living as the person I have newly become But always been. Open Question: Are you hypersensitive to faces and voices?

I'm a hypersensitive person and it seems to me that I flinch at weird things. Certain types of people's faces make me flinch and I'm not sure why. It has nothing to do with being pretty or ugly. Just some kinds of faces I can't look at. Also, if someone distorts their expression to make a goofy face, I flinch at that too. Or if someone puts on a weird voice for whatever reason (maybe for ridicule or comic effect), I flinch at that too. I have no idea why I'm like this and I don't know anyone else who is. It just seems that some kinds of people make me flinch inwardly, even when there's nothing wrong with them. I've tried to research it online but I have no 'term' to search with. Open Question: T-Mobile My Touch Slide is Hanging up on phone calls...?

I have had the My Touch Slide sense fathers day and starting 3 days ago it has been hanging up on calls in 5 mins or less and tells me that I am in airplane mode and then the service comes right back in the same location and then I can call and receive calls again. I've been going out with this guy for 5 months & he has been so perfect until yesterday when he went on the internet on his blackberry to show me something, his history came up for a second by accident & i saw plentyoffish.com there. So today i made a profile & searched & his was the first that came up! On it, it says he is single & he was just online saying that he's looking for dating but nothing serious! I have absolutly no trust in him now & when I asked him what he was doing today (when he was online) he lied & said he was working. I know I want to dump him but he was also my first & has really hurt me so I want to hurt him back. First of all I was thinking of sending him a message on the site & if he replies then get talking as another person & set up a meeting then when I turn up I'll dump him...but I dont think thats enough? Hello, So my house was supposedly at auction, but the house sale was supposed to be stopped. The lender made sure it would not go onto the auction block. Today, we received a letter from someone representing a business that I've never heard of. They didn't mention the occupants, they only said the address. This letter states that we must leave the premises. From what I recall, it has to be a letter from the sheriff or from the city. I did a search on this person and the business and nothing comes up. I checked BBB and it doesn't recognize it. What do y'all think? I don't want to lose my house! (Snarky remarks will be reported) Does this sound fishy to you?Oh and on top of this, the person used an A.k.a with her real name. Open Question: It's so hard for me to make new friends?

I made a final decision this summer to cut off all of my "friends" because they weren't respecting me as a friend. I was the kind they went to for a ear but when it came my turn to talk nobody listened. Not only that but they acted as if they didn't want to be bothered with me and i am getting too old for games now. I am 22 yrs old and i been longing for a meaningful friendship. It could be just one person idc. But here's my problem.. 1. Ever since i've done this and over the years i built up a wall of basically protecting myself from rejection or someone being untrue to me just so i can save myself 2. I feel like because i don't have a job or attend college at the moment, people would judge me solely for that reason. Like for instance if i decided to speak to a person that does have a job and attends school that they would look at me negatively. Which i have very valid reasons as to why i'm stuck in this spot but i'm still fearing that that's what people would think of me 3. In these friendships that i valued (but of course they were not by the others) i gave a lot of my heart. I considered some of these people best friends and they all used me. So now i feel like i can't really be myself around someone because idk what the outcome will be 4. Idk as far as location where to even start my search. i live in NJ and in a town where for 11 years of living here i've came out with no real good friends. This issue is very hard for me because i really just don't have ANY friends. It was either be hurt by the others and wear a blindfold or save myself and just walk away from it all. I did the right thing which was walk away... but now i have to start from the beginning and i'm starting to lose hope. I search online, that doesn't work. Im just curious as to how edd keeps up with all the claim forms that are coming in to them each week. Are people opening every single letter and checking that the forms are filled out correctly or are they going through a machine? My friend says machine. more

Open Question: I need help finding a song =)?

I am looking for the title or singer of a song but I have had no luck at all. I've had one person tell me it's from the 70's or early 80's. I managed to get some lyrics. "It don't matter who you are", "I ain't telling you no lie" and, "A million heros long ago". The second lyric line is part of the chorus. It's really hard to tell what the first line of the chorus is from just listening so that's why I am having so much troubles. If anyone knows this song I would be forever grateful to know what it is. Resolved Question: What's the right way to drop off a resume at a restaurant (kitchen position)?

There is a restaurant that I absolutely love that I really want to work at. I've worked at one restaurant before and I've gone to culinary school. But this is my first time actually searching for a job, on my own without recommendations, and I really don't know how to ask if there are any open positions. I know that I need to go to the restaurant and ask for any openings in person and hand them my resume (at downtime, 3-4pm), but this particular restaurant closes down with a steel gate in front of the door like those in mall shops. So I can't knock on the front door. However, the back door seems to lead directly into the kitchen - would it be rude to knock and ask to speak to someone? And if I do, who do I ask for? It seems to be the only visible door that isn't totally locked down... but I don't want to disturb the cooks. I was thinking maybe I should just call the restaurant, but it doesn't seem like the best way. If it's just acceptable, I'd like to know. Any advice helps, especially from those who are in the field and have experience with job-hunting for cooking positions. I really want this job, more than anything, please help! more
