So, I eligible for an upgrade in a few months and I want to try something different. I want to get a touch screen phone, but the thing is I don't really care for the data plan that is required. I currently have a two-year contract with t-mobile and I'm not changing it. Mainly because the person paying my bill doesn't want too. How much is a data plan? T-Mobile are actually twats. They have actually taken credit off my phone, without me texting or calling anyone! I topped up my phone £5.00 worth of credit, I sent a few texts to my friends - after I had sent those texts, I checked my credit by dailing "150" and they said I had £3.20 left. I didn't send anymore texta after that - now I get a message rom them saying "Your credit is running low £0.99". I was like, what the fuck? Why do certain networks cause so much interference to other electronics especially audio e.g. radios, speakers etc? I especially notice this with Vodafone and T-Mobile here in the UK but 3 Network and Virgin seem okay and don't cause any. With Vodafone every couple minutes you get beeping like an ILS signal for when a plane in coming into land or Morse code sounds and other such interference if you have Hi-Fi on, radio, computer with speakers or tv etc. Even on a train when the conductor is making an announcement it interferes with that too. Why is that and is there anything you can do to prevent it? more

Open Question: Keep on seeing the clock at 00:00?

OK let me explain, I'm sitting on my phone in bed at night, and I just suddenly glance at the time on my mobile phone, without actually needing to know what the time is, and the time is exactly 00:00 It's freaky it started just before 2012 and has been happening ever since. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night for know particular reason, and I look at the clock and it's 00:00. But 00:00 is not the only one, during day and night I see 12:12, 10:10, 11:11, 15:15, 8:08, 16:16, 22:22, 23:23 / among others. It's really weird when I look at the time "knowingly" I don't see this. But sometimes I just get the urge to glance at the clock and it's something like 14:14. And a couple of days ago me and my friend was standing queue in the in the supermarket and I asked him what the time was, and he showed me his phone and it was 15:15. So I started to write down these different 11:11 on a piece of paper and to see a pattern of some sort. And I did, this usually happened to me 7 times a day. Anyone see these weird patterns ? I know I sound like a crazy person, I tried asking my sister but she looked at me like I was a moron. So I came here on yahoo answers lol. I have no idea what they are, or is just me that is paranoid ? I try forget about it, but it keeps popping up everywhere. more

So my parents are using Bell right now for their cell phone plans and they want to switch to Rogers. But their contracts end in December 2012 and I need them end their contracts early because I want a phone faster and they are not willing to do so because they know they have fees to pay to end their contracts early. Okay, so me and my boyfriend have been together for two years now, and about 2 months ago, he left home because he didn't get along with his mum, and moved into one of his friends' house temporarily. He had to pay for rent, and his own food, etc, and was only making like £100 a week, being in college full time too. I made myself ill by putting him first constantly, and I was really there for him more than ever, and it was really hard for me to not put myself first because I was blessed with parents who could afford things, and who made sure there was always food on the table, whereas my boyfriend's upbringing wasn't like that at all. He lost his job and took it out on me (nothing that I was surprised at) and started saying things like he didn't want to be with me, I deserved someone better and just general crap like that. He had to move back to his mum's house and he was really depressed. I've got really important exams coming up to determine if I get into the University that I want to go to, and they're in 2 weeks, and last for 10 days. So we've agreed to go on a "break" until then, so that he's not moaning that I'm only seeing him once a week because of revision, and so that he's not always texting me distracting me. We also said that we weren't going to tell anyone. But in the past two days, 6 people have asked me if me and him are okay, or if we're still together, and I've said yes, why, where have you got this information from? And their reply is "just wondering". I've asked my boyfriend, asking if he's told his friend who's quite a gossiper, and he got extremely offended and immediately pointed the finger to MY friend, who has no knowledge of what's going on between us. I also found out today that he'd recently been around a "friend's boyfriend's house", and usually he tells me absolutely everything (not in a controlling way), when we ask each other how our days have been. This led me to thinking, and he's only with me about 10% of his week, so the other 90%, he could be off doing anything, Especially now, I'm not seeing him for 3 weeks. There was also an incident involving Facebook, where I logged onto his account to get a mobile number from one of his messages (which he'd asked me to write down for him), and I saw a single message from a girl who I'd never heard of, ending in about 17 kisses. Curiosity got the better of me, and I know I shouldn't have, but I logged onto his emails to see what these messages had said, because he's deleted them, making me very suspicious, and I found a string of messages from like 6 different girls. I couldn't see what they said as not all of the messages were there. I asked my boyfriend about it, and he said "we were just going to meet up as friends", and he got moody and I couldn't talk to him. Yet another incident, we were in his room, and I was closest to the bedside table, so he asked me to look on his phone to see if one of his friends had text him back. I looked and saw the thread of messages from that friend, from last night, and he and my boyfriend were talking about his friend going out to town to a gig, asking if he could sleep at my boyfriend's house after, being close to the town centre. My boyfriend had text back saying "yeah sure, if you pull, bring me one". He knew I'd seen it and just laughed. He no longer has a Facebook, as I don't trust him enough, and he always acts like I'm the bad person. I don't understand why he treats me as bad as he does, as all of this only really started when I started my second year of college. Can someone please open my eyes for me and tell me what is going on? No stupid or silly answers please, get your kicks elsewhere. more

We have use wireless at home anyway but for when we are away, we have USB dongles and to run the credit down, i brought it home years ago, and the signal was terrible. Then my mobile contract ends with Virgin soon and that network is terrible for customer service and network quality. And i was testing networks where i got a sim card from 3 to test the signal and put it in my old LG Pop (GD510) and it was a great signal, but that phone isn't 3G. My mums boyfriend brought me over his old iPad this weekend, and it is 3G and is on network 3 and the signal was very low. Like the USB Dongle. more

Good morning, today I will be doing my oral presentation on cyber bullying and how it is affecting young children and how it should be stopped right now before things get worse. How many of you in this room have been cyber bullied before on the internet? Well, I’m pretty sure all of you have, a survey shows that 42 percent of young girls have suffered denigration via mobile phone text messaging or emails. One morning, a young 12 year old girl told her mother she was sick and would be unable to attend school. The student was absent from classes for a week before her mother, realised something other than illness was keeping her daughter away from school and she was determined to find out school. Her mother soon discovered that her daughter was the victim of a continued fight of "cyber bullying". A group of older girls were abusing her through emails and mobile phone text messages, threatening to beat her up and warning her: "You better not come to school because nobody likes you." Her mother told the teachers at the school. The parents of the bullies were called, and bullying was discussed at an assembly and in the school newsletter. But this only made things worse. The girl’s bullies were calling her a "dobber" and the bullying got worse. Six months later, the day before school started, the young girl was found dead in the backyard of her home. Her suicide is one of the most extreme examples of the effects of cyber-bullying; a new and dangerous form of abuse that education establishment, parents and governments are struggling to undertake. While bullying used to take place in the classroom, the playground, cyber-bullying goes beyond school boundaries into the realistic world. What makes it so attractive for bullies is that there is no face-to-face argument. Encouraged by the mystery of being online, bullies can, with the click of a button, be nastier, and can reach a far broader audience. There are many things that can be done to battle cyber bullying. The most important thing a victim of cyber bullying can do is not respond to the bully. Do not play in to the bully's games. Do not answer emails, do not respond to posts, do not connect in a chat room switch over, and do not copy what the bully is doing. Ignore the bullying and get help from parents and teachers. Cyber bullying is a serious issue that we all must tackle together, in order to kill its effects which for too long have been ignored, or brushed aside by slack schools. I would like to get a solution for a problem with my lover. To say about me, before my love I am a very jolly type person and will be caring to everyone. And I want everyone to like me so I had many friends also. And I had little childish behaviour too. These things only impressed my lover and made me to love. After our love started, seriously I was the happiest person in the world. In my life time no one showed me that much care and affection to me not even my parents. After a year problem between us started. Following are few issues we had and went into very big fight. 1. If I am talking in phone, I can’t concentrate on others things going around me. Even if he talks to me, it will not register in mind. I need to ask again after keeping phone. 2. He already advised me not to talk to anyone (if v meet while going out) by standing in the way and I should move and stand in corner, so that person walking by the way may not hit me. And also to say excuse me to a person while crossing him so that I ll cross without hitting him. But I meet one of friend in a mall, in the excitement or bcoz of any other reason I forgotten and started talking without moving to corner. 3. I am forgetting things easily. One day he said he is having stomach pain, but next day is asked him how is ur head ache. 4. He is very much serious abt my dressings. Even though I pinned my inners with my dress, sometimes it became visible without my notice and in few place I bend down (while taking dress from lower rack in shops or to pick something which fell down) without keeping hand in front and the position of thupatta would have moved sometimes. These things irritated him a lot. 5. He will give me few works to do, but I ll forgot to do few works in that. But I am doing many of his works. 6. Even while talking in phone, if he asks something which v discussed few minute ago, I am not able to recollect at all. Not the very big issues but small issues only. Even after giving few clues by him. I am not able to do. 7. Whatever opinion I am giving in any issues, he is saying that it’s not good. Even though at latter point my idea would have worked out, every time and in every issue, he is not taking my point. He has fixed in his mind that I ll think like loose always. 8. I ll do few works of him with great difficulty, but he ll scold me for the small mistakes in that but he ll not appreciate/ encourage for the work I did. I ll get scolding’s only as If I didn’t did anything in that. Bcoz he is feeling that if he appreciate, I ll not be careful in other works. I don’t mind doing his work which he is giving bcoz of his laziness but his scolding’s only making me to do the further work without interest. 9. In many issues he speaks with a dominating nature. Since I am doing mistakes like this, he ll tell that I should not scold him for the mistakes he is doing rarely. He is saying I am not worth or having right to ask him. 10. I was put in an orphanage where i was raped by a man, i didn't tell anyone, all these years my mother has been begging money and stuff from people, from social workers. i've been begging for grains and food from my godparents. Hi guys, I never expected this would happen; UK customs have seized my Lenovo W520 laptop $1700 (brand new, boxed) coming from USA. The person that sent it to me has wrongly described the content of the box sent via UPS. She decided that it would be "wiser" and "safer" to list the box content as some old clothes and a used mobile phone (she explained the reason she did it was because she heard that expensive items were often lost in post) So now, I received a letter from UKBA saying that I wouldn't be getting my laptop back and that if I want to dispute it then I have to write to an independent officer, also based within the UKBA. oh, and also got a letter from the sender confusing that she was acting independently and that I new nothing about that. Can anyone tell me if there is some way for me to get my Laptop back or should I even have any hope of getting it released? I am so depressed...... Please advice. Thanks guys. So I know I should probably just call and ask them. But it is midnight where I live and everyone in my house is asleep so I can't be making noise. My problem is, a while back a upgraded my tMobile phone to a myTouch 4G slide (no warranty,,,bad mistake). When I got it, they automatically made me purchase a data plan with it...at first I wanted to cancel it so I called and they said I couldn't, but i understood and just accepted the fact that I had to have one... Weeelll. I recently broke that phone (beyond repair) and now I am using an older phone I have that doesn't have internet on it. I don't have money to buy a new phone so I have no use for the data plan that came with my myTouch 4G slide. So my question is...will they cancel my data plan for me since I am no longer using it? I tried to cancel it myself online but they wouldn't let me and kept saying I need to call customer care (which I will be doing first thing in the morning).
