Resolved Question: how to blog using blogger.com HELP FOR A SCHOOL PROJECT?

please if any1 knows how 2 use blogger please help me. I created one but i dont know how to write in it or anything. these are my teachers rules for the project: 1. Select one of the hardware items from the list below. Select an item your interested in and perhaps maybe looking to purchase. a. Digital Camera b. Video Camera c. 3 or 4 in 1 ink jet printer, scanner, copier, fax d. Laser printer e. High Definition Television i. Plasma ii. LCD iii. DLP f. LCD Projector g. Document Camera h. DVD Player or Portable DVD Player i. Digital Voice Recorder j. Laptop k. Cell Phone l. Label Maker/Printer m. GPS Unit n. MP3 Player 2. Using the Internet, advertisement circulars, magazines, and/or trips to the store, research the specifications. Learn everything you can about your hardware choice. Compare it with many other devices of the same type of hardware. 3. You will write a Blog using the Blogging tool in Blogger.com. The blog is a review of the hardware that you researched. It is important that you include the specifications in the blog as well as compare it with other hardware from different manufacturers or the same manufacturer but a different version. Above all else, try to avoid writing a positive or negative critique of the hardware. Try to keep your review neutral. 4. If Possible, be sure to include a picture of your selected hardware. 5. The total review will be less than a full page of paper. It is highly recommended you write the review in Microsoft Word first, or other word processing program, and then copy-n-paste the work into the blog you create. please if someone could help me im desperate im about 2 take a 0 and fail the class. ill give u my blog email and pw i just need help please :(((((((( more

Resolved Question: DSLR camera question?

Hi, I'm on a bit of a limited budget and really want to get into photography using a dslr camera, nothing serious, just want to take great photos and learn more about it, and, after using one, I realise how great photos can look compared to point and shoot digital cameras! Would it be worth starting with a Nikon D3000 or Canon 1000D? I realise these cameras are a bit dated now but would they be ok for what I need? If there are any other recommendations for beginner dslr cameras I would be interested, just like to do lots of research before I buy one. Thanks more

Resolved Question: Is This A Paranormal Orb Or Dust Particle [Pic Included]?

The link below will take you to my Facebook album (its public). The picture I'm referring to is the 8th one, a man walking up a ramp. We were on a ghost tour at San Carlos Hotel in Phoenix AZ on Saturday night. I know that digital cameras are terrible to take 'ghost hunting' because they show an excessive amount of 'orbs' which are actually dust particles and other natural caused orbs, not paranormal. THIS one orb (on the back of his neck) was very prominent however, and the only one out of over 90 pictures to show up and bright, solid and textured looking. I'm well aware that there are a lot of dust particle orbs in this shot, however this one orb seems to really stand out. Is this a potentially paranormal orb OR just a big piece of dust?!? http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150918957170514.763215.762970513&type=1 (I have a few other pictures in the album you can look through to see the other dust particles that show up and compare to the single orb in question) more

Resolved Question: Which is the best camera?

Okay, so I've recently decided to take up photography (mainly of wildlife) and I've been doing a little research and decided on getting a digital SLR. (This sounds lame but,) I went to a comparisons website and compared 3 different types of Canon cameras and I was wondering if any of you could suggest which would be the best option. Note: I don't really have a budget. Here's the link to the comparisons I did: http://www.canon.co.uk/for_home/compare_products/loadcomparator.asp?prod=5161B001AA;3820B001AA;4465B001AA;&lang=UK&country=CE&dir=/for_home/product_finder/cameras/digital_slr/ more

Resolved Question: How much better are DSLRs compared to Digital Compacts?

My friend bought a pretty decent point and shoot with 14 megapixels and I have a second hand Nikon D40x with 12 megapixels. He keeps saying his is better quality because the results look similar. I see where he is coming from and would I of been better off getting a camera that was much cheaper? What is your opinion on DSLR Vs. Digital Compact? I will always stay with DSLRs anyway :3 more

Resolved Question: Everything on my face slants?

When I take a picture of myself from a digital camera or when someone takes a picture of me my left eye is really small compared to my right eye. Like the left eye is full on open when it looks like im closing my right eye, when I feel both my eyes are completely open. And my lip (when I smile) also show the appearance of it slanting. my lower lip is bigger and slants to the left. But when I take a picture of myself from a MyTouch 4G camera (the camera that faces you), my smile and my eyes look fine. Or when I look in a mirror, they look perfectly fine too. Can somebody explain? more

Resolved Question: I like a camera, but its almost twice the price here compared to anywhere else ,,, why ?

Hey, I need some info, I was looking for a camera called the sony t110 , On best buy USA its $ 219.00 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Sony+-+Cyber-shot+T110+16.1-Megapixel+Digital+Camera+-+Black/2553107.p?id=1218335740882&skuId=2553107 In france its €219 http://www.sony.fr/product/dsc-t-series/dsc-t110 In Germany €185 http://www.google.de/products/catalog?hl=de&q=sony+t110&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1024&bih=695&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=8314906102942079565&sa=X&ei=UlcCToWFFcKXhQfM1ZSqDQ&ved=0CF0Q8wIwAg#ps-sellers I live in ireland and it costs €308 on sale ????? http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/5595510/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CPhotography%7C14419436/c_2/3%7C19780865%7CDigital+cameras%7C14419441/c_3/4%7Ccat_14419441%7CAdvanced+compact+digital+cameras%7C26695340.htm Why is there such a tremendous difference in Price ?????? I think its ridiculous, I can clearly take a chape flight to france or germany and save €100-air costs and have a cool day out to buy this, but why such a difference in price. Dont tell me its vat. Also the UK is similarly prices to ireland at 245£ which is the euro equivelent to ireland. Why are we being ripped off ?I would think its import fees if I was in the middle of the pacific , but from france to ireland/uk, it really shouldnt cost 100€ to import one camera,,,Like i think Irish/british retailers are making one hell of a mark up :S ... Also, could anyone advise me on a small portable camera??? what would be the best, I really want something thin, portable (fits in my pocket), takes great photo's, has a reasonable zoom (im not expecting slr type zooms, just stuff to snap while im out and about), I like taking sports photo's so a camera that can take shot after shot quite quickly, and LONG batery life (very important). Thank you steve, i just have to check like warranty, I have never used amazon before.. maybe you could tell me what they are like? thats saving a lot of money,, i might go for the model above which is the same price as the t110 here in store more

Resolved Question: Do current rechargeable batteries compare in performance with Lithium ion battery packs supplied with cameras?

I'm looking to buy a new digital camera, but I don't want to have to spend a fortune on AA batteries. Do any AA rechargeable batteries compare performance-wise with the battery packs that the more expensive cameras come with, or should I just spend the extra money? Any help appreciated Sam more

Resolved Question: what should my first DSLR camera be?

Im looking to buy my first SLR camera? I am wanting to get an SLR camera. I dont know a lot about cameras however would like an SLR to take good quality photos that are of a better standard to a digital one. Ive looked into it quite a lot but would like advice or good review sites I could look at. I would mostly like to take photos that were closer up and capture as much detail (having a lense that can capture images a huge distance away is not important to me). Basically I am looking for suggestions of good SLR cameras that I can look at and compare. Obviously I want to get the best price and dont want to pay any more than £500. Thanks more

Resolved Question: I am a camera 'newbie' so can some one who is a bit more experienced help me?

My dad bought a new digital camera and i noticed all my friends have a camera and i never really wanted one. But when i saw how good my dads camera was it amazed me, i feel the technology is now good enough for it to be worth me getting one. However, his cost 190 pounds, which is an alright amount of money, but if i can pay less, i would like to :). I went on comet and did some comparisons... My dads camera the panasonic lumix DCM tz8 now reduced to 172 compared to the samsung es74 for 79 pounds. I can see that they both have pretty similar features, the es74 has more megapixels but less zoom but heres the bit im interested in... The image stabilisation : is optical image stabilasation better than digital image stabilisation, if so how? if not how? what do they both mean? thanks more

Resolved Question: I can't decide if I should keep the Pentax Optio E75 or the Optio LS1000?

I've had the Pentax Optio E75 digital camera for a couple of years now. It has done a good job and not let me down. I got it for £65 and I am proud of the buy. Whilst shopping in Asda, I noticed the Pentax Optio LS1000 for £50 and thought it was a good buy and time to upgrade. Although it has the extra mega-pixels and HD recording, the E75 is still a superb camera. I can't make my mind up as to which one I should keep and which one to sell. LS1000 is an upgrade. E75 seems more robust. LS1000 has HD recording, but the E75 didn't let me down in video recording. I'm planning a trip to china and maybe the extra mega-pixels will help capture that bit more in each shot. Anyone had tried both cameras? What do you think? I compared the cameras using this website if it helps. http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/camera/specification/compare/2159-2701-1429-1428.html more

Resolved Question: Which of these two DSLR cameras is better?

For christmas, I'd like a DSLR camera, i've narrowed my choices down to two (which are fairly cheap compared to some). I don't want the camera for anything professional, I just want one to capture good random pictures. I'm 14 years old by the way. So here are the two cameras i'm interested in: 1. http://www.general-imaging.co.uk/our-cameras/power-series/x5.html 2. http://www.comet.co.uk/p/Digital-Cameras/buy-FUJIFILM-FINEPIX-S1850-Digital-Camera/617393 You may have noticed that camera 1 has more mega pixels, however camera 2 has a better optical zoom, my mum says its more about the optical zoom than the mega pixels, but im not so sure. Please help!Ah thanks! I wasnt aware they wern't DLSR, silly me. Hmm, im more drawn towards the second one.  more

Resolved Question: Which camera should I get, upgrading from point and shoot?

Hi, I've had point and shoot digital cameras for ages, and now I want to start having more control and learning more about taking brilliant photos. I want to learn about the manual controls etc without going full dslr just yet (kind of an in-between camera). Im looking at the Canon G12, and the Sony Nex5. I know they don't really compare against each other, but what would you guys recommend? Are there any other cameras that are worth taking a look at? Thanks more

Resolved Question: How can I make photos look good with just a digital camera?

I'm trying to take good pictures of my Artwork, and I'm not sure why or what's going on, but every picture I take, it looks blurry. My camera is just a normal digital one and it's 13.6 Mega pixels. But still the photo's just look bad compared to an SLR camera. I'm not sure if it's because I'm taking the pictures in a dark place or because it's under artificial lighting and not natural light. I brought the camera like 2 yrs ago, It's been acting a little weird for a couple of months though. And my friend recently has been touching the lens too. Also I was thinking of getting one of those tripod stand things, because I know even the slightest movemnet I make, makes the picture blurred. more

Resolved Question: How does digital picture size compare to printing resolution?

Resolved Question: Best Digital Camera for under £150.?

Hi, I'm looking to buy a digital camera that will be used to take pictures on trips/holidays and days out, but also possibly indoor night shots. I have been looking at reviews but there are so many its difficult to choose. I have seen a few panasonic digital cameras I like such as the Lumix DMC FS10 and FS30, but I really have no idea how good these are compared to others in the range or what specifications I should be looking for. The FS30 for example has 14 Megapixels, but I have now read that megapixels doesn't really matter once you go past around 8MP, and can actually make picture quality worse, and take up a lot of space. I want a digital camera where there is very little lag between pressing the shutter button and actually taking the picture to reduce the risk of blurred pictures. I would also like it to be capable of a decent zoom. Can anyone suggest a compact camera within my budget that meets these demands/ stands out over the competition, and if you have time, what features should I be looking for in choosing a digital camera? P.S. I won't be taking much videos on it and so this isn't massively important. My needsa are on clear, high quality pictures. more

Resolved Question: Which camera should i buy?

I currently own an Olympus X-42 12mp and i quite honestly think it's the worlds worst camera. The only half decent photo's i've taken on this camera are on my flickr photo-stream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rachael_jepson/ <all the photo's have been taken using my olympus x42 and then edited using photoshop. I want a camera that takes photo's that are better than the ones shown on that photo-stream. The photo's shown on that page are exceptional compared to the rest of the photo's this camera has taken. (I know, i bet you can't imagine the awfulness of the everyday photographs it takes!) So anyway, i've been looking at camera's and have considered buying a larger one, A Fujifilm S1730: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5593543/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CPhotography%7C14419436/c_2/3%7Ccat_15701379%7CDigital+cameras+and+packages%7C14419441.htm?_$ja=tsid:11527%7Ccc:%7Cprd:5593543%7Ccat:photography+%3E+digital+cameras+and+packages+%3E+digital+cameras A Fujifilm S1800: http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?q=Fujifilm+S1800&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&cid=11016132243610732611&ei=Jv5fTIn1O9Te-QaOocjcBA&sa=title&ved=0CAcQ8wIwADgA#p A Canon Powershot SX120 IS http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-gb:IE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7DSGJ_enGB360&q=Canon+PowerShot+SX120+IS+Digital+Camera&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=8983246058620260347&ei=zf5fTMaeI5720wTdqf3TBw&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=3&ved=0CDMQ8wIwAg# What are your opinion on these camera's? Any suggestions for other camera's will be much appreciated also. My requirements are: need at least: 8x Optical Zoom, though preferably 10 or more. at least: 10 Megapixels and preferably: a Max ISO of 3200 or more and Face Detection a combination of Digital/Optical anti-blur and no more than about £150 Also the camera must have movie capture (preferably HD) with sound (clear sound) Not bothered about what batteries it takes, but would like to know, with Lithium-ION batteries, do i need a charger? Thanks in advance.Oh, the only reason i'm showing photo's taken is so that people can tell me what camera's would take ones better than that. Reviews of the camera i have are all bad, it's not just me, as when i use other peoples (different make) cameras it's fine, all of the settings are fine, i've reset the settings also, but the photo's just aren't good.I have researched and have found out that a combination of both types of anti-blur is best, though out the the two optical is better. So i would preferably like a combination. more

Resolved Question: New Kodak camera, poor compared to old one?

Hi I have literally just charged my new Kodak M320, which has pretty good review considering it is the lower end of the market. The point was to replace out old Kodak Easyshare digital which only had 3.1 mega pixels. I've take a few pictures and then uploaded them to my pc to look at the results. Well they are rubbish, I realize 9 megapixel for this day and age isn't amazing but the quality of the 3.1 old camera was much better, am I missing something here? I specifically chose a basic Camera features wise I only really need it for party's, holidays nothing difficult. Resolved Question: Canon A480 v Samsung ES20 Digital camera advice?

Hi anyone there could advise me which is the better camera for a budget traveller? Resolved Question: Confused about digital camera purchasing- I need help?

I've scrolled websites, compared, contrasted and just when I thought I'd found a camera I realised that it didn't have a wide-angle lens and it had really mixed reviews- which are somewhat confusing, especially as every opinion is different. I want a camera for amateur photography, I enjoy landscape photography, although I may photo close up nature (flowers, insects etc. etc.) If it helps I was looking at the Fujifilm Finepix S1500 because: -I wanted 10+ MP & around 12X optical zoom -It had an electronic VF -Macro Focus 2cm -Manual controls I don't really want to spend over £300 (but I can push to £350). I'm relatively familiar with cameras but could do with some more experienced help to make a decision. Thanks more

Resolved Question: Nikon D40 - isn't ISO 200 too high?

Hi people, Few people advised me to buy Nikon D40 with AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II I found, that the lowest ISO is 200. Wouldn't be picture too "noisy"? I have no clue about this SLR cameras and this one would be my first. Currently I use Casio Exilim P700. Does somebody know what is advantage of this SLR in compare to Digital (mentioned Casio)? Maybe silly question, but I have no clue. I believe, that macro will be better, and I will get more light through big lens. Many thanks for answers, any idea is welcome. more

Resolved Question: Why Do Older Digital Photos Look Worst Than Newer Digital Photos?

Is it because digital cameras have gotten better so that older digital camera photos look worst? Or do digital photos actually deteriorate over time? Why is that? more

Resolved Question: buying a replacement battery for my digital camera....?

I want to buy a replacement battery for my fugi finepix z1 digital camera so I looked in my camera manual and it says I need a NP-40 (750) mAh. I typed it in to amazon and it came up with a load of batteries that say they are suitable for my camera. It's only when I looked closer that I realised they are different to the battery i currently have. On my current battery it says NP-40 3.6v 750mAh, on the one i was going to buy it says NP-40 3.7v 780mAh......so i want to know whether this will be a problem? it claims to be compatible for my camera but i don't want to buy it and then break my camera. also i went on the fuji.co.uk website and a replacement battery there is £25 compared to the £5 one on amazon, obviously I'd like to save the £20 if the one from amazon will do the same job. so would just like a bit of help as i have no idea what the "v" and "mAh" mean. Voting Question: How difficult would it be to do a professional looking video on you tube?

I am a new-ish user to you tube, and any videos I put on are basic compared to the 'director' type ones you see on there. I only recently started adding music, fade in / out, slow motion to the videos. What I would really love to do is a pop video where I am miming to a back tracking and dancing to it as well, but with so many cuts in pop videos I wonder how I, on my own, can do this. Zoom is a particular problem, because when I walk away from my digital video camera, obviously I get smaller. I use Windows Movie Maker to edit videos. Would you YA! people have any suggestions please? more

Resolved Question: Digital vs 35mm photo.....?

As a generalisation, how many Mega Pixels is equivalent to a 35mm photo. Yes I know that digital is, well "digital" and 35mm is analogue so in this you can't really compare, and also it's down to the quality of the film used, ie best quality/finest grained film vs pound shop cheap any use film. And , yes, I'm aware that if you zoom in on a photo, the digital will pixelate well before the 35mm starts showing any graining, but I'm not going to print highly zoomed pictures anyway. Also I know the type of camera and quality of lens has a great deal to do with picture quality, but that's down to the camera and not like for like quality. So for this question... assuming two identical cameras, lets say a point and shoot, nothing fancy, typical take on holiday type camera (only one digital, the other 35mm) And I then take Identical photos from each camera... when I have the 35mm developed, what mega pixel would you need to "see" the same Resolution from a digital.?What I'm getting at, is not comparing 35mm to digital quality, as I've trawled the web and the consensous seems to be between 50 - 200MP. (I assume this is if for eg. I enlarged a 35mm print to say 6ft x 4ft and start seeing the graining effect, what digital MP equivalent would be need for the same effect to be visable) Also I'm not going down the road of SLR cameras, because this is a totaly different ball park, as now we're talking cutting edge technology and stupid prices. Realy the question is "at what point in Mega Pixels can you no longer tell the difference between digital and 35mm in as a photo?" more

Resolved Question: where can I get a film camera in London?

I hate digital cameras. Every digital picture I have printed, however large or small, has come out poor quality and pixellated compared to the sharpness I used to get with a small 35mm film camera. Can one still get small film cameras? And where???? more

Resolved Question: 18mm-70mm lens versus 6mm-72mm?

I'm looking at purchasing a digital SLR camera and I was wondering how the 18mm-70mm lens would compare to the one on my current fixed camera which is 6mm-72mm. I'd like to be able to zoom in as close as my current camera which works out as 12x, but the SLR kit lens is only 3.8x so doesn't sound as good despite the comparative large number. Am I getting this all wrong?SLR camera I am looking at is the Sony Alpha 200, and I currently have a Sony H2 if this helps more

Resolved Question: What's the best compact digital camera for low light photography without flash?

I'm looking for a compact digital camera, it will be used indoors for doing surveys in factories. Often it won't be possible to use a flash due to the presence of highly reflective stainless steel structures and plant. So I'm looking for the best performance camera in low light without a flash, plus it has to slip easily into a coat pocket. Any other features are not so important, except battery life. Any specific recommendations based on personal experience would be great. Otherwise is there a particular digital camera specification that tells me about its low light performance, so I can directly compare models? Thanks more
