Open Question: Which DSLR is better? The Canon EOS Rebel T3i Digital SLR Camera or Sony SLT A57?
This will be my first DSLR, but I do have a bit of experience with DSLR's so I'm not really falling into something totally new, but there are still many things yet to explore for myself in this field. A majority of what I will be shooting is still life compared to sports shots. I understand that Canon has a significantly wider ranger of lenses, but I honestly only see myself buying me one or two more lenses ever so it's not a big deal. On top of taking stills, I want a camera with solid video capabilities and have heard many mixed reviews, each saying that the sony shines or the canon shines. Obviously I'm quite torn and although I am aware that both meet in a similar quality range, I want to make sure this long term investment I'm going to make is everything I wanted.I'm aware that sony is a SLT, which gives it advantages and disadvantages. I feel however that Sony is really rising as serious competitor in this market, especially seeing as how their translucent mirror technology is what cannon is planning on implementing in later models.@Crim Liar You're mistaken. The Sony can take video for as long as the memory card allows it, another advantage of it being an SLT. moreResolved Question: Which of these cameras should I get? Beginning to study photography?
In September I'm going to be starting a level 3 extended diploma in photography so I'm looking into buying a new camera. I have a digital camera at the minute but want an upgrade. These are the two that I'm looking at: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5596746/Trail/searchtext%3ENIKON.htm http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5593189/Trail/searchtext%3ENIKON+DSLR.htm I'm currently comparing them on things such as price, MPixs and optical zoom. I've also read reviews on them and they both sound like good buys. Any advise or guidance is much appreciated. Thanks. moreResolved Question: how to blog using blogger.com HELP FOR A SCHOOL PROJECT?
please if any1 knows how 2 use blogger please help me. I created one but i dont know how to write in it or anything. these are my teachers rules for the project: 1. Select one of the hardware items from the list below. Select an item your interested in and perhaps maybe looking to purchase. a. Digital Camera b. Video Camera c. 3 or 4 in 1 ink jet printer, scanner, copier, fax d. Laser printer e. High Definition Television i. Plasma ii. LCD iii. DLP f. LCD Projector g. Document Camera h. DVD Player or Portable DVD Player i. Digital Voice Recorder j. Laptop k. Cell Phone l. Label Maker/Printer m. GPS Unit n. MP3 Player 2. Using the Internet, advertisement circulars, magazines, and/or trips to the store, research the specifications. Learn everything you can about your hardware choice. Compare it with many other devices of the same type of hardware. 3. You will write a Blog using the Blogging tool in Blogger.com. The blog is a review of the hardware that you researched. It is important that you include the specifications in the blog as well as compare it with other hardware from different manufacturers or the same manufacturer but a different version. Above all else, try to avoid writing a positive or negative critique of the hardware. Try to keep your review neutral. 4. If Possible, be sure to include a picture of your selected hardware. 5. The total review will be less than a full page of paper. It is highly recommended you write the review in Microsoft Word first, or other word processing program, and then copy-n-paste the work into the blog you create. please if someone could help me im desperate im about 2 take a 0 and fail the class. ill give u my blog email and pw i just need help please :(((((((( moreVoting Question: Is the Canon EF20mm f/2.8 wider than the kit lens?
I'm a bit confused. I understand a bit how focal lengths work, but I'm using old film gear and looking to switch over to digital for some stuff. The kit lens that comes with the Rebel series is a 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/ef_lens_lineup/ef_s_18_55mm_f_3_5_5_6_is_ii#Specifications), but it says it's on a lot of sites it says that "the focal length is equivalent to approx. 28-90mm in 35mm format." The EF 20mm f/2.8 (http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/ef_lens_lineup/ef_20mm_f_2_8_usm#Specifications) is considered a "super wide" by many review sites, but I'm not sure which focal length to compare it to, the actual or the "equivalent." Which is wider and by how much? moreResolved Question: nikon coolpix vs. Canon power shot?
hey guys i want to buy a digital camera that unlike sony or kodak, will last long and take great pics to upload on facebook, the web, print, ect. i am looking at the Nikon coolpix s41000 camera vs. Canon powershot sd3000 IS. I LOVE the nikons smile catcher mode and the canon vivid color mode. i know they are both around the same price range so thats not a biggie. if u have any info on which one is a better camera please let me know.... also if you have any web sites you know of with good deals on cameras and good info on how to chose a camera then let me know too. i have looked on youtube and seem a few reviews for both camersa but nothing that really is comparing them both. i have heard that Nikon supposibly makes better cameras but that the coolpix series are considered dantiy and arnt as sturdy or dont take as good of pics as the Canon powershot. once again i am looking at the Nikon coopix s41000 vs. Canon powershot sd3000 is. tell me what you guys think :) moreResolved Question: Looking for a new budget digital camera?
I'm looking for a new point to shoot digital camera. Which camera brand/model does produced vivid color and sharp images? Is Samsung digital camera good compare to others competitors? What i have in my mind currently is Samsung PL170... but its reviews not that great for this budget range camera. Specs i am looking for are able to capture hd video, 10mp or above, produced vivid color images, long battery life.... great for taking outdoor scenery (landscape) Preferred camera cost around $150-$200. Any brand, as long as it has the features i want listed above. moreResolved Question: Why is my non-DX Nikon 50mm f/1.8D lens actually 50mm in a DX camera?
I have a Nikon D80 DSLR camera which is not full format (FX) but rather DX, and I'm using the 18-135 mm DX kit lens. I also own a Nikon 50mm f/1.8D lens, which is supposed to be 50mm for FX cameras, as it is not specifically for DX cameras (there is a separate DX lens of the same variety). The lens I own is exactly this one: http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-50mm-Nikkor-Digital-Cameras/dp/B00005LEN4/ The reviews also say that this lens effectively is 75mm for use in DX cameras. I had always assumed that my lens was effectively 75mm while taking pictures. However yesterday I decided to compare my two lenses: I shot the same scene with both 50 and 75mm focal lengths with my kit lens, then shot with my 50mm prime lens. To my surprise, the picture from the 50mm lens was exactly the same with the 50mm on my kit lens, not the 75mm. So I'm completely dumbfounded, why is this so? moreResolved Question: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W350 is it any good?

I am looking into buying my first proffessional digital camera, im looking for an entry level dslr. I am an artist, but im looking into photography and would mostly use it for creative photography. Seems like the big competitors are Canon and Nikon. Ive been reading reviews and compareing cameras, it seems to me that the nikon takes a sharper picture compared to the canon. Also "camera" is a whole other language that i dont really understand. If you have any knowledge on cameras: What a good one to get? Anything i should look for when choosing a camera? Im trying to stay in the 500-800 dollar range. thanks:) moreResolved Question: Returning Sony Cybershot DSC-HX7V, getting Canon Powershot Elph 300, bad idea?
My mom bought me a Sony Cybershot DSC-HX7V from Costco for like $280 and I began to read reviews on it and the ratings weren't that great so I started looking for other digital cameras around the same price. Is the Canon Elph 300 a good choice? I did research a lot and compared the two and I'm thinking the Canon one is pretty decent.I can get the Canon Elph 300 for $230 online or $240 at best buy moreResolved Question: Please suggest a digital camera model details for all purpose photography. Im looking to buy my first SLR camera? I am wanting to get an SLR camera. I dont know a lot about cameras however would like an SLR to take good quality photos that are of a better standard to a digital one. Ive looked into it quite a lot but would like advice or good review sites I could look at. I would mostly like to take photos that were closer up and capture as much detail (having a lense that can capture images a huge distance away is not important to me). Basically I am looking for suggestions of good SLR cameras that I can look at and compare. Obviously I want to get the best price and dont want to pay any more than £500. Thanks moreResolved Question: I need help with Nikon D90?

JUST COMPARE IF camera+lenses in kit is worth the price they ask for. And also if the lense are good for digital cameras or just old camera's lens that can be used with d90. Please help. And also keep in mind i would like to purchase something up to $1500 that has one lens that is 55-200 or 55-300, or may be a kit with 2 lenses like 18-105 plus 55-200 . SO review the links and tell me which one is the best. moreResolved Question: Information on slr cameras, manual vs digital? canon vs nikon? help me please?
I'm starting to get serious about photography and i would really appreciate some advice from people who know slr cameras pretty well. i've been on like very website look from reviews to comparing cameras. i would like either a canon or a nikon, and i'm trying to decide between manual vs digital. i want to be able to capture pictures of basically anything, and i'm looking for really high quality. tops 1000$. please give me as much information as possible, i would appreciate it very much. thank you :) moreResolved Question: Which is a better camera? ?
I'm shopping for a new digital camera and I've narrowed it down to the Canon SX30 IS and fujifilm HS10. I currently own a fujifilm s1500 and it while its a ok camera it doesn't take superb pictures like I would like. I've read reviews on both camera's and some have compared them the same which has me confused on which to buy. So which is a better buy? Does anyone have 1 of these camera's? If tell what's great and what's bad. Thanks. moreResolved Question: kodak cameras versus sony, which ones are better?
Do any of you know why Kodak cameras are soo cheap compared to Sony? Im looking for a digital camera, I don't need a lot but I don't want a disposable one. There's a kodak camera 12 mpixels 3x zoom with 4gb memory card in 60 usd.. I was planning to spend a hundred on a similar camera (SONY).. so can you give me a review on kodak? thanksss moreResolved Question: Hey, camera sensor advice, please?
I'm comparing two cameras: the Finepix HS20, and the Nikon D3100. Both are great, but I'm currently in favour of the HS20 BECAUSE it has a huge zoom (if i wanted a good zoom on the D3100, I'd have to buy another lens), it has half an hour of continuous HD video recording (the D3100 only has 10 minutes), and it's got a boatload of other great features like high speed videos, 8fps continuous shooting, etc, etc. BUT, I read over a few reviews and I found that the "true resolution" of the HS20 is only 9.8 megapixels. It's specified at 16 megapixels! I know that this is because "true resolution" is a ratio between sensor size and such, but I'm curious to know, is "true resolution" accurate anymore? Considering that Fuji has developed a new sensor technology (you can see it here: http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/s/finepix_hs20exr/features/ ), and that large sensors heat up quickly. Does this mean that no matter what, bigger is better in sensor size, and even though I have all this amazing stuff in the camera's technology, the image will still be grainy? ANY help would be appreciated, especially that from professionals and reviewers alike. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!OK this is absolutely amazing. First, thanks to everybody answering. But I think that I might need to add some detail.fhotoace, the D3100's sensor is 12x larger than the HS20's, is it not? Also, I need to shoot long stretches of video at a time, at least 20mins each clip, so 10mins will not do. Also, I need the continuous shooting speed for shooting sports-I'm mostly going to be using this camera for taking pictures of tennis players.Troll, I understand your point of view, but I'm looking for more of a professional standpoint, aka more detail.EDWIN, thanks a lot! Your answer is really clearing up some things I'm not getting here. However, doesn't the lens zoom to 720mm?In that question above, "grain" meant "noise", I'm sorry for that error. Can anybody recommend a good camera for me? I know that this is one of those questions which often depends on the user's needs, but I'm really stuck here. I need:-1080p HD video for at least 20mins-at least 7fps continuous shooting at fu moreResolved Question: Any experience with mobilestorenow.com ?
I'm looking to buy a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and have been price comparing for a while. Most major retailers are pricing it right at $2499.99, but I ran across a site called mobilestorenow.com that has it priced at $1839.00 http://mobilestorenow.com/digital-slr-camera/canon-eos-5d-mark-ii-21mp-digital-slr-camera.html This is a fairly big price difference, and I cannot find decent reviews on the site. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with them, positive or negative? Thanks! moreVoting Question: canon sx20, what do you think?
i currently have a canon s3is digital camera and i'm looking to upgrade to a newer camera and the sx20 by canon seems to have good reviews across the board. Does anyone have any experience with this camera? I would really prefer a smaller camera than my s3is but the sx20 looks to be about the same size (grrrr). Anyway I'm just trying to find out what new features this camera has (over my current camera) and compared to others in the same price range (I'd prefer to spend no more than $300) also if someone knows of a different make/model of camera please do tell.... moreResolved Question: Canon S95 vs SX30 IS?
I'm looking into getting a camera. I want one that is better than a little 100$ one from walmart..I've heard great reviews on the S95 but as I was looking at the Canon site another one caught my attention... SX30 IS Does anyone know anything about these two? Here is the link from Canon, I don't know what all of this means. Which one with the options pixels ETC is the best camera? Or is there another one you think I should take into consideration. http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/digital_cameras?pageKeyCode=65&category=0901e0248006113a&compare=0901e024801cff65&compare=0901e024801f482c&compare=0901e024801cff60 moreResolved Question: How long do SLR Power Battery Packs last?
I am finally going to upgrade to a digital SLR soon and am trying to figure out how long these $250 power battery packs (that clip on to the bottom of the camera) last compared to a small $30-$60 battery. While there are reviews, this is the most important aspect of the item I cannot find. How long does this last and how much better is it than 1 or even 2 extra batteries? moreResolved Question: would the Fujifilm FinePix S200EXR Digital Camera .....?
be good for taking professional photos of people(portraits, model shoots)? they say it has features of dslr also, was wondering if it had good shutter speed. also I hear mixed reviews, some say the qulaity of the pics are ALMOST as good as dslr and some say they dont compare, any suggestions are good.these are all good answers so far but I only want to know about the Fujifilm FinePix S200EXR. moreResolved Question: Best Digital Camera for under £150.?
Hi, I'm looking to buy a digital camera that will be used to take pictures on trips/holidays and days out, but also possibly indoor night shots. I have been looking at reviews but there are so many its difficult to choose. I have seen a few panasonic digital cameras I like such as the Lumix DMC FS10 and FS30, but I really have no idea how good these are compared to others in the range or what specifications I should be looking for. The FS30 for example has 14 Megapixels, but I have now read that megapixels doesn't really matter once you go past around 8MP, and can actually make picture quality worse, and take up a lot of space. I want a digital camera where there is very little lag between pressing the shutter button and actually taking the picture to reduce the risk of blurred pictures. I would also like it to be capable of a decent zoom. Can anyone suggest a compact camera within my budget that meets these demands/ stands out over the competition, and if you have time, what features should I be looking for in choosing a digital camera? P.S. I won't be taking much videos on it and so this isn't massively important. My needsa are on clear, high quality pictures. moreResolved Question: A battle between Nikon and Canon (ok, Olympus too...)?
So I've ditched my point-and-shoot Sony Cybershot, and I'm currently left with the 2 MP camera on my phone. I am looking into entering the DSLR realm, and I've been intensely researching the pros and cons of both Nikon and Canon. I've looked at the Pen series of Olympus, but the quality brings back awful memories of the Cybershot. Now, I know it is the lens of the camera that really matters. But the body of the camera does too, if you're looking for those quality pictures. MP does not matter to me - the quality of the pictures do. They must be clear and crisp. Compare the two below: * http://gallery.photographyreview.com/images/reviews/sony_TX5/sony-tx5_ISO400.jpg - I really hate the haziness of these photos. My Cybershot made a few crisp images before, but most pictures ended up like this, especially in low light situations. Sigh.. ISO... vs. * http://www.theis.dk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/sample_l.jpg - Subject in the photo appears brilliant despite the low-light situation (probably used a flash) * http://www.nikon-image.com/products/camera/slr/digital/d80/img/sample/pic_003.jpg - The front half of the subject's head is in clear, crisp focus. But it quickly blurs towards the back of her head. My total budget is around $1,000. I want to take brilliant landscapes with HDR imaging, be able to take brilliant wedding photos (as best as possible using equipment within that budget), and memorable portrait images. Would the lens of Nikon or Canon be suitable for these tasks? Should I just get the body and buy lens separately or start with a kit (which usually comes with 18-55mm lens)? Is the 18-55 "good" enough if I can only carry one lens? And what's the deal with Nikon bringing out two new cameras this month? Are we expecting updates from Canon very soon? (Also, what is the difference between crop and conversion?) moreResolved Question: is the Fuji Finepix JZ310 a good camera?
i did a little research on a what a good digital camera is and mostly it talks about higher megapixels and higher optical zoom. the Fuji Finepix JZ310 has 12 megapixels and 10x optical zoom. i'm not sure about the image quality and image quality is important to me as well. i don't see much difference if i compare the pictures taken from my old camera (Canon Powershot SD30) to the Fuji camera. i thought there would be an apparent difference since the new camera is hd compared to my sd Canon. i also haven't found any informative review online by people who actually purchased it. so i don't know if i should be content with this one or should i purchase a digital canon camera instead since i am seeing more good reviews from it. i would really appreciate your advice on this one! thanks. moreResolved Question: Review of this lens - Tamron 10-24mm?

I am looking to buy a digital camera with good optical zoom for my parents. I am unable to decide between the above options because what is lacking in one camera is available in the other and vice versa. I do not wish to compare the camera on price yet, just on the performance at this point in time. Here is a wish list of what I expect the most from my camera: 1. Assuming that I'd want to print my pictures someday, EXCELLENT/EXCEPTIONAL quality of pictures in terms of: crisp/sharp images on zooming, natural color, good contrast, performance in low light, less of purple color interference 2. High optical zoom (anything >= 10x works for me just fine) 3. Smooth and crystal clear video recording with the ability to zoom in motion Nice to haves: 1. Panaromic sweep or photostitch feature or something similar 2. ability to shoot in HD 3. long battery life 4. good screen visibility in the sun 5. within the range of $200-$300 (I can go a little more than that if required) 6. <anything else that you may suggest. > I am not very keen on GPS because I know it won't be needed. Am hoping that you'd not lead me to another set of reviews on the internet that I may have already visited. Citing your own experience in deciding to buy and keeping any of the above would help the most I guess. Also, if you have other cameras to suggest, please do and cite your reason as well. Thanks for the information and your time. - Rahul moreResolved Question: plz change the following text in your own words and finally please do the conclusion?

The professional systems engaged in the manufacture and sale of business land mobile radio equipment, video surveillance equipment, commercial audio, video and display equipment. The entertainment segment is engaged in the plan, production and sale of music and video software, the manufacture of compact discs (CDs) and digital versatile discs (DVDs). The others segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of radio frequency ID systems, weather satellite data reception systems, other electronic devices, etc. The company has 134 subsidiaries and 11 associated companies. Integration purpose Through the management integration JVC Kenwood expanding the scope of previous cooperative efforts, which were limited to such aspects of operations as development production and procurement in common business segments car electronics and home audio, to other existing business segments and facilitate expansion into new domains in addition to reinforcing such business activities as marketing and sales. As for common businesses, the companies focusing the car electronics business into a strong profit center and increase the profitability of the Home Audio business by expanding the role of J&K Technologies to general procurement and manufacturing and ultimately, position the company as an operating company standing shoulder to shoulder with JVC and Kenwood. Through such policy, both companies will maximize synergy and enhance unified global corporate value while creating new corporate value. Both companies striving to establish solid positions as world-leading manufacturers specializing in AV products. Overview of the fiscal year The global economy in the fiscal year under review continued to be stagnant, affected by the economic crisis that was sparked by the financial turmoil originating in the US. However, signs of recovery have become apparent in some industries as a result of aggressive economic measures taken by governments in a number of countries and economic growth in emerging countries. Under such circumstances, operating results of the JVC Kenwood Group started recovering in the second quarter, after bottoming out in the first quarter. This was a result of efforts such as structural reforms that were implemented in the previous fiscal year and effect of the merger. The Group posted an operating profit in the fourth quarter for the first time since the third quarter of the previous fiscal year, posting a record profit after the management integration. Net Sales Net sales for the fiscal year under review were 398,663 million yen. This reflects the curtailment of the display segment in Europe and the slow recovery in sales in the camcorder segment of the Home&Mobile Electronics business as well as a delay in recovery of order-receiving in the Professional Systems business and shortage of hit movies and music in the Entertainment business. However, the Car Electronics business started recovering in the second quarter. Net sales for the fourth quarter stood at 93,237 million yen, down only about 11.4 billion yen (10.9%) from a year earlier since the sales increase in the Car Electronics business partially made up for the sales decrease in the Home&Mobile Electronics business. Compared with the third quarter of the fiscal year net sales decreased only by about 8.9 billion yen (8.7%) partly thanks to a sales recovery in the Professional Systems business. moreVoting Question: I'm having difficulty getting specs on canon eos 7d?
Cnet, Best Buy, and Canon are giving me different specs on the Canon EOS 7D. Cnet says that the minimum shutter speed is 30 seconds, where as in Best buy is says 1/60. Who should I trust? Better yet, if you have the camera, can you give me a hint? I'm a bit confused. "1/8000 to 1/60 sec., X-sync at 1/250 sec. 1/8000 to 30 sec., bulb (Total shutter speed range. Available range varies by shooting mode) " Can you help me understand how it varies between shooting modes, etc? Do I have to be in shutter-priority mode to get the 30 seconds? Hi, i am a mac user and love iphoto, however i have read a lot of good reviews on aperture and was thinking that should i move to aperture, the main question i would like to ask is that 'is aperture easy to use, i mean can a beginner use it' the other question is that the aperture file is it too big compared to iphoto as its 557 MB. Also would i be able to syn photos from my iphone and digital camera. Thank you moreResolved Question: which one.. Sony TX1 and Sony HX5V???? (lowlight, sweet panorama)?
Ive been trying to decide on which camera I want to buy. Ive looked at SO many reviews on both of the cameras but I'm still pretty stumped. When buying digital cameras before, I only looked at the megapixels of the camera. The bottom line is, I really like the sound (and the reviews that Ive read) On this new "EXMOR-R" CMOS censor- I cant tell you how many times I've been outside at night and tried to take GOOD pictures of different things and they either come out fuzzy with no flash, or the background is completely gone because the flash is too bright- So I like the idea of having a good camera with lowlight capabilities. Also, because my husband is in the Army, we travel a lot. The "Sweep Panorama" function on these cameras sounds brilliant. I was pretty much sold on getting the DSC-TX1 until I found out that they have since released the HX5V and now Im just confused. The only difference that I can see is that one is touch screen, and the other isn't. Either way, Both of these P&S cameras are expensive, and I want to make sure that whichever I chose is the best choice for me. I'm not a pro at this so I'm not sure what to look for or what to compare. Anyway. Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone ever used BOTH of these cameras and can tell me the biggest differences? Thank you in advance for your help. xoxo. moreResolved Question: Canon or Olympus digital camera?
I was initially planning to get a Canon Digital IXUS 130 IS but when i got to the shop, the salesman kept on pushing me towards an Olympus Mju 5010. Though the images from both camera screen showed that the Olympus 5010 has a brighter image, online reviews proved otherwise. I am not sure if it was the lighting, screen brightness or perhaps Canon cameras do tend to produce more yellowish images as compared to Olympus. It seems to me that he might have done so for a higher commission since he was overly biased towards that particular Olympus camera. Any advice on which to get? I'm just looking for a camera for casual purposes. Thanks! :) moreResolved Question: New Kodak camera, poor compared to old one?
Hi I have literally just charged my new Kodak M320, which has pretty good review considering it is the lower end of the market. The point was to replace out old Kodak Easyshare digital which only had 3.1 mega pixels. I've take a few pictures and then uploaded them to my pc to look at the results. Well they are rubbish, I realize 9 megapixel for this day and age isn't amazing but the quality of the 3.1 old camera was much better, am I missing something here? I specifically chose a basic Camera features wise I only really need it for party's, holidays nothing difficult. I've taken a couple of basic pictures and half have come out a little fuzzy, like there was movement, though there wasn't any? Help please got an event tomorrow, reason for buying new camera, but I really want some nice pictures. moreResolved Question: Which camera should I get?

Good Value Sharp-sharp-sharp images/photos Image Stabilization "Faster" Shutter Lag - a.k.a. take pictures faster Nice Features Portable Versatilty (indoors w/o flash, nighttime w/ flash, outdoors in the blazing sun, blue skies, cloudy days etc.) Accurate and beautiful colors The reviews for each camera are all over the place, and they are rarely compared to one another. One is more of the "good value" type, while the other comes from a very respectable line of cameras, but costs more. I'm a student who just wants to use this camera for documenting everyday situations (and perhaps some adventurous ones as well i.e. vacations etc.). Please, if you plan to recommend me an entirely different camera, stick to the requirements and do not venture into other brands. I would like to stick to a Canon Powershot or a Samsung. if you have, can you please help with my decision? first, please note this is regarding advanced, compact DIGITAL Cameras. [not dslrs] I've only owned a Canon powershot and Nikon, so I wouldn't know how Sony compares in terms of ease of use. I am in love with the Canon's layout and ease of use; its operating design. everything's easy to find and use, but it has complex features at the same time. How is the Sony's ease of use in comparison.? [I am specifically torn between these 2 camera: http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Sony_Cyber-shot_DSC_H20/verdict.shtml and http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Canon_PowerShot_SX120_IS/verdict.shtml . I looking into buying a camcorder and my budget is between $300 and $400. I will only be using this for family video's vacations, birthdays, etc. I have a couple of camcorders in mind and am not sure which one to go with. I have pretty much decided on Hard Drive Disk although I could be persuaded to Mini DV if I find a really great camera that fits within my budget. The first one is the Panasonic HDC-TM15... http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.item.E165495.desc.Panasonic-16GB-Hard-Drive-Full-High-Def-Cam-w16x-OpticalZoom I like that it is high def and it has a light on it for shooting in darker areas which is a common complaint about the other camera I am considering. But it doesn't seem to have nearly as many features as my second option. Also, it only has a 16 GB hard drive and 16x optical zoom which is nothing compared to the other one. My second option is the Panasonic SDR-H80... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Panasonic+-+Digital+Camcorder+with+60GB+Hard+Drive+and+2.7%22+Widescreen+LCD+Monitor+-+Black/9207002.p?id=1218058780192&skuId=9207002#tabbed-customerreviews I like this camera because it has a 60GB hard drive, 70x optical zoom, an anti-shock shield (protects from dropping) and it's about $100 cheaper than my first option. So I have a couple issues with this one. It's not hi-def and the image quality seems to be why the reviews weren't so good. However, after doing some research found out that standard def should be just fine if the camera is just used for general purposes. I really don't know which one to go with so I would appreciate any answers from owners of these camera or just anyone who knows a little something about camcorders. Thanks a lot!I also wanted to add that if you know of any other HDD or Mini DV camcorders that might be a better option for me, please let me know!!! moreResolved Question: Which of these two Canon digitals cameras should i get?

I am planning to buy a digital camera and upon checking on reviews and sample images I got to get across canon's a470 and a480 models. Most reviews say that for an entry level camera, they're quite impressive. I'm not quite particular with picture enhancements after I've shot an image (there's lot of photo editing software anyway..). But I'm more specific with the image quality it produces. Well for canon models I've got nothing to worry about color quality bec. I've seen they produce warmer colors compared with others (except for noise of course). I'm actually worried about the clarity or the crisp of image produced. Which of these models have an edge about this? moreResolved Question: HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 POINTS???
