Open Question: Why do iPhones have such limited capabilities?
Compared to android deviced like Samsung, HTC etc, they are worlds apart in terms of what you can actually do. Even in terms of hardware and specs i mean common when are they going to upgrade that pathetic 3.5 inch attempt at a screen? Dont get me started on iOS. Basically just a grid with squares on it with no customization what so ever. The only reason it sells is because of the trademark apple. Anything that they put an "i" infront of the stupid isheep customers will buy, even though they have no idea how pathetic it is for the price compared to "real" smartphones. A simple task like transferring files between your computer and your phone without using itunes, converting file formats etc. How about flash for the browser? How about downloading files from the browser? How about having an actual file browser on the phone? How about 4g speeds? i can go on forever. moreResolved Question: What determines the price of an SSD harddisk? What is important to look for?
I'm considering purchasing a new SSD disk for my computer -- I bought the first one when they were only just available on the market. But when I compare the prices and specs, they make no sense to me. A 60MB "OCZ Agility 2 Extended Capacities" (write: 275 MB/s, read 285 MB/s) is 10% more expensive than a 90 MB "OCZ Agility 3" (write: 500 MB/s, read:525 MB/s). That makes no sense to me: the latter seems superior in all aspects, yet it's cheaper. What am I overlooking?I only gave on example, but also when I compare other brands there doesn't seem to be a correlation between specs and price. moreResolved Question: 21 and never had a girlfriend?
My name is Ryan. I'm 20, about to be 21 in July. I've... never had a girlfriend nor have had any sexual encounters. No kissing, no hand-holding, nothing. A couple of months ago, I was very sad that I would never get a girlfriend but now, I'm starting to be ok with it. It's a process, I suppose. You see, no girl has ever been interested in me. No girl has ever paid me compliments, I have never been in a one-on-one scenario with a girl. On the other side of the coin, my friends have gotten very far with the opposite sex. Many of them are in relationships. I know life isn't a contest but I just can't help comparing myself with my friends - as we all started on the same level playing field. Well, not exactly... Physically, I think I'm alright. I'm 6" 1' and I weigh 180 pounds. My facial features aren't as chiseled as some of my friends but I know they could be worse. I hate viewing relationships as something to achieve or some type of progress instead of spontaneous and persistent occurrences, but that's what it's become to me. If I ever got into a relationship with a girl I like, it would be a big milestone and achievement for me, a signifier that I managed to somehow beat the odds. Add to the fact if I ever found a girl that liked me for me even with my off-kilter interests, I would feel very happy. However, as we know, we can't always get what we want in life. I want a new car. Can I get it? No. I want a new keyboard for my computer. Can I get it? No. I want to be able to move out of my parent's house right after graduation. Is that possible/feasible? No. So, this is another thing to add to the list. I have come to the conclusion that we simply don't always get what we want in life, no matter how bad we want it. Let's also be realistic, the lack of experience in relationships and the bedroom is another detriment to guys like me. Girls don't want guys who are clueless. They want guys that can rock their world in bed. No one likes to play teacher, especially at my age. This will only become more of a detriment as I advance in age. I have an uncanny ability to foresee things. I envision a life... alone. I do envision myself living in a nice house in comfort. At least I won't be distracted, nor have someone to negotiate my comings and goings, nor will my hand be forced to do things I don't want. It's freedom... at a price. It's liberating yet stifling at the same time. I wrote this so that people can see my viewpoints, this is for people who don't have girlfriends and never will. Hopefully I was able to give some light to someone. This is not negative thinking either, its realistic. It sucks but its realistic. You may leave thoughts below. Thanks,Hey Silver Morgan, why don't you go fuck yourself?@ AM: It's good you're a Christian and all but I'm not. Hell, I'm not even getting married. Pretty much all I would want is companionship I guess. And no, I do not believe that girls want a "pure" guy. Since when is purity determined by being a virgin? Sex is one of the most basic things you can do and it somehow makes you unclean? That type of thinking is ass backwards and twisted.@ Cherie: Why answer if you're not going to read. This post wasn't for you, its for people like that 36 year old man above. People like you already have sex or will definitely have sex. The people like me and that guy above you - won't.@ Crystal: I would rather have Mrs. Right Now because it proves that I can get Mrs. Right in the future. I don't want to wait twenty years to meet someone. That's fucking stupid. It's a waste of my youth.Girls are passive? HAHAHA! That's SOOOO rich. That's SO rich. You should see some of the "passive" behavior of some of the girls I know then. They're really passive when they start making moves on a guy at a party. They're really passive when they then suggest a long term friends-with-benefits with that same guy. That's passive behavior, alright.Where is telling a girl she's pretty going to get me? It's not getting me in her bedroom, that's for damn sure.@ Korina: I've been so open. I've been so damn open. I've never pushed any girls away. Why would I? I've only come to the conclusion that I'll be alone until recently. Because simply, no interest by females was shown in these years of my life. What does that mean? It means that no interest will ever be shown. Stupidity is doing the same thing over one thousand times expecting different results. I was tired of being stupid, so I changed my approach. You make it seem like its so easy to be in a relationship. Do you know how many times I have been shot down and cast aside? The odds are not in my favor.@ Victoria: I'm antisocial because i'm a virgin? What a world we live in. What a fucking world we live in. It's incredible that you say I'm antisocial just from reading five paragraphs of TRUTH, of hard TRUTH and FACTS that I've written here. It's incredible how many Einsteins come out of the woodwork when I write something like this. Everyone thinks they have the magic potion, the antidote, the remedy, the solution, the panacea. Infuckingcredible. moreOpen Question: Is Sheridan College in Canada still a good school?
Ok, so & i want to work in animation. my goal is to someday get a job working for Pixar. I'm confident in my drawing skills & portfolio, and right now I'm looking at applying to Ringling, Calarts, Sheridan, and SCAD. Ive been looking at Sheridan in Canada, & according to everything online its only $6,000 a year! seems crazy compared to the prices of all the other schools, & at in 1996 it was even called the "Harvard of animation". however its been a long time since 1996, & I've heard that the school isn't what it used to be. that teachers there don't really teach, & its hard to get a job because they have no connections. is that all true? & does Pixar recognize them as a good school still? I went Art Institute of Houston for a few quarters, hoping to transfer later. i found that the drawing classes there were decent, but the computer classes were HORRIBLE. i might as well just have bought the software & taught it to myself. i learned more in my public high school animation class. seriously. plus that place charges about 30,000 a year! it was ridiculous! anyway if i went to Sheridan would it be a similar experience? moreVoting Question: www.ibuypower.com Curiosity?
I was looking to buy a new computer from the website I mentioned in the title, www.ibuypower.com, and the price seems good for the quality of computer im getting. It seems almost too good compared to the Alienware I was considering, so I just want to know if anyone else bought a computer from them, and if it was the quality you expected etc. I just don't want to drop a large sum of money, and get a peice of junk. I have been searching for a good gaming laptop for a while now. It has proven to be quite irritating, Canada has terrible selection compared to the states. I originally thought of getting a HP dv7 because I like the build and it is very good apart from a entry level graphics card, which I later learned would hold the computer back from running many demanding games. I started looking a bit more and stumbled on a fairly well priced Asus. This is the computer...http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B005PAJHU4?ie=UTF8&ref=aw_bottom_links&force-full-site=1. I like to receive/send emails a lot and search the web. I never had an iphone. Though I have an ipod that costed me around $400 and a nice Mac (for over $2000, that I completely forgot about the nice mini Dell computer I have, which is so cute but terrible slowww comparing to Mac). So now my blackberry needs to be updated and I'm kind of bored of having blackberries, need something nice, efficient and worth the price.Which one is the best provider for iphone? from the three given (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon) I like Verizon better though the plans are kind of expensive. moreVoting Question: Any suggestions to a good computer build?
I wanted to build a computer this summer and I wanted to know of some other builds. If possible, could you post the overall price? I wanted to compare my cart with others.Budget: Approx $1000, I can go higher by a few hundreds but this is preferred maxGeneral Purpose: Photoshop, casual gaming, and school workI have nothing that i can re-use. The computer I'm using now is Dell that I got in 2005. moreResolved Question: Why do some people think that building a computer is more expensive than buying a pre-built computer?
It really makes no sense how that logic works! pre-built computers are actually more expensive! if you buy a computer for like $500 bucks, that computer was probably built with $400 dollars! but because the computer company needs to make a profit they raise the price up! with custom built computers if you have $500 bucks you can build a computer and get the performance that the pre-built $500 dollar computer couldn't give you! I built an $800 dollar gaming computer, I compared it with some of Alienware's $1000 dollar computers and their wasn't that much of a performance boost! the graphics cards were almost the same, and they had 8GB of RAM which I have 4GB, but RAM is really cheap, but the only reason why I don't upgrade to 8GB is because I'm a heavy multi-tasker and gamer and I've never ever... maxed out 4GB. thoughts? agree disagree? moreResolved Question: Can the EVGA GTX 560 Ti run Battlefield 3 on the highest settings?

So here's the problem. My fiance got me a beautiful white macbook 2 years ago (because he accidentally spilt water on my previous one, and it was something nice to do since I was getting out of the hospital). I have kept beautiful care of it. Still perfectly white and no problems with it. I wanted it to last as long as possible because the new Macbook pros are ugly! Grey and black. It just bothers me...Anyway. My fiance smashed my laptop in a fit of rage after I slapped him in an arguement, now he feels like a jerk and is going to buy me another. Ridiculous, I know. (We are going through an extremely stressful time right now). I want a Macbook pro because the hard drive is capable of running things like photoshop and pro tools. I want a Mac because I am into the arts (many facets of the arts) and I love and am used to macs. However I am somewhat open to PCs if there are no pretty Macs left...are there? Is there any way to pretty up one of them ugly new Macbook pros? Or are there any worthy pretty other computers? I have to pick it up straight from a store probably, and not online because I need one ASAP for school. Price is sort of an issue, but it's going on the visa either way because we don't have any money really...any advice? On pretty computers? It may seem silly and my fiance doesn't understand why I'd want a nice looking computer until I compare it to his nice looking $5000 dollar bike...Thanks much :)Is it trustworthy to buy a used computer online or otherwise? I would think it would be sort of like buying a used car, where there's probably something wrong with it and that's why they're selling it....? moreResolved Question: Deciding on a engineer career? Help!!?
Hey everyone. Let me start of by saying that I'm 14 year old in high school and ii know this might be a little early to think about my future and stuff however I just wanted to be prepared. I am really interested in computers and technologies and always have been. I love thinking of how machines work and sometimes even open them to see the inside mechanism. Not only that but I love learning more about them. So because of my interests i decided on becoming an engineer. I did some researching and found out that newly entry engineers make about 50k - 70k a year. At first I thought this was amazing but then I did some more researching and found out that doctors make about 400k - 600k a year. Comparing the two prices I am really confused. Are engineers a low paying job? Is 50k - 70k a year decent and normal? Will it be enough to live a average lifestyle or should I think of changeing my career? I've been seriously considering buying a mac lately for music production. I have looked at buying "ableton live" which is a producing program, and I looked around for a good computer that will fit it's requirements. And I have come down to either a 13" macbook pro, or a 21.5" Imac. They are both the EXACT same price so that makes it a lot harder to choose from. I'm torn between the two because I'd like the Macbook for it's portability, but it lacks the RAM and the seperate in and out audio jacks that the Imac has. (Want an amp to boost sound quality and want headphones plugged in at the same time) Also the Imac has a better graphics card than the Macbook. I just could really use the portable feature of the Macbook. I'd like to take it to friends houses, or on trips and produce wherever I go.. So my question is the 21.5" Imac better for music production and downloading ALOT of short "sound clips" compared to the 13" Macbook Pro? Literally the only things I would be using the mac for is music production with the program: Ableton live, the requirements for it are: 1.8 GHz G4/G5 or faster (Intel® Mac recommended), 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended, if supported by your computer), Mac OS X 10.4.11 (10.5 or later recommended), DVD-ROM drive. and some school work programs, pages, keynote etc.. and a few light games like "minecraft" what would you suggest? thanks for the help!!I've heard that the 13" macbook gets heated up really easily, and that it's graphics card is terrible compared to the imac too.. what do you guys think? moreResolved Question: Which would be a better computer monitor?
Currently I am using an HP x20LED (1600x900), so I know that either of the following two choices will be much better. I am wondering which monitor would be better bang for the buck, and which one will look better. I would physically compare them side by side but I don't know where I would go to do that. Anyways, one is an ASUS 24" http://usa.asus.com/Display/LCD_Monitors/VS248HP/#specifications And the other is an HP 23" http://www.shopping.hp.com/product/display/display/1/storefronts/LM914AA%2523ABA;HHOJSID=6YLLP12GBkkLTGLJ0z9ydjHzwp7nNJCJhWnGZGzy2Gnn2wm6h1nN!19779833 There is very little price difference between the two. I'm kinda leaning towards the HP because it looks super thin and sexy, and has a glossy screen. From personal experience it seems to me that glossy computer monitors look sharper and have better colors. Not to mention the dot pitch is a slight bit smaller than the ASUS. I will be using my monitor for average college kid stuff (internet, microsoft word, etc) but also for gaming and blu ray movies. So I ask, with the information given, which would be a better monitor? Any opinions or advice will be much appreciated! moreResolved Question: Attention All Writers: What would make your life easier?

For example, a program that allows you to effectively enter character information, a feature that can help you get through writers block, organize scenes, compare/sync notes and research, a timeline for your story's plot, and maybe a word map for brainstorming? What types of things would this program HAVE to have in order for you to consider it not only useful, but a necessity? Intelligent answers would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time! moreResolved Question: Which laptop should I buy?
Yesterday my Dell Inspiron 1440 laptop quit on me. I went shopping and I fell in love with 2 computers I was looking at. The first one that I loved was the HP Beats Edition. I love that it's the 14 inch size. It's not too big, but not too small. It's got the Beats audio in it which for me is kind of important. I listen to a lot of music and I can definitely tell the difference between a decent audio system and a crap audio system. Our family has also always had really good luck with HP computers. The last HP we bought was 7 years ago. It died about a month ago. So it's definitely a brand that I trust. The thing I don't really like about the computer is that it doesn't have a full keyboard. I kind of like having the number pad. It's not exactly a deal breaker but it is something to consider. Intel Core i5-2450M processor 2.50GHz 6GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory (expandable to 16GB) 640GB SATA hard drive SuperMulti DVD Burner 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN 14.0" HD+ anti-glare LED-backlit display Intel HD Graphics 3000 with up to 1696MB total graphics memory The other thing I fell in love with was the Asus Platinum. I love the full keyboard, but I know it's gonna be huge to lug around at school with me. I love the full metal casing. It also has an 8 cell battery compared to the 6 cell on the HP. It also has a 750 gig hard drive which is nice, but I guess doesn't really matter to me because I do have a 1TB external hard drive with all everything backed up onto anyway. The other thing I'm not really sure about is Asus. I've heard good things but I have absolutely no experience with it so I don't really trust it 100% the way I trust HP, but it is cheaper than the HP and that's definitely something to consider. 2nd Gen Intel® Core™ i5-2450M processor Features a 3MB L3 cache and 2.5GHz processor speed with Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz. Intel® Core™ i5 processor Features smart 4-way processing performance with a speed boost. Intel® Turbo Boost Technology 6GB DDR3 memory Multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with double-layer support 15.6" LED-backlit widescreen display 750GB hard drive (5400 rpm) I'm not really sure which to choose. There's also a significant price difference. The Asus is 680, and the HP is 800. I have the money so it doesn't really matter. So which is the better laptop for a college student? I do a little bit of light gaming. I use it mostly for school work and the internet, but I don't want to buy a cheaper machine because obviously that didn't work out for me the first time. If I'm going to commit I want to buy something that is really going to work for the next 4 or 5 years. So of the 2 computers which one would you recommend?Gaming isn't like super important to me. It's kind of like a casual once every couple of weeks things. The most important thing to me is having a laptop that will withstand being in a backpack all day at school, and it needs to be reliable. When my Dell quit on me I was in the middle of taking an online test for school and I really can't have that type of stuff happen, but that's what you get when you buy a cheap computer. moreResolved Question: Acer Aspire Timeline X 5830TG laptop for gaming?

hey, thanks for checking out my question. At the moment I'm sharing my PC with my brother but I'll be moving out soon so I'm looking to build a brand new higher spec computer since technology seems to have moved on since I built the old one :P Last time I spent weeks researching all the different products out there before eventually buying so I thought this time round I better ask the guys that already know about everything (that's you!). I'm hoping to do it for around £500-600. The graphics card that I've been looking at that looks pretty good value is the HD6850, but maybe I'm being a bit optimistic with my price range :P The CPU that seems pretty good for me is the intel i5 2320 I think (quad core 3GHz one). As for the rest I'm not sure at all. Don't know what motherboard I'm going to be needing or the best guys to get RAM from. I'm hoping I don't need another power supply since I can take the one from my old computer, but was hoping if anyone could tell me how good it is compared to what I need these days. It's the OCZ stealth Xtreme 500W. Got dual twelve V rails each with 18A on them I believe. Cheers guys!Cheers so far to everyone. I have always been a Nvidia guy myself but just from a quick google of the current cards it seemed that radeon cards were offering much more power/price than the geforces, but I'll give the GTX560ti a look.I shouldn't need a sound card since I've got myself seom nice USB headphones with a card built in (correct me if I'm being an idiot here but I don't think i should need one anyway)Can anyone tell me how mobo/cpu/graphics cards form different companies interact. I've always heard the intel/nvidia work best together and AMD/ATI are a good match too? any reason why? Also does an intel/AMD mobo only work with an intel/AMD CPU, or does either work fine together. Also is cooling really necessary? I've just had a basic fan that came with my case up until now on a core 2 quad and GTS250 and it worked fine. moreResolved Question: I7 3930k or I7 2600k (2700k) or even wait for ivy bridge processor?
So I had my heart set on doing a new powerful build some time this year (so not just yet), which would last me 3 to 4 years and hoped the SandyBridge-E CPUs would provide some degree of future proofing as well as long life. I mainly use my computer (desktop) for mainly gaming, watching videos and a occasional photo editing. (i just like to have fun with my pad and pen, noting to Intense) Based on what I had read so far, the i7 3930K clock for clock does not offer much improvement in game performance compared to the i7 2700K except with heavily threaded games. That being said, I like the notion of having the power of 2 additional cpu cores to take advantage of future software which is optimized for heavier multi threading, but of course this reassurance demands a pretty hefty price premium. I am however open to being persuaded otherwise, and would be interested to know if there are any other major advantages? Also, how much can i overclock both processors with the H100 cooler and still get a long life from it? Or.... should I play the waiting game for Ivy bridge or just opt for what is available now? I'd like to point out, i'm not loaded and don't own a magical money tree, so i would like to take into consideration about money wise. and is there any good information on the ivy bridge and how it would compare, along with price ranges? thanks for reading, looking forward to what has to be said. :) moreResolved Question: I7 3930k or I7 2600k (2700k) or wait for ivy bridge processor?

yo wassup i'm debating on if i wanna switch from a shitty pc that can barely open itunes at the moment (running windows 7, yeah i know not what you expect) to a mac.....13 pro model, just asking, is it worth it? i'm afraid to spend 1200 on a new computer that i'm not even sure that i'll like, i'm going to be using it for like editing skate videos, browsing the net, using multimedia, all that and maybe playing some emulators (If i can??? please also answer that lol, specifically if i can play n64) the only thing i would buy another pc for is gaming but i'm really looking more forward to something that will be better all around, i love windows 7 and pc dont get me wrong but the apple website makes the macs look so amazing, kinda like the ipod touch but when you get it it's not as sick as it looks on the website, it's sick but just not as perfect as they make it lol, but i'm just wondering, is a mac worth it? i wanna make a smart choice to edit my videos for skating and just making everything better and i'm looking for a faster pc all around also plus itunes is apple so.. haha also another thing is, i heard there may be a new macbook pro being released in april?? is this true??, should i wait?, if so i'm probably going to wait and see if the price drops on the current model or just get one of the new ones. haha anyways in a nutshell, what are the advantages of a mac and disadvantages, comparing it to a pc, and from what you've read, what do you think would be better for me, a mac or pc? car companies nowadays brag about their hybrids getting like 45mpg+. LOL BIG DEAL We've had corollas, geo metros, and plenty of other cars getting 40mpg for decades. Why haven't we seen a huge boost in efficiency over the years? Are we really incapable of improving the efficiency of the internal combustion engine? Look at computers 10 years ago; the internet was in its infancy, the RAM and hard drive space was a joke (compared to today's stuff), and computers were more expensive overall. Cars, on the other hand, have stayed pretty stagnant. Sure, we have better performance, better fuel economy since the very first cars, and overall they are safer, cleaner, and "better". But they aren't NEARLY getting better at the rate of other things. I've heard that oil companies buy out patents of extremely efficient engines (like 100mpg engines) so that they don't lose that much money. Is this true? It wouldn't suprise me if it was. Idk, I just look at gas prices, and look at the "pinnacle" of our mainstream car tech...the electric cars have crap range (most of them anyway) and don't work great in winter...and like i said, the mpg even on hybrids is only like 50mpg. wtf? moreResolved Question: Is it true that the super rich Elites are living in Mars and the Moon?
Here is the question: Why haven't we PUBLICLY gone back to the Moon? The answer is NOT: 'Well, there's no space race anymore.' Also, the answer is not that it is too expensive or too difficult. The computers that sent the Apollos to our satellite were infantile compared to those brilliant PCs that are in many millions of homes today. Of course, it takes vast amounts of money and effort to pull off a successful lunar mission. But our leaders do have huge resources and spend incredible sums on various projects...such as Middle-East wars! Then, THEY have to spend 87 billion dollars to reconstruct what THEY have destroyed in Iraq. Of course, it is not money from the rich that is spent on these needless wars and reconstruction. It's money from us; the middle-class and the poor. WE have no choice in the matter and must pay the price for anything our insane directors demand. THEY have kept technology from us. With the idea that the masses cannot assimilate quantum leaps of knowledge and innovation, they have suppressed things that could have greatly advanced humankind. THEY could help the masses, but THEY don't. That is not THEIR agenda. That is not THEIR job. The royalty/corporations/governments are supposed to be for the benefit of the people. The truth is: THEY are only out for themselves. THEIR real actions are only those where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. THEY are in the business of lies and deception. In the film '2001: A Space Odyssey,' there were lunar vacations. Those were not secret trips to the Moon. This was TWA, British Spacelines, etc. PUBLIC transports to the Moon should be a reality NOW! The truth is: We are much farther than you think from that ever being possible. How can the public go there and colonize the Moon when it would be discovered that our leaders have been lying to us for decades? Yes, 2001 was only a film. But, it was not a fantasy. In 1968, this movie was pure sci-fi and 'pure sci-fi' has always been a projection of future events. We always hear that: 'Soon, there will be human exploration on the Moon and Mars.' For many years, NASA has told us that this great accomplishment is just around the corner. Forget it folks; it's never going to happen. The Moon and Mars should have already been colonized. In fact, they are already colonized!! They have not been colonized by us; the general public. They have not been colonized by the rich. They have been colonized by the super-rich and the super-powerful. There have been secret launches into space and believe it or not dear readers: People are walking on the Moon right now! More unbelievable is the notion that secret bases are already in place on Mars! The super-rich can leave the Earth any time they choose. The Earth, the Moon and Mars are for THEM, not us.http://www.illuminati-news.com/ufos-and-aliens/html/secret_government.htmhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyuyeIVbwOM&list=FLwRDh89ZnCAAok0b_0EXB2g&index=8&feature=plpp_videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDvh3zyBqLk&feature=related moreResolved Question: How are apple's macbook pro 13-15 inch compared to other windows computers at the same price?

I've seen beats, senheisser, klipsch, bose. All of them usually priced at $100 or more (even senheisser can be up to $1000!). I personally don't know what makes headphones different from one to another. I own Asus HS-101, I got it free when I bought Asus computer. I checked it online, my headphone is only $20. Best of all I'm enjoying myself with my $20 in-ear headphone, and when I compared mine with my friend's Apple in-ear headphone ($80), I really can't spot the difference. I heard the same sound quality, bass, and noise isolating while I ride my bike. (Note that this is when I use headphone most time, that's why I prefer in-ear headphones) I was about to spend $100 (or slightly more) for a better headphone, but up until now I'm not sure if better headphones are exist. Are there someone kind enough to spare some time describing me what is the difference of each headphones? Because on paper they have the exactly same specs, it's frustatingly hard to tell which is better than another. And does anyone has an opinion of which one is the best in-ear headphone? So, I'm in high school, I had a Compaq Presario CQ62, and it pretty much went belly up like 3 days ago...and I need a new computer. I'm looking to buy a new laptop for college, but I'm not sure if I should get a mac. I've been using PC's ever since I was a child, but so many people say that macs are so much better, and would suite me better, since I am a rather creative, artistic person. Anyway, here's what I need in my computer: Around 14-15 (or 16)-inch screen Full standard size keyboard Very good processor (i5, i7 etc.....) Very powerful Graphics card (preferably Nvidia for PC, or... whatever the greatest mac graphics card is) Good performance (fast etc...) Good screen Disk drive That kind of stuff really..... One more thing; that is; How do Mac graphics cards (in the newer pro's) compare to a decent Nvidia card? I do some gaming (so I'd have to use boocamp; bad point for mac), so I would like to know how good the Mac cards are compared to a nvidia card. Continuing, many people put price into the equation. Please don't; I am willing to spend whatever at the moment, and when I get into further buying, then I will sort myself out a price Also, are Macs better for design etc.. because of their screen? If so, please say, because the 15Z and 14Z both have screens that can be almost as good as the Pro's. Please mention this in your answer Also, take into account that I will probably get fed up with looking for a Mac version of a program, so just bear that in mind please.... I need suggestions!?
Okay guys, i'm thinking of buying a Macbook but i am not sure what one to get. I have more than a £1000 budget but i wouldn't want to spend any more than that on just a computer. Anyway with that said i will tell you what i would like in a computer. 1. I would like to have looks, I think that the Macbook air looks best because of its thinness. The cheapest Macbook air is around £780, but the RAM on it is 2GB and 64GB Flash drive, but you can get a better version with 4GB RAM and 128GB drive for £929, This price brings it to the near price of the Macbook pro, which is £989 and has much better features. For example 2.3 GHz, when the Macbook air has just 1.6 MHz, the RAM on the Macbook Pro is 4GB and also the Macbook pro has 320GB memory. 2. I would like it for school work, so the Macbook Probably the best as it has more memory and a bigger screen. 3. I would like it for running games (things like Minecraft, COD ect), so one again the Macbook Pro is probably best as it has more memory and RAM, also a bigger screen. 4. I would also like it for personal use, like Facebook, Twitter, PayPal, Youtube, Film editing and music making, saving personal picture and videos ect. I hope that someone can answer this, if you have any of these computer please tell me your thoughts and opinions about these computers, or if you have both could you compare them please! I really am struggling to find the one that is best for me, i would go to the Apple store and ask them what they think i should get but they will probably just try to convince me to buy the most expensive one... The economic data indicates the recovery recovery are totally and completely inventions of Obama's political operation. The reality is that no recovery is taking place! Economist James Fitzgibbon, of the Highlander Fund, explains how cooked the economic statistics on which the president bases his claims of recovery really are. Begin with "gains" in the stock market. Fitzgibbon explains that they are no indication of changes in the public mood because the public isn't doing the investing anymore. He notes that HFT (high frequency trade computers) now "account for 80 percent [of the market's] daily business. No one else is left because they lost their money in 2008 and the public has fled the market ... Total NYSE volume is 67 percent lower on average than in 2008. I am currently an owner of a late 2007 Macbook Pro and am looking at possible upgrades. Before anyone tells me, I know the Macbook line is due for upgrades, I'm just comparing to current options and wondering what will suit my needs best. I love my MBP but am noticing that as I upgrade over time my RAM usage goes up and I find the internal HDD insufficient to handle the page outs that occur. I can't upgrade beyond 4gb (I have 3 already) and I have speed issues when I have more than a few programs open simultaneously. Today I went to a Best Buy and played with the new Airs and was thoroughly impressed. I opened the entire iWork suite, iTunes, iPhoto, multiple Youtube videos and more simultaneously and had no lag (my current more, powerful machine would experience major slowdowns after just the Youtube videos and iPhoto being open) despite the fact that I maxed out the RAM and it was paging out to the SDD. I expect this SDD is the primary reason for the speed bump (as the 1.6 GHZ i5 processor is far slower than my 2.2 GHZ Core 2) and I watched the RAM page out to swap in Activity Monitor at 8MB/S (my MBP only manages 2.) All the while I was swooping through Mission Control at max speed and doing everything I could to tax the system and check speed. I tried similar process' on MBP's and iMacs in the store and noticed programs open far slower (one "bounce" on the Air compared to half a dozen+ on the MBP's and iMac). I would also attribute this to the SSD. I say all this to preface my real question/ concern, I use my computer for some light photo editing, web browsing, school work (presentations and documents), light video editing, and not much more. I'm growing tired of the slow speed on my MBP and am looking for a proper upgrade. Would swapping out the slower HDD for an SSD on a new MBP make the machine as fast as or faster than an Air (in terms of opening programs and reducing lag when RAM runs out)? Or would a Macbook Air suit my needs just fine? I was using almost a half GB of swap on the Air and noticed no lag, so could I really get away in every day life with only 2GB RAM? Every day functional speed paired with low price is what I am looking for, the Air seems to suit my bill and I am wondering if anyone agrees. moreResolved Question: new hardware problems?

The hardware that i would be getting is outstanding, especially considering the price. They have a cheap price tag to begin with and i have discounts that help me save loads of money. So heres the specs on both of these computers, can someone please tell me which one is better. I will be using this for college, and all the fun college stuff that goes with it. I will also be using it for ALOT of internet browsing, periodic video editing, and periodic gaming. I wont be using it as a gaming console replacement, but ill stick 4-6 games on it and play with my friends online.
