Resolved Question: Questions about Jobs, College, and Future.?
Hey to all those college goers who is just trying to find what they want to do, well here's my issue. I am a person who changes her mind constantly, and that stresses me out so much, because I know I have to chose something. I am at the last year of college, I have majored in Anthropology, I love Anthropology, but I am depressed, because I don't know what to do with it. What I have never changed my mind on, are these interests: Photography, Archaelogy, Film, Culture. I recently found out two years ago about Anthropology, so I switched from Journalism (because I didn't feel for Journalism) to that, and now almost graduating, like others I don't know what to do, those up above are my four interests, so what to do to find a job. I have thought, that Cultural Anthropology could work for advertising, so maybe I could work for an magazine shooting pictures of archaeology and culture, maybe that's my solution. I just want something that will make me happy, and keep me financially stable. I'm also not sure to go to Grad School, because of money, if I will get in, or this GRE exam I heard you might have to take.

moreVoting Question: Is my freshman college 1st semester schedule wrong for transferring to UCLA?
First of all, I found out that my placement tests in math/english weren't processed so I have to take them again. I can still take them and get into math/english classes but it would be on a wait list. I figured, why stress myself out when I could just take the tests soon and actually take the Math/English classes next semester.
Does this schedule look like the wrong classes to take if I want to transfer to UCLA after 2 years? I was following the IGETC form, but some people were saying its the wrong sort of things to be taking. Help?

I'm at the Santa Rosa Junior College, and I'm planning on being here for two years to transfer to UCLA and major in Marketing and Film. This is my first semester of college, I just graduated from high school.
I am also planning on studying abroad in Florence, Italy for a semester next year. Some people say 12 is a good number to start with, but you can't graduate with that many credits per semester!
So, my current schedule has 16 credits.

moreResolved Question: How do I find a job working with animals?
I am interested in pursuing a career in animal studies. In fact, it is and always has been my sole passion. In high school and college I became especially interested in primatology. Most of my knowledge has been self-taught—I’ve devoured every book on animal (particulary ape) behavior I can find. And I have interned and volunteered with every organization related to my interest, from animal shelters to zoos to chimpanzee and lynx sanctuaries.
But at this point, I simply don’t know where else to go. I have a good anthropology department at my school, but no one knows ANYTHING about working with/studying animals. I just cant clean another cage in a shelter. I’m interested in biology, but I really don’t want to become a vet, or a vet tech…or even a zoologist for that matter. I am an anthropology/psychology major but I don’t want to pursue something abstract like archaeology.
I know some people work with wild animals—rehabilitating them and reintroducing them to the wild for instance—and to me, that sounds ideal. I would also love to film, photograph, or write about animals, even if it means never personally interacting with them. I feel I understand nearly every aspect of field biology. But I have no idea how to get INTO this field. It seems so random, like something you eventually just happen to fall into.
Everywhere I look it seems you need a degree in veterinary science or biology to work with animals in any way. It doesn’t make sense! You don’t have to go to medical school to be a social worker, or sociologist, or journalist, or anthropologist… So there MUST be some other way to study animals. Right?
Does anyone, anywhere, have any advice? Any internships to apply to? Any graduate schools they know of? Personal experience/advice? Anything at all?
Im desperate.
Thanks

moreResolved Question: Should I switch majors?
I'm currently going into my 3rd year of a four year honors BFA in Film here in Canada. I enjoy making films but the industry now strikes me as fickle and I don't like a lot of the egos I've encountered. It seems like many of the things I'm learning at film school are not worth the tuition and I could be learning them on my own with a bit if reading and work on my own projects.
I graduated from high school top of my class and I'm starting to think I might be better off pursuing a more academic career. I have always been interested in sociology; specifically anthropology and paleoanthropology, and it seems like this would be a more intellectually challenging and reliable field in which to pursue a career. Do you think it's worth it to switch degrees and universities now, or should I stick it out and graduate, and then decide if I want to pursue a second bachelor's degree?

moreResolved Question: What B.A subjects would you take if you were me?
I know exactly what what kind of lifestyle I'd like, but I'm not too sure how to obtain it.
I want to busy all the time. I want to be decently paid and working in a city. I'm okay with long hours so long as I'm not self employed.
I want a degree that can help lead me into that lifestyle, but doesn't work me so hard that i don't have time to draw and write - my two real passions (although I do not want a job where I have to draw, and I do not want to study English or literature). I don't want to be a journalist, and I've already ruled out law and architecture. A BA majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Art History is most appealing, but probably won't help me into the lifestyle I want. I'm considering politics and japanese, but I'm not too sure what kind of jobs I could get with them, either.
All the personality tests i've completed say i should go into law or administration, but the amount of study lawyers have to do doesn't appeal to me, and I'm not too sure if I could handle the responsibility of being an administrator.
My skills include debating and arguing, critical thinking, writing (essay and creative), and I'm a fast learner if given proper instructions. I prefer being told what to do than making decisions myself. I'm decent at science and maths, but they're not my favorite subjects.
I know I want to go to university to do a Bachelor of Arts, but I just can't decide what subjects would be best for me.
This is what I have to choose from:
Ancient History | Anthropology | Art History | Asian Studies | Chinese | Classical Studies | Criminology | Dance* | Drama | Economics | Education | Employment Relations and Organisation Studies | English | English Language Acquisition and Linguistics | Ethics | Ethnomusicology* | European Studies | Film, Television and Media Studies | French | Geography | German | Greek (Ancient) | History | Italian | Japanese | Korean | Latin | Latin American Studies* | Linguistics | Linguistics and English Language Teaching | Logic and Computation | Māori Studies | Mathematics | Medieval and Early Modern European Studies* | Music | Music Education* | Pacific Studies | Philosophy | Political Studies | Psychology | Samoan* | Social Science for Public Health | Sociology | Spanish | Statistics | Tongan* | Women's Studies | Writing Studies
*Minor only
If you were in my position, what subject(s) would you take, and why?

I can only take one outside of school. If I take an art class I can get into the National Art Honors Society. If I take French 1 this year and 2 next year I'll have all the pre-requisites to get into Princeton. And the other classes are just exploratory options, things I'm interested in.

moreResolved Question: What is a good major for me?
I'm still a junior but I want to have a good idea of possible career options and majors so that I can have a better idea of what schools to apply to.
Basically I'm interested in:
-Film (I'm considering going to film school even though I heard it's not such a good idea)
-English/writing/reading
-Traveling (I would LOVE to travel to different countries and explore what there is to offer)
-Psychology/Anthropology
-Journalism (I enjoy doing research and "finding a story")
Side note: I'm terrible at anything math or science related
There's definitely more I'm interested in but haven't really figured out if I truly like it or am good at it yet (like graphic design) but these are just the basics. Thanks!
moreResolved Question: What is better to be an architect or an actress?
Art, anthropology, architecture, languages, interior design Acting, business... All of these have been considerations for my career through out my life.
What I have always wanted is to be a film and theater actress. I do local theater. and am still taking acting lessons. But I don't know if being a successful film actress as a career, which is what I want, would work because I have stretchmarks all over my body. arms, knees, behind knees, on the sides of my abdomen, and by my legs. So I think that I might be kidding myself that me being an actress would ever occur.
I am currently in second year of architecture. And it keeps growing on me. I am to graduate in four years and then planned on continuing my acting career and hopefully have it take off.
I have considered going to Japan to continue architecture. But that means graduating in 6 years. And probably have to give un on acting because I am now 18 years old. And graduating at 25 doesn't seem like a good age to practically star off an acting career. What do you think?

... respectively?
Also, what UCs specialize in this?
I am extremely interested in the theory of evolution, genetics, human sexuality, gender studies, the animal kingdom, psychology, religion, and film.
I was thinking of going to UCLA just for film, but I saw that my interests in other arenas outweighed film specialization, so I thought it wise to major not in film but Biology (Since I also live next to UCSD). The problem is I don't know what compartment I should aim for, like Biological Anthropology, or Bioengineering, or anything related to biological warfare (I find biological hazards and manipulation fascinating... like an evil scientists or something. lol).

moreResolved Question: Is it possible to double major and get both a BFA and a BA?
I recently got into York's BFA Film Production program and their BA Anthropology program. If I had to choose, I'd go for the BFA. But anthropology is another interest of mine and I don't want to just give it up. A friend of mine suggested doing a double major, but would this be possible? And how hard is it exactly to double major?
moreResolved Question: I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out what I want to do with my life, career wise. Could I have some advice?
Hello! I am 16 years old and a senior in high school. I skipped fourth grade and will be graduating before my 17th birthday, and going to college after I turn 17.
Long version!!:
I'm going to a community college to get my basic credits out of the way first, and will branch off from there. Lately I've been having conflicting interests as to what career I'm going into, and I'm really becoming discouraged.
I've been thoroughly involved in the arts since I was a child, and was going to go to school to become a director. I was wanting to direct horror films and/or TV shows, maybe something similar to Bones. I was also considering being a special effects artist, and work on props and makeup like gory zombies and stuff.
But lately, I've been intrigued with Forensics. If I were to take forensics classes, I'd have that background and be better with the horror films and such, so everything is realistic and full of detail... but I wouldn't be able to stand the smell of dead bodies, and am not what you would call "Supergenius" or anything. I love the show Bones, and find the character of Dr. Temperance Brennan to be a HUGE inspiration to me, so forensic anthropology would be an awesome career choice.
But on the other hand, I am thoroughly interested in bio-luminescence in marine animals, as well as cnidarians and other cephalopods like squid and octopi. But marine biology has absolutely nothing to do with either forensics or filmmaking, so I have no clue how to sate my interest for this. Maybe if I get rich and famous I could have a jellyfish tank?
Short version!!:
I was wanting to direct/do special effects for horror films, but I might want to be a forensic anthropologist instead. I couldn't bear the smell too long, though, so I'm confused. I might also want to be a marine biologist, but that has nothing to do with either and doesn't get a lot of work.
So, in even shorter terms:
I need some advice.
Thanks!I was originally going to an Art Institute, but would like to go to community college first to get basic credits out of the way, and for cheaper.
But now I'm not so sure.
moreResolved Question: I'm so stressed out, please help?
I'm failing math (in college) and anthropology (which is my major) and I keep shopping to make myself feel better. I work two jobs and I'm trying hard but nothing is working. Spring break is coming up and I can't even go home because its on the other coast of the U.S. The ticket is way too expensive. I'm trying to think positively about things, but today I get another e-mail warning me about my Math grade. Yes thank you Ivy League school.
I don't know what to do. Or even if I should be here.
I love makeup, art and film, and sometimes I wished I would have gone to an art school. I would be so much happier.
What should I do? ( and sorry for venting)

I'm an American student studying abroad in London for a semester. I'm here until May and most of my April/May weekends are open for travel. I have 1500 pounds in the bank, but I'm not looking for extensive stays- just a couple of days somewhere different.
Can anyone suggest places?
Specially what are good weekend trips within England besides London (Liverpool? Manchester? Bath?) and other places in the UK?
Where are good places to travel to in Europe?
(So far, I am going to Barcelona, Frankfurt, Heidelburg, Dusseldorf, Valencia, and Belfast)
I've never been anywhere outside of London in Europe yet! Please, any suggestions would be appreciated :D
Some background on me: I'm 19 and I'm studying Art History, Cultural Anthropology, and Television/Radio/Film.

moreResolved Question: Non-moronic 2012, who can I blame?
Sometime years ago, there must have been an anthropologist type who noted the whole "end" of a calendar of a culture(s) somewhere in Central America. Whether he/she believed/understood that it wrapped around is irrelevant, because in either case, this person(s) published a paper about it in an anthropology journal somewhere, and did not point out that it wrapped around.
With that background out of the way, does anyone know who the first d-ckhead is who glommed on to the "end" of a calendar and started marketing it as Doomsday, complete with a line of fully-functional action figures, the Long Count Nutrisystem Diet, got someone to write a bad film script and produce it, and continues to procreate the idea into what I can only assume is a large monetary fund somewhere growing larger as I type this?
Yes, I've asked this with an element of humor, but I would be interested in the person(s) responsible for it -- assuming that anyone knows any details closer than cronies and henchmen and people stupid enough to be true believers passing along the good word. Because it's a brilliant scheme.

moreResolved Question: Do you think that computers could ever become a god in the world today?
In my anthropology class we watched a video of Joseph Campbell (mythologist) talking about myths and their meanings. He brought up the subject of in this day and age technology, specifically computers, are becoming such integrated parts of every day lives that there could be the possibility of them becoming a sort of "deity" to people at some point. Do you think this scenario would ever be possible? Could computers somehow become a "religion" in the future? A couple of other things he mentioned in the film was that could the ability of pulling information "from thin air" be interpreted as a miracle. Obviously the info come from somewhere, but I'm sure some people would over look that and consider it a miracle. Some people have a moment of awe when they first see the capabilities of a computer, sort of similar to when you are first introduced to the power of a god in a way.
Just wondering what your thoughts are on the matter...
moreResolved Question: What is the best choice for me (school in Europe vs...)?
so I'm a high school junior but have enough credits to grad this year, so I'll be going to community college. I just turned 16 so I'm going to be a college student at 16. I was always planning on transferring to a UC, until I traveled to France on my own this winter. I realized that anything is possible and I might as well go to school over in Europe. But the thing is, I already have so many US college credits from AP tests. I'm fluent in Spanish and would love to go to U Barcelona, but their first language isn't even Spanish, and also I know so many people from all across France, but only speak a little (though I've never even taken a course in it).
So I was wondering what should I do, because I'm pretty sure college credits from AP exams don't transfer over to schools in Europe, and since I'm going to comm college next yr anyways I'm going to be getting a lot more credit. I would think going to an exchange program from the US would be a waste of money htough, caus directly applying to school over there is a fraction of shcools over there...Or maybe going to a very not-so-prestigious school and then studying abroad would be the same financially...? I'm in love with the culture over there, I fit in much better in the sense of the way people socialize, but it's also a tiny bit harder since I don't speak the language
BTW, in the US i'd be interested in majoring in Linguistics/Anthropology and then minoring in film/cinema or something math related

moreVoting Question: College app essay is it horrid?
The richness of humanity is found in their homes, in their marketplaces and in the daily rhythm of their lives. Daiskaku Ikada summarizes my general outlook on life by saying, “People can only live fully by helping others to live. When you give life to friends you truly live. Cultures can only realize their further richness by honoring other traditions and only by respecting natural life can humanity continue to exist.” My future and past are rooted deep in the idea of recognizing, understanding and appreciating the uniqueness of each individual’s customs.
Diverse, composed of distinct or unlike elements or qualities. A word I thought I had a complete understanding of until eighth grade, which is a year of transition for any young students, but for me continues to be one of my greatest growth experiences. Until then I had lived in Brasher Falls, a small town in upstate New York. A class size at Brasher Falls Central would be considered large if it were to reach above 90 students. This was no longer my reality, knowing each student in each grade wasn’t going to happen. I moved to Fairfax, Virginia, which is ten minutes outside of our nation’s capital. Diversity, a word known but not fully understood by many in a small community like my own, was given new meaning. My definition was completely altered when I walked into a school of over 1,000 peers which was the accumulation of merely two grades and many different ethnicities. I was able to meet people who adhered to religions I knew nothing about, who came from corners of the world which I had little knowledge on and spoke languages that were so beautifully foreign. Many may have encountered an immense culture shock, but I found myself to have an overwhelming sense of fascination, and cultural appreciation. Although it was only a year of my life I learned an insurmountable amount of things about cultures worldwide from students my own age and their families who had traveled thousands of miles, and seen thousands of different thing than I.
Another enlightening moment was seeing the diverse beauty in the eyes of each person who walked into the soup kitchen while I held the door open. I realized how valuable each person and their beliefs should be. I’ve learned many things like this through the trips that I make each Thanksgiving to a mission in New York City to work with the homeless. I’ve heard some of the most amazing stories and learned that no matter how little one may have they can also have an infinite amount of knowledge to share. Those on the streets often have more insight about what is truly important than many who have any luxury that could be asked for. Through every opportunity I’ve inherited a new lesson about the diverseness of our species and the world.
Through out life I’ve always had a hunger for knowledge and beauty, and I find culture to be one of the most elegant things on this earth. Seeing each individual society’s uniqueness is something I believe I will never stop marveling over, which has led me to want to study Anthropology. Shedding a little light on a world not often understood is the only direction I could picture my life going in. After encountering so many diverse people and individual traditions I long to understand as many as possible and hope to come closer to obtaining that goal by earning my degree.
I know I have only had a glimpse into the wonders hidden within the custom’s of others and hope to once again get the feeling I had walking in the doors in eighth grade. By receiving my degree in a university setting, I feel as though I will have the opportunity not only to learn from the classroom setting but also the diversity throughout campus. A degree in anthropology and film study will allow me to capture the breathtaking moments and share them following the words of Daiskaku Ikada. To share that feeling I have with another young girl through a documentary on a foreign place thousands of miles away, and sharing the beauty in diversity is what I hope to accomplish. I’d like to be able to give credit to your university for opening my eyes even wider through higher education.
moreResolved Question: Ok I don't know how to ask this, but how can a poor person get a phd?
Anyways, I lost my job a while ago and I paid off my bachelor's college debt. I promised myself that I'd go to grad school once I payed for my last degree, but I'm a little worried about getting into more dept. I know that I can get a phd, so I'm looking for ways to fund my adventure/ independence.
I'd like to teach college classes and do something where I'm always learning. I'm considering majors like philosophy, film, art, anthropology but I need an option for something that's in demand in a slow economy. In addition I have a 3.0 gpa and soon I'll be 25.
Most importantly I live in NYC and I want to move out. I know this is long... but what can I do? (also I'm the first person in my family to graduate from college in 2 generations. As you can imagine, I have to be a bit creative about my educational ambitions...)

I am thinking about doing a dual law degree/arts degree as from what I've read it enhances your career prospects as opposed to doing a single law degree.
If I do I have to choose two areas from the following list to coincide with my law degree, but I'm not sure which areas would be most helpful for a career in law. Can anyone give me advice?

moreResolved Question: Question for Romantic Cinema and Film specialist wrt "The Merry Widow"?
When I was a young boy (30 years ago) my parents would get those old "reel to reel" films from the Chicago Public Library. My parents would gather family and friends and watch beautiful movies to teach their children about the beauty of life and love, but perhaps also to ease their pain as post WWII refugees emerging from the flames of genocide under the soviet and nazi regimes that destroyed their young lives in Lithuania and threw them into the flames of war such as the bombing of Dresden and other horrors of that terrible episode of history. One movie that left a great effect upon our young lives was something like the "Merry Widow", but I don't think it is the 1934 version with Maurice Chevalier and Jeanette MacDonald, although in my child memory the film was very similar (black and white, romantic innocence, the theme of the widow looking for happiness). Does anyone know if there is another 30's-40's version of this movie or similar ? I remember two vivid scenes. In the beginning there is a scene of children dancing around a May pole, a spring festival. The widow seems to be remembering her lost love - at the end of the film, the "merry" widow sits under an apple tree in full spring bloom and as she dies (or dreams) among the falling white blossoms, her lost lover (husband) takes her by the hand and she is once again young and beautiful as she enters into eternal happiness. It is an incredibly beautiful film, it made me believe in the beauty of life, pure love and idealism despite the painful moments and wounds of human life. I would like to use the film in teaching of my Anthropology courses and in helping young people to ponder deeply and to try to believe in the beauty of life and love. Does anyone know what this film could be ? Is it another version of "The Merry Widow" or do these scenes that I described exist in the 1934 version ? Thank you for your help and may we all be filled with the joy of human and divine love in this blessed season. Thank you. Father Pierre
moreResolved Question: Have a BA in Film Production, but want a MA in Anthropology...?
I got my Bachelor's in Film Production, but I want to get my Masters in Anthropology. My career interests combine the two. I know this is probably going to vary between Universities for the most part, but generally speaking, do you think I'm probably just going to have to get another Bachelor's degree (in an anthro related field) in order to get accepted into a masters program for Anthropology?

moreResolved Question: I want to make documentaries, what should I major in?
I keep reading that it's film, however that's the technical part of it. I'm currently majoring in Anthropology because I thought it would be more relevant.
I want to make documentaries but not by actually filming them. I want to come up with the ides, possibly hosts the documentary (if needed) and write them from my findings as an Anthropologist. So technically am I getting this right? I always figured if I was able to I would present my findings to a network (Travel, NatGeo, Discovery, History) and propose a documentary idea.
If I'm way off base can someone tell me what the process is, or direct me to a place that can here? I really want to do this but I feel like if I major in film I won't have any of the credible knowledge I'll need.

moreResolved Question: How do I deal with the stress of school?
I'm a sophomore in college, and a photography major. Last year was a relatively easy year for me, and I didn't really get very stressed often. This year it's a little different. I'm about 4 weeks into the new year, and I'm taking my first photo class since high school, an anthropology class, a math class, and a criminal justice class. My criminal justice class requires me to write a 16-20 page paper, and I'm feeling very overwhelmed at the thought of it. I just developed my first roll of film in my photo class and it didn't come out too well, so now I'm stressing about that and thinking that I'm going to keep making mistakes throughout the semester and damaging my grade.
I only go to school 2 days a week, but I find myself not being able to enjoy my days off from school during the week because I'm always stressing about school the next day. I can't enjoy my time and relax because I'm thinking of all of the hard work ahead. I'm very envious of people who have easier schedules than me. How do I deal with this and not let school stress get to me?
moreResolved Question: I am a second year college student, what would be a good academic/career path for me?
Broad areas that I am interested in

Anthropology
--Linguistics

History
--*not* American history
-- Favorite would be
Some Attributes about me...
-- I am really terrible at writing essays, or anything formal or structured, I am good at open poetry. I do enjoy reading though, I am alright at interpretation, fairly good at comprehenshion.
-- I am kind of interested in science, however I find the college level of what I have taken was too complex for me to excel in. I liked biology and earth science best in high school, didn't really like chemistry. I would say I am average in my peers at math, however I don't enjoy most of it.
--I really love art. Drawing, sewing, and crafts, designing. However I have never had any formal training, not even a high school class. I like film photography, but like so many things I can't afford a camera, so its probably out of my options.
--I like languages, I only took a year of French in high school, and it was fairly easy tp pick up for me compared to my classmates. I alwasy got 100's on the test without studying at minute. I also really like Russian and Slavic languages. I am going to start a Japanese class this fall, because at my community college it was that or Spanish(nothing wrong with Spanish though)
-- The hardest part about college for me is all the righting. I went through high school no problem and no effort, becasue apart from english there weren't any. And I am a fairly good test taker, I usually study less and get higher scores, even if after the course I do tend to forget everything.
-- Personality wise, I am extremely shy, I feel like I have two sides. The part the most people know is really boring because I have such a hard time interacting, and am too scared of negative feedback to share my ideas. But, I don't consider this my real self, I think around people I am comfortable with I can be witty and funny and creative. Obviously from this, I hate public speaking, although I'm getting better at it slowly. My goal is to live in Seattle when I'm an adult, I grew up, and am currently stuck in a small town and it is not right for me. I am a night person, I really dislike waking up early.
Thanks for reading, sorry if it was too long/ or not enough. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Sorry for all the mistakes. My favorite history is *European. *writing *English... the list goes on

moreResolved Question: What Course should I apply for?
I never really intended on applying to this college, but EVERYONE applies there. So my mom got me an application anyway. The reason why I didn't want to apply there is cause I'm not interested in any of the courses offered. And I don't wanna apply to Fine Arts or Film just cause it's "easy to get into" and then shift in the middle of the year. I wanna take one, and finish (Unless it's interdisciplinary studies) I need something that'll help me get a job, I chose: (I didn't choose anything like Business cause I'm not really interested) I need to chose 2, and I need to write it like, the first one is the harder one to get into and the second is..the second.
BA Anthropology
BA Broadcast Communication
BA European Languages
BA Sociology
BA PsychologyThese courses I choose are like..the closest to my interest and they sound like fun.

moreResolved Question: I'm graduating and would like a creative music job. Tips on where to look?
I'll be graduating with a Bachelor's (Law and Anthropology) this summer but have always wanted to do music (parents wouldn't let me study it!) and I'm determined to get a job doing something music-related even if the pay is crap, to pay the bills until I get anywhere with my own creative endeavours.
I just have very little knowledge about different types of jobs in the music industry!
I am proficient at piano and guitar. I like composing (instrumental...for films etc) and songwriting, and am good at improvising. The thing I'm best at is playing by ear - hearing a song and playing it immediately, and arranging it. Is there anything those skills would be good for?
Thanks for the help!
P.S. I live in London.
moreResolved Question: What about sociocultural anthropology? major?
Hello everyone,
I'm currently taking a Physical Anthropology class I really enjoy it! I'm actually considering majoring in it.
However, I think I'd like to concentrate in Sociocultural anthropology rather than Physical Anthropology (and of course Archaology seems fun) and was wondering what relevance sociocultural anthropology has in the modern world?
If I continue to pursue anthropology, I think I'd like to pair the major with a minor in Peace & Conflict Studies.
I guess I'm just asking for some affirmation and explantion of the Anthropological world post-college?
There is more to it than research and experiements right?
As far as ultimate career goes, I want to write fiction/poetry and make films.
But I'd like to broaden my perspective rather than study my passions.
Thanks everyone!!
